It's so bright and hot today. Erimentha thought to herself grudgingly. She wasn't one to really complain about the heat, but today seemed to be unusually hot. Not but a hour before she had no choice but to seek the shelter of a dead Baobab tree in order to keep herself from passing out in the heat. The vast savannah seemed to be going through a drought, which didn't really help her since she had come to this land in order to find at least a small amount of water to drink.
Her head rested gently against the cool ground, hoping to seep it's coldness into her very core. As she laid there her thoughts drifted to a dream she had once had of small creatures with wings. They were not birds, but they were not like her either. They were these odd creatures that walked on two legs. Finally she opened her eyes and shook away that crazy dream. It must be the heat getting to her. She was having some serious delusions.

A low purrs escaped from Kojo's mouth as he lazed upon "his rock" which sat in the middle of the savannah. The day was slow and lazy, which was to be excepted with this kind of heat, but that did not stop the lion from at least having some sort of fun, if it could so be called. It was not the right time to go out and harass someone like he normally would, no, with the heat the targets would be too easy, too lazy, to boring. But still, the least he could do was at least pick out a few potential targets for the future.
'No no no. The one is too sickly.' the voice inside his head said. 'If you want to kill it you could, but the damned thing would not make for a good lasting target. No way.'
Scuffing, Kojo scanned on. It wasn't long before his lips curled back when he caught sight of a lioness with pinkish-red eyes.
"Well maybe she could do. Though, she looks a tad boring..."
Pondering, he rested his head upon his paws as he continued to watch her.
