Shadow had put on an extreme amount of weight over a short amount of time, she knew what this meant as she was well aware after the last time she was pregnant what a large lump of a belly and the mass amount of food intake that was happening daily meant. She was sure the rest of the pack knew too, which was wonderful! This was the time she could lay back and watch as everyone took care of her like a frail woman; which she was not but why not welcome the 'kind gestures' when they were presented?

Now there were two, beautifully woven baskets before her in the den she had created some time ago when the two decided it was time to settle and have a family of their own. It was warm, peaceful just the way she liked it. Since the arrival of the newest additions, Nori hadn't left the opening to patrol the area like usual, not once. He was certain that nobody would get through him and he wanted to make sure his family was as safe as they possibly could be. Tossing a glance back in to his mother and father every now and again, where she would throw him a smirk or two back and he would return his gaze to the forest that surrounded them.

"Perhaps this is me, still feeling a little shaken by the little ones but I'm starving and I'm sure I can handle things from here Nori. How about it? Besides I would like some quality time with my hubby here." She chuckled, in a way that made Nori shudder and turn to see if his brother was lurking around somewhere. "I think that's proof enough that you two have had enough 'quality time' lately." He remarked with a shake of his head. "Moonshine. Let's grab food for the pack, seems the Alpha's are hungry."

"Thank you, daarling." Lea chuckled, leaning her head against Zoomba gently, she tilted her head enough to give him a wink of approval.

"We make quite the stunning set of children, don't you agree? Who knows what memories with these children we will make. We should make the most of it, they don't stay young for long... As we found out last time round." She gave him a small smile however it was filled with warmth. Her eyes then found their way back to the two baskets before them.

Zoomba felt so proud of his growing family...pack as his mate and children called it. He was sorta of sad his only daughter had left to start another pack with Jacob. That Jacob he didn't like that boy to much, but what father likes a male that steals his preciously little girl. He was proud of her though and happy that she had been the first to find her love. Zoomba was very proud of Nori also, he was protective and filled with a since of pride and duty. Moonshine on the other hand worried him. He acted weak and rejected the night barley seeing his family before Shadow became heavy with child. He wasn't even sure if Moonshine had a single soquili to even call friend. Maybe it was something he had done while raising Moonshine? Would he make any mistakes with the next litter. Moonshine was mid panic before he realized Shadow was speaking to him

"Hmmm? Yes they are very good children....I agree, I wanna make sure that we do everything perfectly for these two." Zoomba nuzzles her gently before directing his eyes to the basket. "Did we make any mistakes last time....you think?"

Moonshine was snoozing under a near by tree. Trying to keep up with his day friends and his night family was getting to the lazy stallion a bit. He gave a wide yawn and flicked his goggles off of his eyes after hearing Nori call his name. "Does it really take two to get food?" Moonshine grumbled getting his his hooves and heading over to Nori.

Shadow admittedly didn't think that Zoomba had done anything wrong, he was the most family orientated out of the two parents, as a wolf she was dutiful to her pack but as a mother, she raised them the way a cub would be. To learn the way the system worked and thinking back, she might have been too strict however as she directed her gaze to her son who resembled her in colour she couldn't help but wonder if perhaps he felt a little left out because he didn't posses the traits the others did.

"No hunny."
She shook her head slowly as Moonshine approached his brother slowly then turned to look at her mate, curling her tail around to her side. "Maybe we just didn't spend enough time as a family should have, learning them to hunt was fun though they all seem to have a wild, mind of their own. Theres no taming what can't be tamed." She smiled weakly.

"This time we have the chance to truly be a family, you never know when the foals pop out of their baskets, it will give those two some company and companionship. Moonshine might not look so glum then."

Nori snorted, giving Moonshine an unamused look. "It does when it involves feeding all of us." He growled lightly. The brown wolf had never been nice, he had always had a sharp edge to him. He had taken it upon himself to get in line with pack order but since Evan had kicked him to the curb and won his rights to heir he was still sore and bitter that he wasn't strong enough. Now he felt the need to reclaim the reputation that had crumbled but how he could do that, he hadn't figured out yet. He flicked his tail and turned, weaving past an evergreen to make way towards the sound of rushing water. Fishing, that was always fun...

