Eliza has to say that Leo was becoming her favorite place to be. It was so grand and she had found quite a lot to do, mostly cleaning and moving things. She had found a few stashes of clothing and had changed into a gown from one of the dilapidated wardrobes and even brushed her hair, not that it mattered anymore. Her hair had gone back to its wild state, blonde hair sticking off all over, straight, waxy, and curly tendrils fighting for space.
Eliza grinned standing in the middle of what looked like a grand ballroom. It was the least destroyed of the rooms she seen yet. Dusty with tattered curtains and dusty floor, but Eliza could see it in all its glory in her minds eyes. She easily slipped into a world of make believe as she had been doing for much of the time she spent her.
She lifted the hem of her gown, of white and gold and held out her hand, "Why of course, but I have been waiting for you to ask me to dance." She giggled shaking her head and started to dance about the room with her invisible partner, skipping, twirling and grinning the whole time.

"Fair warning. If I see a talking candlestick with a french accent, I'm gonna kick it's a**."
He'd been spending some time the other day cleaning up some of the ballroom areas, and was pleased with the relative progress that they had made, still, after the problems that had been turning up with some of the civilians being attacked by further space-youma, and lapsing into coma's, he wasn't planning on taking a chance with even the most Disney-esque abnormality.
He'd done some wanderings of the Leo outpost himself, marveling at how little scorched Regulus resembled it, and also wondering if they'd been slightly more alike, at any level, before abandonment had allowed the sands to invade the mosaiaced streets of his homeworld. Still, it was nice to see someone enjoying themselves, though he was wondering how many more rounds those stupid brownies or something like them had made.

Eliza stopped turning at the voice and smiling, "You mean like beauty in the beast right? Though I doubt after seeing a space whale and space bats it would be anything like that. That being said I am totally for helping."
She danced over to the ... well he couldn't be anything other than a senshi right ... and curtsied. "Hello Mr Senshi Sir. Don't mind little me, I was just dancing at the grand ball. I was asked you see by such a lovely gentleman."
Eliza gave a small laugh, "I'm Eliza Satchlyn. Explorer extraordinaire nice to meet you," she said sticking out her hand. She probably seemed a bit off her rocker and making it seem more likely that she had a pot brownie, but she hadn't.
"Care to join the ball," she said with a smile before turning and motioning to the wall. "There are lots of lovely ladies for you to dance with." She motioned to another wall, "gentleman too," she laughed.
She hoped he would play along. Fritz seemed not to mind her games, nor Green or Hugbell.

"Maybe, but I've seen some pretty weird stuff in this uh... line of work." Hell, hadn't Europa battled playground equipment? Most of the stuff he'd fought hadn't started out something else, but it hadn't stopped it from being weird out the wazoo...
...Of course for someone he assumed was in high school at least, this behavior was in and of itself, pretty 'weird out the wazoo'. Most girls tended to put aside make believe balls and dance partners when they got into grade school. There was always the exception or two... several of whom he was reasonably sure were doing it because they liked the uncertain reactions people gave the 'eccentric'. Which he'd also determined was another way of saying "Yeah we think they're crazy but they haven't been diagnosed with anything."
"I'll uh, sit this dance out. Consider me one of the... I dunno... guards I guess. On duty and all that. And It's Regulus."
He decided to skip giving her his 'sphere'. He wasn't sure if that was standard introduction policy for Senshi anyway, and after the Beauty and the Beast reference, introducing himself as the Senshi of Pride seemed like it was begging for a Gaston reference.
God he couldn't even remember when he'd seen that crappy movie.

Eliza nodded, but frowned when he decided he didn't want to dance. It seemed he wasn't up for a game a make believe, which surprisingly especially for Eliza it seemed most were or at least those she encountered thus far.
She sat on the floor looking up at Regulus before lying back and looking up at the ceiling. "Don't like make-believe huh Regulus? Though I guess that makes sense when you do this sort of thing a lot."
She stretched out and probably looked much the nutter lying on the floor, but Eliza could care less. "It the most amazing thing that has ever and probably will ever happen to me despite the whale and the bats. I mean looks at these clothes, right out a wardrobe upstairs. I feel like a princess." She laughed and sat up once more.
She looked at him curiously, "I've been hearing things like this happen in Destiny City a lot. I've lived most of my life on a farm on the outskirts until high school so I wouldn't know, but I guessing its true. Things like this happen a lot?"

