A nice cool evening spent at home. He didn't go out tonight, he'd been doing well enough in energy collecting and could afford a night off in his opinion. Tonight would be that night off, spent at home The side sections of his bay window were open, allowing the cool night air to sweep into his room and fill it with that scent which only such a night could produce. Light flickered, due to the breeze sweeping in, an orange color about his room, throwing deep shadows about the room that danced and writhed.
Moving about the candle lit room was Alexandre. From his closet he moved toward his desk where his laptop lay open and waiting for him to do something with it. But what? What did he want to do online right now? He'd already seen the news and while he could read a book or play some music neither seemed...as busy as he felt like being. Perhaps it was all the energy he'd been expending lately but he wanted to be busy.
Moving past a candle he stopped and leaned in to sniff. His room had been infused with the natural smells of the night breeze but also the soft scent of forest rain which was provided by the dozen or so candles burning away in his room. From jar candles to smaller candles in holders his room was filled with the scent they provided via some manufacturer.
Finally he seemed to settle for the idea that he had nothing else to do. His parents were both asleep and he wanted a peaceful night at home tonight, who knows how many of them he'd get and when the next would be. Seating himself, slowly, the blond leaned back into his seat for a moment before shifting and drawing his legs up indian style, one leg propped up against an arm rest, the other poked through the open space between the seat and the arm rest.
Time to just surf the web, maybe look up for recipes for salves and other things? He could look more up, from various websites and try each one out. He'd see which ones worked best, but how best to complete that? Find people to test them out on? But who...? Pulling up firefox he started his hunt for information, typing in google.com he did this multiple times, so he had firefox open four times and each one was open to google.com. Searching each one using different search words. While skimming the first sites search results he raised a hand to brush loose blond hair from his face, he'd taken his hair holder out for the evening. Without the hair holder, which he wore in at all times during the day, his blond hair hung about his face making him look less masculine; it was why he always wore it tied back.

Had she been meaning to come to his house? Dahlia couldn't quite pinpoint whether it was a subconcious urge or mere coincidence that had brought her to the familiar neighborhood. But once she'd realized where she was she didn't hesitate to peek in on the boy who had offered his home to her.
It was late and she'd been productive, the cat was still quite high on the pride of her latest success. So taking the night off... it wasn't such a bad thing. Creamy white paws drew her through the neighborhood until his house came into view.
Pleased to see his window not darkened, but instead flicking with the soft glow of candles, she decided to stop in, taking advantage of the open window. It took a few hops and creative steps to get onto and through the window but once there she was greeted with a delightful scent and atmosphere. Her tail twitched, ears perked curiously as she found him... on the computer? She'd almost expected something else given the atmosphere.
She let loose with a loud purr, hoping to gather his attention as she settled into the window, sillouted against the darkness. "Not working too hard now, are we?"

Startled by the voice, giving a jolt, the blond spun, chair and all, to look at the cat seated in his window. "No, I thought a work-less night would be nice. I've been productive the past few nights, I saw no harm in taking a night off." Shifting in his seat he kept his gaze on the cat in his window-way, as opposed to door way.
"Why don't you come in and find a comfortable place." One hand raised and made a sweeping gesture of invitation to the cream colored cat. He really should thank her for turning up tonight, she gave him something to do and occupy his time with. God he sounded bad, at least in his own mind. He wanted the night off but he needed something to do at the same time.
"Can I get you anything, food, water?" He asked suddenly, thinking of his manners and the need to do something more, anything more. "Your bed hasn't moved from it's place, though you can also lay on my bed." Or the padded seat of his bar window sill. Shifting again, ready to get up, his slate eyes watching Dahlia. "I have, in your bed, a new catnip toy for you." He'd done his best to shape the hand stitched toy like a mouse.

"Of course. Everyone needs a little time for some fun." Certainly work was important, the negaverse wasn't particularly lenient on slackers... but all work and no play... it didn't bode well for someone's sanity. Everyone needed some time to unwind, and Dahlia embraced this fact.
She had been eyeing his bed mildly deciding where she wanted to lay when he mentioned the handmade toy, and her mind was made up for her. It took only a few graceful, leaping strides for her to bound from the window to her bed, circling it a few times before settling down onto the cushion.
"I wouldn't turn down something delicious" She mused as she poked at the little mouse softly, before grasping it with her claws, lifting it to her nose. Her whiskers twitched, nose scrunching at the intoxicating scent, the soft sway of her tail a sign of her contentment. It really WAS too bad Benitoite preferred males, his sort of spoiling was a wonderful treat. The sort that likely would have been complete and utter devotion if things were different. It was alright though, she was already grateful for the pampering she got now.
Shifting comfortably on the soft pillow, a low purr began to rattle from her. Between the scent and soft flicker of the candles and subtle scent of catnip Dahlia was in heaven. What a perfect way to spend an evening.

