ChoukoXRix - Family RP (Adults)

LOG 1 - IM

Chouko giggled as she hauled a pack of her newest "treasures" to her hiding. So many shiny objects to sort, so much fun! Her orange and blue fur stood out against the tree that her stash was hidden by.

Rix grinned as he stalked his little sister. She was just so vunerable! He crouched lower, his belly pressed against the ground as he waited for his chance. When she passed the tall grass that served as his hiding spot he pounced, springing forward to playfully crash into her side.

She yelped as she hit the ground and immediately twisted to fight back. Rix always did this to her and it was always fun. "My shiny!" she laughed as she got up and pounced at him. She loved her brother, possibly more than the rest of her sisters.

Rix howled in challange and bit into her ear, not hard enough to pierce skin, but with enough force to make himself known. "NU UH! It's mine now! You've been attacked by the Fearsome Rix the Pirate!"

"Eek! No is mine!" she yelled pulling back to pounce on his back and knock him down. "Feel the wraith of Theif Queen Cho!"

"How come you get to be a queen? FINE! Then I'm Pirate King Rix de Corazon!" He let her knock him off balance so that he could n** at her soft underbelly, making sure to keep his throat out of her reach.

"No fair you already picked your name!" She began giggling almost hysterically when he nipped her belly. "That tickles!"

"I can change my name if I want!" He snickered and nipped at her again. He loved playing with Chouko, more than anyone else in his family. She was the only one who had his sense of humor and enthusiasm for....well...everything!

"Gah!" she rolled to her feet and launched herself at him. She would win this round! Heck she doubted if she would ever tire of this game, even if she got a mate. Sadly she already knew that Rix would come before most anyone.

Avalon and Monster Thread RP

Avalon: *lays against a tree reading a book*

Weapon: *limping along outside, just enjoying a walk and some distance from the crowded shop*

Avalon: *looks up and sighs putting the book down and trotting over* Are you all right?

Weapon: *stops suddenly at the sound of Avalon's voice, not at all aware of his presence, and stares at him with a slightly confused expression though his mask hides it* Um...Yes? *doesn't quite understand why he would ask that*

Avalon: Then why are you limping? *looks at Weapon up and down to see if he can spot any wounds*

Chouko and Tesni

Log 1 - Thread

Tesni: *bouncing to a song her headphones are blasting*

Chouko: *walks over curiously* what are you listening to?

Tesni: *stops in her movements, staring to read Chouko's lips* Hmm~ *brightens & straightens* Oh! Nicki's song Super Bass. *smiles*

Chouko: *smiles* My name is Chouko, what is yours?

Tesni: *stares again, sticking her tongue out in concentration* Umm.... *takes out her head phones* My name's Tesni. It's awesome to meet you. Do you like music?

Chouko: Nice to meet you Tesni. Sure I like music. You can call me Cho, by the way.

Tesni: Alright, Cho. *smiles* What kind do you listen to? Of music, that is.

Cho: I like all kinds of music. What about you?

Tesni: Anything I can dance to. Or what the club is playing... *taps her chin* Though I'm never sure what it is because all I feel is the beat. *laughs*

Cho: *laughs* Makes sense to me.

Koiasi's Lydia Greenstone and Rowan Durran

Log 1 - IM Complete

Lydia combed through the displays of rocks, making sure each one of them was perfectly set out so that the customers could easily touch each one to see what spoke to them. She hummed to herself before turning on her heels to unlock the door. She had a feeling that today would be a good day. She wasn't sure why, but maybe karma was on her side. "All set." She turned the lock and shifted the sign to say that the business was open.

Rowan walked through town with Isha, her cat, following alongside her. She needed supplies and a journal. She needed to practice more if she was going to learn how to really control her gift and make it stronger. She didn't want to make her siblings have to worry after all, especally Hunter. Rowan stopped outside of a shop and grinned looking down at Isha. "See I told you we'd find it eventually." She opened the door and looked around slowly stepping in. "Hello?" Isha took it on herself to saunter in and stretch herself out on the counter. "Isha that is rude, get down!" The cat merely yawned and shut it's eyes.

Hearing the little ding of the bell, Lydia smiled and came from the little storage room in the back. "Hello!" She said brightly, "Welcome to my shop." Her smile was fond as if she was use to dealing with people constantly and it was a favored past time. "Can I help you with something?" Seeing the cat, she chuckled softly. "Does she mind being petted?"

Rowan looked over at the owner and smiled, "Hi, there. I am needing some supplies and a journal I guess." A light pink hue graced her cheeks, she felt a bit embarrassed since she was still a novice. She scratched the back of her head and laughed lightly as looked at Isha. "Oh I'm sure she won't mind, she'd prefer to just be fed fish and sleep all day."

"What's her name?" She scratched her behind the ears before tilting her head up. "Well, I have a selection of journals and parchment over there, behind the incense. As far as supplies, I'm sure you could make use of anything in here. Is there something specific you need?"

Isha purred and leaned into Lydia's hand more than happy for the attention. "Her name is Isha and I'm Rowan; she's been with me my whole life." Rowan chewed on her lip when Lydia asked of she needed help before she sighed, "Umm... is there a book you could recommend, to be honest I barely know what I'm doing."

Lydia smiled fondly at the cat, moving to rub her belly, "Its a pleasure to meet both of you! I'm Lydia." Smiling, she nodded. She walked from the counter toward a row of books. "What are you interested in exactly? Wicca, Witchcraft, Gods, Palmreading, Stones..?" She skimmed the rack before pulling up a semi-thick paper back book. "This is a good beginner's book for most. Its a guide for solitary witches."

Rowan smiled as she accepted the book, "Thank you Lydia." She looked around the shop as she thought about the female's question. "Well, I think I want to learn a bit of everything. I want to keep my family safe and take care of myself so my brother doesn't have to worry so much about me." She slowly began to brush her fingers over the display of rocks with a small smile. "What area do you work in? If you don't mind me asking."

"Ah... in that case.." She walked toward a little glass display case and pulled out a silver chain that held a single unadorned pentagram. "This might help. The points on a pentagram stand for the four elements, wind, water, fire and earth, and the last is for spirit or soul. Pentagrams are used in a lot of spells to help keep out demons and to help protect the wearer from harm." She handed it toward her, stopping in front of the case, her dress swinging as she did. "I use a lot of stones and herbs. I'd be known as a Green Witch in most circles. Green witches are usually the ones who work with plants and good energies."

Rowan looked at the pedant and smiled as she accpeted it. "Thank you, you have been such a big help to me already." She slowly nodded in understanding at the explaination before she blushed and scratched her head. "I probably seem like a little kid to you huh? How much do I owe you for these?" She looked down and watched as Isha wound her way through Lydia's legs. "She likes you."

