What is your opinion on 2012?
I believe its a 50/50 chance. If it does happen I believe that there will be a great change, I don't believe the world will explode. What I think will happen is the poles will shift, electronics may stop working due to this shift therefore sending us back into the old times, we will face many cataclysmic natural disasters. I also believe that the worlds on the other side of the veil will come together with ours once more and the days of myth will live again.
I have a friend who had a very realistic dream about everyone taking on their true forms (their true selves) and there being a war of the species.
What are your predictions and opinions?

The day will come and go like so many before it and nothing at all will happen.

The only reason why I think there is a chance of 2012 happening is because many seers, not just the mayan calendar, have seen a major shift in 2012 throughout the centuries, two I can think of at this moment are Nostradamus and Edgar Casey.I have heard that other seers and psychics of the past have also seen similar things to what Casey and Nostradamus have predicted. So I am thinking this one may not be a fluke, at least I'm not trying to call it the rapture on a day that I cannot think of has any importance. The date they have predicted is on the winter solstice, most know that this day has much power just like any other sabbat, but it also makes sense it would be the winter solstice. It is a time of endings and new beginnings.

Also, scientist have seen that our 10th planet, yes we do have a 10th, Nibiru will pass through our system around this time. Nibiru is said to pass around the sun once every 3600 years, if it came close enough to our planet it could disrupt the spin of the planet and cause the shift of the poles due to its strong gravitational pull. So the disasters and such are scientifically possible and if the planet does pass ours around the 2012 time, then the predictions aren't completely wrong.

My understanding is that the scientific community vehemently denies the existence of Nibiru.

I've heard many rumors about it and one that I have heard is something about the planets also aligning and something along those lines. But if something happens with people taking on their true forms then I think things would much more interesting but I don't think anything that drastic will change. And I believe that if everything goes back into old times it would only be for a brief moment since we have so many people that know so much about our electronics. The only problem people might have with the changes would be that they would have to pay to get their electronics upgraded to the new system in order for them to work. The only way I can see the world changing in any significant way is if something supernatural were to happen which does seem rather unlikely.

I will say this, if the natural disasters get bad, a lot of people are not gonna be here by the end of it. I just see that as mother natures way of thinning out our numbers, there are a lot of humans, so many that we have had a drastic effect on our environment around us. And I am willing to accept if I go during this time, if I'm not supposed to survive the rough changes of the world, I wont.

:/ I remember when I was a little kid and everyone was talking about how the world would end in the year 2000. And nothing happened. before that there was the Millerite Great Disappointment when William Miller said the world would end in 1844. And nothing happened. Hell, some people said the calendar had gone through so many changes and the world would REALLY end in 2006. And nothing happened. I don't think 2012 is going to be any different.
As Dara OBriain (my favorite comedian) sais, "Sure the Mayans made some accurate predictions. But they didn't predict the fall of their own civilization, did they?"
