I posted this in the Gaming Forum so, if any of you guys frequent that board, this may be familiar to you. Anyway.
I was playing with the AR card for my 3DS earlier today and was having trouble with lighting. So I scanned my AR card and skewed the image just slightly enough so that when viewed straight on from a computer monitor, it looks as if you're viewing it at an angle. Such as if it were sitting on your desk. It works for me. I prefer playing it this way so I figured I'd share the experience with anyone else who enjoys the augmented reality games.