Zoomba eyed Moonshine as he left with Nori, worried that Moonshine might feel like he was being kept her by force or something. He didn't seem to have the same since of duty the others did.

"Maybe, he has been day walking you know...trying to pull off both since you became heavy with foal. He is probably more tired then glum..I hope..but you are right all we can do is teach them what we know, surround them with family and let them decide the rest. ....Its hard for regulars at night though...Even if he is a large stallion walkers of the night more often then not look at regulars as food. Perhaps we should encourage him to day walk...what do you think my love?" Zoomba asked nuzzling her before touching his nose to each of the basket. Aside from his worry on Moonshine acting the way he had,he was excited over the basket.

"I can't wait to have foals to teach again. Maybe this time one will like to dance like I used to....Remember...my silly dances." Zoomba said with a laugh.

"Hmp...what do you have in mind Nori?" Moonshine grumbled he couldn't hunt like his brother and sister nor were his teeth built for it and his stomach certainly couldn't some how he had noticed his father had a mixed diet, but Moonshine was a complete vegetarian. "You know I can't hunt...I only forage..." Moonshine growled a sound that almost never came out of him. He was tired and for the first time in his life feeling some what aggressive.

Lea as a wolf had not considered that Moonshine may have been living night and day to try fit in with the pack more however what she had considered was that he might of been conflicted with serious insomnia issues. Nobody had told him he needed to do both, she just figured this was what he was deciding on his own. "Hmm, you think he feels pressured by all this? He is a big boy now, if he needs sleep he should sleep. His body will eventually just shut him down if he continues, this cannot be a healthy routine for our son. One of us should talk to him, see what is going on." Although Lea wasn't sure if he would be comfortable laying his troubles on them. She would of liked to think their children knew that they could talk to their parents about anything but as they grew older, the more distant with their personal life they became.

Her gaze slowly slid to Zoomba as he nosed a basket and then reached over to nuzzle her, in which she couldn't help but smile once more at him and brush her cheek gently by his. At the topic of his dancing, she couldn't help but laugh as she remembered them. "Oh yes, I remember your outbursts, they were very amusing dear. Adorable. That would be a cute trait for the foal to gain. We need some liveliness around here."

Nori shook his head. "Fish. I will collect that for me and mother... You can forage for yourself and father. Works out." As Moonshine couldn't hunt, Nori couldn't forage, he had known how to hunt since before he could even remember and meat had been a consistant diet having grown custom to it's taste. "What's up brother, you're not yourself lately." Even he could see that there was something wrong, for a while now and had kept quiet about it but since they were finally alone and out of sight with some privacy it couldn't hurt to ask. Even just out of slight curiosity.

"He might, you know how much family means to him. I don't understand everything about that boy, but I know he came running when he heard you were pregnant. Perhaps you should speak with him my dear. We all know what you say goes before what I do." Zoomba said with a laugh.

"Agreed, how did our children all turn out more like you then me?" Zoomba said nudging her playfully. "I'm sure who ever comes from these baskets will be perfect just like the batch before. After all they are from us." Zoomba said with a joking cocky smile and nose lifted in the air.

"Dad eats fish now too..." Moonshine mumbled reminding his brother that Zoomba was becoming more of an omnivore now. As they walked Moonshine notices a large leaf and picked it to hold tid bits he found here and there though he himself was not interested in eating. "I'm tired." Moonshine growled a little placing the leaf on his back. "Soon as we're done I've got to get some sleep I'm meeting Cad in the morning to go swimming before it gets to cold for the winter." Moonshine said yawning.

Shadow gave a light sigh, it was true that Moonshine had been putting a lot of effort in to the family lately, he had done his fair share of baby sitting the baskets. "I may be Alpha but you're their father, what you say means just as much to them. What comes from me will feel more like a demand to them but I will try talking to him in an obviously motherly way." Saying motherly made it feel foreign, their children had become really independant over time, might of been why she was looking forward to being a mother all over again, to know what it was like to truly be needed by someone once more.

