* ~:: Snake Charmer ::~ * (Location - Naganaki Shrine District, Greater Iwatodai)
Cold, Rainy Afternoon, June 26th, 2012. Naganaki Shrine District, Greater Iwatodai.
The peaceful morning passes and an ominous cloud falls upon the city of Iwatodai; the demons of the Tachibana-Hakushaku Clan have arrived. Summoned forth from their headquarters in the Northwestern Edge of Kyushu by the office of the Shogun himself, they descend upon the town to uphold their antiquated oath to the leader of the country of Japan and unleash their strength upon his enemies. Fueled by their demonic power and their unwavering loyalty to the Head of their Clan, they come to settle an old score...amongst many others.
But their mission is not just any, and their foes are as dangerous as they are. Demon against demon, man against man, two armies aware of the other move to meet in the least-populated district in the growing city of Iwatodai for a battle that will shake the underground and the foundations upon which each of the two clans stand. Those who are caught in the crossfire will receive no mercy...those who do not fight will almost certainly die.
The snakes have been lured out of their hole...and together, they and the demons shall come and play.
Time stands still! Snakes v. Demons! Will the charmers come to regret agitating their prey?
The Battle Between Taihaku and Orochi Begins Now! Quote: Yelizaveta Ivanova (Orochi Snakes) v. Ikkaku Hokurakushimon (Taihaku Alliance) and Maigo Kokoro (Taihaku Alliance) v. Alexander the Great (Orochi Snakes)

The mission had just began, they were about to go out and destroy the threat known as Orochi. Ikkaku couldn’t wait any longer for this moment to come, as soon as Seo had ordered them to depart and take them out the headstrong clan leader was one of the first to go. Battles and wars was Ikkaku’s way of living, he strives on that, he lives off of it, without it the leader of the Hokurakushimon clan would be nothing, which is why he was feeling amped about going out and destroying this threat. Even though his body was pumping with adrenaline Ikkaku still had his eyes sight on the goal at hand, he wasn’t here to satisfy his own selfish needs, he was here to accomplish a goal. He would not let Seo be disappointed in his actions, he would make him proud, and along with it his clan’s reputation would rise even further in their blood stained glory. Arriving to the shrine Ikkaku already felt his instincts kicking in, it was cold, everything dimmed, and flooded with rain. Despite that his body was getting soaked Ikkaku was quite used to being put in harsh situation, an excellent way to kick off a spar. This was not the reason for him to be so tense though, he had a sense in his gut, he could smell something wrong, the enemy was here. He walked further along the shrine, slowly and carefully, waiting for the enemy to appear and strike.

Yelizaveta Ivanovna Violet eyes narrowed and turned away from the sharp dagger held with long fingers, the enemy finally arriving at the shrine. A silent breath left the Orochi's lips as she stood up slowly, the shadows of the building hiding her figure for the time being. It only took her a moment to study the man walking towards the center of the courtyard; he had a strong built, and the tensed muscles indicated that he was eager for the fight and wouldn't play around. Too bad he would be stopped here... Little drops of water dripped from her hair and dress to the ground, the rain piercing through skin like cold needles. Though, for the snowy haired Russian, the feeling was more than welcoming.
Yelizaveta stepped out of her waiting place finally, ready to stop this supposedly ambush before it could begin. They were underestimating them, and the snakes would sink their fangs into their skin for their grave mistake. Expressionless eyes stared back at Ikkaku from behind a curtain of flattened white hair and for a moment she didn't seem to move a single muscle any further. Though, before he could attack, himself, puddles of water around him rose lazily to the air, turning into sharp icicles and hard blocks of ice, giving the Taihaku demon little time to react to her presence before they exploded against him with a massive force.

The enemy was nowhere to be found as of yet, but that didn’t mean that Ikkaku didn’t stop looking. His guard was up, but he couldn’t quite get much of anything with this rain drenching the whole area. Gotten to the part where most of the place was filling up with fog, if this kept up he would be at a disadvantage in terms of sight. That was when he finally saw his opponent right before his very eyes, a female, in a blue dress, having white long hair. Almost looked like some female out of a fairy tale storybook, but looks could also be an attempt to hide something far more devious than Ikkaku would have even figured; he dropped down a bit, almost squatting, going and all fours. He didn’t know who she was, but something about her was completely off, she was an enemy and that was all he needed to know to attack. As an opening act the woman displayed her abilities, the peddles of water started to rise around him; what skill was this? It made no sense, could she control the water around her? Oh but she could do so much more than that, the water started to freeze into shards of ice, making things even more hazardous for Ikkaku as he stopped for a moment to get a glimpse of her power. The shards exploded, with him in it, icy dust came about in the area where Ikkaku was, but it wasn’t long before he was rushing out of there. He was damaged, true, blood came straight out of his chest, but still he was ready to throw down against this snake. She had laid out the challenge to fight, and Ikkaku had accepted without a second thought. The white hand on his right began to shine out in a blinding light, he came into close quarters with the female, with his own powers Ikkaku blasted out an energy made of pure light towards the girl..