Lydia tilted her head slightly but shook it, her hands, palm out, in the air. "No, not at all! I get questions like this all the time. A lot of the time its even from older people who are trying to get back in contact with their more spiritual side. There is nothing wrong with questions. This place is about finding what speaks to you. I have no problem helping if I can." Looking over the book and necklace, she smiled softly. "I'll tell you what, I'll only charge you for the necklace. I just hope the book works for you, and if it doesn't feel free to bring it back and try something different." She rang up the necklace and put it in a small stitching of cloth so it wouldn't get scratched. She quickly removed the price tag that said it was 40 dollars and hid it before the girl could see. "Lets see.. that'll be 20 dollars."

Rowan blinked and grinned, "Thank you so much really Lydia, but how about as payment for the book I come and help out here? I mean it would make it a bit easier if I have anymore questions." She dug in her pocket to pay for the pendant.

Lydia nodded toward her, smiling brightly. "I would love that!" She clapped her hands together merrily. "I haven't had any help here for a little while now, and I think it would help some of the boredom on the very slow days. If you like, I could continue to help you learn in exchange."

Rowan smiled happily, "That would be wonderful. It'll be nice to have a friend. This will also be my first job, but I'm a quick learner." She smiled and hugged Lydia before pausing and backing up, "I'm sorry... I'm just really happy."

Lydia giggled happily as she returned the hug. "No worries! I'll be happy to teach you whatever I can. It'll also be nice to have more life around here." She smiled as she pulled back, shifting some of her hair from her eyes. The action made her seem a lot younger than she was for a moment. "But, in that case, consider the pendant a gift as well."

Rowan stared at her, "R-Really? That is really generous of you Lydia." She smiled and looked around the shop. "So I should probably get familiar with everything in the shop huh?"

With appearance by DarkHikari's Hunter

Lydia: -Wonders if she could change Hunter's mind about witches.-

Rowan: Well you are helping me with my magic I don't think he'll hate you Lydia ^^

Hunter : *Stares suspiciously at Lydia*

Lydia: -Smiles at Rowan.- I hope not.. I really wouldn't want your family to hate me.. -Looks at Hunter and gives a light smile.- I'm really not all that bad.. I promise.

Hunter :: *Continues to stare in Lydia's direction suspiciously.* That's yet to be seen.

Rowan: He's just very protective that's all, Lydia he'll warm up eventually.

Lydia: Hrm.. well.. I suppose that's true. But you haven't really met me to know rather I'm a threat either.. Not all witches are bad, not all are good either. It's the same with every person.. -Takes a deep breath.- Not that I think it'll make you trust me any more.. But most of my magic lies in nature and healing magics.. I wouldn't dare hurt anyone..

Hunter :: *Snorts dismissively* If you say so. I trust my sister's judgement of people, which is why I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. But it doesn't mean I'll trust you. Every step you take with Rowan will be suspected and scrutinized until you prove that your not just another silver-tongued fake. *Turns to Rowan* Just be careful.

Lydia: -Tilts her head and frowns, shaking her head a little. Truth was, Lydia didn't have a single mean bone in her body.. Which was part of the biggest reason she had taken up magic when she was much younger, to help protect herself and the people around her. Glancing at him again, she just gave a smile.- Okay then. I won't try to convince you otherwise if that is what you believe. -After that, she turned to Rowan and just smiled at her.-

Rowan: -sighs and frowns at Hunter- I know you are worried big brother but I am being careful. -smiles at Lydia- He's not always like that. He can be a real sweetheart.

Lydia: -Nods softly, trying to keep her composure and not show any hint of emotion.- It's fine. He apparently really doesn't like witches... I really don't want to start a fight with any of your family members, Rowan. I value our friendship.. and if that means keeping my distance from your brother.. than I will.

Rowan: It's because of what happened to us as kits, it's not directly at you. He's just very, very protective. Trust me he'll mellow out.

Lydia: -Nods softly.- I understand. I just wish he could see that we're not all bad.. I don't want to start fights between the two of you since I've been teaching you magic.. -Says this last part quietly so that he doesn't hear.-

Rowan: -smiles and tilts head- He knows that I have magical abilities, and I need to learn to control it. And if he really didn't like you he would have told me to stay away instead of just be careful.

Lydia: -Frowns a little. Staring down at her feet, she tries to paste on a smile but it was hesitant.- I suppose.. But it doesn't exactly bode well for me either.. -Chews her bottom lip.- I don't want to be where I'm not wanted.. -Letting out a breath.- I'm.. a lot older than I look, Rowan.. Not that I've kept that a secret.. but I've met many people who believe that witches are pure evil.. And I nearly died.. I don't know if I can trust that everything will be alright if he hates us that much... -Tries to hold back her emotions.-

Rowan: -nudges Lydia gently trying to comfort- You've been nothing but kind to me. You are my friend he doesn't hate you he is just concerned about me.

Lydia: -Comes out of her thoughts at the nudge. Looking at her, she gave a strained smile but nodded.- I guess you know him better than I... So if you think it'll be okay I'll try to relax...

Rowan: *smiles* I wouldn't let people hurt you just because you are a witch Lydia, especially not someone in my family. I'm a witch too after all.

Lydia: -Looks at her with a brief smile.- You shouldn't have to protect me though.. I'm more worried about you. I don't want any harm to come to you either since you associate with me..

Rowan: Well how about we look after each other? That's what friends do after all, right? -smiles-

Lydia: -Gives a small smile but nods.- Of course.. -Blushes softly and nibbles lightly at her lip.- Maybe... I should start teaching you some protection spells soon just in case... -Tries to keep her thoughts from spiraling out of control.- You're a really sweet girl, Rowan..

Rowan: -grins- That would be great Lydia, thank you very much. I wish that there was a way to repay you for your kindness.

Lydia: -Blushes softly and shakes her head back and forth.- You don't have to repay me for anything. Your help out at the shop has been more than enough. And I wouldn't be a very good friend if I made you do any more than that.. -Fiddles with her hair.- You've been a wonderful student, Rowan. I really enjoy teaching you.

Rowan: Still I feel like I should do something... I could treat you to dinner...

Lydia: D-Dinner...? -Squeaks a little before straightening herself, trying to regain her composure.- Um, I mean.. that would be lovely. -Smiles softly, a tinge of pink showing on her cheeks.-

Rowan: -giggles- Great then I will treat you to dinner I mean it's the least I can do.

