There was the constant hissing sound of various colors of spray paint that were in the hands of a cobra teen who was doing what he did best, tagging things with what he saw as his mark. When he'd first started with this hobby he hadn't been really good... but as they said practice made perfect and he'd had a lot of practice and of late he'd been getting good, damn good. It was a shame that the things he was the best at, be it his spray painting skills or fighting, weren't exactly the sorts of things that you wrote home about. Instead it was the sort of thing that his father would have a damn fit about if he saw the thing... not everyone could be goody-goody types like his idiot older brother he thought to himself, giving a little hiss of his own before he he lowered his hand to gaze at his picture to see what he thought of it.
"I think it's looking good." He said, taking a step back so that he could marvel over the shape before him, a brightly colored cobra that had mantis wings, his mark that was a combination of his own animal and that of his woman, Z. She'd approve he was sure of him making such a boring a** park more bright and flashy with the mark he'd created specially for him he thought to himself, smirking a bit before he gathered his cans back into his pack and slithered on toward the next area that he'd picked out, another bare wall, and was soon marking that one up as well, "What do you think?" He asked, calling over to Baroness who was lazing around in the sun.
The dragoness opened her yellow eyes slowly to give the first wall a look then shrugged one shoulder, "It sucks." She said bluntly, giving a sharp toothed smirk, "If it were shaped more like me then perhaps it would be worth looking at... instead though its just you and that prickly girl you hang out with." Then best thing about Zyanya was the fact that when she was around that meant that her servant Hinder was about.
Ter paused a moment before he gave a snort, "I bet you would really like if I made it look like that Black you like, eh? Maybe I should get to doing a mural of Keir?" He said, flicking his tongue out at her in a taunting fashion.
Baroness gave a snarling sound, teeth barred, and she lunged to her feet, "Mention him again and I will bite your tail off!" She spat out, smacking her barbed tail against the ground in a manner that said she was going to give him only one warning before she stuck him with it... of course even if she did he'd likely be fine given his damn immunity to venom. At least it would hurt like Hell if nothing else! As if she actually cared at all about that one! She never wanted to see him again after what he'd done to her unless it was to bite his goddamn face off!
Giving a roll of his eyes Ter turned back to his painting, returning to the work at hand, ever amused by teasing her about that. She'd had a close call due to her affection toward that idiot of a black dragon... not that she would claim it as affection. It was the same sort of relationship that he had with Z, one that involved a lot of fighting, biting, and love.

Mariel watched her mothers car drive away and couldnt decide if she was happy or frustrated. Her mother cleaned houses and a new client meant she had to start right away to keep it. Of course without anyone to take care of her at home Mariel had to come along. She supposed she was happy that they had found a park so close by, it was better than just sitting in a strange persons living room...but still....she couldnt wait till she was old enough to have a dragon of her own so that her mother would be convinced that she was safe home alone.
Deciding to make the best of it Mariel shifted her backpack to a more comfortable position and decide to explore. Exploring always put her in a better mood, and sure enough it started working almost right away. She forgot her worries as she scurried around tree trunks tried to find hidden animals and listened to the different bird calls while trying to identify them. She noticed a strange hissing sound as she tried to pinpoint the location of a particularly interesting bird song. What could be hissing in a park? A snake? She listened again but before she could tell where it was from it stopped. Annoyed that she may have lost something interesting she continued to wander and track what she could until she heard rustling. But this wasnt just any rustling, this was a big something moving around! Mariels heart leapt for joy! She was about to find something GOOD! Maybe they would even put her in the history books. She could imagine it now, she would fins some strange dangerous creature and subdue it then she would be on those national geographic magazines and get carted all over the world to find things! It was a heavenly prospect and so she was off tracking the rustling sound.
Her tracking skills were still in a novice level but lucky for her whatever it was didnt sound like it cared what heard it. She followed and once it stopped moving she caught sight of it from behind a tree AND! oh....it was a dragon. Mariel Was happy to see a dragon but her famous explorer dreams evaporated. One thing did perk her up, the dragon was with a snake! She had been right about the hissing! She moved to the front of the tree and stared for a moment before saying anything. She had never seen a snake person quite like that before and the dragon itself was also very new. She felt her curiosity bubbling up and just couldn't stay quiet. "What are you doing?" She asked as she noticed the cans of paint. The hissing sound was probably the only reason she hadnt been heard first. "Are you an artist? Is that a picture?" Mariel wondered how creative snake people were, maybe she was meeting someone famous!

