Skull Rabbit sat in front of a blank canvas that was propped up on a pile of rocks. It was a lovely day to be outside and the sun served as great lighting. "Hmmm... I wonda what I should paint." He looked all around him, but nothing sparked his interest. "I don't really think I'm the creative so't."
Then, he looked down, seemingly defeated. It was then that he finally got an idea. I can do a self portrait. That should be easy enough.
He was using a leaf on the ground to the right of him as a palette and black, pasty paint was piled up on it. He stuck his paws in it and pretended to shoot, while he painted. He said, "Pakyun!", as he made one stroke. "Pakyun!" And another. "Pakyun!" And yet another. He was painting rows upon rows of oversized lace.

Lolita Bat stretched in a cat like fashion. It was such a gorgeous morning!
Lolita watched the clouds drift by for a moment before deciding to take a walk around the area. She loved being outside. Seeing all the plants and creatures. As she was walking about, she thought she heard something.
"Pakyun!"
There it was again. Where was it coming from? Lolita walked a bit farther before spotting another gladier. It looked like they were painting.. but of what, she could only guess. She watched the gladier silently.

Skull Rabbit had the strangest feeling someone was looking at him. It was so disconcerting that he stopped painting and looked all around him. He was rather dense, so he didn't notice anything different. "I could've swo'n someone was looking at me. Oh, botha... I must just be paranoi'." He looked back at his painting. He had finished the black markings and he wanted to do the gray fur next. He looked and saw he only had black paint. I really should've thought this through. If I mix the black paint with the some water, though, it'll look gray. That's good enough for me.
He got up and pointed to the canvas and palette like they were a pair of children. "You, and you! Stay put! I'm going to go get some wata."
After that, he grabbed a leaf off the ground to put some water on and walked off in the other direction. His fore-paws left little black paw-prints in his wake. At this rate, he'd end up running into the other gladier...

She blinked when he seemed to not see her. "Guess my colors blend better then I thought." She said to herself. Lolita watched as the other looked around, then ordered his things to stay put. Well that was definitely interesting. Did he expect them to walk away?
She side stepped as he approached, noting the trail of prints he left behind. "....What are you doing?" She asked, then poking at one of the prints on the ground. "Painting?"

It was hard for Skull Rabbit to see the mostly gray Cetus from afar, but now that she was right in front of him, he felt embarrassed about not noticing her earlier. I mean, she's right there, for crying out loud!
"Yes." The leaf fell right out once he opened his mouth. I'll have to get that back later. "You're right. I'm painting. How'd you - ?" He didn't finish, because he noticed his paws were dripping wet with black paint. So, that's how she knew. " - oh."
Now, he was doubly embarrassed. He was trying hard to hide that he was blushing, so he kept looking left and right. He would've covered his face up, if he knew he wouldn't end up getting his face messy. That's not cool. That's not dope. This is just pathetic! There had to be some way to make this work. "Oh! I'm surprised to've neva seen you around 'ere befo'. I know I'd rememba a pretty face like that. Uh, do you like paintings? I like looking at them, but I don't think I'm that good, yet. But I won't get any betta if I don't practice, right?"

She giggled quietly. "Im pretty new to the area." She said blushing slightly at his pretty comment. "Mhmm. I like ones that have vibrant color to em..So like, land scapes and stuff similar to that. Though some times some of the darker colors are nice too. " She waved a paw. "Im sure your paintings are good. Though practice is always fun too."
Her eyes drifted down to the leaf he had been carrying. "So what were you painting?? And what as the leaf for?"

Skull Rabbit noticed that she had blushed. He just smiled. "That'd explain it. I hope yo' enjoying yo'self, so fa'." He was glad she liked paintings too. "The ones that tell a story are my fav'rites. I want to be able to do that one day. And thanks! I'll have to show you when I get a chance."
"I was painting myself. It wo'ks out, because couldn't think of anything to do with only black paint." Other than his hair, dangles, and some of his markings, he was mostly achromatic colors. After he looked at her for a while, he noticed she was similar colors. "Now that I think about it, it'd work for you too. If you were the so't who liked to be painted, of cou'se."
"Oh, I'm going to dip the leaf in wata to make gray paint."

"Ooooh stories huh? Those have alot of detail to em sometimes. Im sure you'll be able to do it someday."
She tilted her head slightly. "Painting yourself? That must be tricky. Work for me?" She looked herself over, then giggled. "I guess your right. I've never been painted before.. Though I suppose I'd be an easy subject. I kinda lack in the color department huh?"
She looked at the leaf then back at him. "Like, water color? I love how the colors blend when they come together in those types of pictures." She started thinking of some of the pictures she had seen before, but quickly snapped back to attention. "Er... Do you mind if I join you?"

"Thanks!" For once, Skull Rabbit couldn't think of anything else to say. He felt flattered, really, and was all warm and fuzzy inside. He also thought of how it'd feel to be on the same level as those he admired. Why, he thought he might pop like a bubble in a pine tree!
The trickiest part is painting yo' own face, since it's not like you can see it o' anything like that. Othe' than that, it's not so bad. I can make myself do whatevah I want." To prove his point, he lied down flat on his belly and lifted all of his limbs as far into the air as he could. Then, he went back to his normal pose and said, "...so it's easiah in that respect, I guess."
"Yes, like that! And no, I don't mind at all. In fact, I insist that you join me," he said with a grin.

"Painting your face must take alot of patience... Though I guess my face wouldn't be too hard... My hair covers a good part of it.." She blinked when he proved his point.
"Alright then. If in insist on it then I shall. She laughed.

Her expression made Skull Rabbit's stomach go in knots. Maybe I shouldn't've posed. Oh, well, what's done is done.
"I think it's part of your charm. Your hair has a different texture from your fur and is just as nice to look at. Mine is...err...pink." He said the last word more quietly than anything else.
"That's good to hear. I'm just going to go down to the river and head back after that. It's just a hop, skip, and jump away, so we'll be done in no time." He balanced the leaf on his head this time, because he knew he'd end up dropping it again if he tried to carry it the way he was before.

"Ah but it suits you!" She said laughing lightly. "You atleast have some color to you! Where as I..." She waved a paw at herself "...Im very... monochromatic. Not much to me Im afraid."
She giggled again when he balanced the leaf on his head.

Skull Rabbit smiled, half closed his eyes, and wagged his tail. "Thanks! If you say so, I believe it." His eyes widened when he heard what she said next. "Not much? I don't think so. There's a lot of intricacies to you. It's like those black and white ones by that one guy. That one guy with the birds and fish and people climbing stairs that lead nowhere." He had no idea what his name was. He just said the first thing that came to mind. "MC Usher."