Log 3 - IM Complete

Rowan smiled as she helped Lydia close up the shop. She had been looking forward to this. It would be nice just to hang out with Lydia socially instead of working at the shop or her magic lessons. Now there wouldn't be a type of professional boundary and they could really talk. Honestly Rowan was a bit nervous because of her slight crush on the woman. She could never say anything to Lydia though, it would seem too strange. The older female might just think of it as puppy love.‏

Lydia hummed a quiet tune as she put the key in the lock and turned until she felt the click. Glancing over her shoulder, she smiled warmly at Rowan and pulled her sweater jacket closer over her shoulders as a stray breeze blew passed. She wasn't used to dressing up but she had applied a little more make-up than usual and wore one of her more eleborate dresses. She didn't want to look too overly done, but she couldn't help but feel a little nervous since she hadn't been out on a date in close to ten years.. Well.. that was if this even counted as a date. Still, it was an outting and she wanted to have a nice evening even if it turned out to just be friends.

"Alright.. so.." She pursed her lips and huddled her arms over her torso to keep warm. "Was there umm... a specific place you wanted to go? I haven't been able to check out too many of the local scenes lately.. So you might have a better idea than I do." She gave another smile but awkwardly glanced away before their eyes could meet. This was odd for her considering that she had always been so forthright and confident during their lessons. She hoped it didn't show too badly.

Rowan smiled lightly and blushed slightly, "I don't really have a specific place to go. I just figured that we could walk around and choose whatever looks good." She felt a bit silly for not actually planning this out. "I-Is there something specific you wanted to eat or that you have been craving?"

Lydia took a long moment to think, but nothing really came to mind. Shaking her head to one side, she drew in a breath. "I don't really think so. I haven't been out in so long that I don't really know what kind of place to go to." She blushed a little. "But maybe you're right, we can walk around downtown and see if there is anything interesting?" She offered a smile and looked down the street. It was past sunset so the street lights were starting glowing, giving the town a warm presence. "Besides... I think a walk could be.." She felt her cheeks grow warm. She wanted to say 'romantic' but she figured that would be too much. "..nice." She finished, slightly embarrassed at her own thought.‏

Rowan smiled and began walking next to her, "I'm sure we will find something. The weather is rather nice this evening too so it's the ideal time for a walk too." She fell silent as she walked along Lydia for a little. "You have helped me so much with the spells and everything else. I am so grateful to you." She smiled at Lydia and blushed slightly, "You have become very important to me. You are the only one I trust outside of my family."

Lydia fell in step beside her, rubbing her arms slightly. "A little cooler for my taste than I usually like, but it could definitely be worse." She smiled softly. "It is definitely a nice evening though." Her eyes moved up toward the sky, noting the amount of stars that had already made their appearance. Hearing the statement, Lydia's head shifted to the side to look at Rowan. "I.. thank you.. You've become important to me too. I really do enjoy the lessons.. You've been doing really well too." She chewed on her lip thoughtfully, not sure what else to say without seeming strange for the statement.‏

"I have?" Rowan blushed a bit more and suddenly the ground seemed very interesting. She wanted to tell Lydia, but she was worried of the outcome. She'd never really felt like this before and she wasn't entirely sure of how to handle it. "If I had a jacket I would let you use it... what about the tavern? They have pretty decent food and a really good fireplace. I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable."‏

"You have!" She exclaimed rather cheerily. "It usually takes many months for others to master what you've done in a couple weeks. You're a natural." Giving a reassuring smile toward her. To the rest of the statement, she chewed her lip but then shook her head. "I think.. I mean.. I'd like to take the walk.. if you do? I want to see what there is in town... And maybe.. we could find some place a little.. nicer?" Her cheeks were painted again. She didn't want to mention what she had been previously thinking about the walk nor that she thought the walk was a good time to actually be alone without the distraction of others... What if Rowan freaked out about it if she found out? Shaking her head, she didn't want to think about that right now. Tonight was just supposed to be fun, and she was determined to have a good time.

Rowan beamed with pride then happy to receive such praise. "Well I also have an amazing teacher." Rowan smiled and nodded, "We can continue walking if you won't be too cold. I'd hate for you to catch a cold because of me." It was now that she noticed Lydia's blushing as well. We're they both nervous about the same thing? She couldn't think of another reason at that moment. "Lydia... have you ever been in love?"

Hearing the question, Lydia nibbled her lip nervously. An audiable sigh came from her lips and she glanced toward the sky, nodding slowly. "A couple times.." Her reply was quiet, almost as if her mind was in a different place. "A long time ago." She said as if that would explain things. Knowing that it wouldn't exactly, she tried to gather up herself to talk about it. "The first time.. I thought we were going to be together forever. He was.. so timid and sweet." There was a slight smile on her face, but it quickly faded. "It was back before modern medicine.. He got ill one night.. He got better.. but it came back. We were only married for five years before he passed." She kept her expression tight so that she wouldn't cry.

"After he got ill.. was when I found magic. I tried really hard to find a cure before he took his final breath, but I didn't learn it quickly enough to save him." Her eyes were distant but she didn't stop speaking. "I met a girl in a local coven.. She was more experienced than I was even though she wasn't much older than me. She taught me a lot about magic and the more time we spent together.. Let's just say we were happy for many many years together. Until... She fell into a pretty bad crowd. Their power seduced her.. and we found ourselves on the opposite end of the spectrum." She shivered a little, though rather from the cold or the story it wasn't certain. "She became.. so dark... and twisted.. But.. it spurned me to learn my craft better should our paths ever cross again." She turned to look at Rowan and gave a small smile. "I've had a couple lovers here and there since, but nothing.. ever lasting. I've always feared that she could do terrible harm to anyone should she find where I am." She nibbled her lip slightly, hoping that it wouldn't scare Rowan away. Though she knew she had to be honest should the girl ever want to be closer to her.

At first Rowan's ears were perked as she began listening but as Lydia continued her ears sank lower and lower until they laid flat against her head. "I'm sorry to make you bring up such painful memories..." Rowan nudged her lightly and tried to give an encouraging smile, "If she does find where you are we can protect each other, right? Don't worry, I can kind of understand. Something similar happened to my mom and dad. The witch that attacked us when we were kits was supposed to be a close friend's of mom's but she was jealous that dad didn't want her... so she tried to kill us..." Rowan smiled softly as she began to walk again, "Everyone has skeletons in their closet, you just have to hope you are lucky enough to find someone to help you clear a few out. As for me, I don't want to see the ones I care about get hurt. That includes you."‏

Lydia tilted her head as she listened. She frowned slightly and drew in a breath of cold air. "It's fine.. it isn't your fault, anyhow. It was a long time ago and I was a different person back then. " Her eyes shifted to the sky, watching the twinkling spots of light. "I am sorry that your family went through what it did.. but it is fortunate that a much graver fate didn't happen to you and your siblings. I have seen those who are thirsty for power do absolutely terrible deeds.. It's such a shame. Power should be used to help others.. not cause them harm or for the caster's own benefit alone. That was something that she and I didn't agree on." She shook her head in thought but paused as she glanced at Rowan.

