the S U R F A C E of the mask Character Name: Sum. He prefers not to be called by a name, even though he remembers his old human name, but will make exceptions depending on the context of the situation. Calling out to him by name in the middle of a crowd is tolerable, calling him by name in a one-on-one conversation is not - he knows who he is.
Type: Pokemon
Species: Yamask
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 2"
Age: 28 (at death) Extra Notes: With his now-natural ghostly psychic abilities but what can be described to be an unstable mind and perspective, when Sum goes out of control, he sometimes creates visual "ripples" and ghostly illusions that distort his appearance to other viewers - an outward expression of his inner instability. Although he won't look significantly different, the warping is often noticeable and at that point it may be wise to back away from him.
Extra Notes: One other thing to note is Sum's way of speaking; his words are -- eloquent but distorted, as if by radio static and different vocal samples with different pitches and expressions from the same speaker. That's not to say that he stutters; rather, it is as if multiple voices are speaking all at once. They are all his voice(s) mind you, and he recognizes himself (that is, he's not schizophrenic or uncertain of his identity - yet), but it is simply another outward expression of his inner state of being, this time of the mixture of emotions he's feeling.
Nature:xxxxBold xxxxxxxxxxxx1. adj. Not hesitating to break the rules of propriety; forward; impudent; immodest. xxxxxxxxxxxx2. adj. Imaginative in thought or expression. xxxxxxxxxxxxPreferences: Likes sour, dislikes spicy.
Ability:xxxxMummy xxxxxxxxxxxxWhen the user is attacked by a contact move, the opposing Pokémon's Ability is turned into Mummy as well.
Skill Set: xxxMean Look - DON'T youYOU walk away from thisthisthis deBATE! xxxxxxxxxxxxPrevents the foe from switching out.
Skill Set: xxxCurse - This-this is going to HURT. It's going to hurt you MOREmore-more. xxxxxxxxxxxxThe user loses half of its max HP to put a curse on the target. The target loses ¼ of its max HP at the end of each turn.
Skill Set: xxxPayback - DO you understand my PAINpainpain now? xxxxxxxxxxxxInflicts damage. Its power doubles to 100 if the user attacks after the target, or if the target switches out.
Skill Set: xxxProtect - THIS is my mismisMISSION. Don't you dare STOP me-ME. xxxxxxxxxxxxProtects the user from all effects of moves that target it during the turn it is used, including damage.

the F A C E under the mask Personality:
Personality: xxxREDEMPTION is the ga-gameGAME, the pri-prize is HEAVENLY SLUMBER. VICvictory, or wheTHER I truly want it, IS UNCERTAIN... xxxxxxxxxxxxIn more ways than one, Sum is stuck in a sort of limbo, purgatory, or living hell where the punishment is repetition until he can cleanse himself of his past deeds as a human - it's... what he believes, anyway (but Sum believes a lot of rather questionable things). He's lived multiple lives now and is about to begin another, a second chance at being something human-like thanks to Musharna. Yet, while clearly his ultimate goal is redemption, finding the clearing at the end of the road, resting in peace - his heart does not seem to be quite entirely set on it just yet.
xxxxxxxxxxxxSum is -- well, more humanly flawed than he might allow himself to believe. The easiest way to say this is that he gets side-tracked, tempted by the sinful pleasures of un-life even in his quest for Heaven, and often. It seems that he is really only beginning to break out of the mindset he had when he died; there is change, but little of it to note - he might be kinder now than he was before, as he's recognized that he's been wrong on some levels, but hasn't acted much on it - there is still an obvious lack of humility in regards to philosophical and intellectual matters, a taste for schadenfreude, spiteful vengeance, and a dying but still smoldering hate for society that he cannot seem to place a source or reason to. That is best attributed to a drive to change the world that simply disappeared, misplaced and forgotten in the course of the man's revolution, which subsequently grew mindlessly angry and drove itself and its creator to destruction (a revolutionary driven into the mires of tyranny as a result of a forgotten noble purpose, if I may go off of Camus).
xxxxxxxxxxxxQuite frankly, even he may not be sure whether he really wants to find eternal, peaceful slumber or not - there is a want but he hasn't found or remembers any reason why there is a want, beyond that it might be nice or because the want for Heaven had been drilled into his head for so long as a young human. Most days, he really wants to find peace - other days, he just feels like screwing around and making people angry because he wantsto "level the playing field" and nothing more. Much like his more literal revolution for Pokemon liberation when he was alive, he has forgotten the reason for his goal of redemption even though he ruthlessly chases after it many days, simply because he just wants to finish what he started.
xxxxxxxxxxxxIn short, he has long-term goals in mind but has forgotten the reasons why he started in the first place, which makes him fairly susceptible to distractions and his old, cruel habits - that, and he just is amused enough by the material world enough to make him be uncertain of whether he truly wants to leave it behind or not.
