So...yeah. Browse, do whatever you need to. I don't think I'll have more than one (I have a hard time multitasking...) but maybe.

Personal Information

Name: Hayate Hikari
Age: 261
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Species: Shinigami
Ethnicity: Japanese
Division: 11th
Seat: Captain
Zanpakuto: Its name is Yabun Akisunerai (Night Prowler), and it consists of two blades. They are both the length of his arm and are very thin. The blade in his left hand is a deep black, almost obsidian color, with an edge sharp enough to cut through bone, while the one in his right hand (His more dominant hand) is the original grey color with a serrated edge.
Reiatsu Color: Black
Reiatsu Appearance: When his Reiatsu manifests itself, it makes the area in a very limited radius seem darker, decreasing visibility ever-so-slightly.
Personality: Hayate is extremely easy going and kind, but he has an intense work ethic that is second to none. Even after training in combat and wearing himself down to the point of exhaustion, he has made it a habit to help his opponent up. He has also been known to try his hand at making jokes, but sometimes they end up falling short. He assumes that he is a lot funnier than what he really is. It's almost scary how upbeat the boy can be. His downfall is his childlike naivety that often leads him to question others' decisions as well as his own, and to make some rather poor choices. He also has a tendency to be a bit annoying. He definitely doesn't act like a Captain. The only time he wouldn't be smiling is if he were in thought. He has never been anything less than disappointed, so when he is pushed to the point of anger, he lashes out at people, unsure of how to handle the strong emotion.

~Background~

Height: 6"1
Weight: 159 lb
Hair: (Shown in the picture)
Eyes: (Also shown in the picture)
Clothing: He wears a normal captain's uniform. Nothing out of the ordinary. On his hands, he has an old pair of black leather gloves-the first pair he ever bought. He assumes that because they've been with him so long that they're lucky, so he never takes them off. Ever.
Physical Appearance: Hayate is thin, but even though he does not look like it, he is very athletic.
Past Divisions: N/A
History: Hayate was a typical boy of the Rukon district. Sure, he stuck out because of his height even as a child, but his happy demeanor earned him tons of friends. His days were filled with playing with other kids, but his favorite time of day was night. His parents never monitored him, so he was free to roam about, which led to him getting mixed up with a group of thieves that he immediately idolized. He never mentioned it to anyone, but he took after the thieves, moonlighting as a thief himself. He started young, stealing fruits and toys. But as he got older, he wanted more. He began to get bolder with his crimes, stealing money and valuables and transitioning into the daytime. The difference between him and the thieves he grew up with? Hayate stole valuables and gave them to people as gifts instead of keeping them for himself. The only thing he kept was the money, which he used to purchase his first pair of black gloves. He purchased more, but they always seemed to rip and tear, rendering them useless to him. He became a hero to the youth, but a shopkeeper's worst nightmare. The years of running and leaping across rooftops made him a rather difficult man to catch, and his unnatural ability to somehow always find a way to land safely on his feet earned him the title of "Black Cat". After all, having Hayate hit your shop would be like having a stroke of horrible luck.
Although he was having fun terrorizing some and helping others, he longed for something more. Maybe to put his skill set to good use! He bid his home farewell and enrolled in the Soul Academy. The work wasn't easy, but Hayate definitely wasn't a quitter. Sure, he may have completely forgotten the chants to the kidou, but he shined in combat, using his time in the academy to perfect an acrobatic, quick striking style that made him hard to keep up with. Once he graduated, the young-looking man took his combat prowess into the combat oriented Squad 11.

Extra Weapons or Items: None
Gigai Appearance: The changes from his current form are that instead of his uniform, he wears a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, and some old sneakers. Also, his eyes become a deep brown color instead of the red that they normally are.
Hobbies: Telling Jokes, Climbing Trees
Favourite Food: Watermelon or Strawberries
Favourite Drink: Raspberry Iced Tea
Least Favourite Food: Seafood of any kind
Likes: Keeping others happy, successfully stealing something (Big or small), Making jokes
Dislikes: Disappointing people, when people refuse his help, getting caught
Relatives: His mother Sakura Hikari and his father Maeda Hikari.

~Zanpakuto Information ~

Zanpakuto Name: Yabun Akisunerai (Night Prowler)
Zanpakuto Type: Dual Katanas (Nodachi, Katana, etc)
Zanpakuto Sealed Appearance: They are both the length of his arm and are very thin. The blade in his right hand is a deep black, almost obsidian color, with an edge sharp enough to cut through bone with ease, while the one in his left hand is the original steel grey with a serrated edge, complete with deep grooves to catch other blades in.

