 Spencer sighed as he padded through the woods, two rabbits already fastened to his harness. He may not race anymore, but the sled harness still came in handy for other things. Well, when it wasn't getting caught on every freaking branch he came within a foot from.
Anyway, Spencer sighed. A lot had been on his mind lately, namely a certain vixen. Such a spoiled little brat! She had used him for a freaking trophy... she had made him race again... No, she had made him want to race again. And he had. And he won. And he thought he won a mate as well... What had happened between them? He couldn't remember anymore. All he knew was he'd never race again. Ever. Not for any vixen, no matter how pretty she was. Vixens were cold-blooded creatures, like their hearts were made of the snow under his paws.
Well, ok, so Ash had been pretty cool, but she was a Phim. It was in her nature. Unfortunately it was the spoiled brat Glacie he'd fallen for. Maybe one day he'd be able to move past her... Maybe.

 Holly made her way through the forest. It had been a wile since she had eaton so she felt a little weak. The last time she tried to hunt she wasn't strong enough to catch her prey. She was only able to go a little ways before she ended up giving up or rather just colapsing to the ground. She had a feeling she wasn't going to get anything when she wasn't much of a hunter to begin with. Sighing she stopped for a moment and looked up at a small water hole in front of her. She licked her dry lips and weakly made her way over. Hopefully with a little water she might be ready a willing to try hunting again. If she didn't catch something soon she didn't know what she would do.

It was almost dusk when Spencer caught the scent of another fox. Normally he wouldn't have given two tails about it, but something about the scent made him want to check it out. There was... a weakness about it.
If it wasn't for the red bow on her tail, he might not even have seen her. The vixens pale green coat seemed to blend in with the holly bushes around a small pond of sorts. Moving closer, quiet on his paws, he noticed something disturbing about this particular cold-blooded vixen: He could see her ribs.
Ok, even if she bit his head off or got all snippy like females were prone to do, he was going to give her one of his rabbits. Or, heck, maybe both if she could eat them. Moving closer again, he padded heavily so she'd hear his approach. "Good evening, miss."

Once she made it to the waters edge she began to drink form the cool water hole. Wile she was drinking she found her self un able to back away from the water. The more she drank the more it seemed to fill her up. Even though it did she knew it wouldn't last for long. If she didn't get food into her belly she knew she wouldn't survive. Sighing she pulled away from the water finally and licked the water from her lips. She was about to pull away when she heard the nose of approaching paws. She turned her head and spotted a male not to far off and when he spoke he seemed nice.
"H... hello..." She said weakly then looked from him to the water. "i'm sorry... did you want to drink from here?" She moved out of the way for him.

Hm. Well, Spencer had to admit she was polite. However... It was just a matter of seconds before she caught scent or smell of the rabbits on his harness, and she looked hungry enough to either steal or beg. Either way, at least one of the fluffy food stuffs was hers, he'd already decided.
When he took a look at the water hole, he did have to admit he was thirsty, and he padded forward to take a drink. The water was quite refreshing, and he closed his eyes to enjoy it.

When the male didn't speak she had to admit she got a little nervous. Then again she was use to others not talking to her. Most of the time she was ignored. She wasn't sure if it was her colors or her mods that seemed to make her seem more agressive then she was. She was a nice person... really. She found her self blushing at the fact that she assumed she was a nice person. What if she really wasn't? What if others didn't like being around her because of the way she acted? That seemed to take her mind off of the hunger until she caught the sent of the rabbits the male had. She could see them hanging off his harness. Fighting the temptation to become a beger she quickly looked away. She wasn't about to stoop that low. She was taught that begging put you even lower then dirt. She found looking away made it better to concentrate.
"Again im sorry... I didn't mean to block the water hole..." With that she stood as best she could then made her way toward the forest again. The male seemed to have good luck and the rabbits seemed fresh. Maybe she would get lucky... that or maybe she could fint a stream or river near by. She was always better at fishing then hunting.

