Things had seemed to gradually calm down in the Infirmary. After tending to the various injured people, it felt simply dull just hanging around. Yet, the chibi senshi had managed to find themselves exploring the outpost after they had finished assisting.

Zirconia, however, seemed to have her mind elsewhere. The manx would have normally expected the other guardian to be following the children closely to make sure they weren't bothering anybody. Yet instead, she was sitting upon the steps, gazing out to the stars that surrounded everyone.

If there was one thing that ********* was not good at being, it was a ninja. The bell about her collar, and the two bells about her suspenders made certain of that. She approached the other guardian from behind, her steps light to make the jingling sound accompanying her movements just as light. In a playfully sing-song tone, she made her presence known.

"Zir. Cone. Eee. Ahhh."

Zirconia had been doing her usual hang back and keep a distant eye on where Hug-Bell was, but she figured the Virgo outpost was okay to let her go explore. She just kind of hung around, still staring off into space and going over the zillions of things on her mind.

Until she heard those bells. And the sing-songy voice behind her.

"Hee. Bee." She imitated the greeting with something of a sneer and a roll of the eyes. She tried to remind herself not to take out frustrations on friends, though, kind of found something new to look at as she shifted her weight to another hip.

With a sigh, she forced herself not to be so touchy and even managed to get out, "What's up?" In lieu of her originally planned 'what do you want?'

Alas, the eye rolling went unnoticed as the other guardian was facing away at the moment. ********* giggled a bit, then approached Zirconia. In this form, the other guardian was still a decent bit taller than her.

"Weeeeell.....we're in space! That's pretty up, right?" The silvery haired girl was obviously still quite chipper, despite the fact they were in space in an effort to save some civilians who were inexplicably there.

Rather than just stay in front of the Parallel guardian, ********* began to almost prance about the other, her fingers delicately lifting the edges of the other's skirt. "Hmmm... this is such a nice dress... I had no idea what you were going to look like in this form... but I think it is quite suiting, Zirconia! A class act!" Once she had made a single round, she was in front of the lavendar haired guardian again.

In her ever friendly tone, the shorter of the pair then asked without any hesitation "...so... dare I ask if that long face of yours is because you had to come to space... or is there something on your mind?"

Zirconia groaned and slapped a hand on her face about ********* comment on how 'up' they were. She should've really expected it, though, and on some level she acknowledged that.

"Hey!" She was easily brought out of her own little world when all of the sudden ********* started touching her dress. Even if the purple overlayer trailed on the ground, she still didn't like people touching it. this was her last and only outfit from home!

"Of course it's a nice dress, I lived with the Moon Queen," She huffed, gathering up the purple cloth and snatching it away in a very childish 'all mine' gesture.

"No it's..." She had to stop and clear her throat, and she kind of looked down at the cluster of material in her arms while she tried to bite back any tears that might slip through as she went over all her troubles. Bringing open wounds back to the surface were required for figuring out how to word it, but still difficult.to handle without flat out crying in the middle of space. If it wasn't for Hug-bell and this emergency she'd probably still be in bed trying to ignore the world and it had taken incredible effort to keep it together this far.

"I lost my last two girls," She mumbled quietly.

The manx-girl giggled a bit as Zirconia seemed to try to pinch all of the cloth from her dress up against her body. It made her seem like a poofy mushroom or something. However, she calmed her expression and her antics as her elder explained how things were going. Of course, the Moon Queen thing was still quite a bit hard for ********* to swallow, but she wasn't going to interrupt at the moment. As her friend's face began to reveal how much distress she was going through (despite all attempts to hide such emotions), her own expression seemed to melt into something sympathetic.

********* knew how much pride this other guardian had in her senshi. So when Zirconia confessed what had happened, there was no preventing the manx-girl from being who she was. Despite how rigid Zirconia frequently seemed, ********* still did not seem to understand the concepts of personal boundaries. So it wasn't surprising when the taller of the two guardians found two arms wrapped about her, hugging as tightly as she could while still having all of that cloth smooshed between the two of them.

There were two ways in which ********* knew a guardian cat could lose their senshi. One was simply death. The other was if the Negaverse stole the senshi away. In a concerned tone that was laced with curiosity, she asked what needed to be asked. "...what happened, Zirconia?"

Zirconia was quiet for a long moment, staring down at the pile of cloth draped over her bare arms and then hugging it close, wishing it still smelled like home. This never would've happened if they just stayed home.

"It's my fault," She said quietly. "Sailor Ares shouldn't have been allowed to lead so freely, unquestioned, but I always favored her. I still favored her, even though our captain and our queen weren't there to keep everything in check."

A small, barely audible whimper caught in her throat and choked back any other unwanted noises with a hard swallow.

"She let Chaos turn her into... something..." And in those slow moments her grief suddenly shifted to anger. "She says she's the new queen. That she'll rebuild our kingdom in the name of Chaos, in your space," Her fingernails dug into purple silk and her bare arms, anything they could clutch as Zirconia tried to contain the bubbling rage rising to the surface in an alarmingly fast rate.

"She is not our queen, Nehelenia is! Nehelenia was just, and righteous, and would never make this mistake twice. Never," That last was more like self assurance, something needed when all you were clinging to was a memory, one no one else left in the world really seemed to hold or cherish.

"She took Sailor Gaia with her, and, *********," She turned her yellow eyed glare to the other guardian, as serious as she'd ever been, "She's taken others too. Senshi from your world, she can put new souls in them, make them parallel like us. But it's wrong, they're all wrong. I don't even know if they can be fixed," That last one was a grim prospect. She knew it took enormous power to purify someone, but purify a parallel who'd entered their world like that? Were they repairable?

