After the conversation that he'd had just days past with Sunbreak, and after cementing his own relationship with Skygaze, Slowstep was feeling pretty great. No, he was feeling better than great. He was feeling like he could conquer the world. He was also feeling like he wanted to help others. Specifically, he wanted to help Sunbreak with his lady problems, and the best way that he could think to do that was to introduce him to Coolbreeze's daughter, Brightfoot. Of course, he didn't want to just approach the pretty girl and set them up -- he wanted to inform her of his intentions and only if she agreed would he then go to Sunbreak and arrange a meeting. Stepping closer to Coolbreeze's den, Slowstep called out a soft, "Hello?"

Things were going well for the female. She had a good life, a good mother, a good home.. She just really enjoyed everything about .. well.. everything. She was easy to please, and she was an excitable, friendly girl. Though at this moment, she had been the sleepy girl. Lifting her head from its resting position on her paws, she flicked an ear, listening intently. Had she heard someone? She stood, stretching out her brightly colored legs and yawned. Once she was up however, the sleepiness in her body wore off and she had a bit of a bounce in her step.
She approached the exit of the den, and then a scent came to her nose. She sniffed to see if she would know who it was before she saw them, and she was happy to say she knew him to be a friendly member of the pack.
"Slowstep!" She said excitedly, wagging her tail and darting out from her den to run around his legs.

Slowstep laughed abruptly after spotting the girl he'd come to see.
"How are you, Brightfoot?" He nipped her haunch as she slipped past him, the action playful and familiar. He'd known her mother for a long time, though she was older than him by a fair amount of years. "You're just the lady I've come to see." He was even more familiar with the family since Brightfoot's mother was the same female that Skygaze worked under.
He hoped that she didn't react badly to this pressing matter that he felt the need to address. She was a strong girl like her mother but friendly nonetheless. "I hope I didn't interrupt your nap, by the way," he added almost as an afterthought.

"Im good! Its been awhile. Momma was wondering when you were going to come visiting again. Shes not here though, if shes who you are after." She said with a smile, her voice bubbly and happy much like it always was. Not much got Brightfoot down, and when it did, that only sparked her determination to be happy again and she did her best to make it happen.
"I am? Really?" She asked wagging her tail in an excited fashion. She didnt really get many visitors. She supposed she had far too much energy for many of the dogs around, but she was quite okay with that. She had her friends, and she made them easy.
"You didnt." She said, stretching out her paws again and then sitting.
"Well you did, but I wanted to be awake anyway." She grinned.

Slowstep laughed heartily, shaking his head at her exuberance. She was a sweet and happy girl which spoke mountains of her mother, as far as Slowstep was concerned. There wasn't a mean bone in Brightfoot's body, and he was even more convinced that introducing the younger dog to Sunbreak would be a good step for mending the other male's lovesick, broken heart.
"You are!" he affirmed, nodding his head as he watched her carefully. He wasn't sure if just blurting out what he'd come for was a good idea, but then again, skirting around the issue at hand certainly wouldn't do much good.
"You know my mate, Skygaze?" He figured she'd have to. Skygaze was almost always near Coolbreeze, after all.

Buffy the Bloody She was happy that her existence spoke well of momma. She had always tried to be a good girl though lets face it. Sometimes she was just too excited to get much. She smiled, nodding. Her mother was very close to Skygaze. In fact, Skygaze had been there to help her momma when she was in labor. She hadnt known however that she was Slowstep's mate. But when he told her she squealed. "Eeee. That is too cute. You and her are so cute!" She cooed. Slowstep chuckled -- he couldn't help it, her excitement was infectious. "I finally asked her if she'd be my lifemate, and she said yes," he said proudly. It was a topic that he could speak forever on -- how much his mate meant to him and how proud he was to call her his own. "Ahh, you've distracted me now," he grinned, getting back to the topic at hand. "Skygaze has a nephew -- Sunbreak," he chuckled, "and Sunbreak has been feeling a little despondent over a girl. I figured that if anyone could cheer him up, you could, Brightfoot."

Buffy the Bloody She wagged her tail faster, a gleam of light in her eyes. That was the most romantic story she had ever heard. She hoped to find that one day, or at least have a male that thought of her the same as Slowstep thought of Skygaze. "I'm so happy for you. I better see lots of pups. I love pups." It was true, she wanted to play with all sorts of puppies, and the older her friends got the sadder it made her! "Oh? No one should feel sad! I'd love to make him happy again. Or at least try my best." She said, saluting the older male with a stern focused look on her face. A blush tinged Slowstep's ears. While he'd always wanted a family of his own, just the thought of being a father made him a little excited and at the same time a little nervous. Maybe someday, he thought to himself. He was happy just having Skygaze as his lifemate, it was too soon to think about pups!! "I'm glad you are such a sweet girl," he said to Brightfoot, "because Sunbreak is a nice kid." Kid, hah, Sunbreak was a dog full-grown, but Slowstep could call him kid since Sunbreak was younger. "I'll set up a meeting between you two. I'll have him come to your den two days from now. Early morning." Now that the plan was set in motion, Slowstep dipped his head in farewell. "It was nice to see you again, Brightfoot, as always." He grinned at her, utterly pleased by how well things were working out.

Buffy the Bloody Brightfoot smiled when Slowstep complimented her temperment. She had always thought she was a pretty good girl, and momma told her pretty frequently. But sometimes momma also told her, "No no, slow down, sometimes I cant keep up with you child." Those were the times she knew she had annoyed her.. "Its a date! I mean. Er. I dont know what it is, but Im excited." She said with a giggle. She wasnt sure it was a date but oh was she ever excited! "Thanks for thinking of me Slowstep! Tell Skygaze I said good day, and that I am happy for you both." "I'll be sure to tell her," Slowstep called out as he trotted away. He felt as if he'd accomplished something and while he wasn't entirely certain how Sunbreak would react, well... no, how could Sunbreak not love Brightfoot? Never had there been a more bubbly and sweet female (well, aside from Skygaze, and Skygaze wasn't so much bubbly as she was sweet and beautiful and gentle and bumbling and adorable and -- ). Shaking his head, Slowstep trotted home. He couldn't wait to tell Skygaze about the little date he'd set up for her cousin.
