Desmon awaited quietly in his cave, having been waiting for Izanami. She had been coming at least twice a week, sometimes more ever since his little "black-mail", though he doubted that was what brought her back. She seemed interested in his stories, as he was interested in learning about her plants. When he was sharing stories or she was sharing information about plants or her memories he found himself not as bitterly dwelling on memories of Keri. It made his life easier, more relaxed. He had something constant to look forward to, and an excuse to not be lonely. Yes, even he grew lonely.
Today? An old friend had found him. Friend may have been to strong a word, perhaps partner-in-crime. Ah, weren't they the same? His tail flicked over a hanging necklace in his den, remembering the tale behind it as it was an legendary artifact he had lovingly stolen. What was he looking for?
The item Sayre and him had stolen. It had been a set, one she had kept, the other he. Why? Because she was at the mouth of his cave, waiting.
"How long has it been since that day?" They had set out to steal twin artifacts, just once, and vanished from one another lives since. Sayre was allowed in his den merely because she was one and the same as him. Except... she had a mate. And was pregnant.
There was that bitter feeling again...

Sayre leaned against the cave of her old friend. She reached into her fluff and checked on the item. Still there. She eyed Desmon. "Geeze... Years." She chuckled at remembering the wild times she had. "What have you been up to after that day?" She wiggled into a more comfortable position with her pregnant belly.
She looked over at Desmon, he seemed, shall she say... off. Sayre ws never the one to pry so she left it alone. Might as well lay there and bask in their young glory days of mischief, adventure, and... other things.

Ah, there it was. His tail flicked to cup an earring made of silver, adorned with crystal markings and sapphire orbs. Just one was worth millions in the human world. In the Modifox world? Priceless.
His eyes rolled to glance at Sayre, chuckling. "Years? I feel old, now." Carefully, he set the earring down so Sayre could see it. He glanced over, noticing her belly, again, and then looking away.
"I've met a person I protect, though she is not my mate. I've had a "romance" and lost it. That is all, though you seem more successful." He glanced over at her, eyebrow raising. "And I met a woman that visits here frequently."

With a grin she eyed the earring, then puled out her own, which was the mirror image of the on Desmond had. She laid it down next to his and admired the two.
"Don't worry Des, we still are young and wild. Well... Kinda wild." She chuckled as she patted her stomach, she felt like she was more fat than pregnant.
She nodded as he talked. "It took a couple of tries. I have a son- Two sons already. From the Valentine's Celebration thing... The man I was paired with didn't care much for me. So I bore him two boys, and poof. Gone. So I only have the son that stayed with me. I have no idea about the other one. I just know he is a Daeva, I saw him once as a kit." She sighed. "Then there was... Agni. Wasn't interesting enough for him either I suppose..." Then she smiled. "Then I met Jack.... and I'm sure you can tell what happened from there." She smiled softly at her belly then at Desmon. "I guess it's true what they say, third time's the charm."

When she spoke his lips flicked a scowl, that bitter feeling rising. So, she had troubles, as well. Briefly glancing her way, the man moved to the further part of the cave where his more valuable artifacts were, returning with a small blanket made of heavy silks. He set it near her, yellow eyes narrowing as he scanned the cave.
"For your children when they are birthed. It was used in an old tribe to cover the runts of the litter when their mothers abandoned them, and it can keep your children warm when you go to hunt." With this, he cracked his neck, eyes flicking to the opening of the den.
Jack? He wondered if this man was a thief, too. Glancing at her stomach, he hissed slightly between his teeth. Even he wanted children and a mate, though he would never admit it. Sitting on his small throne of silks and clothes, he nodded. "Have you decided names?"

Sayre nodded. "There is Break, Alyss, Naoki and Aruna." She smiled a bit and took the silks. "Thanks Desmon." She looked around his cave. He was the only fox she knew with a collection that topped hers. A two tailed fox stretched out. Each tail curling around one another. "That time again huh..." Before heading to the cave of Desmon she checked her little garden. Her tails flicked as she checked ech one and watered those that needed it. Izanami, carefully stepped over the rows of plants to get to a rose vine. She picked a few of the better ones, ranging to a blood red to black. Then she headed to the cave with the flowers in her mouth. When she got there she noticed a Daeva talking with Desmon. Her body twitched... Was this.. jeoulosy? Yes, that and a pinch of anger and sadness. Was she being replaced? Nami walked up to the mouth and stood there, eyeing both, then to Desmon. "I see you have company other than myself... Do you need alone time?" She raised a brow.

"Of course." He mused back. "I hope your mate raises them well." He had always liked kids in his own way, though he never had one. Once he had the chance to steal a BCR but he never did. He knew better, a child should stay with their parents. Hell, if he had stayed with his what would his life be?
"You take good care of your sisters." He warned the male BCR's, glancing up at Sayre. Sisters. He had one, he believed, though he had only seen her once. She had collided into him, nipped his ear, and claimed loudly that she was his older sister. He had ran off after.
Glancing over at the cave entrance his lips twitched into a smirk. Izanami. The white haired maiden had caught his interest awhile ago. Yellow eyes locking on purple he listened to her, shook his head, and cracked his shoulders.
"No." He quipped back. "Sayre, this is Izanami. I help her with her garden and she comes here to listen to stories." He glanced at Izanami. "Nami, this is Sayre. We were partners in crime awhile ago. She came to show me her new babies. Her mate seems to be somewhere off."