"As for her.. I am very thankful for your offer." There was a bright blush framing her cheeks. She didn't want Rowan to get the wrong idea, however, so she tried to hide it from her. But.. if she thought about it was it the wrong idea? Had she truly thought about wanting more with the girl.. even if it was only a passing thought? She quickly pushed it from her mind. "I do hope, however, that we have much more time to grow your abilities before that happens.. if it does. I don't want to put you or your family in danger again. She is a very powerful caster and I am hoping to be able to gain help from others if she does show back up." She put a finger to her lips, her eyes dancing about the scenery as they walked. "I've heard of a guild with such abilities.. and I'm hoping to forge some sort of alliance with them. There are too many strange and devious beings running about lately.. I'm beginning to believe that those of us with the ability need to come together to combat the various threats..."

"I hope we have the time to do so too..." Rowan smiled but paused as she heard of the guild of sorcerers. "A whole guild huh? Interesting... well if they can help you that is a good thing." She tried to keep her outward appearance cheerful. "Anyway... I didn't mean to bring up such painful memories for you." She turned her gaze to the darkening sky and smiled softly. "Do you think it'd be okay if I started working full-time?"‏

She made a humming sound to the statement, "Not sorcerers... per say.. Adventurers.. There are many different types who are skilled with even sword or bow who have no magical ability. They can be a force to be recogned with when they put their minds to it." She gave a small smile. "I haven't met them personally yet... so.. I'm not entirely sure of what makes up the guild or if they even have the skills we need.. But I figured it's worth checking out all the same."

Lydia's eyes peered at Rowan and she felt her cheeks flush. Trying to hide it, she turned back toward the path they were walking. "It's.. fine. It's in the past now. It was a very long time ago.. and I've changed since those days. I keep hoping that she has too.. for the better.. But I'm not sure if she will." There was a slight hesitation to her voice as she said it. "All I can hope is that it doesn't happen again..." Her eyes settled on Rowan. "I don't want to fail you too.."

Holding in a breath, she finally let it escape as she gave a quick nod, somehow thankful for the change in conversation lest she give away the feelings that were bubbling in the pit of her stomach. "If you'd like to work full time.. I'd definitely welcome it. I can use more help. Business has been picking up this time of year."

"Oh okay, that makes sense a bunch of different people with different skill sets must come in handy." Rowan nudged Lydia lightly and smiled trying to cheer her friend up, "I really value you, Lydia... a-as a friend..." Rowan blushed and looked away for a little bit before taking a deep breath and summoning the courage to look at Lydia once more. "I really like working there with you, it's a lot of fun."

When Lydia heard the statement, 'as a friend', she felt her heart sink a little. "...Right..." She let out a breath but then nodded, reassuring herself that that's all they were in the end and that she was kidding herself to think there could be more. "Right." She nodded firmly this time, a little more bounce in her tone as if the mental barrier would keep herself from dwelling on it or hurting herself any further. "I'm glad you like it. I like working with you too. It's been good to have some life in the old place." She offered a sweet smile while she pulled her sweater up a little further just as much for the cold as it was for steeling herself against furthering that little voice in her head.

Rowan looked over at Lydia wondering what was going through the woman's mind then. She seemed upset for a moment. Seeing Lydia curl into her sweater more she looked around. It was getting colder and they still hadn't decided where to eat. "We should find a place that's warm at the very least. Unless you thought of somewhere you would like to eat?"‏

Lydia tilted her head but gave a swift nod. "I suppose we should. Though I haven't been out to eat in a long time.." She glanced around at the plethora of shops down the street until she spotted one that looked to serve food. "I suppose we could try that one?"‏

Rowan nodded and smiled, "All right let's go." She smiled as she walked with Lydia over to the building.‏

As they walked in the door, Lydia noticed that the restaurant had a rustic yet was modern and had a fine dining quality to it. The walls fine oak pieces, a few framed pictures here and there while the tables had white cloth, each with small vase of flowers. The hostess nodded, offering them a small smile while she sat the two of them at a table in the back. On the wall there was shelving with colorful wine bottles set on the wood to give it a nice little look.

Lydia smiled softly as the hostess gave them their menus and took their drink orders. Lydia glanced at the booklet until her eyes came across some fine red wine. "A whole bottle of it, if you don't mind." She added. She looked back at Rowan, her cheeks slightly pink when she realized how ordering a bottle might come across. "I... It's really good... I thought you might like to try it..." She tried to explain, hoping the girl wouldn't find it too odd.‏

Rowan smiled as she looked around at the décor. They even had a piano in the room for some light music. She smiled as Lydia ordered the bottle but was confused at why she was apologizing. "I don't mind at all. I happen to like wine and I trust your judgment. I figure it was to share anyway." She tilted her head, her ears laying back and looked at the female, "Is something wrong? Did I upset you with our conversation earlier?"‏

Lydia gave a small smile, though the awkwardness for ordering it still hadn't dissipated. Still, she was glad that Rowan hadn't dwelled on it too long. At the question, however, she heard a quiet squeak come from her throat and tried to hide it behind the glass of water that the waitress had given them. After swallowing, she shook her head, "No, you didn't do anything wrong... I promise." Her smile was faint as she stared down at the water. "I'm just a little nervous... I guess... I'm not really used to social gatherings anymore..." She felt her own cheeks tint.‏

Rowan smiled glad that she hadn't upset Lydia. "Well if it helps calm your nerves if you can think of it as just us. You don't seem nervous when it's just us usually." She didn't want Lydia feeling uncomfortable. She moved her attention to the menu and smiled, "Oh they have some pretty tasty sounding pasta's here."‏

Lydia felt her heart jump into her throat. She nibbled heavily on her bottom lip, staring at her silverware while her fingertips slowly played with them. "Um, yeah, right!" She tried to add some cheerfulness to her words, but as her eyes flicked upward and she felt the nervousness welling up in the pit of her stomach. She picked up her menu to try to busy herself. Looking at the menu, she quickly nodded. "They do. I wonder how the ziti tastes..."‏

"The four cheese ravioli sounds good.. I think I'll have to try it..." Rowan was doing everything she could to keep her mind off of the fact that she was crushing on the vixen sitting across the table from her.‏

"Yeah.. it does." Lydia gave a small smile, her aquamarine eyes peering over her menu. She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by the waitress.