Spirit Appearance: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Spirit Personality: The easiest way to describe Yabu is that he is the complete opposite of Hayate. He is impatient, teases him constantly, and has no desire to show the slightest bit of kindness toward others. He feels that Hayate is weak because of his caring nature (But others are more worthless than he is), and would immediately if he had the chance, but he had a profound respect for him because of his skills as a thief. But that's where the respect ends.
Spirit Relationship: Hayate feels that there is much to learn from Yabu and is deeply fond of him, but all Yabu wants is for the boy to leave him alone. They often times make jokes back and forth about each other. Yabu enjoys getting his ego pumped up though, so Hayate throws some compliments to him every now and then to coax advise from the cat spirit.
Spirit Inner World: Hayate's inner spirit world is a city of nothing but rooftops as far as the eye can see. The moon sits perfectly still in the sky, its full body shining pale light and illuminating the sea of endless rooftops. Between the buildings is a deep darkness that not even the strongest light would have a chance of permeating. It's like a quicksand trap; if he stepped into it, it would be nearly impossible to get out of. It is here that Yabu and Hayate converse while leaping across rooftops together, which inevitably leads to a race or two.
Shikai Appearance: The sleeves on his uniform elongate, covering up his arms completely. He also gains a hood that he pulls over his head, darkening his face to the point that all that can be seen is his hair and the faint red glow of his eyes. On top of the hood are two black fabric cat ears, standing straight up.
Shikai Release Command: "Let's show them what crossing a black cat can really do, Yabun Akisunerai!"
Shikai Release Appearance: Once released, Hayate's original Zanpakutos drastically alter their form. The blades bend themselves to bond to his gloves and expand, looking like large black cat paw gauntlets with the zanpakuto blades serving as claws. Just as before, the claws on his left hand are serrated while the claws on his right hand are simply extremely sharp. The paws can be whipped out at a distance of about 20 feet and retracted at will due to reinforced steel chains being attached to the gloves. The claws themselves stick out at about three feet.
Shikai Ability: Taking on the full skill set of a cat, he gains increased speed and heightened reflexes, as well as improved sight and night vision, though the latter only comes in handy at night (Obviously). Utilizing the claws, he can scale surfaces and cling to walls, improving his maneuverability far beyond shunpo and his own speed. He also can hear Yabun Akisunerai in his head. He is helpful occasionally, but usually, he ends up causing problems for Hayate.
Shikai Attacks:
Wild Cat: Using his claws as grappling hooks, he bounces off of the walls before flinging himself at his opponent, spinning like a drill with his claws pointed out in front of him. If he misses he often makes a quick recovery to continue the assault on his opponent.

Cat-astrophy-Hayate extends the claws out fully, tosses them both as far up as they'll go into the air, then brings them down at his opponent with earth shattering force. It is a rather slow attack, but the power more than compensates for the lack of speed.

Feline Fury-Hayate leaps forward and front flips at his opponent, claws whirling about him to make him a small, sharp sphere of pain before he lands.

Kitty Litter-Hayate extends his claws fully and sweeps his paws back and forth along the ground quickly, kicking up dust and other debris to make a dirt smokescreen. He can use this to take a more stealthy approach to his attacks or make a hasty retreat.

Bankai Appearance: When in bankai, his eyes now glow brightly and he is permanently hunched over, giving him the appearance that he is on all fours, stalking his prey. He becomes more feral and animalistic, even going so far as to have sharp fangs. He hardly speaks when he is in his bankai, only communicating through hisses and the occasional word.
Bankai Release Appearance: Hayate's bankai is unique, in the sense that he cannot control when it happens. It occurs as a sort of "Second Chance" if he is badly wounded or overly stressed, representing the anger that he keeps pent up inside of him finally coming to a peak. When it does happen, he'll clutch his head and scream wildly as he finally 'snaps' and loses himself to his inner fury. At this time, he'll thrash about until the transformation into his bankai is complete, which takes a few moments. Just as easily as he got into bankai, he can come out. If he is calmed down, his rage will subside and he will revert to his shikai form in an exhausted state.
Bankai Ability: Along with another increase to his foot speed and the speed that his claws are launched, a dome of darkness blocks out all sources of light within the dome's 350 ft radius. The area inside of the dome is a negative zone, devoid of all colors except black and white, and the red ominous glow of Hayate's eyes. Hayate can move about the dome freely, disappearing and reappearing at any point in the dome. This, however, takes a few moments and is extremely difficult to use in combat. It can easily be entered and exited by an opponent, but if they attempt to bring something in to illuminate the dome, the light will cease to exist until they leave the dome again. Hayate physically cannot leave the dome until either the battle is over or he has been defeated. At the same time, while fueled with the darkness, his chains can be extended to thirty feet and the claws themselves are enlongated to 6 feet.
Bankai Attacks:
Hell Cat-An upgraded version of the 'Wild Cat' attack, Hayate fades into the ground and moves about freely within his darkness until he pounces at his opponent like an arrow. If he misses, he disappears into the darkness and rises from the ground on his feet. He can chain his attacks together, disappearing and reappearing rapidly until he becomes tired and must rest.

Night Stalker-Hayate focuses and, instead of using the darkness to teleport, he blends in with the dark background and hides his body as well as his spiritual pressure. What he can't hide though, is the faint glow of his eyes. They are a dead giveaway to his position to the trained eye. While blended, he cannot teleport, but he can use this technique to land devastating counterattacks on unsuspecting enemies. In order to use any of his other attacks, he must first reveal himself and give away his element of surprise.

Feline Frenzy-An extremely straightforward attack, Hayate pounces at his opponent like a madman, claws flailing about as he tries to knock them to the ground. If he knocks them to the ground, he stands over them delivers a series of strikes aimed at their torso and face. The recovery time for this attack is immediate, and, after re-aligning himself, he can go for a second or even third attack.

He also retains the other attacks he gained in shikai, completely unchanged from their original form.