Sayre nodded at the other vixen. "Gardens?" She let out a joking laugh. "Getting soft on me, huh!" Of course she was only joking. "I'll let you two be, I'm sure I have wasted enough of your time." With that she scooped up her kids and went on her way.
Izanami watched the Daeva leave, tails flicking. She looked over at Desmon. "Partner in crime? I want this to be todays tale." She invited herself into his cave and found a spot to sit. She curled her tails around her self, eyes glued to the male.

Chuckling, he watched Sayre leave. After she did he turned to look at Nami, tail flicking. A story about Sayre and him? Clicking his tongue once more his flames lowered, laying down.
"That." He nodded towards the earring. "Sayre and I were partners only for that. We had both heard of the earrings. The humans find these worth millions. It is said that they fell from a star, found by a human princess who whenever she was lonely would speak to the earrings, and each time they'd twinkle back. They were lost after her death for hundreds of years and only recently found." He grinned ear to ear.
"Sayre and I argued at first, we were younger then. Though, we decided to work together. The mission was impossible without a partner, they were heavily guarded. The two of us spent a month planning until we finally did the deed, and we agreed to each taking one. I may have been a bounty hunter and a thief, but I always gave my partners the proper reward. A thief needs a few friends." He glanced at Nami, tail flicking.

Another interesting story. "I see." She walked closer to the earing and examined it. She was rather tempted to talk to it, but not near Desmon. He might consider her a little more off then usual. "Before I forget... here." She nudged the roses closer to his throne of silks. "They are the best from my garden." She gave him a slight smile.

He watched her look at the earring, not minding. She was one of only two he'd let near that priceless object, the other being Sayre. He watched her, noticing her moving and blinking when a rose was brought to him. Wasn't it the men that gave away flowers?
The smile threw him, yes, him off-guard. He never was ruffled. She was being strange, yet he took the rose, admiring it. He was the perfect man to admire beauty. As he touched each thorn, happy she hadn't removed them because even things that could cause pain were beautiful. There was even more than one and he clicked his tongue in appreciation. "Beautiful." He breathed, moving to set them in a vase. He glanced back at her, giving her one of his crooked smiles.
"Thank you. Though, such a strange gift. I never took you as one giving someone the best of the garden, I am honored." Yes. his tone was tinged with slight humor, but that was just how he spoke. It was clear by the way he looked at the roses that he liked them and was pleased to have them among his collection. If only they could be preserved forever.

Nami's ear twitched at the word. 'Beautiful.' She thought for a minute. She figured he was talking about the flowers. Of course he was! Those were special flowers. She snorted to herself. Then turned and looked at Desmon.
"Honored? Over simple flowers?" Her tai flicked. They were nothing compaired to his vast treasures. "Don't get used to it." Her eyes narrowed slightly at him. But he was right, she usually wouldn't even give the worst in her garden away. I guess one could say Desmon was a special acception.

"Yes, honor. Even if it is just a simple rose. Nature is often more beautiful than man-made objects, even the common flowers of everyday."
He looked at her, lip twitching into a smirk. "I could not call myself a collector if I didn't find beauty in the simple things." His eyes scanned her, then back at the flower. "Besides, nature is always different. Man-made objects are the same, made from the same materials, crafted the same way. Nature, creatures, beings, they are all unique. That is true beauty. This flower grew by loving hands, and that itself is beautiful."
Tithe would scowl if she heard this, she'd call him soft. But Desmon was a man that appreciated the world, a man that wasn't blind to the world. He did not simply move forward, he looked around.

"Then again, if you think about it, doesn't nature use the same material too?" She did agree that man-made stuff wasn't as nice as natural things. When she was alone, nature was the only company she had.
She looked down at her paws. 'Loving hands?' She doubted it but what ever made him him do that smile of his... was fine with her. "It's funny. How others can effect one another." She examined the Daeva before her. "I'm sure if I haven't come along you'd still be romping on plants." Her tails flicked. "Probally just as I wouldn't know about half the stuff I know now. Thanks to your stories."
She probablly wouldn't be blushing either. Wait... Blushing!?! Her!? She must be sick. She shuddered. Why would she be blushing? Her tails flicked with aggitation.

"But those materials are always slightly different, just slightly."
Her cheeks were a strange color. She was blushing. Hm. How cute. Staying where he was he glanced at the ornaments nearby, nodding. Ah. He had a present for her.
"Speaking of." He went into the back of the cave, pushing past different objects and through a curtain of silks, returning with booze. "Stolen from a brigade." He uncapped it, nudging it to her and sitting back. "It's aged rather well, but don't drink it all. Also, don't get drunk."