She laughed at his remark. "More like me?" She wondered in an extra sweet tone. "Mercy was different, she was more like you. A sweet girl with a loving nature." She paused and then nodded, pushing her head out to rest it on top the baskets. "They will be perfect, we have a perfect family. Maybe not to the rest of the world, but to us, it is perfect."

For the first time Lea considered her life, what it consisted of and wondered if her path of revenge had been overdone, maybe she had outdone her use like Evan had so 'kindly' put it. It made her want to fight for the life of her children even more and only Zoomba had that influence over her. He really was special. "I love you." She smiled, eyes rolling to the side to spy him, a chuckle escaped her lips. That confidence he had was a real charmer, as well as his humor. He always knew how to make her lighten up and laugh things off.

"He eats both, I got it."
Nori grumbled, so now was he collecting more fish for three of them or was Moonshine collecting for two? Who cares, if he collected more then there was some for the foals in case they escaped early. A new generation of them, oh dear wolf. What were they instore for. With a short lived glare at his brother he stepped in to the water and swiftly moved his gaze on to slippery creatures floating inbetween the rushing water and the rocks. "Who knew you had friends... Outside the pack." He stomped his foot hard, catching one then picked it up in his fangs and threw it on to the side. "Does this 'Cad guy' know where we live?"

"I talk to Moonshine a lot though, I just think he would take the matter seriously with me. I would get a lot of yeah dad, sure thing dad, I'll clean behind my ears dad.....That's my girl." Zoomba said grinning. "I like seeing you be a mother."

"Well I suppose that's true sweetness of that kind could never EVER come from you." Zoomba gently groomed her mane letting her know he was only kidding. "Oh ho let anyone in the world say they are better and I'll prove them wrong or put a hoof in their arse."

Zoomba smiled gently at Lea his eyes full of adoration for her. "I love you to my Shadowmoonlea, my alpha, my everything....stop me if I'm going over the top." He laughed a little even though he was serious sometime he had to throw in something funny to stop himself from looking like a total love sick loser, or so this is what he felt.

Moonshine shot a glare right back to his brother before picking an eatable mushroom. "I do...now...he is a daywalker...he is my only friend....He made me my sun goggles." Moonshine moved a long the water bank looking for more of the tasty mushrooms.

"No...not yet. Might bring him her one night to meet the family though...He wants me to meet his family....his sisters...Who knows maybe Ill mate into his family and stuff..." Moonshine didn't sound to confident about that for some reason or another.

Shadow chuckled at Zoomba's impersonation of Moonshine, it was silly but so true, there was the one parent that was always seen as a nag, she hadn't known that it would him out of the two of them. "I have to say, that was quite impressive. The voice was spot on and everything." She winked, still chuckling. She followed him with her eyes as he groomed her and couldn't help but give him a playful n**. "Oh, no. Me, sweet? Never." She rolled her eyes gently, then brushed her cheek against his. "Good, nobody will mess with you~ If they do, then they shall have to deal with me." She sung with a smile.

A faint pink came to her cheeks at his compliment and as he continued in to how much he loved her. The foals having arrived had brought this family a hell of a lot closer, she was happier than she had ever been. "No, don't stop. I like hearing what you have to say. You're my everything too, darling." Ears flattened back against her head, she stretched out her tongue to lick at his lips with affection, then smiled warmly.

Nori paused for a moment between eying up the fish to watch his brother. "Mhmm it will do you some good. Just don't be leading trouble back here... Think we could all use the break from it." He knew his mother, albeit she had been a wicked mare in her time had done her best to shelter the others from the troubles they had gotten in to and now, they were exhausted and he didn't have the spirit in him to continue this thing with Evan. He had lost and that was all there was to it. He wasn't strong enough and his faith in his strength was shaken. "I would like to meet them, the pack needs more... Neighbours... Friendly neighbours." He mumbled under his breath, then continued with the fishing, catching his reflection he saw the scars that hadn't fully healed yet and snarled, ducking his head in for another catch.

