I hate moving fridges. For some reason my family will not allow for the delivery guys to put the fridge in, so it's always me and my brothers.
Fridges suck, man. 'Specially when you have to take the doors off to fit it in the house.
that is very true!
fortunately my own, which died, was only apartment sized, but it still weighed a ton, and of course it was in my kitchen in the loft, so it had to come downstairs and then through the hall, the dining room, and the mud room.
we still have an old fridge mouldering in the back of the mud room, which was left there by the previous owners; it was used for fishing buddies who used to stay over. So it smells of old fish and beer.
it is imprisoned in its corner by our washer and dryer, which we would have to move in order to get rid of it.
even if we managed to move those things, we'd have to take the door off the house AND because it is bulky and old fashioned, off the defunct fridge as well!
then, the transfer station makes us pay twenty bucks to dump it, coz it has freon in it.
and my dad really isn't well enough to lift it up onto the truck either.
