  • If you have any questions here regarding the guild and how everything works, please post here - I will also answer here! Also, I will take suggestions, but please keep in mind that I don't have limitless time at my disposal, this is really a pet project for fun. <3 I try to add new things as I can.

I don't know how interesting this would be or if you've already considered it, but do you think a show thing for Pets might be fun/interesting?
You know, like PD and Fighters have physical stats ways to earn money for their owners, Pets could have appearance-based stats and can earn money by winning pet shows?

That's actually a really good idea, Reesh. xD That way all the domestics could earn money for their owners - and it makes logical sense. >> If you don't mind me stealing that suggestion, I think I'll implement that. xD

If I minded, I wouldn't have suggested it. XD
Go ahead, take it! Let me know if you need any help working out a stat-system. 3nodding

You mentioned elders! o: Is this something you get through X amount of roleplays, a certain span of time, saving money, or stat boosts?

It'll probably end up being like a lot of things - if you're really active, you'll eventually be offered a chance to turn one of your Mokai into an elder through a random event in your journal. x3 I'll probably also do special events for that opportunity as well.

The domestics and ferals/wilds will be handled a little differently - the domestic elders are more or less the overseers' helpers, so they're very very loyal (or at least give the semblance of being so) to the humans, and not sympathetic to any Mokai who want to escape/leave. Ferals/wild elders will be the opposite, and will probably require the help of a wise-Mokai/shaman elder in order to become an elder themselves. <3 I haven't entirely worked it out yet.

- Curiosity compels me to ask if Cosplays will be permitted or available within the shop? Naturally colored but could potions/paints/items = certain cosplays?

If you can manage to make cosplays with what's offered in terms of potions/paints/items, that's fine. xD But I won't be doing cosplays, nor will I offer potions to get specific cosplays. x3

A few more questions! Hopefully these help. >>;

question Will we be able to play our human characters? If so, do they understand the Mokai/do the mokai understand them? Or is it like a dog/human relationship?

question What’s the human settlement like? Kind of a tropical Island Hawaii type feel, is it a pretty large island, are there multiple islands?

question Will a pearl diver/fighter lose their stats if they change professions and/or go wild? Or will wilds be able to have a stat system of their own so they can compete with one another in the wild?

question Do the mokai have magical abilities of their own? Would this be something they can develop as elders?

This is all coming in the write-up I have about the Mokai/island in general, but I can post it here, too. xD

arrow Yes, you can play human characters. Even if you don't have a Mokai, you can play a human, they just won't get art. The Mokai can understand them, but they (with a few exceptions ... ) can't understand the Mokai, though they do know that the Mokai can understand them.

arrow The main island is rather large, about 100 miles long from north to south, and roughly 30 miles east to west. It's part of an archipelago that contains three other, smaller islands that have not yet been settled/explored. The mainland is a good 200 miles away. Portions of the islands are tropical, and others sub-tropical (think of New Zealand's varying climates), giving it overall a moderate climate. It's located south enough of the equator to result in snow during winter. The settlement itself has only been around for a few decades - there are about two thousand humans living there currently, give or take, with a few odd loners who live in the more 'rough' parts of the island. Electricity hasn't been invented, everything is still powered by steam, and ideals of the late nineteenth century are still in play. It's not the nicest of places: child labor is very much in effect among the poor working class, and there are only a handful of 'elite,' although the gap isn't yet nearly as bad as it is on the mainland. Females are still considered inferior to males, although some in the middle-classes can get ahead by practicing science or machinery. Among the higher classes, music and opera, besides the Mokai fighting, are considered popular forms of entertainment, although the town only has one small company of performers at the moment.

arrow I'm not sure yet; not sure how the wilds are going to work in regards to fighting, if they abhor it or encourage it. <3

arrow Yes. The wilds know how to tap into it; the ferals and domestics, at this point, do not, even the elders.

I'm bi-polar when it comes to where I ask my questions. emotion_awesome

How common should interaction between feral and owned Mokai be? Or is that more up to us?

And would the Huntingdon Settlement (So posh!) be where pet-home RPs take place?
And on that note, can we start RPing a bit? XDD

lol, is fine. xD

Right now, the interaction between feral and owned Mokai should be more minimal, but the potential for interaction does exist. Ferals can slip into the settlement (probably not the compound, since it's walled off), but they risk being caught by the domestic Elders. And vice versa for the domestics. They can technically go outside the settlement/compound, but the Elders are always watching, and if they're not back by nightfall, someone will come out after them.

Depending on how badly the owner wants them back, the Elders will try to hunt down escaped ferals. If the owner doesn't care - or has recently died/etc. - it's less likely the Elders will take the time to go after them. So prized fighters/divers/pets will probably find it much harder to escape into the wilds.

And yup! The homes are in the settlement. xD And yup, that's fine, lol.

Question: In the Mokai information it's mentioned that culls are sometimes used in the fighting ring as bait does that mean the culls will be able to join the fights legal or illegal or tournaments as punching bags/warm ups?

Yup, that's perfectly fine. <3 They're treated a little nicer in the legal fights; they'll be hauled out before any major damage is dealt to them. In the illegal pits, they might not fare so well.

I was looking up the potion list and came up with some random ideas XD

-Lion paws
-Wolf paws
-Bear paws
-Wolf tail
-Bobcat tail
-Otter tail
-Lynx ears
-Ridgeback mane
-Lionfish spines
-Seahorse tail

Also, it would be interesting for a random option: this would entail the colorist having an order for 'extra fur' or 'extra fluff' and deciding the texture or the whereabouts of the extra fluff. This can also be used for if someone wanted a random change of ears (even tails, paws, ect) and having the colorist decide?