"What, people getting randomly sucked into space? Not so much. As far as I know you guys are the first time this has ever happened. Now civilians getting attacked? That happens way more than we'd like. We try and do what we can to keep it from happening, but there's only so much we can actually do. Unfortunately we haven't yet run into a senshi who's power lets them be everywhere at once."
He joked, somewhat limply, giving her a half smile, though it was clear that the failures bothered him.
"Fewer people are dying anyway, I guess that means we're doing something."
Other things bothered him though, like the hints he'd gotten from Maia, and Wolframite, and he wasn't sure he'd ever be quite so sure again that they were wearing the whitest of white-hats.

Eliza nodded, but frowned. It wasn't really a confirmation she would have liked. She of course, much like anyone, did not fancy the idea of a innocent person being attacked. Just the short battle they had while here was bad enough. So many got hurt, and while being in Virgo's outpost healed you fast, everyone would have rather not gotten injured at all.
"Fewer people are dying," she repeated questioningly. She did not really now much about it. She in her mother lived in their own world until she was 14 and her mother suddenly realized maybe it wasn't so healthy for Eliza. By sending her daughter into Destiny City though, had she unknowingly sent the girl to war.
She had to say, if it meant she could not die she would prefer running through the woods behind farm pretending to be a knight fighting dragons to save the prince and the one on one schooling she received from her mother. It was good enough to get her into crystal on scholarship.
"So Regulus, um I've never seen a senshi until this happened, though I never leave crystal so I guess that makes sense. But where did you come from and how did you get magic. Its so exciting." It was obvious she was fascinated by the tone of her voice which vibrated with excitement.

"This is where I have to admit you're kind of asking Batman his Secret Identity." He joked again, laughing nervously, fishing for a good way to explain this.
"But I'll explain as much as I can." He added, seriously. People, he guessed, deserved to have some idea about the Senshi, even if it was a vague one.
"I wasn't born in space like Superman, though. I can tell you that much. I'm reasonably sure none of us have that kind of crazy-Krypton like origin. Every Senshi I know was born right here on earth, though I guess we're all..." He took a deep breath and sighed, since the concept he was about to explain was, at best, a bit loaded. "...Reincarnations I guess, of Senshi that came before us that actually were from the places we're named for. And then we get awakened at some, random point by some of the Senshi-alies on earth. That I probably can't tell you, they've got enough to worry about. Basically "Hi, you're actually a magical space person, welcome to the war, try not to get killed."
It was a decidedly vague explanation but he wasn't sure how to do it better, not without revealing way too much information. As much fun as it might have been to unleash some return frustration on 'Assy', even the obnoxious cat didn't deserve that. Mostly. Kind of. ....ok Maybe she kind of deserved it but not to the extent where he'd actually do it.

"Does that mean ..." she started but quieted when it was clear he would indeed explain thing to her. She listened intently and nodded at him, but frowned her face up even more at his last statement.
"You do not care to be a senshi," she asked looking him over, "you sound like you are annoyed or maybe resentful to the one who brought you into this. I mean to say that is it was an awful way find out about magic and stuff, but still does it not make you feel special like you have a greater purpose."
Eliza looked up to the ceiling and sighed, "I'd be annoyed, but at the same time. Wow to be chosen to um protect the innocent and what not. To have magic. I guess I can't see the bad in that, but then again I haven't been though anything to awful. Even this experience has been wonderful. I mean we get to go to space, just like that and live in these beautiful places and try to help restore them. Even just this much makes me feel so special, so lucky."