"I'm sorry it took so long." She replied as she set down the bottle of wine and glasses along with a basket with some bread sticks. "We've been so busy today." She smiled at them both. "Are you ready to order?" She pulled a notebook out of her pocket and grabbed a pen.

"Umm..." Lydia glanced at the menu again. "I think I'll try the twice baked ziti." She flipped closed the menu and smiled at the lady. She was a lovely looking woman which made Lydia feel even more awkward. She had honestly been living alone for far too long. She took a quick glance at Rowan and felt her cheeks grow warm again. Would Rowan leave if she mentioned that she was starting to grow feelings for her? Shaking her thoughts away, she opened the bottle and began to pour wine for both of them.‏

Rowan jumped a bit as the waitress came up and smiled blushing from embarrassment. "I'll um... I'll have the four cheese ravioli, thanks..." She smiled at Lydia before taking a drink of the wine.‏

After the waitress took the order, she smiled and nodded. "I'll be right back with your order." Her eyes lingered on Rowan a little longer than Lydia would have liked. She frowned, but kept the expression burried in her wine glass.

The silence was growing, and Lydia felt her nervousness returning. She never was very good at these kinds of things. Letting out a breath, "Is it okay if I ask you something personal?" She inquired, knowing that it wasn't polite to just go about asking without permission... though the subject she wanted to bring up perhaps wasn't the one she really wanted to ask either.‏

Rowan looked at Lydia for a moment. The had a few personal discussions already tonight. But Lydia was very polite so it wasn't too shocking to hear her being asked. "Yes, it's okay. What do you want to know?" She smiled at her and took another sip.‏

Her expression changed to something somewhat perplexed as she tried to think of her words, "Please.. don't get me wrong.. I love having you at the shop. Having you there has put so much more life into the place." She rested her chin on her hand and gave a small smile. "But... why is it that you came to me for teaching? Your family doesn't seem all that keen on witches in general... And because of that... they don't seem all that keen on you even associating with me..." She chewed the inside of her cheek.‏

Rowan nodded, "I can understand why you'd be confused... but after the attack on our family... I realized that I was starting to be able to do things. My brother is very protective, but he does know that I need to learn what I'm doing so I don't hurt anyone."‏

"Ahh..." Lydia was hesitant again, tracing her finger around the goblet while her eyes were distant. Before she could reign in her thoughts, she found herself saying, "But that doesn't explain why you're hanging out with me.. I mean... while not at the store.." Her eyes glanced Rowan's way, searching for anything that might help her feel more at ease in her current situation.‏

Rowan blinked as her face flushed, "Well... you see... you are a really good person. You are really kind. I've... really grown fond of you."‏

Lydia nibbled on her lip again. There was a slight flutter in her stomach, but she had to remind herself that that wasn't exactly a confession. So... she'd have to come right out and say it if she really wanted to know.. even at the risk of losing Rowan as a friend and apprentice. "I..." She swallowed again, trying to get the courage up. "I've grown rather fond of you as well..." Right, way to mimic her. "I mean... I like you Rowan.. as more than just... what we are... But... I don't want you to stop studying... and if this is.. too much a distraction... I can always whip up a potion to take my feelings away so it isn't.. awkward..." She just kind of blurted it out, feeling very self-conscious since it wasn't like her to take such a risk.‏

Rowan gradually turned more and more red till she was entirely flushed hearing what Lydia had to say. "Really?" She sat almost dumbstruck for a moment before a very happy smile came over her features, "I like you too... I was scared to say anything. I was afraid you might dismiss it as puppy love..."‏

Lydia tilted her head to the side, the fluttering in her stomach increasing almost ten-fold. "You..." Her glass nearly dropped from her hand and she had quickly stop it from splashing all over the table. She blinked and looked at Rowan, staring for what seemed like minutes. "You... like me too.." A small smile came across her face. "Rowan... I would... love if you'd... be my girlfriend..." She nibbled her lower lip.

Rowan smiled and nodded, "I... I would like that very much, Lydia..." She felt as if a giant weight had been lifted off of her chest, and she was now able to fully relax. When the food arrived she smiled softly at Lydia, "Does this count as our first date then?"‏

Avalon and DarkHikari's Yukin

Log 1 - IM (Finished through Plotting)

Avalon smiled as he roamed the rows of books within the library. It was a very calming place for him. Books were a welcome distraction and source of entertainment. Stress of the world could leave him briefly while he was engrossed in a good book. The only question was: Which book would be his escape today?

Yukin nestled into the chair as she considered the stack of books that sat before her. She set the one she had just finished down and pondered what her next one should be. While she weighed her options she glanced around before smiling softly. That same guy was lurking in the library again. She'd seen him before a few times, but still hadn't summoned the guts to say hello.

Avalon smiled as he picked up a book and moved to the plush sitting area. As he walked over he smiled seeing a girl with a stack of books in front of her. It seemed as if she was debating which one to read. He had seen her in here before, always reading. He'd locked eyes with her once but with how she looked away he assumed she was shy. He sat near but not next to her and made himself comfortable.‏

Dr. Oran East and Dooma's Seraph Xi

Log 1 - IM
The morning was dark and a cold wet wind howled threw the thick grey fog. The fog was as thick as the dark clouds that promised a full day of heavy icy storms. It was a strange turn of fate for the summer days but a figure moved threw the fog with no destination in mind. The soft click of hooves and the heavy swish of thick fabric echoed in the mist as a pale form moved threw the swirling mass. Glowing sky colored eyes seemed distant and unfocused as his mind was just as distant. Like all Kirin this one could heal but he found nothing so grand with the living any more. Why heal them for their hyper meaningless lives? What really was the meaning of it all. This lack of direction and purpose had the heavenly kirin wandering, he did not know for how long or when the last time he had rested or eaten was but it did not really seem to matter. Though the body would demand attention when nit really needed it and soon enough he would have to rest.

Soon enough came rather quickly as sharply pale legs wobbled and the angelic figure fell to his knees. Glowing eyes fluttered and soon the richly adorned head rested on the wet earth and the eyes shut as Seraph Xi's body demand sleep. The graceful figure was asleep and his breath just barely causing any movement to the heavy silken robes.

Dr. Oran East was out and wandering in the fog. Since the whole lab accident, that was in fact his fault but in his mind only a technicality, he hadn't talked to many noodles. So he took to walks in the dark and fog. This night his eyes glowed eerily as he walked around. He stopped as he came across a very ornately dressed noodle lying in the path. He leaned in to sniff them lightly before nudging them. "Hey... are you okay?"