Ter was off in his own world, happily working on his picture, when he heard someone behind him asking what had to be the two dumbest questions in the history of the world. He gave a roll of his eyes before turning to look over at her, starring at the girl, then gave a bit of a snort. The fact that she was a girl, as well as one that was about the age of his little sister, kept him from replying in as sarcastic manner as he'd been about to answer in, instead he merely turned back to what he was doing, "I am making some bad a** art is what I am doing, leaving my mark on the world." Sure they could paint over it, and in some cases they did, but still that mark would be branded in their member given that they had to do so much work to get rid of it. It was always a ton of fun to go back to the ones that were painted over and redo them. He bet the jerks on the clean up crew had an aneurism when they realized that it was back.
He worked on the tag for a moment more before he paused, turning to look at the girl, and much to his surprised realized that she was actually still there... huh, she was going to be persistent like his sister, wasn't she? He gave a sigh as he shifted himself, turned, and settled back on his many coils, "Is there something you need, girly?" He asked of her, flicking out his forked tongue at her. She was an interesting one, wasn't she? Reminded him a bit of Maria given the height, the coloration of her skin and eyes, even a similar ear shape he thought to himself, "You got a name? Or would you prefer I keep calling you whatever comes to mind?" He could be quite creative when it came to the random names that he could come up with he thought with a be of a smirk.

"Putting your mark on the world? hmn" Mariel had to think about this for a moment. She had never thought that it could be so littoral. She had always assumed that leaving a mark on the world would mean something like getting things named after you or being in history books...even writing history. There was always of course Mariels own personal dream of being a super famous explorer, but this...well this concept was new to her. She walked a little bit closer to the snake boy and watched with interest at the way he moved and settled himself. She had never met anyone without legs and so his way of moving was exotic to her and she half wondered in the back of her mind how he would look walking, er slithering. She stopped, still at a safe distance, well assuming he wasnt like a rattlesnake and couldnt strike it was a safe distance. She looked at him, tilting her head like a puppy and letting her eyes roam over the whole matter and eventually roaming her eyes over to the dragon too. She prabably should have been more scared than she was but the whole situation was just too interesting to evoke a proper fear response.
"My names Mariel, but if a really good name for me comes to mind we can talk." Mariel replied not able to hide the interest and curiosity in her voice. Her eyes were now scanning the dragon close by, and it was such a large and dangerous looking creature. The only description she could think of was that it was a dangerous type of beautiful and so different from Tural and Vorrel. "Is this your dragon? Its so different from the other dragons I have seen. It looks like it could eat me right now, I have never met anything like that before." Mariel couldn't help being in awe of it, it was like standing next to the ocean during a storm. It didn't look particularly friendly and with all those spines it probably wouldn't even be a real effort to kill her and yet like a particularly artistic car crash she just couldnt look away.

"Yep, this way people will know that I was here." And more then likely they would be pissed since he was quite certain that he'd tagged this place a couple months ago and someone had come through to clean it up. Heh, morons. As though he wouldn't be coming back around to do his rounds of tagging. This park was among the places that he considered 'his territory' and wasn't about to let anyone try to say otherwise by erasing what he put down.
Turning to look over at the girl when she said her name he starred for a moment, then looked back at the wall, "You rather remind me of my sister." He said as he traded out colors for another one that was in the bag, this time a rather bright green to add accents to his picture to really made it eye catching. Once he was done with that color he looked quite pleased with how everything had come out. Really he did love this mark, it was special and it was one that, when you saw it, you knew who it represented. He wasn't some coward that just painted random crap on a wall just to say he did it, he did a mark that represented him and Z, almost daring people to say something. Thus far they hadn't. Who wanted to go up to a venomous creature his size to tell them not to do something after all? Especially given the company he traveled with. He was pretty well certain that the reason he hadn't been in trouble was just that, a combination of his venom and Baronesses... everything.
As Mariel mentioned his dragon and what she thought of Baroness he gave a chuckle, "Sounds about right, I will warn you now that unless you give her something tasty or shiny she's a huge b***h and will more likely growl at you then anything." Baroness needed to have her affections bought by strangers and other dragons, something he'd learned long ago, and warned people about. He'd rather they didn't think her all fluffy, cute, and dumb like Geia's dragon was only to end up with a missing hand because they tried to pet her without permission. He turned back to his drawing then, inspecting it closely, then nodded in a pleased manner, "Done here, I am heading to the area under the the bridge, are you following us for a while or going to play somewhere else?" He asked of Mariel as he started to pick up his mess of cans, putting them all back in his bag safely and zipped it up.

