Iceroot Flowers
As their name suggests they are fairly large white flowers that have their roots in ice. Their roots give off chemicals that melt down the ice or snow they're in and make it into water to give them nutrients. Due to this they're endemic to the snowy region of the world. They use very small amounts of energy to carry out their processes to survive so in the right conditions can last for hundreds of years without wilting.

They don't work as drugs in this raw state. They have to be picked and quickly ground down into a fine powder and then placed in boiling water. This water then gives off a fine mist that causes mass hallucinations when it is inhaled meaning that although everyone is hallucinating they are seeing the same things. This could theoretically cause incidents such as dancing plagues and the like.

The smoke also isn't the only way of activating the active ingredient. If it is boiled and left to simmer in a closed space then assuming there is enough water it will eventually mix with the liquid. This will then cause it to become an extremely strong liquid that causes very powerful hallucinations if it is imbued by someone. It has a noticeable taste however but the strength of a sip is enough to put grown men into a catatonic state for an hour or more witnessing very vivid hallucinations.

For these reasons it's probably illegal in most places in the world as it's very dangerous.

Overuse much like other hallucinogenics will eventually cause the hallucinations to continue even when the drugs aren't being used. The damage is completely irreversible.

Flysstrvine

Flysstrvine is an ordinary looking plant vine that hangs from large trees. It is grey in colouring and has orange flowers on it. It receives no light and only grows in the darkest places in forests. For this reason it needs an alternate source of nourishment and instead eats small insects and animals. It gives off a scent that universally attracts creatures including humans to walk towards it and attempt to eat or mate with it. It is about as thick as a person's hand. When it is touched it makes the creature stick to it and become unable to move and then slowly begins to digest them by dragging them inside it's now softened body until finally absorbing it.

It is rumoured that humans have been eaten whole by it but there is no objective evidence. However it is not a fussy eater and will eat clothes as people have found out when touching it with gloves. The glove and the hand will all be completely gone.

Fortunately it is not the actual vine itself that is used in creating the drug. The orange flowers it has are the source of the scent and the source of the chemical active in the drug it makes. With a careful hand these can be cut off with no harm coming to the individual.

The flowers can then be eaten raw to gain their effect or can be ground down into a fine powder which has the same effect and may be easier to carry around or conceal. They will cause whoever eats them into go into a berserker state. It is not unusual for berserkers to use these on the battlefield as they have no mercy and will kill anything they see. During this state their nervous system is less potent as so pain will be lessened.

They may be thought of as supplies for war but may be illegal for civilians in some countries.

Overuse will eventually cause the user's body to wither. Their nervous system will become inflamed and in constant pain and their brain always exhausted without using the flowers.

Blacksauce

This drug has two different ingredients to make. It is made of two plants endemic to the wastelands. For this reason it is relatively new and is still being researched. First is the bark of a tree that has the appearance of another type of tree only dead. Often creatures that have eaten its bark or lived in it too long will be found inside dead as the bark is poisonous to nearly everything. For this reason it is rare to see a truly dead one. They have not shown a limit to how high they can grow either but due to the fact they grow incredibly slowly most are no more than about 12 ft tall. Removing the bark is a tricky job and should only be done by an expert. Anyone else is putting themselves in serious danger.

The other active ingredient in the Blacksauce comes from a large grey mushroom. This mushroom gives off spores which can cause coughing fits in organic creatures and that will cause the lungs to fill up with phloem, vomit and mucus and eventually cause them to drown in it. It is easily harvestable assuming that one is wearing suitable apparatus however and will stop giving off spores if pulled out the ground.

These two ingredients must be mixed together now. By burning the bark of the tree in a vial the gas it gives off must be collected and stored. This gas must then be cooled down until it goes solid again forming grey chemical crystals in the vial. After this the fungi must be placed in clean water and left to soak in it until the water has turned green. After this the water (without the mushroom in it) must be mixed and heated until it starts boiling. After around twenty minutes boiling it must be quickly cooled. It will now be a black sticky sauce like substance.

Blacksauce acts as a powerful stimulant sending the whole body into a state of heightened awareness. The individual will be filled with an unexplainable state of primal joy and will be able to count how many hairs a person has on their head and other such feats with relative ease. The effects can last days at a time and make whoever uses it full of energy for that period.

However after it stops being active their health will rapidly deteriorate. They will go into a heavy depression and be barely able to move. If a child were to use it these effects would kill them instantly. They will desire more Blacksauce as if their very life depended on it however a second dose would kill them in a matter of minutes.

After being nursed back to health they will return to normal. Though they could be thought of as addicts and will actively seek out more Blacksauce.

Overuse will cause certain death. A Blacksauce addict is likely to die within the year or less.
