********* was a busy body.

It didn't do just to sit around when she still had one more senshi to locate for her team. Of course, even if she did find that final remaining girl, she still wouldn't be able to lounge around. Oh no, it meant she'd still have to go back and forth from girl to girl (to boy in Waylon's case) to check in with them. Though, she was getting ahead of herself with those plans. First she needed to locate Victoria, then she could worry about splitting her time with each girl (and boy in Waylon's case).

Today, the small round manx was making her way through the neighborhoods surrounding Crystal Academy's campus. It was a very clean part of town, usually maintained in a near pristine manner. Padding about the neighborhoods was not even giving her the faintest tingle of an unawakened senshi's presence. With a sigh, she decided to visit the front yard of one of the houses. As she recalled, they had a rather old fountain in the front. The house itself was relatively young, but one could tell that the chipped fountain was a lame attempt to make the front yard look more "cultured." ********* figured she could stop by for a quick drink before moving along again.

However, as she approached, these plans were pretty much thrown out as she saw something familiar. Or rather, someone familiar. There was a white, nearly cream colored cat already at the fountain. Cats were common enough in this city, however, this one had a collar she was familiar with and two different colored eyes. However, something was very wrong with this picture. The cat she knew had a gorgeous golden star upon her forehead.

This cat had a darkened star that was the color of coal.

Cautiously, the smaller feline approached, letting her presence be known by a simple question. "Dahlia... is that you?"

It had been a long night... a night full of youma and a fledgling Lt that she'd helped to escort through the city for energy harvesting. It'd taken him quite a while to figure everything out, so in the end Dahlia had ended up being out very late, parting ways only when the sun began to creep into the sky.

Both Benitoite and Fukalite's homes were on the other side of town, so the creamy cat was left with nothing to do but move, looking for a nice, safe place to nap. In the end it'd been in an empty and aromatic garden in one of the nicer neighborhoods.

When she'd finally awoken, with a lazy stretch and yawn, she made her way back towards the street, pausing when she spotted the little fountain.

A small hop settled her on one edge and the cat peered in with soft interest. The water was clean enough, and just deep enough for her to play around in in if she really wanted to. She was still a little tired though... Watching a wasp dip against the waters for a drink, she reached out her paw tentatively, batting it with one quick pop under the water. There may very well have been a smile on her maw as she watched the little bug struggle to escape the water now that it's wings were wet, her tail swaying with amusement off the edge of the fountain.

Her ears twitched at the sound of her name. There were so few people who DID know who she was after all. Eyes lifting quickly to look for the source. But it was quick to found thanks to the strong light aura, her eyes narrowing in soft confusion on the small manx. Why did she know her name? Dahlia certainly didn't know her. Atleast not that she could recall. She didn't know any moon cats... not anymore.

She batted at the wasp once more, before replying back, feigning indifference despite her actual curiousity. "Do I know you darling...?"

Despite the uncertainties the manx seemed to feel at the moment, she didn't let it on. Instead, the feline padded up to the lip of the fountain, making certain to keep a respectful distance from the familiar one.

The way this cat spoke matched Dahlia's voice perfectly. Even her slight mannerisms with something in the water assured ********* that this was indeed the guardian she had known. However, despite now being convinced that this was Dahlia only brought new concerns. There was a muffled sense of dark energy coming from the paler of the two animals, a sure sign that Dahlia no longer served the Moon Kingdom.

Despite her concerns, her tone remained playful in a nearly kittenish manner. "I knew you when the star upon your forehead was a bright golden color, Dahlia. I feel that color suited you better than the current color you wear."

Bicolored eyes narrowed a little at the bit of information given, trying hard to dig some information out of the dredges of her mind. She searched for memories of the smaller tailless 'kitten', for anything familiar and was actually quite frusterated when she found nothing. It was the magic of corruption, some failsafe that protected senshi and those aligned with the moon. And it annoyed the living hell out of Dahlia.

To have the cat know her meant that the cat had some information she did not. How intimate a relationship did the two have in the past? Did she know of her quirks? Would it make it harder.. or even impossible to combat the other cat in a less physical way? So frusterating, her tail shivered unhappily.

But... the manx DID seem harmless enough. For now. And with her added size, she wasn't particularly worried of being ambushed, so her body relaxed, answering finally with a soft laugh. "Haven't you heard that black goes with anything? It really is a fashionable color."

Shifting her attention from drowning the poor wasp to the cat instead, she rested on the edge of the fountain loosely, her ears were quite perked and alert however. Curiousity obvious, aggression nonexsistant, for the moment atleast. "I don't really.. remember. So how about a name? I assume we worked together at some point?"