"Oh I'm gonna follow you!" Mariel piped up excitedly as she snapped out of her reverence for the deadly dragon. She hoped that her dragon would be dangerous looking to, that would be really cool and maybe then mom would be ok leaving her by herself. She wondered what the snake boy meant by her reminding him of his sister, she had never met a snake before had she? She thought hard for a moment trying to remember any other snakes she had met but nothing came to mind. Who could possibly be his sister?! She had definitely met many girls but they were all...er...well they were all not snakes. Mariel made her way closer to the snake and asked "Why do I remind you of your sister? And dont forget you gotta tell me your name too or its not fair." mariel reminded the snake boy about his name. As it was her mind was already labeling him with a name but "snake boy" was to unimaginative to stick so she was toying with something closer to "leviathan" or "serpentine", she liked using big words whenever she got the chance.
Mariel didnt move right away as she waited for the snake man and his dragon to start walking. She was intensely curious as to their way of moving. She was pretty sure she figured out the dragons way of moving. based on its form it looked like it could just walk and use its wings as props but she still wanted to see it. And the snake was what totally perplexed her, she had never seen anything without legs move before and she couldnt wait to see it. She hoped that she wasnt staring but if she was then she didnt quite care enough not to, this was too good an opportunity to try and figure out how he works. But of course she had tons of questions bubbling up about the dragon too. These two didnt look like the type to stand politely and answer questions so she figured she could ask and still be able to watch them move.
"So whys your dragon grumpy? Did it come that way? I dont have anything tasty so will it eat me? Wow it would wont it, thats so COOL!" mariel still couldnt get over the slight adrenaline rush she got being so close to something that would eat her. She was pretty sure the adrenaline was for escape or something like that but it was a fun feeling none the less.

Ter wondered what he thought about the fact that she was following... a bit pleased, it meant that he was interesting enough to gather more female fans. A shame she wasn't older though, she might be more interesting to hang out with. As it was it felt as though he were hanging out with Maria, "You have a similar look to her color wise, a similar name, and about the same age." He said to her, turning to look over at Baroness, "We are heading to the bridge, you coming along?" He asked of her, getting a yawn and a bored look as his reply. With that the dragoness pushed up onto her clawed feet, stretched out her large pair of wings, and took to the air to head swiftly in that direction without bothering to look back. She knew that Ter would catch up eventually, she was his ride home after all.
The snake teen gave a bit of a chuckle as he watched her go, flicking his tongue out at her retreating form before looking over at Mariel, "No fair, huh? You will get used to things not being fair." He said in a teasing tone of voice, "As for my name is Ter." The only name that he shared, his real name was a lot longer which was just annoying to have to use on anything other then official D-Corp crap when it came his way. It was about the only thing he took seriously, because those guy gave him his dragon and despite his few screw ups when it came to her care he meant to keep her as his partner no matter what. Once said was gone from earshot Ter answered the question that the girl posed to him, "Baroness is a she, as for that... she came that that. She's been a hissy b***h since she hatched but it's gotten worse with age, she has a bit of an ego. No idea where she got that from." He said, as though he didn't have a massive ego himself. With a fanged grin on his lips he grabbed up his bag, tossing it over his shoulder, and started to slither after the large shadow the dragon was casting on the ground. He was sure that she would beat them to their destination and would likely be perched on the bridge hassling those walking by when they arrived.

Mariel nodded at the information that snake-er Ter was giving her. It was rather interesting and now she knew that the dragon was also a she! She was learning so much! She wondered if alot of dragons were grumpy like that and half hoped that hers would be dangerous but happy. An impossible mix but of course since she hadnt even seen the egg yet she still had TONS of possibilities going on in her head about what she would find. Mariel watched the snake slither away and instead of trying to keep up to his side she walked a little behind him to watch his coils and movements. "Wow I have never seen anyone walk without legs before." She tilted her head in different directions to try to get the best possible look at everything moving. This of course made her braid swing around as well and Mariel found she would have to swat it away every once in a while when it hit her face. It was a little hard to follow Ter's movements since it wasn't exactly a straight line.
"Have you always walked like that? Did you have to learn to do that?" Mariel asked as she continued to stare at his coils moving. She was probably being rude but her curiosity had already taken over so she really didnt care, she just wanted to know. She noted how Ters body was shaped and for the first time (since she was studying him) she noticed that he had no clothing! "Your not wearing any clothes! Mariel spoke initially with a shocked tone that everyone uses when such a revelation occurs. But the more her brain chewed on the concept the more she realized..."But you dont LOOK naked...Howd you do that!?" Mariel was very confused.

