This...was embarrassing
All Astra was hoping to do was to play a few arcade games. She had plenty of pumpkin seeds, so that wasn't a problem. She had plenty of time too, so that was all good
Now the only problem was, she was having trouble reaching the controls.
Usually she could just hover above the ground and play the games that way, but today she just wasn't able to do so. Her wings just weren't working. Not to mention that it was ten times harder to keep out of everyones way. Already she had a few bruises from being pushed around by the bigger monsters who just shoved her aside when they wanted a go.
With a sigh, she stretched up as high as she could in order to see the screen properly, and tried to concentrate on fighting off the humans that kept attacking her dragon character
At least she didn't have to put up with the real thing.

It had been awhile since Jericho last gone to the scarecade. Others were busy at the moment, but he didn't mind going on his own now and then. Sometimes he could find a bit of competition from the people already there and whatnot. Upon entering, he looked around to try and figure out which game to start off playing.
There was one game that looked unoccupied. There were things going on, but it could very well be the demo playing. So, the dragon made his way over to see if he could snag it before another patron could.
Though, when he arrived, that was when he noticed Astra.. attempting to play the game from below.
"... Having issues?" he asked with a raised brow. She could fly.. why didn't she just hover?

Hearing someone approach, Astra began to feel nervous, half expecting whoever was behind her to either shove her aside or pick her up, but instead all she heard was a familiar voice. Oh jack, was it really..
She glanced over her should. Yup, it was Jericho. She quickly turned back to hide her fear when he asked if she was having issues. She really, really, really did not want him to find out what was actually wrong with her. There were few people she may have felt comfortable enough around to tell them, but him? No way in hell. The jacked she had on would see to her secret being kept...as long as it stayed on.
"Umm...no I'm...just..trying to get through this level" She said, then frowned when her character began to get pelted again. "Ah, what was that fire combo again" she mumbled under her breath, reaching across the control to press the farther buttons so she could try and get the right combo again.

Jericho stared at Astra for the moment or so, watching her struggle to play the game. It was really kind of pitiful really.
"Down, forward, punch," he sighed, "What are your wings tired or something? You look like you need a booster for jack's sake."
He was sure there were a few footstools around so shorter people could reach the controls. The klefairy was probably just being a little dumb here or something.

That was it! Astra quickly punched in the controls, and was satisfied to see half the bad guys whipped out on the screen. "Haha! Take that peasants!" She said to the screen before she realized Jericho was still bugging her. "Uh, yeah, they're just tired. I was flying around all day. And...I had a stool, but the bigger monsters just kept laughing at me or taking it away when I was busy playing so I...stopped using it."
As she was explaining this to him, she was finding it harder and harder to keep fighting off the amassing bad guys, and before she realized it her character was Killed off. She glared at the huge 'GAME OVER' words displayed on the screen before registering defeat with a sigh.
"..Do you want a go?" She asked the dragon, then stepped back so he could play.

"So what if people laugh?" Jericho said while shaking his head. It was kind of a stupid idea to him, especially since she looked more ridiculous struggling to see the screen while she played.
"Nah. I'll play something else," he shrugged while looking around. He didn't really feel like playing this particular game at the moment. The dragon was kind of in the mood to shoot things currently. Ah! There. He spotted an open House of the Joyful Fairies machine not too far off.
"Have fun struggling," he said while making his way to the other machine.

Astra felt herself tense at his initial words, feeling rather annoyed that he could so easily brush it off. Of course he could! He wasn't there when those ghosts and skeletons kept snickering and laughing at her so much she couldn't concentrate on her game. It was embarrassing!
She felt a little better when he began to walk off, but then her rage was back with his last comments. That big stupid jerk! She poked her tongue childishly at his retreating form, then noticed that he was going to the 'Joyful fairies' game.
....She hadn't played that one before. But more then that...why was He going to play it?
....She had a sneaking suspicion the game involved fairies. And hurting them.
Abandoning the machine, she went to follow the dragon and see if her hunch was correct/

For the most part, Jericho had forgotten about Astra. He continued on towards the arcade machine and tossed in his seed before grabbing the gun. After getting the game going, he waited for the intro sequence to go by before he got into the action. Every now and then, small, pixies would pop onto the screen trying to give the player hugs and kisses and rainbows. It was a little revolting actually.
Narrowing his eyes, he blasted away at the pixies, doing what he could to fend them off to keep them from getting their JOY all over him and whatnot. It was easier at first, but other hazards were slowly springing up over time.

