Though many people might not call him one, down to his core Corey was definately a business man. Not the kind that wore suits.. or drove fancy cars. But a man with a shrewd sense when it came to money and ways to make more of it, spend less of it.
So when he stepped into the boutique, a very fashionable and sheek looking little place, in his ratty hoodie and torn jeans it should have been fairly obvious he wasn't exactly a customer. Really he could care less what he dressed like. Funny or gamer shirts were always fun and dandy.. but really he'd wear anything. And wear it and wear it and wear it until it was falling to pieces and he finally, begrudingly, had to throw it away.
His reasons for coming actually had nothing to do with clothes! He simply thought it was a very good idea to make friends with as many of the local business owners as possible. You never knew when you could band together to drum up business or where you'd find a connection that got you a great deal on something. He wasn't sure if the people that went into the boutique would be the sort that would also come to the arcade.
But this was a shop owner he'd yet to meet yet, and Corey was beyond almost anything else a social butterfly.

Phina was standing behind the counter ringing up a few purchases. A pair of teen girls had grabbed the last of her favorite purses and chittered about how nice it was to find them on sale. Phina could help, but to smile at the girl who thanked her and happily hurried on their way, spewing something about lessons and jealously.
Phina shook her head and came from behind the counter. She worn a skirt that showed of her long legs, which was a common occurrence. Anything that showed off her best assets were things she stocked her closet full off. She looked up when the door opened and went rather wide eyed at the specimen that had just walked into her store. She wondered momentarily if he was looking for a make over then.
"Hello," she said making her presence know walking right over to him to help, because it seemed he might need it.

Talk about customer service. He'd only had a few seconds to gaze around at the colorful racks of clothing and acessories before he'd been approached, turning to offer a friendly grin in return. "Well hello Miss"
She was a pretty thing, which he'd of course expected in a shop geared towards fashion. He had in fact noticed the legs she'd been careful to highlight, approving silently. And she was even legal! That one he was a little surprised about, but pleasantly so. Either this was the owner or they just hired an older crowd. Which was it though?
"Corey Boone" He offered his hand out mildly, if she wanted to take it she could, otherwise it would drop back down to his side after a few seconds. "This is a nice place you have here. I was walking by and realized I'd never actually been in here before." Gee, what a surprise!

Phina extended her hand to the new comer making to shake and trying very hard not to roll her eyes at the obviousness that he had not been into her store before.
"It is very nice of you to visit us. My name is Seraphina Lace, I am the owner. Perhaps there is something I can help you with. It's not to busy right now, so your in luck. You've got my full attention."
Phina had to admit despite his shabby dress, he looked fun and his name seemed familiar. Hadn't she heard some of the teenagers talk about a Corey before. She was certain she had.

His shake was brief but enthusiastic, hands immediately falling to rest easily at his pockets after he had withdrawn it. Fashionable clothing wasn't really his thing, but that didn't mean he couldn't admire the place. A welcoming burst of colors welcomed you when you entered, smaller impulsive buy items set near the registers, the light was good, bathing everything in a pleasing glow. He seemed to nod in approval as she confirmed that it was indeed her place, and that all the things he'd been admiring were her handy work.
"It's a really classy looking place. I'm impressed." He complimented geninuely before hitching a thumb up and over his shoulder, pointing towards the door. "I own the arcade down the road a couple blocks."
Her offer of attention was met with a wide smile. Sure he hadn't really come to buy anything... but it was rude not to atleast look. And besides, Corey never turned down a pretty girl. Tapping his jaw thoughtfully for a moment, he finally gave a sheepish grin and soft shrug of his shoulders. "I really am hopeless when it comes to this stuff. What is it girl's like these days? I remember back in highschool it was all about the fancy brand name shoes."

