It wasnt given to him of course, it was only expected of him, and he had to work hard to earn his place in the pack. He kept proving his worth up to the day his father died in a hunting incident, poachers wanting tiger fur had killed his father while he was in his true tiger form hunting for the pack. After that day Ryu took over for his father and kept the pack together. He was a good leader, like his father, however some members saw him as nothing more than an imitation, this often caused conflict, he is still trying to prove to them, he is now the leader. POSSIBLE IDEAS

Cat: i was thinking that on full moons it would grant them both full access to eachother's mind, like all their memories, thought worries
and durring this time ryu's sister starts getting suspicios and ryu knows it but doesnt want to alarm marissa
Yachi: Sounds like a good idea dear. Oh oh better...Maybe what it can be is that the only way they can get full access to each others minds is once they complete their mating...
Cat: sounds like a good idea, and another thing that marissa would find out after she gains access to his mind is a conversation he had with his sister, and that an arcadian tribe who is lead by the brother of the leader of the tribe that was exterminated is after ryu and out for vengencance
hmm, maybe
Yachi: What sorry confused...Do you mean there is a tribe with an alpha that was related to the alpha of the tribe that Marissa's father was a part of before he left and they all got slaughtered?
Cat: ok, and maybe on her next training mission she encounters a member of marissa's familly and accidentally lets her true identity slip?
Yachi: Would it be a training mission or an actual mission? Oh no wait...What if Ryu's sister is not only the head guard basically she is also like an ambassador to other packs?
Cat: thats an even better idea and it makes sense to, great idea yachi ^^
Cat: ok, so would we rp out part of her being an ambassador at the tribe marrissa is from?

cat: and i had an idea, agian (lol)
but instead of luna meeting one of maria's familly, darius needs to know if they are trust worthy and sends over 2 people he trusts there as ambassadors to spend a few days in their tribe and then report back to him to see if they are worth it, and one of the two people could be members of maria's familly, or both of them could
yachi: One could be her older brother the one that she loved that was like her...with a sentenil mark and everything...

Ryu Aidan HunterRyu slowly opened his eyes, he had gone ahead of the other to scout out food for the hunters. He looked down at his leg, he was bleeding and there was a metal device on his back left paw. It sent pain all up his leg, just moving it slightly hurt even more. He tried to stand up but only collapsed, he had triggered a poachers trap. He cursed himself for not seeing this device. He looked around, there was no signs of anyone around him, but that wouldnt stay that way. This kind of trap was built to last, the poachers that left it could be back anywhere from minutes to weaks, it was designed to hold whatever triggered it, whether or not they came to kill the animal or just let it bleed out was irrelevant to them, but not to Ryu.

Marissa Katra Darling
Marissa was walking around going only a few miles away from the cave she had been staying at when she sensed a great deal of pain to her left. Turning in the direction she slowly approached whatever it was that was in so much pain. Pausing in the brush she glanced at the male tiger that was caught in an all too familiar trap. Feeling the pain he was in Marissa took a slow breath and slowly made her way to the males side, not knowing yet that it was one such as her. Sending energy flowing into the male to try and keep him relaxed as she worked on removing his paw from the trap she allowed him to sense that she was not there to harm him, that she was there to actually help him. Once she was sure that the male tiger wouldn't attack her she moved to kneel on the ground to his side and reached out and lightly touched her fingers to his fur before allowing some of her energy to flow into him so that she would momentarily numb his back leg. "Don't worry dear, I'll get your leg out of the trap and heal you once I get you back to my temporary home." With those words said Marissa opened up the trap and removed his paw from it before allowing to to snap back shut. She then pulled out a large piece of cloth from her side bag and wrapping it around the wound. "Do you think you can follow me back to my cave? It isn't far from here and I can promise you once we reach it you won't have to move again until you are healed." Praying that he would be able to make it Marissa stood and waited to see if the male could follow her.

Ryu Aidan HunterRyu nodded to her. He managed to stand and shift most of his weight to his other legs. He wasnt sure what this woman was, but she got him out of the trap and offered to help him, so he followed her. It was obvious he was cut off from the rest of his pack for now, he just hoped he wasnt assumed dead. He winced in pain in bit, it wasnt as strong as before because she had numbed his leg. He was ding his best to stay balanced.

Marissa Katra Darling
Marissa smiled slightly as she watched the male tiger following behind her as they headed to her cave. It took only a few minutes to reach the cave and once they entered it she lit a few candles as she walked past them. Pointing to a pallet on the ground she waved the male towards it. "Lay down and rest and I'll work to heal your wound. But please, try not to attack me if it causes you pain. I do my best to take the pain from those I work on but I can't remove it all so you might feel a little." Waiting for the tiger to lay down on her pallet Marissa walked over to the pallet before removing her cloak and folding it and laying it at the head of the pallet as a pillow. She then removed her side bag from her shoulder and pulled out a few items that she would need. Taking her time to get everything ready she knelt down to the side of the tiger and her pallet and removed the cloth from the wound and examined it before taking out a few herbs and mixing them together in a bowl, turning the herbs into s paste of some kind. She then put the bowl on the ground and held her hands over the wound and closed her eyes as she softly chanted a few words in a melodic tone. As she spoke the wound slowly knitted itself back together causing the male some pain. Once she healed the wound as best as she could she took the paste and gently applied it to the wound. Once she was satisfied she knelt back and took a deep breath to allow her body to expel the extra energy that was left over from healing him. "Alright, your wound is healed for the most part. I'm sorry for the pain I caused you, but until it heals the rest of the way closed please be careful so as not to reopen it." With that Marissa took the bowl in her hands and stepped out of her cave to go to the small pound that was near the entrance. She rinsed out her bowl before walking back into the cave and sitting on the ground a few feet away from the male and leaned back against the wall and closed her eyes. She was tired but she knew that she was going to have to go out hunting for food for herself and the male tiger. She just wanted to relax for a little before doing so.