Hm? She walked away. She didn't beg, ask, steal, didn't even lick her chops. Maybe... Maybe not all vixens were selfish.
Spencer swallowed his last mouthfull of water and turned to watch her walk away. She was a pretty vixen, he had to admit. That soft green gave a gentle balance to the red, and the patterns complemented her quite well in the way she held herself. What really caught his attention, though, were her eyes. When she had spoken to him, he noticed the golden color and the sad look behind them.
Oh, oops. He lost himself in thought for a second, and the vixen was still walking off. "Hey."

Holly almost walked out of ear shot but luckly she didn't. she stopped for a moment when she heard the male call for her. Did he call for her or was she hearing things? That tended to happen when she hadn't eaton in a wile. Oh she had hopped she wasnt hearing things. It would be nice to talk to another fox for a change. She had been all alone for a wile... turning she looked back at the male. He was facing her. That was a good sign that he had been talking to her. She almost wanted to smile but for some reason she couldn't find her smile.
"Yes...?" She asked weakly. "Did... did u call me?" She looked nervous. "If not i apologize... i... i can some times hear things when im not feeling good... oh... not that im complaining... mm..." She blushed a little. "Sorry..." She was rambling again.

Self-conscious much? This vixen didn't seem to be very confident in herself, but then again she also looked like she was about to fall over.
"Complain all you want, Babe." The sledfox padded up to the vixen, unfastening a rabbit from his harness. "But at least eat something first." He tossed the rabbit at her paws, then sat down and looked at her again. It was in his nature to take care of girls, he couldn't help it. He took care of his mother when his dad was away racing, he took care of his sisters when they were sick or injured, he took care of Glacie as long as she let him. It was a mans place, he believed, to make the girl happy. A vixen was a nurturer, a male was a provider and protector.
Right now, he had no problem providing for this girl here.

"Oh..." She blushed when she heard the work babe. Did he just call her babe? She could feel red creeping across her cheeks. Oh he did didn't he? No male had ever called her that before. She did her best to remain calm and not make things worse by becoming a giggling fool. This was the longest conversation she had with a male... if you could call it that. "Hm?" She then looked up when he tossed her the rabbit. "Oh my..." She looked up at him a little surprised. "Are... are you sure? I mean... you took the time to catch this... this is yours... i... I don't wan't to take it away from you..."

...Really? Spencer's eyes narrowed and he allowed a smirk to cross his face. He had half a mind to go shove that rabbit in her mouth himself to make her eat. Would she really rather be polite and starve? This girl... she must have had a rough time in her own life. Spencer felt a little... a little less indifferent toward her at the thought.
"How can you take something away from me when I just threw it at your paws?" Spencer shook his head and sighed, trying not to chuckle. "Just eat the rabbit, silly girl!"

"Um..." Holly thought about it. He had a point. You cant really take something away if it was offered to you. "Oh... I guess your right about that..." She blushed feeling silly for saying what she did now. "So... I guess it wouldn't really be taking it away from you..." She smiled then began to eat the rabbit. Only when she started she found herself devouring the thing faster then she thought.

Now Spencer chuckled. She had started out with table manners, then she fell on it like a starving animal. Well, she was a starving animal!
Spencer unfastened the second rabbit, putting it in front of her and nudging it closer, careful not to get his paw caught in her teeth. Poor darling... "Eat up, babe. I can always get more~" Even now, he could smell a terrified rabbit lurking in the bushes. "Matter of fact..." With a short growl Spencer shot off after the rabbit, coming back quickly with it dangling in his jaws and his chest swelling in pride. And his stomach grumbling in hunger. Oh yeah. He'd forgotten to eat himself!
That's ok, he'd wait till she had her fill.

She continued to eat her fill even when he had placed the second rabbit for her to eat. Once she was finished she smiled and sat down. She felt a lot better now that she had something in her stomach. Licking her lips she looked up at the male that was standing near her and blushed.
"Um... excuse me..." She chuckled apologizing for her maners when she was eating. "Thank you for the food." She then realized he had another rabbit in his mouth and blinked. When did he catch another one? She had remembered him having two before.