Phina smiled pleasantly, greatly enjoying hearing her establishment complimented. Yes, she loved her business and she and her employees put a lot of time into making sure the place looked its best and they themselves as well. She was quite proud.
"Thank you," she said, "we work hard here at the boutique to make sure it is the finest ..." She blinked then realized, "oh yes. I drive by there when I come to work. I've heard the teenagers talk about it, them seem to love it. A job well done then huh?"
She grinned linking arms with him when he gave a grin and shrugged, "well I cannot speak for everyone, but I like a bit of neatness and a nice pair of jeans. Good shoes are great too, but everything need not be brand name. You find some of the best little pieces in places like H & M or even Target," she spouted giving Target a French pronunciation.
She pulled him a long, "now for you I think I have some nice jeans and a couple of really nice hoodies to try. Come lets find them."

He understood the pride in her shop. He felt the same thing as she mentioned having heard of his own, grinning a little as she mentioned the good things she'd heard. "I always loved the arcade when I was younger" Or now even still.. If he didn't own his own he'd likely be spending WAY too much money at some arcade somewhere. "It's nice to be able to share your passion and actually enjoy work. Not be one of those suckers that putters through work everyday just waiting for the clock so they can go home."
He didn't fight at all when she looped her arm in his and began to lead him. Oh no, he was too tied up in enjoying the soft smell of her perfume or shampoo, and nodding like a fool as she gave him the free advice. As far as he was concerned she could lead him where ever she wanted, put him in whatever she wanted. The only time he might pitch a fuss would be if that trip was quickly towards the cash register.
Jeans were good! And reasonable prices, that was amazing! Neat he wasn't so sure about.. always a fan of comfort.. and besides he was imagining some button up shirts with collars.
The word 'hoodies' however quickly drew him back, looking around as he was led. "You have a wide selection of colors? I love colors."

Phina decided to stir him over to the jeans first stopping and holding him at arms length sizing him before moving over to the wrack of jeans, "I have lots of colors, for shirts, but most of the hoodies come in black, white and grey, but I do have purple and red."
She pulled out a simple more plain pair of jeans in what she thought was his size and handed them to Corey, as well as another pair that looked much the same but were slim jean. "Don't worry i will try to put you in some nice colors. It always best to wear the things we like."
She was pulling him along again over to the t-shirts first, grabbing a few coloful ones, before grabbing a white button shirt. She didn't know if he would like that, but she often tried to pair the nice hoodies with the button downs, buttons open. Finally they made it to the hoodies and Phina proceeded to pull hoodie after hoodie from the wrack, white, blue, black, grey, red, red and purple, and plain purple.
She grinned at Corey ready for her favorite part of any shopping trip other that taking the stuff home. "Let see how some of this things," and by some she meant all, "look on you. If you like them, I'll maybe see about a discount of two." Note, letting Phina dress you like a doll was always an added bonus at the cash register.

Corey dutifully allowed himself to become a packmule as Phina looked through the racks and slowly layered piece after piece over his outstretched arms. He nodded appreciatively as he handed each shirt his way, looking at them curiously.
He'd never seen such fancy hoodies before, with so many buttons and zippers and.. things apparently just for the sake of looking good. As long as it was comfortable though, he supposed it didn't matter what they looked like.
When the time came for the dressing room he shuffled in and began to disrobe, more than a little impressed to find how well she'd gauged his size just by sight. Maybe she'd been checking him out a little more then he'd realized? The thought brought a goofy grin to his face for a moment as he worked to pull one of the hoodies over the button shirt. Maybe it was just a trick of the trade though, something she'd picked up with experience.
The clothing fit him pretty well, probably too well for his own tastes. He lifted and moved his arms a little, feeling the tauntness compared to his usually baggy and loose threads. It wasn't too tight though, and the desire to impress and/or flirt with the store owner quelled his worries.
Stepping out, he ran a hand through his hair mildly. "Well, what do you think?"
-------------------------------
Corey lingered in the shop for far longer than he should have, attempting to flirt while still trying not to actually buy anything was difficult. It was too bad he couldn't just make it rain money. But eventually, when another actually paying customer appeared, Corey bowed out, offering the lovely woman a smile, her clothing, and scrawled across a small scrap of paper his telephone number.
Maybe she'd even bite for a 'date' #2.
