Bake had been waiting patiently in his waters, the night created shadows of twisted arms, clawing out for him but they could not reach him. Not here, his home was a blessing. Nothing could see him but he could see them. The only thing those land creatures had to worry about was getting too close to the edge. He could see their screams now, the panic when the air was replaced with a liquid as the life slipped from them. Mere seconds before they were long gone, they would be saved. In many ways it was a valuable lesson, to show how life should be appreciated because at any moment, any day that precious life could be gone.

His home was made up in an underwater cave, inside the cavern he had a bubble of water then on the surface was an air pocket, a secret cave that only he or other sea creatures could get to. It was the perfect set up. Not many dare venture here, not even the others lurking in these waters and so when they did appear, it meant Bake could have a little fun. Lately it had been dull, only ravens had been flying around these parts, eating scraps of what was left of an animal corpse.

Although he did have a feeling... A good feeling that change was going to happen. When he thought about what that could be, shivers ran violently down his spine, his whole body clamped tight on itself because he wanted to know now, he was desperate to know and even then all he knew he could do was wait.

Shadow had left Nori in charge of sitting the baskets since Moonshine was terribly worn out lately and had agreed to let him take a break and get back to normal. She had bigger problems to deal with for the well being of her family and for once she was taking her family seriously. If she carried on the way she was, then that was one part of her life she was going to miss out on. Especially with Evan in the picture, he could tear it apart in seconds if he wanted to the clever little - She would solve this... And fast.

She had heard the swamp by the cursed graveyard had a monster living in it and it had made her curious to seek out this monster. She wasn't afraid, she wasn't afraid of anything as there wasn't a monster out there that had any comparison to herself. If plans went right, she would have a very good scout at her hooves, one that would help infiltrate Eden if it came to that. She knew that Evan wanted his title an heir to Alpha. If her baby came out a girl then their pack was in trouble and she knew that well unless she had anything to do with it.

Coming to the edge of the swamp it just looked like a beaten, shoddy old thing wasting away in the middle of nowhere but that's how lone wolves liked it and even in it's rotting state, she thought it was rather beautiful and preserved. It had taken a long time to get here, days of traveling and it had been a risk leaving her pack but she needed a worthy new member to the pack that could help her. She hoped her mate and Nori could keep them all in check.

It was then looking in to the swamp that she caught sight of two bright eyes and a slither of orange and yellow, striped like a fish. It's fins were larger making her wonder if it was a serpant, long tail, sharp features. It was keeping watch on her. How delightful.

"I don't have time to be playing games, depth dweller. Come out, come out. I have a proposition you won't be able to turn down." She laughed evily, eyes narrowing in to slits.

He caught sight of a figure at the edge of his waters, a long, fluffy tail through the rippling surface, red eyes illuminated by yellow and a bright, full moon burning down behind her. This one had seen him, she must have had good eyes to see beyond his ledge of darkness. A smirk collected on his lips, that feeling of change was creeping fully upon him, it was the only reason he was cooperating with her demand. Interested and curious to what she meant he swam up through the swampy mass and emerged. Water fell from his body like mini waterfalls, followed by the debris and moss that slopped to the ground with a thud with every step he took to exit his deathly home.

He looked her up and down, fangs bared with dangerous appeal however something told him this wolf like creature would not be phased by him, she stood with power and looked like she had come face to face with evil like him before. "Depth dweller? A more fitting name would have been appropriate." He growled lightly. "What is it you want with me? You should have died the moment you appeared but... You aren't like the rest, that's for certain."

With a lash of his tail cutting through the murky terrain, he curled it around his side showing her he could reach with ease and slice her with his spikes if need be. He was always weary, if he wasn't the one causing pain there was that chance that someone would show him a piece of his own medicine in time.

Lea watched the creature emerge from it's swamp and she wouldn't of expected any less of an entry as the seaweed and thick slabs of ooze and water slipped from his body as if it was made of marble. She let her gaze fully take him in and as he had predicted, she wasn't phased she had dealt with bigger and more powerful demons than him in her time. "I thought Depth dweller was fitting." She laughed, robotically. "You were hiding, clever but not good enough. I saw you clear enough that any who came casually strolling by would have to be an idiot not to notice you were there." She gave a light shrug, not fussed on what he thought of her opinion.

Cutting straight to the chase, eh? She liked his out take on the matter. He wasn't idle and was already starting to grow to her liking. "Should I?" She started, showing her white pearls in a sly grin. "I doubt that. I have a predicament, one in which I need minions to help me with. I don't usually ask for this kind of assistance but unfortunately there comes a time when even the proudest know their numbers are not enough. A herd threatens my pack, they're creatures who preach purity and innocence. One however betrayed them at a young age and has now betrayed me and returned to his family with rights to a daughter of mine." She struck the ground with her hoof in irritation as the memories flooded her mind and anger flared through her body with a spine chilling shiver.

"I need scouts at the ready and I have caught wind of your reputation. I think you would be perfect for the job, if the rumours are correct." She held her head high, her eyes challenging him to back out of her offer. "you will be part of the infiltration operation as we ready for an ambush when the time comes. Interested?"