The first thought to come to mind for Ter was 'are all children this chatty?' Though that kind of answered itself given the ones that he had met so far were just that, seeming never to stop with the talking. Not that he supposed that he minded to terribly much, not as though this person were talking trash or anything. It was people that spoke in a trash talking manner that Ter made sure to pummel extra hard. Turning to look down at his coils then back to the girl he gave a shrug, "I don't think I remember really learning it, it was always something that came naturally to me." He told her, not seeing anything special about slithering, especially when he'd seen other snake types do it. Still, just the fact that she seemed in awe over it was enough to stroke his ego, nothing that someone like Ter needed.
At the mention of his lack of clothing he gave a bit of a chuckle, "Clothing is over rated for someone like me, besides I like lazing in the sun to much." It was pretty pointless or him to wear clothing since he didn't need the clothing and because he did need the sun light. On a good, hot day he felt like he could do anything. The same couldn't be said for the winter though, having always hated that season with a passion.
"Eh? Don't look naked?" He asked, looking himself over, "Probably all the scales." He said, holding one hand out closer to her so that she could see that he was covered from the tip of his ears to the tip of his tail with scales of various colors, browns, blacks, and a bit of off white, all the colors that made him good at hiding among the shadows so that he could pounce on people! A wonderful skill if he'd ever had one since it made him damn good at ambushing the people that he wanted to deal with swiftly.

Mariel listened as Ter shrugged off her comments about learning to walk without legs and his lack of clothing. She was sure there had to be more about the walking part. How could he just walk like that? She had never seen it before, could she learn to do that? Well then again his body was kind of differently shaped....Before her thoughts could really run away with all of this he offered his hand to show her what he meant by scales. Mariel oohed and ahhed as she got her face as close as possible to get the best vantage point. They were like little plates, VERY little plates...no more like puzzle pieces since they all fit together. She glanced up at Ter to make sure he still wore that uncaring look before she ventured to touch his hand. She brushed her finger across his hand and immediately retracted it with a surprised squeak. "Your cold! Like a dead body! Mariels eyes were as wide as they got which meant for a second her eyes probably made up half of her face. She had only ever heard about dead bodies in books and movies but they were always described as cold, and living people always felt a little warm and Ter was definitely not warm.
"You dont look dead, are you dead? Are you like a Zombie? Is that why your cold?" Mariel had never met a zombie before. Maybe this was why he was so different. YES It all made sense now. If he was a zombie it would explain why he walked funny, and didnt wear clothing, and of course why he was so cold. Or he could be a vampire, they were supposed to be cold too. "Are you a zombie or a vampire? Are you gonna eat me?....Hmn you are a pretty dark color so....maybe a zombie, vampires are supposed to be pale right? amd I right?" Mariel was rather pleased with herself for figuring it out with just one touch. but she did make sure to add about a foot of space in between her and Ter just incase. You could never be to carefull when there was a zombie around.

Ter couldn't help it as his mouth twisted up into a bit of a smirk as he was compared to a dead body, that was a new one but still something that he found to be rather amusing, "Is that so? I suppose. How my skin feels all depends on the weather, it's not nearly as hot as I would like and it reflects in me feeling cold." Come winter he would be doing his best to avoid the outdoors like the plague, unlike his brother who could run around in shorts and barefoot in the winter due to what he was. It was one of very few thing he envied Geia for, not that he'd admit it out loud. The end of tail twitched at just the idea that someone might even be able to read his thoughts and pick up on such a terrible thing as him envying Geia of all people...
The girl kept going with what she was saying about him, guessing at other reasons for his cold skin asking if he were dead, or a zombie, or a vampire, and he gave a bit of a laugh, "None of those things, I'm a cobra. Got the hood and everything." Not that it was open at the moment, "As tempting as it might be I think your a little to young to be eaten by me, come back to me when you're a little older and we will talk." He said in a teasing voice, grinning to the point his fangs were showing. He was sure that the girl would never understand what it was that he was actually referring to so he could really say anything he wanted to say.
Turning back his current work on art he eyed it closely, debating on if there were anything that he wanted to add to it before he deemed it done, "Got another one done. It's always best to put these up over the ones that the park's department have just cleaned up." He chuckled in a devious sort of manner, enjoying the fact that he was likely breaking the sanity of those in charge of graffiti clean up. Turning back to the girl he gave her his attention once more.