It had been too long since she had seen her grandmother and other family members. Spending time with her mother and father was starting to wear on her. For some reason she just felt like she belonged somewhere else. She definitely didn't have the same ideals as her parents, she just didn't fit.

Peeking her head through the pushes she spied her grandmother and grandfather relaxing in eachtothers company. How different they seemed from the last time she had seen them, so, soft. "Grandmother, Grandfather." she called out as she made her way over to them. "It's nice to see you so well after having the little ones."

"Really?" Zoomba chuckled adding impersonations to his list of things he could do. He dodged her little n** before lightly tugging at her hair in retaliation. "Wanna play rough do you?" Nuzzling her neck he thought about what fool would dare to mess with him and face Shadow's wrath. "I do believe that is more dangerous then one having to face me." He laughed a little but it was true she was much stronger then he was.

"I'm glad then. Thank you for choosing me my love, I'm a blessed stallion to have such a mate and family." Zoomba leaned on her while turning his head to look at the baskets once more. "Do you think they shall come out soon?"

The basket with the least white wiggled just a little.

Moonshine picked up a few more mushrooms before looking for something different even though mushrooms were his favorite. Mooshine had some how never been around for any of the trouble, the basket the only thing that had brought him back to the family full time. "Cad is safe....what do you mean?" Moonshine looked up at Nori twitching his ears a little. "Did I miss something major while I was gone?" He looked a little worried now like maybe he could have been there and helped with something. "Sure I can ask Cad when he wishes to come, promise to be on your best behavior though, I don't want Cad to get scared or something."

Zoomba turned his head from the baskets as he heard a familiar yet not often heard voice. He smiled happy to see his granddaughter and couldn't help, but glance behind her hoping Mercy was there as well. "Granddaughter it has been to long!" Zoomba nuzzled Shadow one more time before getting to his hooves to greet her with a nuzzle. He had always been the cuddly type.

Shadow nodded slowly at her mates words, of course, to have a home so protected and closely knit was a blessing, with children who stuck by them and family members which did often come back to check up on them there wasn't more a -family- could ask for. If only it was that simple... Individual minds worked in many different ways though and not always were those thoughts voiced. Or better, that they were thought than heard by the unwilling ears.

Her head inched slightly as movement came from one of the baskets, eyes pinned on the basket she thought that maybe it would move some more. "Looks like they're starting to become restless, maybe they will make an appearance soon." Her sight lingered on them a little longer, the other making a quiet rustle at it's siblings motion.

She looked up to her granddaughter, nodding in greeting. "Well hello there, what a wonderful surprise. You made it just on time by the looks of things." She smiled at Surrender, allowing her gaze to search the area behind her for any signs of that daughter of theirs. "How have you been dear, still living with your mother?"

Nori nodded a little. "You missed a lot, some things are best kept secret although we have a rivaling herd since we live at the base of their mountain. It might have been best to just make an alliance with them but mother hates them with a passion, their ways, views. Too unnatural and so when they pass by she taunts them and scares them away now one, who was once a member of this pack has the chance to jepordise it... Sure, whatever. Bring him along."
He sighed.

"I promise to be nice to the friend of yours, Moon. I'm sure everyone will be just as welcoming, so long as 'he is safe." After gathering what would be enough fish to last them a few days, he tread to the trees to pick off a large enough leaf to drag them back with and mounted them on to it. "Anyway, lets head back.."

"It has been.." Surrender smiled, bowing her head slightly in greeting. She watched as he nuzzled her and did her best to keep her muscles from tensing. It sometimes showed how much she disliked being touched, but since she was around family she always tried to at least act like she enjoyed it.

Looking to her grandmother she nodded and made her way over to sit beside her. "I have?" she said with a small grin. "I've been traveling a bit on my own lately, which has been a learning experience. But I miss being with everyone." In other words she missed the packs family dynamics. Traveling away for a while made her realize she wouldn't fit in elsewhere. Being a female driven for power wasn't the norm. "And I do, but I'm looking to change that... You know how mother can be." Way too affectionate and doting for her taste. No ambition to anything else other than be with their father. She would never understand it.