A night every so often, free of duties aside from those provided by himself or school, would be very nice. "Yes, indeed. If time off is not taken, at some points in time, one can drown in duties. Plus if I spend every night fulfilling all the things I must...I will surely have a breakdown and be utterly useless." He'd been thinking about that. He had realized there was no way he could collect energy every single evening, or even replace energy draining with battle training. Maybe that senshi's advice was good for one thing, deciding to rewrite his schedule of things.
Watching the cream cat make her way, ever so gracefully, to her own bed he smiled softly. Leaning back in his seat as his legs unfolded slowly. "Anything in mind you'd prefer? You've seen the contents of the fridge before." He spoke. He'd taken it upon himself to wander downstairs one night with her, comfortably in his arms. Seeking something for her he'd decided to play show and ask, basically showing her what was in the fridge and asking what she wanted. Most of the items she'd seen then were normal items found all the time, unless they ran out of something suddenly.
Perhaps it was too bad that he preferred his own gender, it wasn't easy really. But maybe that was a good thing, maybe not. But he was the sort to indeed pamper, at least in private.
Turning to his laptop he pulled up iTunes and put on some music, his preferred classical. It might be odd for a teenager to like classical but it was calming and it went with the mood, which he liked to create for himself. One of his favorite pieces came gently over the speakers, the dance of the sugar plum faeries. It seemed Dahlia was a very happy cat right now, and the sight of her getting comfortable brought a smile to the teens lips.
"Care to tell me what brought you here? Not that I don't enjoy your company." He enjoyed her company to say the least. If he could, and he likely could, he'd seek to ask her to remain here as his cat, But he didn't think it was her way.

"Aptly put." She agreed to his wisdom, as it echo'd her own thoughts.
Her paws and claws were gently poking and pulling at the fabric of the toy, not really attempting to take it apart, just tugging. It made the scent of the catnip stronger and it felt good stretching her nail. Perhaps she'd actually go hunting tommorow.. it was something she hadn't done in awhile.
Speaking of hunting and food... "Meat. Some kind of fowl perhaps if you have it." Chicken, turkey, duck, quail.. any kind of bird would do. Chunks or slices.
Music came over the speakers of his laptop, filling the room with soft classical. It was something Dahlia could appreciate, stretching further out. If she wasn't careful she might just doze off before too long. That whole thing about soothing a savage beast... well it often turned out to be quite true, especially softer sorts of music.
Her had a question for her though and her ear twitched, eyes opening to look at him thoughtfully. "Tonight..? Nothing really, I was just in the area and had the urge. You offered me your home from time to time and it is very much my favorite so far. Well.. not just your home." She laughed gently, the sound eventually fading into a purr.

Thinking, rather quickly, of what sorts of meat were in the fridge. They had some left over chicken. It was seasoned well, with a sauce made of white wine. She should like it, he'd just put it into a skillet to reheat as opposed to a microwave. Standing he bent to pet the cream cat before heading for his door.
"Of course, I enjoy your company." He was merely curious, especially about the idea that there might have been some other reason behind the visit. Finding no reason, aside from her being in the area and his house open to her, he smiled softly.
"When I get back...I have another question for you, regarding a cell phone of mine. Nothing wrong, of course." He just finally was giving in to his curiosity about what business she'd needed it for, not that he doubted her reason in the least. She wouldn't lie to him, surely not. Watching her comfortable form he couldn't help the wide, soft, smile. the music was a nice addition, he liked to relax like this whenever he could. It seemed she did as well, that was nice and good to know.
"Glad to know you fancy me so much that you'll keep coming back, and keep me company. Now I'm going to get you something to eat." His bedroom door opened gently and the teen padded down the hall and down stairs.

He was acting a little.. strange. Not bad strange really.. perhaps curious at the most. Nonetheless Dahlia had a momentary worry that the boy might have thought she was just using him. Which was vaguely true.. but she was 'just' doing that. She was geniunely fond of the boy, and she had not lied about enjoying his company.
She became ecspecially worried when he brought up the phone. Had Falco attempted to call back!? No no.. he would have known she wasn't some girl when the corruption had gone down if that were the case.
He didn't seem angry though.. perhaps it was just curiousity. Settling once more comfortably, she let her eyes slide closed as she awaited his return.
Why was she even that worried in the first place? Ever since her mauvian self had been awakened Dahlia had been gifted with a fairly silver tongue. Surely whatever was wrong.. she could talk herself out of it, right?

