 Schuyler had wandered off from her mother in search of her sister Zaira. She ran the way she though her sister and friend would be playing but didn't see them anywhere. Sky found herself in a large field, with flowers dispersed evenly throughout with trees on three sides. "Well this is pretty. Too bad Zai isn't here." She said sadly.

 Resting besides a copse of trees Thalion was enjoying the soft breeze that tickled his nose and ruffled his mane. Peaceful, quiet and serene just the type off place he preferred to be.
"Such a relaxing stunning day" he thought to himself. "No foals or silly mares to get in my way and vex me beyond all my endurance" he snorted to himself.
Looking about he suddenly saw something that made him stiffen with agitation. "A foal! Here? In my sanctuary? How dare that insignificant, obtrusive, ill mannered and extremely unwelcome young one!" he snorted angrily.
Stepping out from his spot he stood and looked over the foal. With a icy tone said "Who are you and why do you dare to impede upon my private sanctuary?"he demanded.

"Hello Mister." Schuyler said happily, not really paying attention to his tone. "This is your sanctuary?" She said before looking around. She pranced around a little bit, looking at the different kinds of flowers. "It's very pretty here. The flowers give off such a pretty scent. I can understand why you would stay here. The weather is nice isn't it? Such a sunny day always makes me want to play." She said with a smile. "Do you like to play mister?"

Standing stiff with indignation and listening to the incessant bothersome chatter from this foal Thalion was making his head throb.
Looking down at the foal he said "Play? Do I look like I like to play?" he asked with a edge to his voice. " I was enjoying the peace and quiet of the day until you so rudely interrupted me, Where is your parents? Surely they have some manners and they have been neglectful in teaching them to you" he said in a harsh tone.

"You're too old to play aren't you?" Schuyler asked. "Well..it depends on which mommy youre talking about...I dont know where my first mommy is...I think she got lost in the storm..." She said sadly. Her hoof started playing in the grass as she tried not to cry. Even though she has another mother now, she still missed her first one. "My new mommy tries to teach me but its hard to remember when I get so excited. I was looking for my sister who is playing with her friend but I dont know where they went. And I got lost and ended up here! Im sorry for trespassing mister."

Thalion was shocked to hear first mommy and the words after that were said as if from a great distance. Focusing his thoughts he looked down at the foal and noticed her fidgeting. "Why is this foal so fidgety? It's as if she is trying to distract herself from something. Really this is just getting irritating" he said to himself.
"You have two mothers?" he asked somewhat politely. "Where may I ask is the second one?" he tried to say nicely but it was difficult.

"I...I dont know where she is. I dont remember how to get home. I should've just stayed home. I found the most beautiful place to play but theres no one to play with!" Schuyler whined

The whining cut through Thalion's head at blazing speed causing him to wince. "Must you be whiny? Can you not talk without whining? Its really a simple thing to speak with dignity and respect' he said.
"Now I'm sure your mother is searching for you, possibly both mothers are searching for you." he said with a slight touch of humility to his voice.
"I'm sure there is plenty of foals to play with you or keep you occupied" he said slowly. "What is it you wish to do?" he asked suddenly.

"I-I'm sorry Mister." Schuyler tried to say normally. She hung her head trying to show him that she was sorry. She didn't understand why this man was being so rude.
"I know my first mommy isn't searching for me...my new mommy and I looked everywhere, but we couldn't find her. I hope she's ok. Maybe one day, when I'm bigger, I can go out and look for her. Its not like Tashi is a mean mommy, but everyone likes to know where they came from, right?" She asked curiously.
Sky paused, "There aren't many foals where my new home is, or even where my old one was. My mommy used to play games like hide and seek and tag with me. Though I'm sure she let me win in both of those." she said with a small giggle. "I kind of want to explore right now. This place is awesome!" She said enthusiastically.

Thalion noticed how the young one lowered her head and spoke so subdued he almost felt bad. Her voice seemed to be forced and she stammered abit in her reply. "I must intimidate her as I do most everyone else, bah why must it be that way?" he said to himself.
Looking around he silently agreed that the place they were in was awesome though that isnt the words he would use to describe it. "Explore? You wish to explore the area to see what treasures you can find? I'm sure there is much to discover here and I wish you luck. I am content on finding a quiet place to relax and enjoy the serenity" he said.

"You wouldn't want to treasure hunt with me mister? Oh, my name is Schuyler. I'm sorry for being rude and not introducing myself." Sky said in such a grown up voice. "Surely a walk would be nice, and you could appreciate the serene nature that surrounds you better." Sky was doing everything she could to try to make him play with her. He did seem like he was getting a bit nicer though, so she felt encouraged to continue.

"A treasure hunt?" he repeated in disbelief. "You wish for me to walk with you and treasure hunt?" he asked. Shaking his head he was dumbfounded this foal seemed to enjoy his company, most foals stay away from him. This young one seemed to want him to stay with her but why? he thought to himself.
"Very well young one I will walk with you to keep you company and out of trouble since your mother is not here you need a adult to keep an eye on you though I believe you to be capable to handle yourself if trouble arose" he said truthfully.
"This little one is getting to me" he said silenty to himself. "Maybe foals can be fun and not pests like I believe them to be" he muttered.

"Ok!" Schuyler said happily but not loudly. It seemed like this grown-up didn't like loud things. Which made sense of why he stayed in this clearing. Sky pranced ahead then looked back to make sure he was following. She wondered what kind of treasures she would find in the amazing place. "Thank you for coming with me mister. Its always nice to have company with you, well I think it is anyway..." She said the last part kind of quietly, wondering why he didn't like being around others. He was so pretty, surely he could make friends with someone. "I know! I'll be his friend." Sky thought to herself with a smile.

It seemed the happiness that this young one had was infectious or so Thalion believed. How happy she became when he said he would walk with her it's as if she was sure he wouldn't go with her. "My word foals are such confusing creatures, one moment they are annoying, next minute they are fun to be around. What is happening to me?" he thought to himself as he walked behind her.
Watching her prance ahead of him brought a smile to his face and he felt a feeling he has never felt before. "What a weird feeling this is what is it?" he pondered to himself.

Schuyler looked at all the pretty flowers that adorned the clearing. She admired each one, before moving on to the next different one. "There sure are a lot of different kinds of flowers out here! And they attract different kinds of wildlife. What kinds of animals have you seen her Mister?" She asked him as she surveyed as far as she could see. So far, she could only see butterflies and birds.
Along the horizon, Sky saw something shiny. "Oooh, whats that? Do you see it in the distance Mister? Its something shiny, lets go see what it is." She said happily before prancing ahead in a light, playful manner.