She knew it!
Astra hid behind one of the other games, feeling shocked at first then angry that he was opting to play something that involved shooting faeries. The game itself was rather insulting as well. She did not go around giving hugs and kisses and rainbows!
It was then she noticed that one of the other consoles nearby was free of anyone playing it. Silently fuming ot herself, she pondered on weather she...really wanted to play it. She would be shooting pixies. But the chance to show jericho up by beating his score was a tempting idea.
But first, she needed to find herself a stool. Because she was going to be at her best. And she privately hoped that no one would try to knock it over this time. It didn't take long, and she pushed it towards the empty game set, hoped on it and put in her pumpkin seed.
I'll show him! she said to herself as the intro finished and she began to shoot at the pixies on the screen, trying to remember that this was a game and she...wasn't betraying her own kind.

Soon, out of the corner of his eyes, Jericho noticed the little klefairy taking aim at the machine next to his. He didn't pay her too much attention, seeing how he needed to focus on his own game, though. The dragon continued to fire away at the pixies that were flying at him, reloading whenever he needed to. The game was starting to get a bit tougher, now that he had been playing for a little while.
Eventually, he came up to a game over screen, giving him a final score of 719.

The game mechanics weren't too hard to figure out, but the slowly increasing amount of pixies that continued to fill up the screen was what had Astra becoming flustered. Though as the difficulty increased, she fel her movements becoming evermore restricted by her jacked, so without thinking she shrugged it off, letting it fall to the ground and exposing her wings, by now a dull brown color and looking very brittle.
After a little while, she became used to the controls, and found it...disturbing easy to shoot away the pixies off the screen. Such that when The game over screen was flashed on the screen, she found she had a high score of 1118, one that was much higher then his
"...." For a moment she didn't say anything, but then a big grin spread across her face. She had beaten Jericho.
"I did it I did it!" She began to jump up and down excitedly like a small child. "See? See I beat your score I beat your score!" Although it was only game and not like a full on battle, to her it mattered that she could do Something better then the dragon could.
..okay, so it wasn't like she had fought him, but to her it mattered.

Well that score was a little disappointing. It certainly wasn't his best run. Though, just as he was about to put down the gun, he found Astra suddenly gloating at him about beating his score.
...
When the Jack was this a competition?
Feeling a spurt of anger, he growled at the klefairy, snarling while he was at it. Yes, she had gotten a higher score, but he certainly did not enjoy having her rub that in his face.
"Stuff it! Who the hell said we were competing anyway?" he snapped.

And again, Astra had forgotten one of the most important rules she had made when dealing with Jericho.
Don't piss him off
...Although, the fairy was finding this was just to easy to do.
She was quick to stop her dancing when the dragon boil began growling at her, and even faster to find sanctuary behind the game console.
"w-w-w-we wer-r-r-en't c-c-c-om--p-p-peting" She barely managed to get out as she peaked out from behind the console, shaking in pure terror. "I w-was just happy I got a better score then you!". Why did he always have to get angry at her anyway? It wasn't like she had just tried to steal something off of him again.

Watching as Astra quickly retreated, the dragon let out a huff. Always quick to hide, she was.
"There's a difference between being happy, and JACKING GLOATING ABOUT SOMETHING IN SOMEONES FACE," he snapped, "I was just minding my own business when you just started going all I BEAT YOUR SCORE I BEAT YOUR SCORE HAHAHAHA!"
Flaring his wings out a little angrily, Jericho growled again before turning away to go elsewhere. He didn't need to deal with the stupid fairy. Things had been going poorly enough for him as of late that he didn't need an idiotic klefairy one-upping him.

"I wasn't gloating!" Astra said in her defense. If she was gloating, she would have been rubbing it in his face a lot more then she was. But she doubted it would make much of a difference, and already he was walking off in a huff. Not before growling at her again which made her retreat behind the machine again.
Watching him go, she was left to wonder what she should do now. He seemed pretty ticked off, and to leave him like this might make him feel more resentful to her then usual.
With a sigh, she crept after the dragon boil to see if he was going to play another game, fishing around in her pocket for some of the pumpkin seeds she had. She already had too much on her mind, and she didn't want have to worry about jericho burning her in her sleep just cause she bragged about beating his score, so she may as well apoligise to him now then later.
