It was...odd that Ngoma and Shairi accepted the fact he was a god so readily. Not a bat of the lashes beyond momentary surprise. It made him happy. To be treated as just anyone else to them. To him, they were more than just two mortal females he'd chosen to protect. Shairi was his friend and Ngoma...Ngoma was something special to him. She'd grown on his heart. It was because of that he would stay with them once they reached the place their aunt had seen for them.
The grass-eyed god lay down on a large rock in his mortal guise, keeping watch as the two females slept. He did not need sleep or food in the same way they did, so it only made sense (along with his 'old fashioned sensibilities') that he took on the brunt of the watch.

Primitus had been walking the rogue lands some time with a heavy heart. He didn't bother hiding his godhood-- and his normally shining, glistening wings were tattered and worn from his fight with the God of Hate. His mate... She was still a prisoner, and he didn't dare move for any of his children except Jubes yet. No, he knew he'd best go to Nyasambe for help and he was weary from roaming with untended wounds.
Thank Mkodi he'd the foresight to leave his lifeforce to Accendo. He shook himself out, curling on a warm stone, still heavyu in thought. He'd cubs with another mortal, beautiful themselves, and he himself was intent to help care for them. But he wasn't the female's mate... Another burden. And Kipofu....
He was just lost, the normally bright-eyed god dull, ragged... And lifeless.

Croix noticed a shape settle not far from the 'camp', getting to his paws and moving over cautiously. He did not need another incident such as the one he'd revealed his godhood in. As he drew closer, however...he grew worried. There was the scent of pain and suffering. And...the form began to look slightly familiar, and then the scent beneath the pain hit him. He would always recognize that scent, no matter the rebirth or the time he'd been out of his life.
"Primitus?" What had happened to his son?

Primitus wasn't focused at first, but the voice caused the gentle giant to stir as he looked over drearily, ears pricking some.
"Father?"
A friendly face!

His son. His most-suffering son was hurt. Croix's mortal guise fell away and he moved the rest of the way to his son. "What's happened, my son? Is this your brother's work once more?" He had known his sons were out there, but he hadn't seen them since shortly after their birth, when duty after duty had called him away.

"No." Primitus shifted to a haphazard sitting position, the extent of his beating showing. "No, I'm afraid it was Hatred, Father. I failed to save my mate from him."
And he'd sired 'illegitimate' b*****d childrenj. And....
Oh, the list could practically be READ on him.

Hatred. Hadn't the god once been a friend to his son? And his son's mate had been taken as well. This...this did NOT sit well with Baba Croix. "There is more on your mind beyond that..." It was plain as day on Primitus' face. "Does someone else hold your matrix? And why haven't your wounds been fully treated?"

"My older daughter is protecting it." Prim looked to his father, not admitting he'd slept with another. Like the older male, he was normally a loyal mate, even if females seemed to flock to him, the scent of them clear.
"And for my wounds this -is- far better...."

Croix looked over his son again...then promptly pinned him and began to groom. "You can talk to me. I know there is more bothering you. You are my son, and I will listen and give you the best advice I can. And then we shall discuss the matter of Hatred and your mate further." He was not letting his son deal with this alone; even leaders needed their fathers.

Prim made a squeaking noise, but was too tired to fight, frowning.
"I had an.... Infidelity. I'm not abandoning the cubs to being fatherless--" Mkodi knew Baba Croix taught himn better! "-- but it's troubling."

Baba Croix blinked. Primitus had bred outside of mating? That was something he'd expect from Daimaishi or their brother, but it happening to Primitus was new. "That you are taking responsibility is good, Primitus. But do not beat yourself up about it. Sometimes, things happen." He finished his grooming and let his son up. "You still love your mate, yes?"

Primitus nodded, not moving very much. His body ached still; he was weary and the company was a good break.
"I do, but I'm worried about another female as well. For some reason they keep... FLOCKING."

The older god raised a brow at his son, then sat. "Another female aside the one you had cubs with? Flocking? Have you ended up with a harem, son?" It wouldn't entirely surprise him...more than a few leaders kept harems...why would their god be any less susceptible to ending up with one?

"I'm worried I might!" Prim whined. "Two mortals and Mothers!"
He sounded unsure on them, luckily for all.

Baba Croix couldn't help but laugh at his poor son. "There is nothing wrong with a harem! Surely you realize that." He smiled kindly. "Just do not abuse them...or piss them off. Females talk."
