Okay, here are a few things for making good profiles.
1st- attacks: A. Meisters: Meisters use something called a Soul Wavelength for attacks, they do not use any summoning techniques or magical abilities. You must put a valid way they use their soul wavelengths, not saying "They use their soul wavelength to summon a giant cat", that is magic. Something like "They push part of their soul wavelength into their hand and throw a very strong punch" is better, but could be even better, have imagination.
B. Weapons: Weapons can transform their limbs into their own weapons, such as an axe arm, or a sword leg, etc. Simple, but they can also use their Soul Wavelengths to do various things to, much like the miesters.
C. Kishin: They use something called a Madness Wavelength, causing different various different effects with different kishin. They can also use their Soul wavelengths as well as some more magical abilities.
D. Witches: They use magic!! No wavelengths abilities, well technically their wavelength abilities are called magic, so yeah.
2nd. Details: Use them!! Whatever your profile neglects to inform, does not do!! Be specific!! If you say it does one thing, it can not also do some other thing that you did not put up, and do not, and I mean NEVER, say that after you use an ability, and you have it do the illegal hidden ability thing, say that you forgot to add it in. Anything on the profile is how it works, if someone finds a way around what you have, then they have found a way, and there is nothing you can do about it.
3rd. Imperfections: No one is perfect, give your character some flaws, clumsy, slow, not smart/lacking intelligence, can not do anything unless they have eaten within 35 posts ago, etc.
4th. Weapon forms: Try to be something that you think is not to usual, like a tetsubo, or a flute, something less used. That doesn't mean that you can't choose normal weapons, by all means you can.
5th. Modifications: If you add something in, like the second ability/side effect thing, always, and I mean always, get it to be re-approved, or it could lead to real over powering and such.
6th. Overpowering: Certain attacks are overpowered, meaning to strong. A nuclear explosion is a definite example, no one can harness that power (except
Utsuho Reiuji) and it will be instantly denied. Try for powerful, but not too powerful, obviously.
7th. Format: Type out in a third person sort of view, no first person, it gets annoying, and use proper grammar.
8th. Special Occasions: Sometimes, people make a creative way to make a profile work, just so long as it is not too crazy. We will be the judge of craziness, well, I will be.
9th. Please use the profile skeletons when posting a profile. It makes everything better.
10th: No halfers!! You're either one thing or another. Not both. You're either witch, kishin, meister, or weapon. I know it kinda seems boring, but that's the rules.