He'd never think she was using him, he trusted those he'd met within the Negaverse thus far. None had given him reason not to trust them, Dahlia included. It was simply him being curious, and the whole issue of school coming up and his own personal teenage issues. The candles, music, and cool night air, was his attempts to modify his mood and calm his mind. It was true he liked to relax like this whenever he could. But he knew these nights would be few and far between with duty and such surrounding him and filling his hours awake.
The thought was to spend what free nights he had like this. The time in between them would hopefully, due to nights such as this, be able to be calm and paced accordingly. He didn't want to rush thought his days and forget or neglect things. So he was trying to alter his mood, to set himself in a proper mental state in order to accomplish the next few days tasks with a level head. There was no way yet to know if it would work.
When he did arrive back in his room, food for Dahlia and himself, he smiled softly at the cat. She was nice to have around, a comfort in her own right. The food smelled good, especially now that it had been reheated. Setting a plate down, on the clean carpet of his room, for Dahlia he took his seat again. His own plate set on his desk.
"Don't think I don't mind you using my phone, you can use it whenever you need. I was simply wondering about who you called and why? I didn't think you'd talk to people who you couldn't talk to in person." Other officers and enlightened senshi. "I'm just assuming it was someone outside of our own, and that has me curious." Picking up his fork to spear himself some food.

She didn't actually fall asleep in the time he was gone, not that she couldn't have.. she was a cat afterall. Cats naps were a fairly common occurance in her days. But she remained awake, just relaxing for the few minutes he was gone, her ears shifting a little as the song switched from one to the next, listening to the bird like trill of a flute.
The smell of food making it's way towards her opened her eyes and she was on the floor almost as quickly as the plate was settled before her, tail swishing with happy interest to see what he'd brought. Not just some plain old old chunks of chicken, which she would have been perfectly content with, but well seasoned and sauced beautifully. Not the thing someone often offered to cat. A loud purr rattled through her as she leaned down to snag the first piece.
Her attention turned back to him as the question came up again, licking and cleaning sauce from her maw as she considered the words. Did she really want to tell him that she'd used his phone simply to play flirty flirt with some human she was dying to talk to? No.
But... something had come of the conversation.. something as productive as she'd originally claimed her phonecall to be. It couldn't hurt to tell him that. She was pretty proud of herself and her success after all, and there was never too much stroking of your own ego in her opinion.
So after a moment she spoke, voice thoughtful. "It was actually someone I couldn't talk to regularly... A potential man I'd met when I was out and about that I thought would make a good addition to the Negaverse. I couldn't talk to him in person of course so I thought a phonecall would be a good way to test him out."
Her tail swayed up in the air above her back like a periscope, something that looked almost like a smile on her maw. "I should thank you actually. It turned out to be quite a success and I don't think it would have worked without that bit of extra work."
"Lt Realgar" There was a slight weight in the way she said his name before leaning back down to take another bite from her plate.

She'd thought of using his phone to find someone, to recruit. How interesting, and clever. If she wanted her ego stroked he was a person to come to, at least for her. He fancied the cats personality and found himself enjoying her company whenever he was graced with it.
Facing her as he listened he nodded his head a smile forming. "Than I should say I was more than pleased to lend an assist, even if I wasn't aware at the time. If it's brought us a new member, and one you see as capable, than it was a very good thing that I helped." Even if in a very slight way.
No one could say she didn't deserve the pampering she got from him, not when she'd brought a new member into the Negaverse and one she saw was a good addition. He didn't think Dahlia the sort to settle for anyone other than the best, most qualified. She seemed picky, but that was a good thing.
"Tell me, how did he take being brought to our side? I'd like to know about this new member." Not that he wasn't new himself, but he wasn't that green. He was curious though, he didn't know many members and wanted to know whatever he could about the various members. His own food finally found it's way to his mouth as he ate slowly, observing the cream colored feline standing on his floor eating. She certainly made things more interesting, talking cats you can call your friend. Not something normal in any way. And she knew people he didn't, knew things he didn't. And she had good taste and was easy to talk to.