One glowing blue eye slowly opened up the glow shone brightly for a moment then faded a bit as it focused on Dr. Oran East. "What is the point if I am okay? I am alive and without purpose." slowly the glowing eye shifted over this form and looked at the wound in the other's neck, "Does it hurt you?"

Oran looked at the very elegant noodle and suddenly began to laugh. "Sorry... I'm fine and I'd like to think we are all alive for a reason... even me." he breathed as he began to calm down, "My name is Oran East, and you are?"

The laugh was a rather strange sound to the Kirin noodle, what with the gaping wound at the ofher's neck. Seraph Xi was not normally one who worries about healing anyone but he was slightly interested in the ofher's answer so he tiredly lifted his head and shifted to lean up his thick large robes opened with the movement and slid slightly down a delicate though brushed should and chest. Tilting his head the angel looking male licked softly at the blood gouge at the other male's neck. "Seraph Xi..." He almost whispered against the matter bloody fur.

Oran blinked and slowly took a step back to examine the kirin slowly. "Well then, Seraph Xi, why did you do that?"

"You are wounded Oran East...I was seeking to close your wound." he spoke softly and looked up at the form above him the thick robe slid down his arm to display fresh dark bruises along the pale flesh. He gave a small shrug and laid his thing form back down onto the cold wet ground, "I guess my aid is not needed."

"I've had this wound for years... I am fine." Oran nudged the kirin, "You are hurt please come with me I'm a doctor..."

Seraph Xi opened his eyes again that had shut and he focused them on the dark demon. "Filthy beast thought...my body was best used for a play thing...instead of healing..." He lowered his head back down again, "A doctor who's wound won't heal does not need a Kirin who won't heal."

Doc winced a bit and sighed deeply, "I'll leave you alone then." Again he'd just been called a failure to his face. He was still sensitive.

Seraph Xi opened his eyes at the sigh and looked at the Doctor. "Let me heal your wound...and you may then have my body." he said standing up slowly. Even exhausted his body moved in such a graceful manner.

Oran stared at the kirin male for a moment over the rim of his glasses. "come with me then," he said slowly leading the male to his home.

Seraph Xi focused his pale glowing eyes focused on the dark hide leading him away. He had no real thoughts as he followed the other male keeping his mind quiet and even. He did not focus on wear they were going nor did he really care.

Oran took the brightly adorned winged kirin to his home where he began patching the male up. "Life is precious... especially the lives of though who can do good..."

Seraph Xi let the doctor do just the bruises on his face and neck but stepped back when Oran tried to go farther, "No more until I attempt to close the wound some." he said a bit sleepily. "Life is precious?" He asked with a small laugh, "I have yet to find a reason to do good."

Oran sighed, "Then why do you insist on healing my wound?"

"You have a purpose to your life and you did not ask for healing." he said and looked at him. "Besides a deal is a deal no?" He asked calmly.

Oran chuckled darkly, "That person is long gone, but you are right and you can try I suppose."

Seraph Xi paused, "So you are saying you have no purpose to keep going?" He sighed and shifted to pull his sleep back over his slim shoulder.

Oran sat down and shrugged, "It's a long story..."

"I guess I was wrong to offer my services to you then." he said and sighed and got to his paws again.

Oran looked at Seraph critically, "Do you know your purpose to life? It does take a while for most to figure it out."

"I have no purpose in life. I have no drive.." He sighed, "And yet I still ran from my last master. I still try to survive." His ears lowered and he looked at his paws defeated, "If I have nothing to live for then why to I resist masters and mistresses? I should return and not care what they do to my body. I should heal when they wish it." He looked up at Oran, "But I see no point in serving those who have no drive or will. Do you have either of those?"

"You... were a slave?" Oran asked a little shocked that it was still practiced. He took a deep breath and sighed, "I have the will to live... no matter the cost... which is why I can stand here with a gaping hole in my throat and am still here in a way." Oran sat and smiled slightly, "It seems you have the will to live in freedom and not be someone's plaything."

"Yes I was sold often because I will not heal my owners. They have no drive or will. They indulge and wish aid when their games go array. But when my last one tried to force himself on me...I ran." he said and a small smile graced his lips hearing that Oran had a will to live and he was still living. "Allow me to close a bit of your wound at least temporarily and give your body a rest and you can have mine to heal if you wish...but you shall have to do it soon." He softened his look shifting so his robe again slide down his shoulder a bit.

Oran looked at the strange male for a moment before he nodded, "Very well."

Seraph Xi seemed satisfied with the answer he received and stepped closer to gently lick at the deep gapping wound at Oran's neck. His licks were light and a strange mix of cooking and warming. He licked around the edge of the wound first then across the exposed tissue. If Oran had been suffering this Xi knew it would at most be a day or two fix then the would would reopen or it would only close part way.

It was strange for Oran not just because of the odd warming sensation but because of the fact he was being licked at all still he let Seraph do as he wished.

Once Seraph Xi had closed the wound as best he could he sat back to look at it and gave a nod. "Thank you Oran East. I assume you wish me out of my robes then?" He ask as he started to undo the knot of his belt. Even such simple actions were done with a strange elegance and alluring grace it was not surpriseing he was attacked, what was surprising is he was not attacked before.

He slid the robes from his pale shoulders and stood naked and bruised before Oran. The almost glowing honeycomb patterned scales on his body seemed to be more numerous that they had when the first met in fact it seemed that they were forming along the edges of bruises.

Oran applied a simple painkiller to the bruises to ease the pain and checked for broken ribs.

Seraph Xi watched him applying pain killers on him and he winced a bit one rub was broken and two felt cracked on the other side. Also one back leg was swollen and partly twisted as well as some claw marks along his hips.

Oran sighed as he began treating the other injuries. "There is quite some damage here... would you be okay with staying here while you heal?"

Seraph Xi was rather quiet as the things were being taken care off. He gave a small nod when it was all done and looked at Oran, "Would you be alright with me staying here Oran?" He ask as he started to pull back on the heavy robes.

Oran smiled a bit though there was something sad about it. "I... I live in this house by myself and am usually alone. It would be night to have company for a change."

Seraph Xi gave a bow of his head and a nod, "Then I shall stay with you as I heal. I have no other home to go to...when I am not serving someone."

Oran nodded, "Follow me... I'll give you a room, you should rest."

Seraph Xi followed along behind Oran, "How long have you been alone here? Since you were wounded?"

"I have always lived here alone... but before I was wounded I had a kind of working friendship with my coworkers..."