"Black is also the lazy man's way of matching." Despite the words having the potential of sounding like an insult, the manx's words were chipper without the tiniest bit of ill-will in them. Her tailless rump eventually lowered itself down so she was sitting.

"...you don't remember because the Negaverse got a hold of you..." From conversations she had with Asclepius, she knew that the senshi who got swayed to the side of the Negaverse also suffered very similar symptoms. Though, at least Dahlia didn't have a big gaping hole in her chest like the senshi seemed to have. Did that mean her symptoms were any less potent?

********* wanted to think so.

She already was second guessing herself as the words were tumbling from her maw. However, she wanted to believe there was still some good in this guardian. Maybe there was something that could be done for her. Maybe, just maybe, if ********* said the right words, maybe Dahlia's star would turn back to the gold color it had been before.

"I go by many names... I go by Cat, Miss Muffers, Sweet heart, Tiny Little Lady, *********>, and Cuddles. Aaaaaaaand... yes... we did work together a while back. You worked mostly at HQ, while I was pounding the pavement searching for my girls." Dahlia was one of those cats who preferred to have others do the work for her. It was not that she was lazy, but it seemed as if she felt entitled to staying put in one place.

Pleasant tone or not, the larger cat's ears immediately pinned back at the insistance of the smaller one. Was she trying to say that Dahlia was lazy? Sure it WAS easy for Dahlia to look lovely. She was blessed with a gorgeous body and coat and she knew just the best ways to exentuate her charm, so maybe she didn't need to work as hard as others to doll herself up. But lazy!? It was not a good foot to start upon. Dahlia never took too well to insults upon her person, appearance wise especially. "I can assure you I have no trouble when it comes to fashion"

I mean really... the bit of fashion advice WAS coming from someone with stripes. Plain old common stripes. And grey at that. And with no tail. Hardly one to lecture on the aspects of beauty. Perhaps frumpiness.

She was wearier now.. less apt to really listen. If she weren't curious in fact she probably would have simply jumped off and left the fountain and manx behind. Instead she remained, a slight sour puss on her face.

None of the names jumped out at her, and she was hardly up for playing guessing games, again annoyed by the fact that ********* had an upper hand on her information wise. The headquarter though... it was a detail she'd forgotten initally.. one that was coming back now that it had been mentioned. Could she still get into it? If she could get her hands on that kind of information...

Of course that meant.. play nice.

Sighing a little, she shifted and settled herself more comfortably, tail swaying softly. "That's true enough. My memory is still very fuzzy. Information or visiting familiar places might trigger it I suppose but.. it's something I'm slowly been working with."

This was definitely the cat she remembered. Even back when she had worked at the HQ, she was just as vain. And she was anything but soft-spoken. If someone insulted her tastes, she'd let them know within a heartbeat. As she had done just now. Such glimmers of the guardian she had known before were putting faith back into the manx, but even such faith had to be careful.

Dahlia's heart and being, despite the energy being repressed, reeked of chaos.

"Well, I was never all that in tune to what your duties at HQ were, so I don't think I'd be of any help there." She had stated it before, ********* tended to pound the pavement. Technically, the manx could show Dahlia where HQ was, but she knew it would be a bad idea.

"I know it must sound selfish of me, but I don't think just up and showing you anything will do you any good. It would be handing you a memory on a plate, if anything. If you truly want to remember... I think the memories need to come back from you. Not from me." Even with a list of possible names, the lovely white cat had not been able to distinguish which one was the manx's legitimate name. If she was truly trying, she might have at least attempted a guess.

"Everything with time I suppose.." She mused, thoughtfully.

"It really hasn't been that long since I... opened my eyes." It was the best word she could come up with. Since the day that everything changed. When she'd gained so much knowledge... and yet lost so much too. It had to be some kind of magic.. the same kind of magic that had once bound her eyes to the lies of the moon kingdom.

"Slowly but surely it'll all come back." People, places, events... they'd all trigger things. Atleast that's what she assumed. Or hoped.

The other cat seemed smart enough to not just lead her to the secret place, at least not off the bat. Which left them at a bit of a standstill. "So... how has the search been going? Awakening a lot of new senshi?"

It was one thing to hear a senshi speak in such a manner after being turned to the Negaverse. Senshi many times had to question what they were doing because they didn't have all of the details which made it easier to know which side was right versus wrong. To a senshi, the Negaverse could seem like a safe haven.

Yet, to hear a fellow Mauvian speak in such a manner (no matter how subtle) somewhat felt like treason. It felt almost as if someone stuffed a burr right next to her heart and the little prickles were irritating her inside her chest. Those of Mau always served the senshi. To succumb to Chaos would seem like a weakness of character. Astraea would have none of it! Of course, despite such thoughts drifting through her head, she kept her pleasant face on.