She knew that she had to be there for him, but she had to distract another snake roaming around the place! You have to stick to the plan, you know? The Nekomata continued up the flight of stairs with her breath huffing and puffing, head lowered down while the droplets came down on her from the gray sky. Rain... she never liked rain. Never enjoyed it, but the sound save for the thunder. The demon, to be honest, wasn't liking the whole atmosphere at all as she started to make it to the top towards the shrine. It was like the atmosphere just wanted to emphasize the danger that everyone was getting and to make sure that it was ready for any tragedy. The demon shook her head. No, no, she thought, the worst that's going to happen to day is just a few wounds, everyone is going to be fine. She was sure of herself! A giggle erupted, tinkling with a deranged quality like the stars tinkle with light. It was neither pretty, nor pleasant, a high pitched screech almost, but it was there, and it interrupted the quiet in the nearby vicinity of the shrine stairs. Her form was hidden, masked by a long shadow, which was masked by one even longer, the black helping that too-thin-lipped smirk curl into something terrifyingly real. Upwards her body twisted, like a vine snaking around a tree, each long limb elegant in that preposterous way elegance tended to assume when it was taken to extremes. This form was the enemy, the most dangerous type. The one who was... indifferent. It was always those who were not afraid to do the unthinkable, the morally damning, the horrible. She giggled yet again, the thought of tearing the girl before her limb from limb in a game of tag long since perverted by her very presence amusing her so.
"Hallo, mein schatz schafe." Alex purred in German, the phrase, though possibly unknown to her plaything, spoken in condescending enough tone for her to take a hint at the mocking implications behind it. Stepping out from the cloak of the shadows, she tipped her hat in greeting, holding the other unoccupied arm out in a flourish of grandeur. A laugh. So this was the shrimp she was supposed to be fighting? Well, it certainly wouldn't be a challenge to take her out judging from first impressions, which are, as we all know, everything. She glanced at the whip hanging from her belt, electricity crackling around her body, as wild and unpredictable as its master. Her stance was unwavering, eyes calculating and cruel as she stared down the girl before her. Her sharp teeth bared themselves in a threatening, shark-like grin, as if to say 'Here I am, your turn!'

It was michevious, unstable she could hear it. She could hear that this being hiding in the shadows... was not one who would hold back. Or that was what the demon was fearing. Someone with no morality, nothing that held any sort of hesiation that a human would. And as Mai watched the long, slender woman step out of the shadows, the demon felt a chill going through her shoulders and a step back taken once she felt the vibe of indifference and wrath. The nekomata's brows furrowed when she heard a different language escaping through the mischevious snake's thin lips. The being bowed with a tipped hat laughing while the demon herself was getting more and mory wry over the fact that she was going to deal with this one. And she looked at her, looking with a wild grin on her face that was ready to tear her apart. Her red eyes picked up on the electricity around the whip and frame with its unpredicitable cracking. She could sense it, the whole air about it was driving the demon insane that she could just feel the danger leaking out of the frame. But, just seeing the snake was obvious enough. So much so that even the small bit of concentration to keep her human form perfect broke a bit when those human ears were replaced with a long, thinner feline shape and black fur. Maigo took a step back, but caught herself in the act. How distasteul of her, the nekomata showing up like a coward. This was... With her teeth clenched, and the reminder of Lord Seo's faith and Jin's confidence, the small demon took two steps forward with her staff, ears perked high as she focused. She closed her eyes once, whispering to herself that she musn't run away, then shot her eyes open once again to distort the air around her as a invisible shield surrounded in protection. Alex inhaled deeply, fear exuding off of this girl like a delicate aroma, a french perfume. It was all she could do to keep from running forward and stabbing her right then and there, the crimson fluid sure to flow from the wound lovely in its red pigment and gentle tendrils... Oh, but this would most assuredly be sweeter if she savored it, no? The thought almost made her want to frown, her own impatience getting the best of her. She never was one to save dessert for last, after all, but perhaps this once it could be done... Besides, they were at a children's play-place! Alex would never be able to forgive herself if she didn't, well, play.
"Eine Katze? Wie sehr amüsant." She laughed loudly, clapping her hands and spinning on the heel of her foot with a certain amount of glee. "Katze! Katze, katze, katze!" The foreign language was spoken with such fluidity, such mania, that it could be nothing but her native language, her accent, her voice, making the words sound nothing short of perfection; that is, if perfection was capable of the imperfect action of mocking somebody. She was sure, of course, that it was with her, otherwise, what would she be? The mock-joy of her voice halted for a moment, seeing as how her victim did... something. It distorted the air around her, and smelled like a barrier spell. Hmph. Clever, clever girl. "What's your name, kitty?" Awww, the compassion, the sincerity, the utter deviousness of her deceptively kind tone... Alex giggled another screech of a giggle. Heh. The German in her accent was clear, now, revealing the origins of the previously spoken language to the Katze, if she so chose to care. Taking a menacing few steps forward, Alex used her momentum to then leap, whip cracking out towards the girl in front of her, aiming to slice open her torso, "Just like a Cornish game hen..."