Seraph Xi moved to lay in the room he was offered and sighed softly, "I see and you have no friends remaining now? So you are fully one hundred percent alone now?"

Dr. East nodded, "When I got wounded... a lot of people got hurt too and it was my fault..."

"Accidents happen sir...it is part of life, whether it is your fault or not a friend should not hate you because you caused them pain." He spoke evenly. "You were helping me and causing me pain I do not hate you, even if you caused me pain on purpose I would not hate you and we are not even friends."

"Well... not all share your philosophy unfortunately," he smiled softly, "Get some rest Seraph, we can talk more in the morning if you wish..." With that he left that bedroom and went to his own and looked in the mirror at his neck.

"As you wish sir. Please sleep well...and thank you for giving me sheather here." He laid his head down on the bed and soon allowed himself to sleep.

Log 2 - IM

The smell of food woke Seraph Xi. He had slept better than he had expected and he rose with little soreness to his body. He fixed his own robes and allowed his nose to guide him to the soured of the smell and Oran, "Good morning Oran. I hope you slept well."

"I did." Oran nodded as he sipped on his coffee. "Good morning to you as well. I hope you were comfortable. Please help yourself if you are hungry,"

"Yes sir I was very comfortable. The bed you provided was very enjoyable. And I am healing very well." He said and did help himself to some food eating it quietly, "How is your wound? Is the patch I give you still holding up a bit?"

"The patch is holding well... I'll admit it's a little strange... I had gotten used to it..." he smiled lightly, "Thank you."

"I am sorry if it is strange for you. You can remove it if you like. I do not think it would hurt too much." He laughed gently, "Thank you for your care Mr. Oran you have helped me heal quicker and fed me. Thank you."

"No I think I'll keep it for a bit," he smiled at the kirin. It had been a long time since anyone had thanked him. "You are very welcome Mr. Seraph."

Seraph Xi was rather happy to see the first heal job he did actually stay on for now. It made him feel like it was worth it. It even made him feel a bit of pride. "You do not need to be polite to me like that Mr. Oran, you are someone of higher standing. I may be prideful but I am nothing more than a slave to the highest bidder.

"Wrong... you are a person and deserve respect. I am not above you... trust me...."

"You do not seem they type to be passed around for money." He said calmly and shook his head, "but if you wish wail in your home I shall consider us equal."

"Still for those who know my reputation you would still be treated better than me..." He spoke calmly as well and shrugged. "Feel free to stay here as long as you wish. As my guest of course."

"And what pray tell is the reputation of the male I am with. As your guest I should be treated just as you are." he said and watched him his glowing eyes a bit softer in the light of day then they were at night. Something about this demonic male seemed more innocent and in a way almost in need of protecting. It was a strange new sensation just starting to tingle into being within the Kirin.

Oran watched him for a moment and sighed nodding. He refilled his cup of coffee before telling the kirin all about his plans to end death and the spell he'd found; his plan to mix science and magic. About his bungling of the spell and how it led to the deaths of quite a few noodles and his fall from society after that. Usually he wouldn't have said anything about it but he felt the urge to be honest with this noodle.

Seraph Xi listened to the tail without a word nibbling at a piece of pineapple. He looked over the demonic cold looking male. And he shifted over. He felt rather compeled to try and offer some sort of comfort. He being careful of his antlers gently nuzzled the side of Oran's neck, careful as well of the patch, "You were attempting to do good. Will the greater good for life...death shall come. You should not look to the past for anything more than a stepping stone and a growth to better the future. You survived and with such wounds...you were a success Oran. And you are saving a life here and now.." he gave a gentle lick to the dark cheek before shifting back away from the other male.

Oran froze slightly at the physical contact but slowly relaxed listening to Seraph's words. He felt a type of peace drift over him, "Thank you Seraph..."

Seraph gave a slow nod and a gentle smile to Oran, "You are most welcome Oran. It is very true. I think you have done a wonderful job..you survived and you have been living with the wound at your neck. You are an incredible male Oran." he said evenly and gathered the dishes, "I shall clean up. I am sure you have work to do more research to finish."

Oran felt his face flush at such praise. He was obviously unused to it. "Yes... I suppose I should get back to my work... The study and library are down the west end hallway if you need me."

"I shall try not to be a bother to you. My surface wounds are already healed..the bones should only take a day or two more then I shall be out of your hair." He said softly and could not help a small laugh, "You are handsome when your cheeks color."

"You won't be and you may stay as long as you wish... I kind of miss the company..." He flushed a bit more at the teasing, "I-I... umm... right..." he quickly left for the study.

Seraph Xi watched Oran leave with a fait smile across his lips. He then got to cleaning up like he hand said he would. Once he was done with that he moved to slowly walk around Oran's place. His steps were silent and ghost like the only sounds around him here the thick sound of silken fabric brushing against itself. He was walking alone and yet he did not feel so alone.

The house was rather dusty as in Oran's depression he had let things go. His house was well furnished and it was clear that in one point in time he had or planned for a family life.

Seraph Xi could not help but feel a bit of sadness at the state of neglect to the house and the promise each room held. He gave a soft sigh and returned to his room to remove his robe and tied his hair back without the adornments. He found some plain clothes he could wear and put them on before he moved back to the rest of the house and started to clean.

Oran sighed as he worked on cleaning up his own study. It was strange that he wanted to get back to work.

Seraph kept himself busy, it was not until late afternoon that he paused in his cleaning and moved to make something for them to eat. He had not seen Oran so he figured the other male was busy. Once the food was made he left it outside the study door and gave a knock before going to his own room to take a break and eat his lunch.

Doc paused at the knock on the door and moved over to open the door. He blinked as he looked at the food and smiled moving to eat.

Seraph ate his food and took the plates to the kitchen to wash them. He was sure he would be done with the full cleaning by dinner time. His next room would be Oran's bedroom.

In Oran's bedroom was dark since the shades were closed and there were books scattered everywhere even on his bed.

Seraph Xi sighed a bit and pushed open the curtains then started to clean up the bed and stack the books. "He is a smart one.."

Soon into Seraph's cleaning Oran walked into his room and paused, "Seraph? Have you been cleaning this whole time?"

Seraph Xi jumped at the sudden voice and turned to look at Oran his cheeks flushed from the work and his body a bit slick with a thin layer of sweat, "Yes...I wanted to repay your kindness some how...and you shall not make friends living in dust and regret."

Oran walked over to Seraph and smiled a bit embarrassed, "Well thank you and for the sandwich too... but how about we both take a break?"