Personality: xxxFOR youYOUyou might call THIS disposition of mineMINE ARROGANT, butyouarejustINFERIOR. Be the better THINKER, huMAN, if you believe OTHERwise. xxxxxxxxxxxxIn his human lifetime, Sum prided himself on his intellectual capacity and debating ability; books were his closest friends and nothing quite matched the heart-pounding thrill of defeating someone in a debate. That said, he - even now - has a tendency to look down on people he deems "simple" or otherwise non-intellectual, and even more so on humans because he is a Pokemon now, who understands what it was like to be human; his standards for people are set fairly high and he expects others to at least attempt to use their minds to their full capacity, even though he is constantly disappointed. He is slightly more lenient about this toward children, other Pokemon, and Pokemon-made-human, but only slightly.
xxxxxxxxxxxxWhile open-minded to new ideas with backup and sound reason, Sum is still very close-minded in a way, as he often measures others by his idea of intelligence and not by their own strengths, weaknesses, and/or personal talents, and only seems to respect or take advice from those he deems wiser or more knowledgeable than him. In a sort of way he can be considered an "armchair philosopher" or "armchair anthropologist", making judgments about other people based on the books he's read; after all, even thousands of books and language cannot entirely communicate definitely the nature of all life and reality.
xxxxxxxxxxxxWith a strong point in humanities and a taste for puzzles, paradoxes, and the metaphysical, but terribly arrogant and hardly "human" himself, Sum flaunts his mental capacity (which is likely far smaller than he thinks it is) even if it's often unintentional - he will gladly ramble off a whole lecture on something if someone asks (or actually, scratch that - he'll lecture whenever the hell he feels like lecturing, just to make himself feel better). Yet, while he will happily lecture and critique others, unless the critique is coming from someone he respects, Sum himself does not yield to others' opinions and very few - if any - corrections.
Personality: xxx'Tis not-NOT WITH RUTHLESSness, you see - this ISis DETERMINATION. Sa-sa-sacRIFICE is NECESsary. xxxxxxxxxxxxSum is almost always looking to finish what he's started - whether it's something as small as trying to get the last word in an argument or chasing after the light of redemption at the other side of the endless tunnel, he will stop at nothing to get it done. That said, he chooses what he starts and invests his efforts in carefully - but when he does, he's willing to thrust aside all of his morals and even others' lives in his quest for his "Tower", determinedly but selfishly pushing aside all obstacles to reach his goal.
xxxxxxxxxxxxThis is what got him killed the first time - this is what sent him into his cycle of repetition, his living hell. For reasons he no longer quite remembers or perhaps forced himself to forget, something happened between death and the now that made him at least marginally less ruthless - something, touched his heart. Sum found something that made life perhaps worth preserving even in his quest, something that changed his mind, even if only a little bit right now. He is in the process of change - but it's only just begun.
Personality: xxxMy tears? THAT IS exEXplainable. OPENLY, ghosGHOSTS are EMOTIONAL because THAT is what we are madeMADE of - emotions... xxxxxxxxxxxxTears of sorrow, or tears of spiteful laughter - that, he asks himself every time, mask in hand. Sum holds none of his emotions back - perhaps he can't, simply because of what he is. His feelings are almost passionately so - passionately angry, passionately determined, passionately amused (if that's even possible) - they are raw, untamed by the physical and mental walls that we, the living, can put up to lock away our hearts...
Personality: xxx...AND I must be TRANSPARENT w-with you - I cannot CONceal myMY aMUSEment. xxxxxxxxxxxxAs such, lies are foreign things to Sum now - in fact, they were probably mostly foreign things to him in life. Knowledge is something he values with high regard; to share truth to the best of one's knowledge and ability is the highest virtue one can have in Sum's eyes - conversely, to share false knowledge purposely without acceptable justification is among the worst. Honesty is most definitely the best policy with him, and exceptions are very few and far between.