Yelizaveta Ivanovna 'Hmph...' The foggy air surrounded the area for a moment, and silence reigned after the ice clashed against its target, the raindrops dripping loudly against the stone floor of the shrine the only sound left. The Russian narrowed her eyes nonetheless, her stance never faltering... It wasn't as if that simple attack would stop the enemy, and the woman knew it would be foolish to think so. She breathed in the chilly air, just as a figure dashed forward piercing the foggy wall, revealing the demon that had come to ‘stop her’ and the thin crimson lines oozing down his chest, being washed away by the little droplets of rain. He couldn't escape unhurt from the ice, but he seemed to pay as little attention to the wounds as her to the damage done. This was just beginning of the fight to come; a fight she couldn't lose. She wasn't about to bring another disappointment to Cesc...not after he had left her live a while longer.
A white energy was shot her way, and in that short distance, it was almost impossible to dodge. Not that it was her plan. She took in the attack, thin eyebrows knitting together and lips twitching downwards the only signs given of the pain felt. The burn of the Light attack lingered on her skin painfully, but even so, the woman didn't flinch away, using the same small distance between the two for her counterattack. The blinding flash of the attack faded away, just at the same time as her knife slashed horizontally, aiming for his abdomen; a swift step was taken to the side, her other hand following up, a blood red dagger clutched between her fingers. It was brought down with incredible speed with intention of stabbing his left shoulder, flames erupting fiercely as it sliced air (and hopefully flesh).

The snake continued on to mock her in some child-like amusement before she spun once more in some theatrical bout then finally started to giggle after her action of the barrier. Maigo's feline ears perked at the question that was given to her. She readied herself in an instant when she heard the screeching giggle echo and irritate her ears. She's coming, she leaped towards her! Maigo's eyes widened suddenly and tried to leap back from the crack of her whip a little too late. The feline's concentration dwindled once again, hissing out loudly with claws holding at her chest as the raw sting went over her skin. her ears folded back and tails were frizzed and stiff from the pain that came through. Red, slitted eyes didn't have to look down to see it, her nostrils were already being smothered with the smell of copper to know that blood is already leaking from her. She wasn't expecting this! Maigo clenched down her fangs and lowered down her head when she took a few more step backs as a cry left her lips, eyes watering over something she's never felt before.
"It hurts!" she whimpered. "Why does it hurt like this?!" The barrier of magic fell, the demon knew this, Maigo lifting up her staff slightly just for the sake of bringing about another barrier around her so that she would never feel this sort of pain again against this predator. shallow breaths escaped, but Maigo was trying to force herself to settle down and look up at Alex after the damage was done. This wasn’t the first time that Ikkaku had been terribly injured; in fact this was only the fifty eigth time he had been crucially injured. That would not stop him though, no matter how badly this woman would put him through Ikkaku would not stop until the she was dead; He wouldn’t allow himself to die like a shameless twit. His first attack was weak, he knew it as such, but if that was enough to actually put her down then he would have been ashamed to have wasting his skills on her. Thankfully the woman proved herself to withstand the attack and charged in to keep this fight at a close range, something that other fighters would usually have a problem with. Ikkaku welcomed it, it was an area where both he and the fighter can exchange blows, testing each other skills, and only the strong would be standing in the outcome of the battle. More of his blood gushed out of his torso from the slash of her knife, Ikkaku wasn’t much for dodging, but even he knew that he couldn’t keep getting himself injured, it would be making it seem that he can’t hold up a decent battle. She dashed off to the side, bringing more of that killing intent as she attempted to stab him with an oddly shaped red dagger. He would not allow such an injury to come at him, his claw reached out, quick as a striking viper; he caught the girl by the wrist before the attack could be made. He gave it a quick twist as he pulled the hand out of harm’s way, with a tug Ikkaku pulled Liz close into him where her forehead would be greeted with his in the form of a skull bashing headbutt..

