It had been a few days since the Human studies class gave the students a new project to work on. Damien took a peek at the last project sitting on his table, the little blob was floating happily in its new jar and its warning label about being a ferocious beast. Oh little Anklebiter~ But the hellhound had more important things to study, like the snarling bunny in the mini carrier that he shoved it into after it broke free from the jar and proceeded to chase his scruffle and stray all around the room. "No, you are NOT getting out of there until you calm down." he said with a firm nod of his head and glared down at the creature gnawing on the bars for freedom. The other two were still in their jars, bouncing around in the confines looking to get out, but a swift shake to the jar to spin them around took care of their rowdiness. he wished that the old "Hit them with a newspaper." trick would have been able to discipline them. Discipline would have to wait, the project that he and his partner Sheridan had to do was observe, not teach rabid mini's how to sit. gathering up the glass jars in a dufflebag, and the carrier in a free hand, the hound set out from his room to go knock on Sheridan's door that was on the other floor. It was still surprising how much of the monster dorms was still left unexplored, so much still left to sniff. He was left in his own daydreams as he gave the door a couple of knocks, and a little bit of scratching to boot. "Hey, you there study buddy?"

"I'll be there in a mintue!."
Wait, was that the sound of a crash from behind the door? What was--several swears in a distant language drifted through the door, another crash, a loud snarl, breaking glass, and the sound of a very angry cat.
Another growl, followed by several moments of silence before the dragon at last emerged from the room, bag in hand with his three dust bunnies, eyepad, a notebook, and pen. It seemed perhaps one of the bunnies had escaped and his cat had tried to eat it, or maybe it was the other way around. Either way there was certainly a very angry evil cat now locked behind that door, and a rather displeased dragon bearing several scratches standing in the hallway.
"Shall we get started then."
He slung the bag over his shoulder, tail twitching behind him. The sooner they finished this assignment and thus were rid of those dust bunnies, the better.

Sometimes, it just sucked having sensitive hearing. Even though Damien stopped the scratching at the door, there was the occasional nick after every crash and slam and strange muffled sounds that filtered through the wooden material. "uh... you alright in there?" he asked warily, not really sure if he wanted to know or not.
Wait... that was a growl- NOPE, he totally did not want to know.
Taking a few wary steps back, he was greeted by the opening and appearance of the dark scaled boil that was destined to be his study partner. "uh Hi, yeah, yeah sure.... Is the roof okay with you?" he said blandly and tried not to stare too much at what had to have been fresh scratch marks on his arms.
The hell-hound couldn't help but feel like maybe the dragon needed the carrier more than he needed it himself. But it didn't make the scene any more awkward. "Uh.... you know, your arm is.... yeah, you sure you're alright?" he tried to ask quietly, considering that they were out in the monster dorm hall, where 1 foot long ears was a common occurrence.

The dragon had already taken several steps from the door before he stopped to look at his partner. The roof? He hadn't expected that, it seemed an increasing number of students had discovered the peace of the rooftops, though perhaps for different reasons than his own.
"The roof is fine."
He path shifted, now walking toward the stairs that would take them to the roof, ignoring the clink of the jars in his bag and what was most likely the angry snapping of one dust bunny in particular.
"Hmm? I'm fine."
A glance revealed the scratches he had chosen to ignore until that moment. Hmph, at least the damn cat hadn't bitten his tail.
"It appears cats and dust bunnies should not be kept in the same room."

The dragon didn't seem to be bothered by his new scars, though it did make Damien eyebrow raise in speculation if Sheridan was fine with it so was he. As long as it didn't lead with them visiting nurse cricket at the infirmary and himself steeping on bugs in his clunky boots. "If you say so mate, and yeah, same thing goes with bunnies and dogs apparently." he said with a shrug and swung the carrier around, the dust creature inside already had his glare set at the dragon.
"So.... I had a question." he asked as the got closer to the roof's door into open air. "They said to observe, observe what exactly? You got any ideas Sheridan?"

Sheridan raised a brow at the dust bunny in the carrier before returning its gaze with a threatening glare of his own. One false move and he would not hesitate to freeze any and all dust bunnies where they stood, hopped, whatever. Hmph, vicious little creatures, he'd take his cat of evil over those creatures living in his room any day.
"I suppose it means we watch them and see how they behave in response to various stimuli and how they vary among individuals."
Reaching out, the dragon pushed the door open, stepping onto the roof. A few steps away from the door, he reached into his bag to pull out one of the jars with his own little vicious monster in it, giving said jar a shake and a warning glare which was answered with more angry snapping. This must have been the dust bunny that had caused the commotion earlier.
His gaze then turned to Damien before he scanned the roof, then striding for a spot several yards away. It was as good a place as any to work on their project.

"Oh, I see." It was more of a general observation. Damien nodded in understanding and followed the dragon through the open door. "Oh yes, this is much better than being in some stuffy room with their stuffy scientific instruments!" he said in appreciation to the fresh air and the quiet atmosphere.
He almost felt bad for the little creatures hopping up and down in their containers as he laid his specimen containers out on the barely trodden floor.
He gave the one in the carrier a shake and a growl back to reconfirm his superiority over it and placed it in front of the two smaller ones. "Well we know for a fact that they become incredibly hostile as they mature." he stated as if it was a given. "But is it because of the sudden confinement or some kind of defensive behavior?" he asked the celestial dragon before plopping down ungracefully on the floor with a sigh. "You got any theories to share?"