Strengths: xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Knowledgeable, Intelligent, Clever xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Questioning, Pondering, Deep-Thinking xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Determined, Bold, Unyielding xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Sincere, Honest, Straightforward
Weaknesses: xxxxxxxxxxxx- Arrogant, Disrespectful, Proud xxxxxxxxxxxx- Bitter, Cynical, Negative xxxxxxxxxxxx- Ruthless, Unforgiving, Vengeful xxxxxxxxxxxx- Transparent, Open-Book, Easily Read
Likes: xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Sour Food xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Nighttime xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Cool Weather xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Justice/Vengeance xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Books/Knowledge xxxxxxxxxxxx+ Debates
Dislikes: xxxxxxxxxxxx- Spicy Food xxxxxxxxxxxx- Losing xxxxxxxxxxxx- Fighting xxxxxxxxxxxx- Justice Unsatisfied xxxxxxxxxxxx- Hot Weather xxxxxxxxxxxx- Dishonesty xxxxxxxxxxxx- Ignorance

the F A C E that was Chapter 01: The End
xxxxxxxxxxxxHe remembers the name he was given. He remembers who he was, what he did. He has no ignorance to hide behind - his sins are there, and he knows it. He knew what he did was probably wrong before he even did it, and he thought he had the right justification.
xxxxxxxxxxxxWhether he cares now is a different question.
xxxxxxxxxxxxI am. He is. If there is name that one should call him now if they absolutely must, let it be Sum. I am, I am and nothing else.
xxxxxxxxxxxxHe also was. He was a young man, a scholar, a student, with a heart tied to his first love, nature, and his second, knowledge. One event pushed him off the edge. One event pushed him too far.
xxxxxxxxxxxxIn less metaphorical terms, the human that Sum had once been was a scholarly young man from a low-middle class family on his way to a higher education. Like most children in his community (if not the world), he wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer - but for many, naive dreams like that fall apart in the face of reality, and that's what happened to Sum. He and his Pokemon thoroughly enjoyed the eight-year relationship they had together, beginning when he was ten, but he figured: the world still needs doctors, police, teachers, professors, researchers, not just for Pokemon but for humans as well.
xxxxxxxxxxxxBesides, he wasn't exactly the most competent trainer anyway - he enjoyed the relationship and closer understanding of nature rather than the battles, but he felt that only he would really benefit from that; his Pokemon wouldn't be able to get stronger or grow the way they should. Perhaps his Pokemon deserved to go to a better home, with a Trainer who maybe had more money to spend on good medicine for them or someone with more experience. Even better, perhaps they'd be happier back in the wild, back with nature - he wasn't abandoning them of course, he would visit and they would still be friends even if he was going off to college, after all.
xxxxxxxxxxxxThe sad part is that even the notion that they were better off in the wild or otherwise without him as a trainer was naive.
xxxxxxxxxxxxSum released them into healthy habitats before going off to school on his own to study environmental science. Having very little time to even visit his hometown, much less his Pokemon, it would be nine months before he could do so during his vacation. When he came to visit, most of his team was gone, presumably either gone to new Trainers or in the wild, making their own lives. Two of his Pokemon, though, a Plusle and Minun pair he'd released together, he found in the hands of an even worse Trainer, who abused them and pushed them far beyond their limits, only allowing them rest when they were on the verge of collapse.
xxxxxxxxxxxxThere are no words to express his guilt and rage.
xxxxxxxxxxxxHe, of course, in his scrawny body and no team, would not be able to even help them; it was Team Plasma that would end up saving them at his request later - they were the only ones available that could do it, even though he didn't entirely agree with their practices. From that point though, he would draw partly from their philosophy and go off as an independent and more extreme liberator.
xxxxxxxxxxxxTraining his body and switching his focus of study to philosophy, Sum prepared himself for the mission he felt himself destined for - vengeance, upon all those who would abuse Pokemon for their own gain. By the time he graduated (with honors and high marks), Sum was incredibly strong and far less naive, with an increasingly burning hate for human society as he became more and more aware of mankind misusing the earth and its creatures for its own gain. The newfound strength he gained became his tool to serve justice and liberate the enslaved; the knowledge he gained, he used to justify his ruthless and violent mission: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life.
xxxxxxxxxxxxEventually, after six years, the law tracked down what had been a cleverly elusive serial killer and thief (he preferred the terms "punisher" and "liberator", of course). The law was equally as unforgiving toward him as he was towards those he brought down "justice" upon - he was swiftly expelled from life.