Something which borderlined disgust crept onto Alex's pale face, a twisted snarl and sharpened pupil. "You do have a name, right," she iterated, impatience seeping into her already too-fast voice, hand on her hip. It was as if they were not in a dangerous battle of the arcane sort, but rather, children arguing over who got the last cookie. Speaking of which, the woman made a mental note to harass Ray for the last time that issue came up. When your tummy's got the rumblies, sometimes only the sweet escape of chocolate chip can satisfy, dammit! Awakening from this molten chocolate coated distraction with a shake of her head, Alex cocked her head, peering down at the convulsing girl and her whimpers. Surely it hadn't hurt that much, honestly. If this was the rate the fight was going to go, it did not bode well on the fun-potential meter. She'd have to drag it out to keep things exciting. What good was casting your attentions on killing a fly when you got it down on the first hit? With a loud sigh, she waited for the girl to pull herself to her feet before running to the playground. "Play with me, mein Katze!" It was more of an order than anything, Alex genuinely wanting the girl to "play with her" but hardly expecting the pitiful creature to do it. Expertly she climbed the monkey bars, expressing no effort at the task of getting to the top and balancing there. With a grin, she grabbed the metal of the playset and channeled her element of electricity, watching as it whipped in that beautifully unpredictable manner towards Maigo, almost so mesmerized by it that she forgot that she was attacking at all. A dreamy sigh left her lips. It was as if it were a painting commissioned specifically out of her brain, so pretty. With a laughing 'whoop!' she fell back, hooking her legs onto the bar so that she hung upside-down on the rungs, face grinning at Maigo like some sort of twisted man-child, the monster's hands clapping with glee. Alex was too caught up in the moment to notice a faint stinging sensation in her side... Whoops.

Yelizaveta Ivanovna She wasn't expecting him to take that first slash...it had been there, completely visible for anyone to see. And when blood gushed out of his abdomen, the white haired woman couldn't help the cringe of her nose in disgust...He wasn't as fast as she had imagined then. Only that, perhaps speed wasn't what this man was looking for, her main attack, the one that would cause more damage, blocked in that instant, despite the flames that engulfed them both in that moment. Teeth clenched, cursing in her mother tongue as his hand took hold of her wrist, stopping the blade from completeing its task, as the immense force of the impact rumbled all inside of her. The woman suppressed a gasp, her eyes blurring for a second. But it wouldn't be enough to stop her.
Liz growled, blood trickling down her forehead, violet eyes deadly set on the man. A boot dug on his stomach with force as she pushed herself away from Ikkaku, placing some distance between the two. She stepped back, an arm brushing away the blood from her face with a silent rage. Oh he wouldn't pass...He wouldn't reach the Trench. She wouldn't let him! "Niflheim!" The ofertory box and small trees were engulfed in a thin coat of ice as she dashed forward, leaving them behind, the body of frozen water shooting forward towards the man with an intensity that wasn't there before. The attack connected with Ikkaku’s hardheaded skull against Liz’s, was enough to draw out blood from her forehead as shown on her face. Quickly though she was released from Ikkaku’s grip and moved away, trying to create some distance for another attack as it would appear. Ikkaku didn’t mind, in fact he was welcoming her to attack him at any time, it wouldn’t matter to the clan leader; the only thing that mattered was that he would come out on top. His left claw twitched about, he was feeling anxious, the adrenaline was pumping throughout his veins. He had a mission to complete and it was being delayed, the time to play around was now over. He would not let this woman stop him from completing the task that Lord Seo had given him. He had been playing on the defensive end for far too long, it was time to take it up a level. The woman seem to be more than willing to agree in an nonverbal sense as she unleashed a frightening ice based attack onto Ikkaku. He did not flinch at the oncoming attack, he did not run from it, that was not the way of his clan. Ikkaku as going to take it on with his own power, his dark hand began to glow a dark aura; he was charging for an attack. “Chaos Element.” he muttered. Stretching his hand forward Ikkaku blasted out a jet black beam towards the ice attack, the range was vast and the power behind it even greater. Ikkaku was not going to waste any more time now, he needed to kill this woman and move on. The ice attack collided with Ikkaku’s causing one massive explosion. Ikkaku though taking damage from the blast kept still, enduring all that he can, he kept his head up and faced forward waiting to see if the woman was still alive. If so he would attack without thought..

Still, the Russian frowned, knowing the danger in her foe. He didn't even move away from the attack, and still, there was an impassive expression on his features, and his eyes shown the foolish determination that burned inside of him. Hmph... Did he plan on take such force without even guarding himself. No...he-! Eyes widen slightly as the clawed arm was surrounded by a dark aura...an aura that made her tense up even more. But, she wasn't going to just stay and observe. Darkness...she wasn't going to let it touch her. Spells clashed against each other, and the woman was already jumping backwards and over the frozen ofertory box, trying to keep herself as far as she could from the explosion. The force of it had been enormous, dark swirls and ice shards rainin down on a blackened ground the only evidence left.
In a heap, she was already dashing towards him with great speed, the red blade glistening dangerously with the dim light given. She couldn't let him attack like that again...so short range would have to do. It would be a great mistake to fall down to her weakness...