Mariel tilted her head as Ter explained that he was as warm or cold as the outside was. It was a very strange concept for her so she didnt entirely believe him.But she filed it away in her memories to look up later in the library or on the computer. "A cobra..." That went into the little memory file to look up later as well. She half hoped that he was covering something up and he really was a zombie but even if he wasn't it was all still pretty cool.
Mariel let out a sigh of relief as Ter said she was too young to be eaten. It meant she didnt have to be on her guard at the moment. She wondered what he meant about talking when they were older. Would she need a favor from him and trade one of her fingers? or a leg? Did he eat other people? She resolved to never need to ask Ter for a favor when she got older, she didnt want to have to pay him with one of her limbs. It just sounded too costly...well he said they would talk so maybe she could go out an hunt something for him. She was getting pretty good at catching ducks.
"So you have to put them where you had them before? Why is that? Wouldnt you want to put them where the cleaning people cant find them? That would make them last longer in the park wouldnt it?" Mariel was still new to this marking your territory concept but it seemed to her that if the marks lasted longer it would be more desirable. That was when she got an idea. "Why dont you put that clear coat stuff on top of it if you want it to last long? My mom puts that on our fence so when the mean kids come and mark all over it she just sprays it with paint thinner and it takes off the kids marks and the clear coat but not the paint. Then she just paints on the clear stuff again." Mariel didnt know if her suggestion would work on such a small mark since her mom always did it to the entire wall, and of course the wall was only a single color but it sounded like helpful advise to her.

Ter gave a bit of a shrug, "If I painted them up where the cleaning crew wouldn't see them then nobody would see them." He explained and he wanted everyone to see the mark that he painted even if it were only temporary... or so he thought. He seemed to be listening rater intently as the silver haired girl told him all about the clear coat that her mother used to protect their fence and he couldn't help it as his mouth twisted up into a bit of a smirk, "Oh, really? Clear coat, huh?" So just a bit of paint thinner and it would remove the paint that those idiots used to cover up his stuff, huh? Oh man that would be an amazing way to drive them even more crazy he thought to himself, the end of his tail swishing in a delighted manner.
"I will be sure to pick some of that up when I am at the store next." He said, pleased as anything to learn about such a wonderful thing as the clear coat. It would most certainly be something that he would put to the test soon enough. If it worked then it would be more then worth the cost of the stuff since it meant that he wouldn't have to keep replacing his marks, something that always bugged him since spray paint didn't come cheap. Not to mention that his father was always a little suspicious when he asked for money since the man could only hazard a guess as to what the snake would be doing with it.
Turning to look over at Mariel he said, "I am gonna head out of the park, see about getting a snack. You tagging along still?" Because her tagging along with him would be a wonderful influence on the girl, not to mention that she was giving him all the best ideas.

Mariel felt rather proud that Ter seemed to want to use her idea to keep his marks on the park walls longer. She was glad she was always asking why her mother did things, now she was able to help people that she just met. She was so smart! She mentaly patted herself on the back and then thought over Ters offer to go get a snack. She really didnt have anything else to do...she looked at a small pocket watch that she kept attached to her shorts and chewed on her lips in thought. She still had at least an hour before her mother was done with cleaning....ah why not. Ter was fun and he did strange things. She wanted to see what he was going to do next.
"Sure I'll come with you for a snack. So long as I'm back when my mom finished her job." Mariel started following Ter in her usual inquisitive bouncy way and decided that she should know where they where going. "So where are we going? Is it fun? As Mariel said it she looked at Ter and tried to guess what kind of food he ate. He was a snake-zombie-cobra-vampire and he had some sharp teeth. She had seen them pocking out when he talked and smiled. He prabably ate meat...that was good she ate meat too, but then again they were kids and so he probably ate candy...but Ter was...less kid than she was soooo.....
Ter what kind of food do you eat? Do you eat regular food? cause you look less like a person so do you eat different? Mariel tried to stop herself as soon as she started talking but it just came out. She just HAD to know. Cause he was definitely different so maybe he ate really different things.