Chapter 02: The Middle
xxxxxxxxxxxxWhat happened between the shutting of his old eyes and the opening of his new ones is blurry - something, happened, and it was beautiful and terrifying - like a vague but powerful dream, the feelings lingered but the memory vanished.
xxxxxxxxxxxxThat is the catch about being a Yamask - one remembers their life as a human, but that doesn't mean their memories as a Pokemon are always quite so clear. Which brings us to the real prologue of Sum's story, the now-missing catalyst that sent him on his quest...
xxxxxxxxxxxxCapturing Sum was almost embarrassingly easy; when he woke up in his new "body", he recognized that he was now a Pokemon but had no idea how he was supposed to fight or use his moves, and he woke up some place a long way from where he last remembered being (then again, his body probably had to be disposed of somehow), conveniently where a young, budding Pokemon Trainer was looking for a new addition to her team.
xxxxxxxxxxxxQuite obviously he was not happy with this Trainer and was not afraid to show it when he came out of his Pokeball for the first time. Though not of ill-will, Anna made many, many newbie mistakes, over and over again - she was one of those sorts of people who perhaps needed to learn things the hard way. Sum scolded her often (at least, as best as he could with only motions and a very small vocal vocabulary to express himself with) and it can be said that he was somewhat hostile to her at first, seeing the young Trainer as an overly naive simpleton with an annoying amount of childish hope.
xxxxxxxxxxxxStill, as her experience grew, so did her relationship with her Pokemon and her ability to properly take care of and train them. Within a year, Sum grew to tolerate her; in another, he accepted her as a vague friend; in a few more, he would eventually grow to love her as the closest human friend he'd ever had in both of his lives. By that point, Sum wouldn't have been able to imagine life without Anna - her kindness and innocence had somehow pierced through his anger and bitterness toward humans, opening his eyes to a different side of mankind's story.
xxxxxxxxxxxx...It's terrifying and amazing, how it only takes a few moments to destroy what takes years to create.
xxxxxxxxxxxxTo this day, Sum does not know if Anna and the rest of the team is alright or even alive; he had been forcibly liberated from her, taken away by ruthless, violent revolutionaries - people that he and other liberators had inspired, people that he had once been like. It was quite possibly the most painful day in his life and un-life, perhaps even more painful than the day he witnessed his own Pokemon being abused by the other Trainer.
xxxxxxxxxxxxAs soon as he was released in a strange place by his "liberators", he looked at his mask and cried - not out of missing his old life but out of wanting to take everything back, wanting to undo what he had done, as he realized exactly the sort of pain he had brought upon all the Pokemon he'd liberated and the Trainers he liberated them from. Sum realized, he this because he'd made judgments about them - deemed everyone incompetent, stupid, unworthy - without understanding the other side of the story, without really having ever known or experienced the goodness of mankind until now.
xxxxxxxxxxxxHis mask had never been so heavy.
xxxxxxxxxxxxSum wandered, trying to find his way back to where he was separated from Anna - by the time he did get there, it had already been a few weeks; no one in their right mind would stay there for that long. So from that point he wandered across the country, hoping that by some crazy chance he might find her again.
xxxxxxxxxxxxEventually, though, he forgot why he wandered, he forgot why he was trying to help others along the way - perhaps it was too painful for him to remember the reason why he went off on his quest for redemption. All he knows now is the burning rage and sorrow that lingered after, begging him to seek vengeance once more on others.
xxxxxxxxxxxxBut... something -- is missing.