"Yeah and in the mean time, your parents and relatives are probably freaking the hell out, and it's not like we can go and say "Oh so and so's ok, they got mysteriously teleported to space, and we're trying to fix it." I mean how would that sound? WE're already labeled as freaking terrorists." Regulus grumbled. Sure there were beautiful things in the ruins, but still... and with the attacks even telling someone that their family members were safe could suddenly turn out to be a lie.
"It's definitely not all roses and sunshine. And yeah I do kinda resent it sometimes, the one who introduced me pretty much handed me the equivalent of a goddamn machine gun without an operating manual and told me 'not to be a fail whale'. I think I've got some right to be a little pissy with them over that. I mean regular soldiers at least get basic training."
He'd gotten an introduction that involved carving up a random stranger with knives made of fire.
"Anyway magic or no magic, it's still war. We've lost other Senshi as well as civilians. I can't imagine their families, who don't even know what the hell happened, they just... get the phone call."
It was hard to see the magic in having magic sometimes, knowing that sort of thing. She kind of reminded him a little of Maia, who'd gone to the Blood Moon looking to get stronger and come away shaken and terrified. Would she loose her rose colored spectacles the same way? He was half surprised she hadn't already.
"I'll relax and enjoy the scenery more when I'm sure that everyone here is really safe."

"I only have my mother," she admitted, "I'm not sure I have any other relatives. I've never met them. And if you told my mother that I was fine and in space dressed as you are, she would probably believe you. She is not exactly conventional. I'm pretty sure she doesn't know anything about an terrorists either, she rarely leaves our land and she doesn't watch the news." Eliza shrugged, she wasn't conventional either. She did not want her mom to worry for her, she knew by now of course she would be, but she would be okay right. They were working on a way to send everyone home.
She sighed, "I understand that really, its all in how you see it. I was raised to be an optimist. My mom says where there's a will there a way and you may not think it, but you aren't often handed more than you can handle. She says Eliza, you can do anything and be anything, though I certain she did not mean this, but still."
She stood and walked over to Regulus putting a hand on his shoulder, "I will probably never understand what you go through or how you feel and I can't imagine the tragedies those families go through. I most certainly wouldn't wish this on my mom and I'm worried for her, but it has happened and what can I do. You have to take a moment to relax or you might loose yourself in this war. Even soldier in the army take a moment."
She started to hum the tune to Ave Marie and stepped away before dancing around in a circle. "A moment won't hurt," she said pausing in her humming and extending her hand out to Regulus, still swaying slightly humming once more.

This was, plain and simple, really silly... and he sort of doubted that her mother would be 'fine' with knowing that her daughter had suddenly become an Astronaut without any training.
"Yeah most of my non fighting moments are taken up by the inconvenience of not actually being Bruce Wayne." He joked. There had been tentative gestures made from both sides of his currently estranged family, but things were still...
Tender. Tender was a good word for it.
He eyed her hand as though it might abruptly turn into some kind of youma or snake and bite him, then reluctantly sighed and moved to take her hand. If there was one thing he could do at the moment it was oblige a extreme-optimist by dancing.
Had he ever been an optimist? At this point it was hard to remember almost. He'd been cocky, that was for sure, so much used to come so easily, but was that really the same thing as this almost blind certainty that things would work out?

Eliza did not really understand Regulus joke, so she gave a small laugh, but otherwise did not comment on the statement. Instead when he obliged her to dance she quickly took the lead. If Eliza knew the male was suppose to lead it was hardly evident.
She danced about the room wanting to twirl and spin, attempting it every so often, grinning, crystal blue eyes dancing happily. She was making the most out of an awful situation and she wanted to try to help everyone else do so as well.
"See this is fun right," she laughed happily, "dancing in a ballroom in Leo's castle. Did you ever imagine you would do such a thing? Maybe twenty or so years from know you'll look back and go I'm glad I took that moment."
She stopped releasing him and danced away, "I'm going to go find Fritz now. I don't know if he's seen this place, but I bet he might like to draw it. Or I can even dance for him and he can draw that."
She ran out of the room calling over her shoulder, "See you around Regulus, don't forget to take a moment."
