Any member can add things (that are not just common sence like turning off lights) that can help reduce waste.
They are very appreciated.

The European Union funds all kinds of projects, so maybe they could have people go around school to teach kids about the importance of having a clean, stable environment. I don't know if they're doing sth like this already, it'd be mighty nice!

tips on going green?
this is really a hard subject.

There are many ways, and many that are only alternatives.
But there is a NUMBER 1 CONCERN.

Efficentcy SUCKS.
lets say that a small town has Heaters rated at 60%. And 1 person finds a heater that gives him 99%. His bill goes down, and soon, others discover what he has done.
More and more buy the new heaters.
After about 1/2 the town has the new heaters...The GAS corp decides to raise the Price of Fuel.
They were loosing money, BECAUSE you were more efficent.

Another point goes like this. DURABLE GOODS.(we used to have them)..
Its amazed me that so many dont know about GOOD quality materials. Stuff that can LAST. including clothing. Wool and Cotton and HEMP clothes have been around YEARS..even generations. Even the RICH, liked them. As they were used for Donations to the poor.
NOW, most clothing gets about 1-2 years use, and DIES..
Go check out the Thickness of Much to the clothing, BEFORE 1960..
Many goods, upto about 1990, were REPAIRABLE.. which meant that you could FIX something, cheaper then buying new.

To get to a point..look at the Cloth bags you get for groceries..PLASTIC/NYLON/Poly... They wont degrade very quick. They wont last more then a few years.