Her tail gave an approving swish as he spoke, excentuating her pleasure that he wasn't upset, and rather that he was taking credit in what tiny part he'd played. In her opinion modesty had no place in a military environment and now that things had turned out well, she was perfectly alright with sharing the glory a little bit with both Zinkenite and Alexandre.
"How did he take it..?" It was a strange question.. but not a totally inappropriate one. She was silent for a moment, but obviously thinking about her response, taking another bite of her food.
When the chewing had subsided she spoke once more. "He was surprised I suppose. Didn't really know exactly what was going on.. or why a cat was talking to him."
"BUT we did not have to force him or anything either. We simply offered the oppurtunity to him and when he agreed General Zinkenite did his magic."
She didn't really know if Benitoite and Realgar would get along together. Whether their tactics and personalities would mesh in any good way. But that was something to be seen. And Dahlia of course.. would hardly mind spending a night with the two of them as company. Perhaps they could even do something bigger and grander then what one could do alone.
Pawing the edge of the plate mildly, slowly spinning it so that the remaining food was now easier for her to reach she mused softly... candidly. "He's older than you. And he has a ruthlessness about him that is commendable. I have no doubts that he'll do everything necessary to get the job done." Her eyes had lifted.. almost whistfully as she thought about the poor man with a cat crushing on him.
When they returned to Alexandre she smiled a little. "You are both different.. but at the same time you both have a passion for the job and for the Negaverse that is the same. Passion is very important."

"Mmm, I was offered as well. It wasn't an offer I would have turned down, not after I learned a little of what I was being offered." Not about power, he hadn't been brought in with a promise of power. It was the ability to protect his own freedom, and that of the people who couldn't do so themselves, which had brought him to the negaverse. It was a good motivator, that was for sure.
"I was surprised the first time you spoke to me...." More thoughtful, as he thought back on that night. "No one had told me cats could talk, though I wasn't so surprised...given the whole war going on." And magic and all of that. Though he'd still been surprised, there was really no way not to be surprised. He was sure there would be more in this new world which would surprise him, like the youma had. They had become a soft spot in his heart, and quickly so.
"I'm sure a lot of members are older than me. I'm not bothered by that. Though it is a nice fact to know. If you have no doubt than that's good, I trust your judgement as you know this person." While she said this new member was ruthless he knew he himself wasn't. He couldn't be, it just wasn't in him to be. Maybe in time, and with the right motivations. But it wasn't likely. "If we were exactly the same it would be boring. The differences keep us different people and able to of course serve in different ways." A smile flickered across his features.
"Mmm, indeed. Passion means the job gets done, and right." A bite of food and a hum of pleasure to go with it. Perhaps it would be interesting for them to meet and work together, if only for one evening. He did wonder about that, was it worth it?

"Maybe that's the trick then, to simply find those who want to join." She offered thoughtfully as he gave the information. It was actually a good theory... Maybe the wishy washy ones... the members of their group full of attitude and no much drive.. maybe they were ones simply forced into the task? "I know we are always hungry for bodies but maybe we'd be better off with fewer numbers as long as those members are dedicated and driven and want to join?" She was just thinking aloud really.. but it made sense to her.
He gained a soft laugh when he admitted his own surprise the first time she'd spoke to him, an amused but not unkind sound. He really had taken their first meeting well all things considered then.
"Age doesn't matter so much. We need some of every type you are quite right. Teens can get into places that adults can not. And some adults have good things they can offer. Realgar for instance is a teacher... which gives him a good oppurtunity to scout out new recruits."
"But you're right, in the end it's passion and experience that get the job done. Hopefully this war won't be a very long one. We're headed in the right direction. I just know it."

"It would make some sense. Though it seems numbers play a big role in this. The senshi have big numbers and each one possessing magic. If we could use both ideas, numbers and those who want to join, perhaps we'd be doing a trifle better than we are. Find people, in mass, who wish to join. Those who wouldn't want someone else robbing them of their freedoms, or their loved ones." He'd used the word robbing on purpose. He'd twice been compared to a bank robber. But the senshi wished for the freedom of Earth's people, weather they knew the end goal or not. So he'd decided to label them as robbers.
"I'd say one good thing an adult can offer is the ability to get in to places we teenagers cannot, but also life experiences that we haven't." He spoke, thinking of how easily a certain blond haired news reporter could put him in line. It was that fatherly feel to him and that tone of voice.
"I hope your right. It would be good for all involved, easier to try and rejoin normal civilian society." Which he suspected for some would be difficult, for others not so much. It was something war did though.
"And if you can bring some...on the fence senshi to our side it wouldn't hurt things." He spoke, smiling down at the cat. Senshi and cat's had a relationship. It was something she could, and should, consider also. "I'm sure there are some we could shake loose of the senshi's hold." Thinking of a particular senshi he wanted to try and bring over. Though it may fail, even if he could force them to join. The lack of passion and loyalty could do it. In that case it was at least one senshi not on that side, even if they didn't fight with their side either. It was something he'd discussed with Painite, and would talk with her further in the future.