Ryu Aidan HunterRyu layed there. She was right, the leg going back together hurt a lot, but he refrained from attacking, he understood she was just trying to help him. he looked at her. Her scent was familliar, even though they had never met, he could tell they were most likely of the same species, so if this was true she would understand anything he said. "Thank you for helping me" He said looking at her hopeing she understood him.

Marissa had just started to dose of when she heard a deep male voice that caused her to jump slightly. Blinking her eyes open she looked about the interior of the cave not seeing anyone other then the male tiger. "That can't be good. I'm starting to hear things now." she whispered to herself, though she knew on some level the tiger would be able to hear her. Slowly standing up and stretching Marissa moved about the cave preparing to go out and hunt for their meals. "Though I do not know who you are voice inside of my head you are welcome even though I do not know what I have done to help you." Looking over to the tiger she smiled slightly before speaking with a chuckle to her voice. "I'm sorry dear, I'm afraid you are stuck with someone that seems to be going crazy, hearing voices in her head. Though for now it should be safe, I'm going to go out and hunt, I hope your hungry." Marissa was just getting ready to take back her cloak when she paused and through to herself, Why am I bothering taking this, I'm just going to be in tiger form, a form that needs no cloak. "Do not worry I won't be taking my cloak, you can continue to use it as a pillow if you wish." Standing back up Marissa takes a few moments to see if she would need anything else while she was out.

As Marissa heard the voice again she froze, doing so in a way that was common for their kind. Looking about without moving a muscle she then slowly glanced at the tiger as she listened to the words being spoken. "You are a Tigarian Katagaria like me?" Shaking her head slightly Marissa sat down on the ground where she had paused when she had started to hear the voice again. She looked up at the male before lowering her gaze to the ground as she spoke. "I knew there were more of my kind, but in the many years I have been searching for a new pack I have yet to run across any." She couldn't fathom what this could mean and she couldn't allow herself to get any hopes so before she did so she forced her mind away from those thoughts and focused on all the male was saying. "You are welcome dear. I am a healer and enchantress, so it is my duty to help those in need. Though I do wish to say sorry once more for causing you undue pain by healing the wound. I just figured you would wish to get back to your pack as quickly as possible." At his introduction Marissa gave a bow of her head to acknowledge him. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you, though I am sure you would have rather it been under less painful of circumstances. My name is Marissa. Since I now know you are a Katagaria I know that it should be a day if not less before you are fully healed and by then you may leave to return to to your pack."
((OOC: This is what a Katagaria is...born as animals and lived as animals, yet once they reached puberty, when their magical powers were unlocked by their hormones, they would be able to become human- at least externally. Their animal hearts would always govern their actions.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter"I would rather deal with some pain in the process of being healed than being stuck in that trap until I bleed to death." he said smiling. "You don't have a pack?" He asked her, "what happened to make you loose your pack, you don't seem like you would turn on your own kind, or commit anything horrible." Ryu said, she seemed like a very kind woman, someone that they could use in their pack.

Marissa gave a slightly bitter laugh at his question and words. But before speaking she hid all of her feelings behind a mask she always wore when around others like her, though to be honest she hadn't been around many. "Oh I'm not. You can be kicked from your back for more reasons then you could even think. They don't have to be something negative either." She remained where she had stopped as she glanced to the floor before looking back up to the male in his tiger form. "I was kicked from my pack by our alpha because she saw me as a threat. She feared I would try and take leadership from her and her mate though all I had ever wanted to do was be a healer and help those in my pack. When she accused me of certain things, which I might say I had never done, my own family turned on me. I had not left willingly they would have all helped to kill me." Sighing Marissa shook her head slightly as she tried to dislodge those memories from her mind. She didn't like remembering that day, she would much rather remember the days when everyone had been kind to her. The days when everyone trusted her to help heal them or tend to any illness. "Now, back to what was said before, are you hungry at all Ryu? I was actually out hunting when I came across your pain and followed it to you." Standing up she looked around before picking up the shoes she had slipped off her feet after tending to the tigers wound.

Ryu Aidan Hunter"Actually yes, i was out hunting when i had got caught in their trap, i was scouting ahead for the other hunters. I can only hope i am not assumed dead." Ryu said looking at her. We dont have many healers in our pack, and not even our best is nearly a** good as this woman, she would be of great help. he thought to himself as he laid there and watched her. "Again, thank you for saveing me, im sure i can make it up to you." he said to her wiht the intention of offering her a permanent spot in the pack whether or not the older members liked it or not.

Marissa smiled slightly and nodded her head fully understanding what he said. "Well once your leg is fully healed you should be able to return to your pack. The healing won't take much longer, another day at most. But while you are resting is there anything you would rather eat?" Marissa stretched again slightly before looking to the male on her pallet. "There is no need to thank me Ryu, healing is what I do and had I not helped you I would not be worthy of my title. Do not worry yourself over trying to pay me back. I just ask that you tell no one of me so that I can live in peace. I have been hunted enough by those in my previous pack that I would like to avoid running for my life again."