If anything, maybe with Dahlia's memories would come the realization that the white moon was truly where she belonged.

********* didn't even bat an eyelash as the other cat asked about the senshi. It was a fact that the guardians did such a thing. The Negaverse already knew it, so denying such a thing would be pointless. "I awaken the powers of who I am able... yes. My search has been quite good, but the search in general has not yielded any results."

She paused for a moment to lift a paw and n** at a bit of the fur there, as if she wanted to groom herself. However, it was a momentary thing and her paw was brought back down. "I would ask you how things have been going for you... or what you have been up to... but I suspect that would be nosy of me."
PostPosted: Mon Sep 19, 2011 1:13 pm

The other cat was either being guarded with her words.. purposefully vague and safe... or she was actually a bit of a simpleton. Dahlia was not 100% certain as of yet which the seemingly cheerful cat was.

"Mmm... I don't always mind nosy" Dahlia offered as she laid her head down on her outstretched paws, her eyes still locked on the smaller cat from her higher perch.

"I've been meeting the senshi on my side, taking part in missions where my.. expertise and skills might come in handy. Plus a little recruiting. Just a Lt this time but who knows, perhaps I'll get to do my own awakenings before too long."

"Or upgrades" She mused with a soft laugh. "My side might be small at the moment but... they are at least strong and quickly climbing the ladder."

"Very dedicated to their jobs and diligent." Maybe she was bluffing.. but not even so much. Was she trying to bolster her side though in the others eyes? Quite certainly.

Dahlia could tell that ********* head was nodding. Each time the smaller feline bobbed her head up and down, a cheery jingling noise chimed for all nearby to hear. All of this information was absorbed for what it was worth, though she did notice that the other had not lost any sense of pride since her switch. Dahlia always had a way of puffing up due to her ego in a sense.

"Each side has its strengths." ********* would have to be a fool to not acknowledge this. It was one thing she had noticed between senshi and the Negaverse. The senshi lacked organization, where as the Negaverse had everything in its place. As a cat, ********* could only do so much, starting with her own team. One paw in front of the other.

"It sounds as if you have your paws full." A small laugh escaped the manx.

Ever since Dahlia had mentioned the senshi of the Negaverse, there was a small desire that seemed to echo in the back of her mind. It was something that seemed to almost cause her tiny kitty heart to ache. Rather than hold such to herself like a secret, she then mentioned in her ever constant cheery tone "Perhaps I am asking a bit, but if you are able... I would love it if you could do me the simple favor of telling Sailor Hel that a friend of Vanessa's says 'hi.'" It was a girl she had awakened once upon a time. Yet now, she had switched to the side of the Negaverse. It still caused her a bit of guilt, for she knew if perhaps she had more answers, the girl might have not sought out the answers herself.

The poor girl's memories were the price for those answers she received.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 21, 2011 2:01 pm

There was a small upturn of her maw at the mentioning of strengths, but Dahlia didn't go out of her way to try correct or inform *********. Not that she would never try.. if they continually met perhaps she would try to sway the other cat. But to jump on it too quickly was sure to be a failure.

"It's kind of you to think so.." She murred with soft amusement. "But I'm up for the challenge. I can deal with having a whole lot on my plate."

Dahlia's ears flicked a little as ********* made her request, ears pivoting in a sign of interest and attention, and after a moment she gave a soft nod. "That sounds simple enough. I've yet to meet that senshi but as soon as I do I'll pass on your message."

Just keep in mind that favors beget other favors, she thought to herself, the tip of her tail flicking outwards in soft amusement.

Why did she have to mention a "plate," even if in a figurative manner? ********* could feel her tummy clench slightly in retaliation to the fact plates had been mentioned but no food was nearby. Alas, she could live for now with no food being put in her tummy. That was just something she'd remedy later.

"I appreciate it." Even if Dahlia never fulfilled the request, the fact it had been considered was good enough for *********. It wasn't like Sailor Hel would ever see the manx the same way she once had. They were no longer allies. They were now opposing forces.

"Well... it has been nice seeing you are doing well, Dahlia..." The manx could have mentioned the fact it was nice to see her alive, since from her experiences, the Negaverse had far less tolerance when dealing with a cat than with a senshi. However, that would have been quite passive aggressive if anything.

In a chipper tone, she offered a simple "I will see you when I see you!" With that, she turned around and began to pad off on her own way. Somehow, she didn't think taking a drink here would be a good idea anymore.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 26, 2011 6:31 pm

"Have a lovely evening" The call extended after ********* had already turned her back and began to walk away, the corrupted guardian watching until the manx disappeared from sight.

She her when she saw her huh? Perhaps so. She'd known her once before, and Dahlia wouldn't put it past fate to make their paths cross once again.
