 Aiden was lying drowsily on a soft bed of grass with the warmth of the sun beating down on his back and hindquarters making him comfortable. Though tired he was looking around to find something to amuse himself with. "I want to play but I do not see any other foals around" he said to himself.
Suddenly a flutter of movement caught his attention there off to his right was a brightly colored butterfly. It hovered a moment then darted off. Aiden got up and decided to chase it. Aiden giggled as he chased the butterfly.
"Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!" he shouted as he ran after the butterfly. "I love playing chasing games" he called to the butterfly.

 Voreti was taking a stroll down to one of the further watering holes. Why exactly, she wasn't sure. Maybe just to stretch her legs without trees being in her way. It really didn't matter now. She was out of her forest. The black mare pranced forward, feeling her mane and tail fluttering in the wind. That was one thing her forest didn't have. Strong winds. None to mess up her hair. The shout of another azrein caught her attention. She stopped and looked around. It wasn't long until she spot a foal running around. What was he doing? She remembered the fight with her adopted filly and shook her head. Oh no, she wasn't doing that again. Voreti would not take him. Keeping her eye on him though, she walked toward the scent of water for a drink.

Aiden was chasing the butterfly when suddenly it went straight up and disappeared into the bright sunlight. Aiden was confused and saddened to see his new friend leave him. "Awwww I wanted to play some more" he muttered out loud.
Looking around Aiden realized he had ran quite a distance and ended up near one of the watering holes outside of the lovely forest. A flash of black caught his attention peering back he saw a mare trotting towards the water to drink.
"Wonder if she wants to play?" he said to himself. Taking off at a run he ran straight towards the mare.

Voreti perked her ears as the sound of tiny hoof beats sounded behind her. Oh dear, he's spotted me then. Well he'd better not want a protector. She turned to face the foal. One ear twitched backward. Her drink would have to wait until she shooed him away. Surely his parents couldn't be far away. There didn't seem to be any adults in the immediate vicinity. While that was good news for the sanctity of her territory, it baffled her. What was with all these parentless foals lately?
She gave the foal a stern glare as he approached. "What exactly do you think you're doing out here alone? Surely your parents are worried about you."

Aiden was running full out at top speed towards the mare when suddenly she spoke to him. It frightened him so much he tried to stop and ended up skidding. As if he was in slow motion he was one second running, then skidding, then he was falling.
Pain burst into his body as he hit the ground hard. Stunned he laid there not moving trying to clear his head.

Voreti tried not to growl to herself. Why did she have to run into him? His plight was not lost completely on her. She walked over and shoved him with her nose. "C'mon kid. Get up." She kept at it insistently. He would get up, or she'd leave him here.

Aiden felt a nudge and slowly moved his legs. Turning he saw the black mare standing really close to him. "I will try to get up" he said.
Putting his front legs out he attempted to push up and used his back legs for leverage. "I am so clumsy" he thought to himself. "What must this mare think of me?" he said softly to himself.
"Im sorry I didnt mean to skid I wanted to play and thought you would play with me." he said honestly.

Voreti took a step back when he said he'd try. Foals were such ungainly things, as her recent experience had taught her. She certainly didn't need a hoof to the nose from this kid.
Play? Did he just run up to anyone and ask to play? Which would only work right up until he ran into one of the Six. Better her than one of them. Voreti gave a sigh. "Alright. What do you want to play?" She prayed his parents would arrive soon.

Aiden blinked at the black mare not sure he heard her correctly. "Did did you just say what do you want to play? Your going to play with me?" he yelped in surprise.
"Play play play play" he sang happilly as he began to run around in circles making himself dizzy with pleasure. "She will play with me" he cried spinning around.

Voreti resisted the urge to growl at him. Crazy foals. "I didn't say I wanted to, I just said I would." Maybe he'd gotten into some plant he shouldn't have. The mare watched as he started to spin. She huffed. At this rate she wouldn't have to actually play. Just stand here and look impressive. The youngster would keep himself amused.

Spinning around and around Aiden was giggling happily until he exhausted himself. Plopping on the ground he rolled onto his side and laughed until his sides hurt.
"Your fun to play with, what can we do next? Can we play near the water? Or chase butterflies? Maybe roll around in the flowers? Huh what can we do. Play play play!" he said gleefully.

Voreti gave a intrepid look to the foal as he fell to the ground laughing. Yup, all she had to do was stand around. She wondered if he perhaps had a few screws loose upstairs. When he mentioned the next activity, Voreti saw the chance to get what she wanted at the same time.
"How are you at fish herding?"

"Fish herding? I'm the bestest there is really I am!" he said enthuaistically. "I can herd the fish I can!" he said happily with a stupid grin on his face.
"Fish herding? What is that?" he thought to himself. "I dont want to stop playing but I dont want to make her mad either" he said to himself.

Voreti gave the foal a huge grin. "Excellent then! We should get started right away. Do you know the way to the river or should I lead?" She wondered how old this colt was. If he wasn't too old, then it wouldn't take much to tire him out.