Slipping the bag from his shoulder, Sheridan crouched to remove the three jars, placing them on the roof before settling to sit down himself. His tail curled, the tufted tip twitching back and forth like a cat...or a serpent.
"Perhaps, however this one was always aggressive."
Another poke at the particularly nasty dust bunny. This was the same one that had tried to take a bite out of his tail in class and started a fight with his cat thus leaving his room a disaster and said cat in an extremely pissy mood.
He placed the too small for its occupant jar on the roof before. But the others did not behave as this one did, at least not yet they hadn't. One still purred, staring out of the glass of its home longingly at the creatures outside, while the other...slept. This particular dust bunny, he was not sure if he had seen it do anything but sleep.
The jar in his hand, he cautiously unscrewed the lid.
"This one seems quite content to sleep all day, even after spending days in a jar."

Damien watched with scareling like curiosity at Sheridan's captured bunnies eyes were wide and unblinking at the one that was awake in his its jar.
"ahh, yours seem to be so docile, I'm jealous." he said in an appreciative tone, before staring at Amon like it was the dragon that grew an extra head. "Your not going to take it out are you? what if its just.... waiting for you to drop your guard like this?" he barked out in concern, he was already aware of how vicious they could be.
Even if his own were mostly docile too, one of them just enjoyed bouncing up and down in the bottle and the other liked to try and talk to the green tipped boil.
"Just be careful with it." he said from behind the glass jars like a bunny filled shield.

Sheridan paused a moment, the lid now completely loose on the jar, only a breath away from releasing the dust bunny.
"Only this one is docile, that one however tried to eat my cat."
He indicated to one of the other jars. The dust bunny inside that jar hopped around angrily, it's sharp pointy teeth bared threateningly. Every now and then it would jump for the lid, snapping at its prison as if it were searching for a way out. That jar he was never opening again, EVER.
The sleepy dust bunny however was another matter. The lid now removed from the jar, Sheridan turned it over to dump the creature inside onto his hand. It stirred, opened one eye, yawned, turned around, and promptly went right back to sleep.
"It's a shame they all aren't like this one."
If they were, they might have made good pets.

Peeking from behind his jump, glass covered barrier, Damien watched as Sheridan's little bunny plopped out.
How could something that could be so vicious be so cute? It just didn't make sense when he stared at the little sleepyhead and toward his own snarling one in its carrier. "Yeah, they would be great to have around when napping." he mused, wondering if his own less violent ones would enjoy sleeping next to the hound.
"Hey Sheridan, have you done anything with them?" he asked after the bunny began to snooze again happily.

Sheridan gave Demi a sideways glance, as if to ask if he had completely lost his mind. And yet there he was holding one of the dust bunnies, absently scratching behind one of its ears, an action the creature seemed to enjoy even as it slept.
"Only with this one. That one only managed to escape its jar because it found a way to knock itself of the desk and shatter the glass. It did not end well."
Even now, the vicious little beast he had spoken of was bouncing in its jar, flinging itself at the sides in an attempt to knock the prison over and free itself once again. This time however the dragon was quick to intercept, catching the jar and giving it a warning shake before setting it back firmly on its base. Infernal beast, it was not getting out of that jar again, not if he had anything to say about it.
As for the third one, it seemed it had learned from its fellow prisoner, bouncing against the side of its own jar. Oh great, he didn't want that one to escape either...shudder.

"Ah yours managed to break the glass jar too!" Damien said in astonishment, clearly the bunnies were smarter than they realized. After hearing the crash in his own room and watching the feral like mini chase his canines around, it was promptly lured into the crate by his own tail. "Yeah, no kidding." he said dryly watching out the corner of his eye at his own imprisoned bunnies in case the idea caught on.
Thankfully it was not the case. however the chatty one did find a new quick, spinning around and around in his glass jar before slumping down to the ground. "I think I got a "Special" one." he said with a lopsided grin to his partner in science. "You should read the sleepy one a story." he stated in the calm quiet atmosphere between them. "to see if they understand the spoken word."

"In retrospect, keeping them in breakable containers was not the best idea."
In his hand, the sleepy little dust bunny stirred with a broad yawn displaying all its many teeth. It may have seemed frightening for a moment, but quickly revealed the gesture was far from threatening as it circled once, then nuzzled into the hand that held it, making itself comfortable before...yep, right back to sleep.
"A story?"
Sheridan gave Demi a quizzical look. How would reading a story tell them anything? Hmm, maybe, but wouldn't just speaking to the creature determine the same thing? And well....he didn't really know any stories, most of his books were science texts.
A click of glass suddenly caught his attention, turning with a start to catch the jar containing his third dust bunny before it could take the example of the first and break its jar. Oh no you don't, no no no, you are never getting out of that jar! Creepy little thing, you are not getting anywhere near me!

Damien saw the bold escape that the bunny was trying to make too, and his hand shot out to halt it as well. "Well, they know how to problem solve, that's one thing." he said behind a wry smile. He couldn't help but feel proud of how smart the dragon's bunnies were, in comparison with his own. "Why not read it a story, maybe bonding with it might keep it tame, whenever he decides to not sleep." he stated with an air of indifference, the day when that mini decides to be active, the hound really hoped Sheridan would call him over to witness it. "Or i can try to hold it?" he said with a hopeful expression and his arms stretched out to the dragon boil. to hold a non- fidgety dust bunny was indeed a interesting idea that he couldn't push aside, and he did have one there so why not? "c'mon please, let me!" he said with a plaintiff whine, practically begging on his hind fee- oh wait, human form, right.
