Time once again for my totally biased report on soccer results. First, in the MLS, Real Salt Lake picked up a 2-1 win in Seattle. In England, Man U delivered a 5-0 thrashing in Bolton, while in Scotland, Celtic achieved a 4-0 victory at home over Motherwell. Real Madrid picked up a 4-2 home win over Getafe, Bayern Munich trampled and buried SC Freiburg 7-0 at home, AC Milan tied Lazio 2-2, and PSV Eindhoven and VVV Velno were tied 3-3. In Mexico, Cruz Azul lost to Morelia 1-0. Not a perfect weekend for my favorites, but still a good showing. Incidentally, AC Milan will be facing Barcelona in the opening week of the upcoming UEFA Champions League season.
