The big yellow male was happy. Having met a good multitude of rogues, he was happy with his decision to leave the Mwezi pride after all. It had taken him a few moons to decide but it had turned out to be one of the best decisions he had made..ever. He had a life now! With a smile, he crushed the grasses under his paws, watching as night fell over the savannah. Fireflies were sparking here, and there, and he watched them flicker for a moment before he yawned. Traveling was hard work and he had done alot of that in the past few days.
He had heard a river nearby, and debated if he was thirsty enough to go find it.. When he decided he indeed was far too lazy, he plopped against the earth, and yawned again.

Raimi lay sprawled out with his satchel of pelts resting neatly next to his head. He had a good haul. It was almost time to return home to his pride and start work on what he collected. He missed his son and daughter. They were adults now and full members of the pride. His son had become an actor- something which overjoyed him because now he had a son to make costumes for. Most of the pelts in the bag was for him anyways. He stretched his paws out and turned over on his back so he could look up at the sky. Ah he liked being away from his pride every now and then.
------------------------------------------------------
Chander would never return to his pride. He was far too happy where he was. He was almost positive he'd never join another pride whatsoever. No matter what the circumstance. But that was neither here nor there. It really didn't matter..
He stretched out his paws and lifted himself off the ground once more. He needed to find somewhere maybe a bit more sheltered if he was going to call it a night. The middle of the savannah in the night was likely going to cause unwanted attention. So he started off once more, keeping his thoughts on somewhere he could rest for the evening.
----------------------------------------------------
The white lion gave another long yawn and stretched out his front paws trying to touch whatever was above him, perhaps a cloud or the sun. Either way it was time he had gotten up and returned home. He couldn’t be too long; he had to make furs for the king as well. And though the king allowed him to work outside the pride he was still held to some standard of time he had to live by. He rolled over and got up slowly then nosed his heavy bag onto his shoulders. He really hated to leave his soft patch of ground. He was so comfortable there. But alas, he wasn’t a member of pride royalty so he couldn’t enjoy the luxury of being lazy. He padded towards Suko’Fumo easily spotted with his brilliant white pelt. It wasn’t as if he was hiding himself anyway.
-------------------------------------------------
He saw the bright lion, almost like a beacon within the evening. The darkness made him stick out a bit like a star, and he rather wondered if he was hunted alot due to the pelt he had. Chander had been hassled a few times, but his mere size was enough to have others leave him be. He was lean, but tall, and he could easily tower over another lion. Though others had bigger muscles, he made up for it in speed and height.
"You had best run and hide from the dark. You stick out like a sore thumb. One, very white, sore thumb." The male called out.
-------------------------------------------------
Raimi turned his head calmly and saw the other approach. “Yes sore thumb I am, but if I wanted to hide I could. I just choose not too.” He really didn’t see a need too anyway. He was confident in his own skills as a hunter and a defender. He had to be with all the pelts he needed for his pride. He didn’t exactly stick to killing ‘prey’ animals. He had attacked and killed many felines- this one would just add to his pelt collection if he attacked him. He did like his pelt- it had a cheary yellow; something his son would look handsome in for his next play.
“So what are your intentions?” He asked cooly. He had no time for chit-chat if the other did feel like killing him. He just wanted to get it over with.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Intentions? So now no one can meet anyone without having a hidden agenda? Oh I think thats so cliche'." He said with a wave of his paw. He was usually pretty genuine, even if he was being sarcastic it was painfully obvious. He looked over the males bag, and raised an eyebrow. He smelled flesh, and he was assuming it wasnt rainbows and butterflies within it.
"Im sure you could hide. I was merely making an observation. Call it, breaking the ice."
----------------------------------------------------
He relaxed at his words. ‘Thank God.’ He was too tired and too lazy to kill somebody tonight anyways. “That’s a poor way to break the ice in the middle of the night. HI would have been more appropriate.” He raised a gruff eyebrow. “Your lucky you ran across me. I’m pretty peaceful unless provoked…call it a warning if your thinking anything.” His eye shifted towards his pelt filled bag and looked up at the other.
“Observations are best kept to one’s self. It gives away your defensive position. Just a word of warning.” Oh Raimi was certainly grumpy tonight.
--------------------------------------------------
"Only if one was looking to be defensive. You act as if I was fearing you. If that was the case, why on earth would I have called to you? That seems so very counterproductive." The male chuckled, obviously unafraid of the male but making no move to make himself a threat either. He really was only teasing, as was his nature. He liked pushing others buttons. It wasnt his fault the male was easier than most to annoy it seemed.
"Well I was thinking of a warm lioness curled into a nice den with me tonight to cuddle and snuggle me. But Im taking it, thats not what you meant." He grinned.
------------------------------------------------
“Because…” He seamed to snort out. “Some lions are to brazen to realize that the have absolutely no chance before they call out a challenge…” He then paused. “…like the firekin…” He quickly added rather disliking everyone from that region. “Now I don’t believe your one of them…your YELLOW…and not RED. But like-wise I don’t take my chances sa’avy?” He was getting more and more annoyed. He wanted to be cuddled in his den with his family. Not talking to some cub with a chip on his shoulder.
“I don’t think a lioness could put up with you…” He mumbled to himself.
-----------------------------------------------------
"I think many have put up with me, my friend. A great many, Id rather not count them, but I remember all their faces." He said, his eyes holding that delicious happiness he had when he had been with them.
"You, are not such a friendly guy. And to think! I was trying to be nice." He grinned. "Well, if you want, I can leave you to your.. bag of death there."
He smiled again, obviously amused by the whole scenario..and obviously more and more amused by the white lions annoyance.
-------------------------------------------------------------
“You weren’t trying to be friendly-I know friendly. That was FAR from friendly.” He was getting agitated and wanted to go back to his pride, or lie under his tree…anything but this place right now. This is why he had joined a pride in the first place. So he could have his own den to be away from blatant idiots like this one.
“I take that back…I don’t think a lioness could stand to be with you for what- more then the five minutes it takes for you to get your jollies? Open your mouth and they’d bolt right out of your cave I bet.” He snorted at the other lion. He grimaced at the thought of not knowing his own mates face or enjoying her conversations.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh they like my mouth. I can even have you ask them if you want." He winked, obviously inviting him to think whatever he wanted about the statement.
"Well. It was a pleasure meeting you. Er, not really. But Im sure it could have been if you hadn't been such an a**. So, with that. Have a great evening." He winked again and turned to leave, flicking his tail and smiling all the way back home.
