Bake had been waiting patiently in his waters, the night created shadows of twisted arms, clawing out for him but they could not reach him. Not here, his home was a blessing. Nothing could see him but he could see them. The only thing those land creatures had to worry about was getting too close to the edge. He could see their screams now, the panic when the air was replaced with a liquid as the life slipped from them. Mere seconds before they were long gone, they would be saved. In many ways it was a valuable lesson, to show how life should be appreciated because at any moment, any day that precious life could be gone.
His home was made up in an underwater cave, inside the cavern he had a bubble of water then on the surface was an air pocket, a secret cave that only he or other sea creatures could get to. It was the perfect set up. Not many dare venture here, not even the others lurking in these waters and so when they did appear, it meant Bake could have a little fun. Lately it had been dull, only ravens had been flying around these parts, eating scraps of what was left of an animal corpse.
Although he did have a feeling... A good feeling that change was going to happen. When he thought about what that could be, shivers ran violently down his spine, his whole body clamped tight on itself because he wanted to know now, he was desperate to know and even then all he knew he could do was wait.
