 Unsteady on her feet, Furious Rose tottered through the low grasses, trying to avoid the waters that crept up to either side of her. She didn't want to trip, stumble, get a dunking; she wasn't sure about that water stuff just yet, it looked cold. Rose didn't like cold, not in the slightest. Which meant she was going to have to find a warm place to rest, and soon, since she wasn't quite sure when the sun was going to go down. She wasn't quite sure how far she'd wandered from the ripped remains of her sac, but it'd been when what she could see of the sun was on the other side of the sky, so it'd been a long while.

The job had seemed pretty easy from the outset... just a doe wanting him to find her favorite moth. As jobs went, it was a little dull for his tastes, but easy food is easy food, and she'd promised to show him a bush laden with berries when it was all over. He could hunt well enough, even liked the challenge of it, since it was much like his true calling. But searching out berries? There was no danger there, so there was no interest, save the delicious results, and he often bargained for those, just as he'd done now. She'd been a looker, too, he thought to himself, treading with surprising delicacy through the swamp. Pretty eyes, pretty horns... great legs. Legs were often what caught him up and held his attention, and thinking back on hers, his mind drifted a bit, pondering just what it would take to convince her to share some of those berries... maybe a snake or two... and possibly her body, as well. He might just have to try, once this moth thing was all cleared up. Musing on those distant fantasies, he didn't immediately notice the small, brightly-colored foal nearby...

"...You!" Rose glared at the dark buck, almost snarling. It was him! It was the dark streak from her pretty dream, the thing that had interrupted all her lovely rainbows and flowers! Gathering herself, she ran as fast as she could -- which wasn't very fast -- and headbutted him in the side with all her infant strength. He deserved it for being a jerk and messing up her dream!

It was mainly surprise that had him stumble back a pace. It certainly wasn't her strength, though as foals went, she did seem pretty strong. Or maybe he just didn't know that many foals.
...That headbutt hurt a bit, though.
"You gotta problem with me?" he asked, peering down at the bright foal in consternation. He certainly couldn't remember ever meeting her.

Rose splayed her legs a bit in an attempt to keep herself steady, then lifted her head to glare up at Can't again. "Yeah, I do. You were in my dream! My wonderful rainbow dream, and you messed it all up! It was a good dream too, so what were you doing in it, huh?!"

Can't stared at the foal for a few minutes, bemused, then chuckled lowly. "I don't know what dream you're talking about," he informed her, then turned to go back to his hunt, amused more at her daring than annoyed by the hurt.

"My dream! The dream I had before I came out of my sac!" Rose stumbled along after Can't, determined to keep up with this monochromatic buck that had cut such a large figure in her mind already.

Rose glowered irritably up at Can't, doing her best to keep up. It was hard -- she really was tiny, even for a foal, but she certainly seemed to have the personality to make up for it. "I wanna find out why you were in my dream, you jerk. And I'm not leaving you alone until I do."

Can't laughed at that. "No idea," he said, amiably enough. He found her amusing more than irritating, though her noise was likely to scare away the moth. "I don't try to figure out the brains of you fillies. I'm not interested in the impossible."

"Jerk," Rose reiterated, stomping along after Can't. "Who are you, anyway? I don't even know your name!" Which really was a crime. She deserved to know this buck's name, after what he did.

Her anger just made it all the more amusing. He had to wonder if she'd ever let go of it, or if she was the type to cling to it forever. "I don't know yours, either, foal," he informed her firmly.

Rose stumbled a bit over a root, then hurried after the buck before he could get out of her view. "I'm Furious Rose. So tell me who you are."

Can't chuckled. "I can't imagine a better name for you," he informed the foal. "I'm Can't Hide. Call me Can't." He paused, then looked at her again. "If you're gonna tag along, keep your eyes peeled for a green and gold moth."

"...Why're you looking for a green and gold moth?" Rose asked, sticking close by Can't side. She felt safer next to him, even if he was... well, a jerk. He was the only other kimeti she'd seen so far, after all.
