Quote: At one point, Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, mentioned that the Nintendo 3DS would be receiving a firmware update that would make it capable of recording 3D videos. That update will be made available in November. Alongside 3D video-recording, more content will also be added to the system’s StreetPass Mii Plaza. We’ll report more details about the November firmware update as they become available. Read more stories about Nintendo 3DS on Siliconera. Sauce

This gon' be epic. I hope the streetpass update includes a mode where you move around a town Animal Crossing style. And every time you get a new streetpass you see a new house, or bigger house for the repeated streetpasses. Talk about an epic idea.

When I read about this earlier I freaked out. Film is my career so mixing my hobby with my career? That'd be classified as a win.

I wonder if this will include recording 3DS game play that can be uploaded to a computer.

Hopefully, it wont record laggy video because when I take pictures on my 3ds, it takes a sec to focus.

AriettaLi 3nodding Woot, 3D films of me jiggling my bootie in a mirrow. Watch my fat buns slap your faces ;3. I second Otiswashere... Epic nosebleed... Rubian Hopefully, it wont record laggy video because when I take pictures on my 3ds, it takes a sec to focus. That's a lighting issue, probably. If there isn't a well lit room, you won't get a good picture. Well lit as in: Not too dark, and not too bright. With the 3DS' camera, I'd say a desk-lamp would be good for static images, but if you were going to write a script for a 3D film, I'd definitely go to more mainstream places, such as a hospital, because they always have decent-good lighting. But, if you were taking it seriously, I'd scrap the 3DS' camera, unless you needed a scene to be in 480 (Standard Definition). Ah, the things my video production class has taught me. I do find it interesting that the 3DS has an auto white-balance feature though.