Chapter 03: The Beginning
xxxxxxxxxxxxMusharna came across the embittered and lost Yamask by chance, who had wandered himself into knocking out under a tree, exhausted from his traveling. In his deep slumber, Sum's dreams were wrapped in pink smoke as he was visited by a... man(?) also wrapped in pink.
xxxxxxxxxxxxIt was as if Musharna had been both curious and regretful - doubtful, even worried - of what he had done. As he would learn from asking of the nature of his death, Musharna had returned humanity to what had once been a monster of a man and what was now a spiteful and deeply wounded spirit - yet, there is hope, even if only a glimmer.
xxxxxxxxxxxx"Lifelifelife and friendship are things I NEVERnevernever was supposed to steal away, even though society did so to me. I only wantedWANTED to makemakemaa-ake things RIGHT... And I STILL do."
xxxxxxxxxxxxThe rest is but a blur, impossible to recall but -- but there was something, something that was imperative for him to remember, something out of his hand's reach like the man-creature that vanished from his dreams as suddenly as he'd appeared, to whom Sum reached out in desperation, infinitely hungry for an answer, a clue, something to guide him on his new mission, the answer that he already knew but didn't - and still doesn't yet - know. And when he did, Sum shot up out of his sleep, with his red eyes snapping open and the first thing he saw was his feet. Human, feet - then, human hands, that touched his human face. The same as the one he had so long ago but -- different.
xxxxxxxxxxxxBetween gritted teeth and behind clenched fists came the first human words he'd spoken in a long, long time. "I, I supPOSE I have WORKworkwork to do."

The original contest entry I used for Yamask; his personality/history has changed a slight bit as I've further clarified/smoothed out/cleaned up his character since the contest, but for the most part his personality, way of speaking, and the central theme of his "redemption storyline" going on remain the same.
xxxxx"Human once, even before a Pokemon--and I mean truly human." Musharna paused, looking over his work in partial admiration and partial distress. He hadn't questioned the others motives for being human till now, having a clear view of what he had created.
xxxxx"You've died before in one of your lifetimes, I know..." His tone held a great deal of uneasiness, unable to lift his eyes from off the other.
xxxxxThere was another pause, tangling his fingers within long, magenta hair as he tempted to work up the courage to further pursue his curiosities.
xxxxx"So tell me." Musharna finally managed. "How did you come to die..?"
xxxxxThere was a tilt of the head - one that shouldn't have been humanly possible. Humanly.
xxxxxWas that face-splitting tug at the corner of his lips... was that a grin or a grimace? Were those tears of laughter or tears of sorrow, lined with the reflection of his glowing eyes - that selfish bioluminescence, lighting red only for him and nothing, no one else - blinding his sight?
xxxxxThe way he opened his mouth, one might have expected a heavy mist to roll out from between his teeth, bared somewhere between gleeful spite and hateful... regret? Instead, broken echoes flowed out from those lips that barely moved - human words he'd spoken long ago tacked together haphazardly from memory by the spirit whose rusty speech and equally rusty voice managed to maintain the now-foreign language in a coherent manner. "You ASK, friendFRIEND, as if the story of my death MYDEATH! ma-a-tters soSO much."
xxxxxSomehow the mask was in his hands now, flipping over and over again between spindly fingers. "What MATTERS is lifelifelife. The oneone before, the one nowNOW, and the one that is to begin. DEATH is o-o-only a fleeting, passing thing." The flipping stopped, the mask froze face-down and he slowly brought the inside to his face, closing his eyes. Remembering. Remembering, to a time that would have been best not remembered. "But y-youyou have asked, so I, I shall tell. And when I tellTELL my tale, re-re-remember, it was you who asked, and I who told for yourYOUR benefit-fit-fit."
xxxxxWhat voice that followed could not be a Pokemon's, but the hollow, inhuman mockery -
xxxxxHow could it have possibly been human once?
TheyTHEY called me mad.
They called meME! a murdererMURDERER. A THIEF. A RAVAGER A CRIMINALAREBELADISGUSTINGWORTHLESSPIECEOFSCUM
But, you SEE, society's laws, their AUTHORITYity have no place in the mind of a SAVIOR. They would neverNEVER underSTAND, I sacrificed-rificed my right to the HEAVEN I BELIEVED IN, risked going to the HELL I BELIEVED IN, to changeCHANGE the world for the betterthebetter of all Pokemon and mankind.
The men I eliminated - FOR THE SOCIETY THAT WOULDN'T ACCEPT ME. The Pokemon I liberated - FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT. The real criminals I punished - FOR TRUE JUSTICE. The uprisings I led - FOR THE FUTURE.
