I'd be willing to set up an auction for actual items, for buying, selling, bidding, ect. I think this is a smarter idea than marketplace because of the lack of the 2% "tax". I can use a mule so no one's items get mixed up with mine, or we could use the fundraising mule or something. But I think items are one of the best ways to go for fundraising.

The Sands of Time Blow.... I know several people in the past have played the Market and made a LOT of gold for the Annual Ball. Infact the 7th got a lot of it's funds in this way.
However this is normally if a person is good at it and wants to do it. Since it takes someone who knows how to buy low and sell high. (Someone with experience.)
For something like "Collecting items to sell them" we normally just donate the items to the Annual Ball, and the Main Host sells them. (Or in this case we could Donate to the Fundraiseing Mule and Jess can sell them. xD)

I suppose what I was getting at was to assemble a team of people who excel at buying low and selling high, get multiple people doing it at once. Kind of like the other teams we were assembling.
Also, wouldn't it be easier on the main host if (provided that the seller was good at it) sold the item ourselves? Not that it's the biggest deal, I just wouldn't want to go around carefully selling tons of items donated. ^_^;;

Awesome!
Another thing I've been doing is clicking that "Cash Tree" thing. Little by little, collecting Gaia cash. Buy item with Gaia cash, sell. That way, automatically, you get more than you bargained for. But it takes forever. -_-