"If you ever see Ares, keep your senshi close, *********>

********* remained hugging onto Zirconia, a hand gently stroking along her back in an effort to calm what seemed like a frazzled guardian. She dared not interrupt, listening to every word carefully.

The white moon cat could not claim to know everything that went on in the parallel moon cat's life. One aspect was the fact her friend had dual personalities, resulting in two very different lives. One of the cat, and one of the girl born of the Earth. There was also the fact that ********* had never met any of the senshi from Zirconia's team. She had heard brief mentions, but nothing that truly stuck to her memories.

There was one word that seemed to stick with the shorter of the pair this time as Zirconia essentially shared her soul with ********* was not a good word to find in this conversation. Especially with all of the explanations of who Ares had taken. Ares had taken white moon senshi and turned them to chaos. The Negaverse had done this before, however, the way Zirconia spoke made it sound different.

Rubbing her palm upon Zirconia's shoulders in a small circle, she tried to bring a little bit of light to the conversation. "If you dig your nails into your arms like that, you are going to hurt yourself!" Since she was a good four inches shorter than her companion, she had to stand up on her tip toes in order to rub her cheek against the other girl's. ********* was a cat, through and through.

"It is not your fault, Zirconia. Don't ask me how I know... but I just know it isn't your fault. Everybody makes decisions for themselves."

A couple fingers managed to find their way into Zirconia's lilac ringlets, twirling them about the appendages. Thoughtfully, ********* eyes glanced to her fingers, looking over the hair. When her eyes found the yellow ones again, she asked "...has this happened once before?" If this time was the second time, then that would mean that this had happened once before.

Normally Zirconia would've flicked ********* hand away at any physical contact, but right now the comforting motion was a welcome one. When ********* asked her question it finally occurred to her that she had never given ********* the whole story, and that somehow across their various meetings her annoyance and suspicion of the other guardian had turned into a weird sort of friendship and affection.

"Yeah, it happened once before," She mumbled and dropped the skirt she'd been holding and sat down on the ground.

This was going to be a long story.

She started at the beginning, about the Black Moon Kingdom and it's differences from the White Moon, Nehelenia especially. She only remembered bits and pieces about her time corrupted, but she knew about the destruction they had caused, and she knew they'd gotten a second chance. She went on about her original team, about how Wiseman and Black Lady swooped in and stole their Queen's crystal, their pilgrimage back to the White Earth, Selene's sacrifice of her and her prince to end the coma epidemic, Zirconia's mission from Selene to get the final three parallels home, and ultimately, her failure.

"They're lost to me, now," She finished, rubbing the section of her arm she'd been gripping earlier. "I can't feel them anymore now that they're following that usurper."

It was quite a story which Zirconia told the other guardian. When her friend sat down, the manx-girl sat down next to her, green eyes upon the yellow ones. Of course, somewhere during the story, ********* hand managed to find the other guardian's, holding it within her own.

Once the explanation had been finished up, the younger of the pair turned and glanced to the stars of the surrounding. "To think that there is a universe essentially opposite to the one we are in right now." She let out a nearly romanced sigh. If anything, it almost seemed as if ********* had completely missed the point of the whole story. Yet then she spoke up again.

"You, my dear, have been through quite a bit. More than any of us from the White Moon Kingdom will ever understand." She pointed with her free hand out to the stars. "From what I am hearing... it sounds like we're going to have to worry about saving all of this now." Her eyes glanced back to the other guardian for a moment before she added, "I know it might not be much... but if you are ever feeling... well... like you want to talk... for whatever reason... you know I always have two ears that are willing to listen!"

Zirconia couldn't help but release a wistful sigh, staring up at an alien sky that had increasingly become more and more familiar over the last year. "It's beautiful there. Not like here. Our Elysion is Tartaros, a realm of nightmares. Our moon is dark, our Earth kingdom is new but... It's beautiful in it's own way..." But that was back when they were all together. She could never be more homesick than when she first arrived back on this side of the mirror and she was faced with the reality of Selene and Aphrodite's deaths, but right now was a close second.

She nodded a little, eyes still cast out to the glittering space. "Chaos can't take this too." Though, Zirconia still had little love for this world. These homeworlds, this earth, it meant nothing to her. She had, however, come to care deeply for several people living on these meaningless rocks in space, and damned was the next agent of Chaos that took one more loved one from her grasp.

"Thank you, *********," She mumbled, gently pulling her in by their held hands to give her a brief, but heartfelt hug.

And just like that the moment was over. Zirconia broke off the hug fairly quickly and looked straight ahead with the mildly unpleasant look most who knew her had come to know as 'neutral'. "Now don't mention that to anyone," She said in a very monotone and flat voice.

Zirconia's words could have been mistaken for an insult, but the younger of the pair was more than willing to assume that had not been the intent. ********* chimed in with something she had once heard somewhere, probably something she had heard on a radio while she was on her daily travels.

"'Everything is beautiful, in its own way'... though... I think the power of Chaos is one of those things I would rather not consume the Earth or this universe."

Her friend's next actions did somewhat catch the manx guardian by surprise, though she tried to not let it show. Instead, she gracefully accepted the hug, then topped it off by leaning in and giving the other guardian a small kiss on the cheek. After all, this was *********>, and she had no problems showing her affectionate side to others. Of course, the moment didn't last long, and it apparently came with disclaimers attached at the very end.

With a slight salute, ********* offered "You have my word, Zirconia!"

That out of the way, the girl stretched her arms up above her head. "Goodness... it has been a while since I could spend an extended amount of time in this form... I almost don't know what to do with myself! I didn't realize the people in the infirmary would be healing up so quickly!"