But I was martyredMARTYRED! Shot down in the middle of my greatestMYGREATEST mission because of these ungrateful, stagnating, ROTTEN servants of society -
xxxxx"-who were a little ALITTLE more rightright than I gave them cre-credit forforfor," he said softly, voice morphing back to the more usual jaggedness of his broken speech before the monster overwhelmed him. Once more, the mask was turning, turning, turning in his pale, dead hands. "This afterAFTERlife, this lonely purgatory as a Pokemon I have been sentenced to, with no hopes for the Heaven nor the Hell I believed in - PURGED me of such fooleryfooleryfoolery, some doctrine formulated by an human just as JUST AS mad as memeME."
xxxxxOne could say that he might have learned his lesson. "Lifelifelife and friendship are things I NEVERnevernever was supposed to steal away, even though society did so to me. I only wantedWANTED to makemakemaa-ake things RIGHT."
xxxxxThe turning stopped, the mask was face-up this time. An embittered grin flashed across his scarred face. "And I STILL do."

Phew! I hope he's up to snuff! First quest in Entra and I'm still very, very iffy about Sum's character as well as the RP standards here at DoE. I had quite a bit of trouble fleshing his personality and history out, and it is not very concrete at the moment; he is still rather vague to me as a character and I have yet to entirely solidify who he is/what he's doing/why he's doing it, which is why some parts of his personality/history may be purposely left somewhat blurry/vague until I can fully make sense out of his character, who is often a sort of self-contradictory type of guy with an equally conflicting and paradoxical view/philosophy on life.
Anyway, I don't care so much about "playing a character that is/isn't the way I want it" so long as the general "redemption" theme remains-ish, since that's the center of his entire story - pretty much my goal here is to just write a good story. I would be more than happy to take suggestions, especially to help me better clarify his character. ^^

I have to say, this concept was an absolute delight to read - the creativity behind his design is beautifully demonstrated. However, there are certain elements that do need tweaked, not from a personality standpoint, but from a canon one. Oddly enough, it's only one issue as well, once that's dealt with I can very easily knock this profile towards Vittles for proper approval.
The issue I have is as follows: "Extra - Visual Variance: Although he has human form now, Sum is still at least a partly ethereal being whose visual features and voice can be inconsistent, varying slightly depending on his emotions and any memories he may be recalling - but because he recognizes who he is, his visage remains mostly recognizable in the eyes of others, perhaps like a television image distorted sometimes by static. Ghosts are (or can be), after all, manifestations of the memories, emotions, and thoughts - the souls, if you will - of the dead. Should he lose sight of his identity, though, his visual identity will be equally as blurry and uncertain as his view of it."
Sum is actually alive again, he IS human and he is no longer a ghost. He was formerly a ghost pokemon, that goes without saying, but Musharna has granted him new life and humanity again in the form of a human body. It's a similar situation that Insidia (Porygon) found himself in - Porygons are pure data, they don't have a physical form either...but the moment Musharna granted him humanity, he was also give a pure and solid form.
Keeping that in mind, it's not possible for Sum to become a literal blurr, he won't lose the clarity around his facial features, they'll remain solid. However he is a ghost pokemon and keeping that in mind, they are notorious for their illusions. A plausible solution that wouldn't force this trait to be completely removed is to imply that when he loses focus (as seems to be the case), he may lose his control over some of his abilities, thus causing his psychic capabilities to 'warp' his appearance in the eyes of the observer for a brief while. In essence, it would be like heat waves rising from the ground, they cause the air to ripple and distort, thus effecting how the object/place/person looks from a distance.
The above is a suggestion I've theorycrafted as I know some folks don't like the idea of completely removing a trait. You're more than welcome to take that explanation or you can develop your own, the only thing I would request is that you recognise that physically he isn't transparent and he can't warp his facial features as he's a solid being following Musharna's intervention.
Hopefully that made sense! I have a habit of rambling on occasions. <3
In addition you also have no need to worry about being up to snuff or the vagueness of his history, the personality is definitely up to standard and the history has all the key points in it. You're allowed to keep some things hidden, that way you can expose them as and when it's appropriate in RP/Plots etc!

Ahhh okay I see - dont worry, it totally makes sense, and thanks for letting me know! The whole variance/static stuff/subtle visual changes to represent his mental state of being was based on the assumption that he was still technically dead. xD so yeah, I'm cool with that, he's not totally set in stone after all and I'm pretty flexible when it comes to character concepts, even if I did remove the trait completely the change doesent really affect his personal character too much (which is really what's more important to me anyway), so I'll go and change that up ASAP~