Seraph tilted his head the expression on the 'good' doctor's face was a bit strange to Seraph. The kirin looked at the stack of books he had been starting to alphabatize by subject matter, "I was going to try and organize your books...I know you are busy please do not worry about me..my injuries are not hurting me...I hope the sandwich did not bother you."

Oran shook his head and chuckled, "The sandwich was needed actually I did not realize I was hungry until the first bite."

Seraph Xi smiled at this his body relaxing and he gave a soft real chuckle, "I am very glad to be able to help you then. Someone needs to take care of your body wail you take care of that kind of yours."

Oran smiled, "I'm glad you stayed Seraph."

"Thank you for your help and allowing me to stay...and agreeing to my terms." He smiled as well, "I shall finish with these books and then take a break."

"You're welcome," he nodded, "I'll be in the kitchen making tea."

Seraph Xi gave a gentle nod, "Alright Oran." He turned back to organizing the books and about ten minutes later he move to the kitchen.

When Seraph entered the kitchen Oran was pouring the tea for both of them.

Seraph Xi smiled, "Thank you Oran. I am sure it will be delicious. I hope I am not taking too much of your time with this break and tea."

Oran chuckled and looked at Seraph curiously, "You seem so docile all of a sudden my friend, why?"

Seraph tilted his head, "Do I? I am sorry is it a bad thing. I just saw that your place needed some cleaning so I wanted to help..I can stop if you wish it."

Oran shook his head, "That isn't what I meant. I won't complain if that is what you wish to do. You seemed more confident in a way last night."

"Am I being to subservient again? Maybe I am simply born to serve." He laughed and sipped the tea. "Do you want me to be more confident?"

Oran chuckled before sipping his tea, "What do you want to be Searph?

"What ever will give me meaning to being alive...I have no drive...thought I wanted to heal you." He looked at his tea, "I wanted to heal your neck...at least for a time."

"Well to be honest you healing my neck is what has inspired my new research. I do know that this wound is a permanent thing thought because this patch is slowly deteriorating."

"I inspired you to some research?" he looked up rather surprised. "I have never inspired anything before." he flicked his tail slowly and then gently lowered it to sip his tea. "Then you shall need me to patch it again?" He asked a small bit of hopefulness in his voice that for a moment escaped him before he his eyes widened a bit and he looked down his pale cheeks a slight bit flushed.

"Yes you have, and if you would like to stay and help I would be grateful... though... I'm not always on the pleasant side.

"No one can be pleasant all the time." he said softly and tilted his head looking up at the darker male, "What help may I be to you? I do not know what I can do but I would be glad to be there and help as best I can. But please feel free to remove me as you wish."

"Remove you?" Oran asked raising a brow.

The Kirin gave another gentle nod of his head, "Yes kick me out of your house. It seems to be a normal occurrence...though I have never wanted to heal before your neck. So I do not mind continuing to give you a patch here and there."

Oran chuckled, it would take some getting used to the phrases Seraph used. "All right then, but you haven't done anything to make me want to do that. Yet."

"Thank you for not kicking me out just yet Oran. I will try not to be a bother to you." He said and finished his tea, "Is there somewhere you wish me to clean."

"Not that I can think of. You can just relax."

"Oh okay then." Seraph Xi said softly. He would go and take a nice bath then and clean up. He figured maybe he could get a bit used to this place. It did seem he would spend most of his time alone.

Oran stretched and yawned slightly before finishing his tea.

Seraph watched the other male stretch and gathered the cups and dishes before taking them to be washed. "I hope your research continues to go well Oran."

"Thank you Seraph, it's nice to have a purpose again," he smiled, "I'll be in the study." With that he moved out of the kitchen.

Seraph watched him head off glad to see the other male smiling and looking so excited. "I am glad to hear you have purpose." He seemed a bit excited at that. He then moved to keep cleaning.

Oran would continue working into the night making lists and fixing his research equipment.

Shaye Durran-Greenstone and Ambrosia Blackmoon

Log 1 - IM
Ambrosia: -Practicing moving things with magic, even to the point of switching some things from various purses to other ones. Giggles softly to herself.-

Shaye: -wanders over and moves to look at curiously- Whatcha doin?

Ambrosia: -Jumps when she hears the voice.- Shhhh... Don't scare me like that! -Blinks and moves behind a chair to make sure no one saw her.- Just practicing magic. The adults don't like it for some reason...

Shaye: -ears lay back a little- S-Sorry.... Why don't they like it? My mommas encourage me to practice.

Ambrosia: I don't know. They just seem to get mad when I start moving things around.. Adults can be strange. -Wrinkles her nose and then looks over at him.- Oh yeah? You can do magic too?

Shaye: -grins and nods- Yep. Both of my moms have magic and own a shop in town

Ambrosia: -Her head tilts to the side, hair falling in her face. She grins as if knowing something he doesn't- Ahhh.. that means we're rivals then! Or something. -Giggles softly.- My father owns a bunch of stores.. which means your parents shop is probably in competition somehow.

Shaye: -tilts head and giggles- Why can't we be friends too?

Ambrosia: -Shrugs and moves away from the chairs where she was practicing.- I didn't say that. I was just pointing out that my father would probably say something obnoxious if he knew..

Shaye: Does your father have a temper or something?

Ambrosia: Temper..? -Blinks, trying to think of what he meant.- I don't think so..? I dunno.

Shaye: Does he get mad easy I mean?

Ambrosia: Oh, that! Nah. He's pretty relaxed and kind of lazy.. honestly... -Makes a face.-

Shaye: Oh okay. What kind of magic can you do?

Ambrosia: -Frowns, sitting down.- Only Mage Hand so far... I'm hoping maybe to do some Radiant Magic.. or maybe Illusions like my mother. I dunno yet. What about you?

Shaye: -sits- Umm I can do Mage Hand too... I got a candle to light once too

Ambrosia: -Blinks at him, her head tilted to one side.- Really? I thought Mage Hand was something from my parents' world. That's really cool that you know what it is!

Shaye: -blinks- wait what do you mean by Mage Hand then? Cause it might be different

Ambrosia: Mage Hand is a spell from my father and mother's world. It's like.. -Tries to figure out how to explain it.- An invisible hand that you can use to do things for you. Pick up things, carry them, open doors.. that kind of thing.

Shaye: Your mom and dad's world? -tilts head confused-

Ambrosia: Yeah. They're from a world called the Izlands. They were brought here through magic.

Shaye: Okay then... I found about it in one of the books at mom's store. I can only pick things up right now.

Ambrosia: Hmmm... okay. Well, that's cool. So your mom owns a bookstore then?

Shaye: -nods- Yes and no. It has books, of course, but it also has supplies in it too.
