He had been waiting for this time. the sun was starting to set and now it was time for him to wake up once again. Not only time for him to wake up once again but for him to start traveling once again. He hated traveling in the heat of the day and he knew that it was much better to start moving during the night. He never liked the feeling of the sun beating down on his back as he was moving. He had been in this area for a few days and he found it nice to finally start to get moving again.

He stood on a hill, taking a few seconds to take in his surrounding and get an idea of the next place hat he was going. He was hoping to make some distance today but he wasn't really that sure of how far he was going to get, but either way he was going to try to make some distance, he didn't care at all that was for sure, he just wanted to start moving again, he really wanted to staty moving, he had some where he had to go and he was hoping to get there as fast as he could. He wasn't exactly that sure of where he was going but he wanted to get there, or at least some where else. Anu was trying to find his mother, the lioness that he knew was some where around him, where, on the other hand was a different story, he wasn't that sure of where she was but he was hoping that some time he would run into her.

He was running quickly not really slowing down, that was until he spotted something that was in his way. He slowed, his feet stopped moving and he looked around. He was facing some very tall grass and soem very wet ground. He was around a swampe, not a deep one, he had been by this one before. He knew that it was a swamp but not exactly one that he had to worry about crocodiles or anything like that but he liked to be cautious around it. As cautious as he possibly could anyway. however the male started to pus his way through the grasses, he wasn't sure where he was going but he was really enjoying be able to travel around for a little and see these new grasses. However he thought it was odd that in the last few days he really hadn't seen many other lions around.

Uzi'hiana was exhausted. Ever since leaving the Kizingo, she had barely stopped to breathe, let alone to sleep, and that was days ago. Well, she had stopped for a few naps here and there, but that had been short and only enough to revive her a little, so that she could keep going. Anyone who saw her would think she was running from something, and to be perfectly honest, she was. But it was something that she was never going to outrun, for she was running from herself.

It was stupid, and childish and it was hurting so many people, but she couldn't stop running. She had to get away. It didn't help that every time she closed her eyes, she could see her mother's hurt eyes staring at her as she said she was leaving. Lari's expression had been of grief, as if she had lost her daughter to death and not to the desire to travel.

Hiana had soothed her mother a little by saying she would find Ili'ella, Hiana's half sister and fellow rogue, but she had little intention of doing so. She cared for her half sister, yes, but they weren't close, and Ili'ella would only make Hiana more guilty about leaving the pride. No. She was alone in the rogue lands and that was how it was going to stay for a long while.

Her pace was sluggish as she made her way in the night. She should have stopped to sleep, but she had stumbled upon the swamp before she could. She hated water – absolutely hated it, but it would take too long to go around the dampened ground, so she trudged through. Mud clung to her fur as she moved, staining her coat and weighing her already exhausted body down further.

The only upside to the water and the swamp and the mud was the fireflies that fluttered around. Hiana couldn't help but cast them a sleepy smile as she moved slowly, enjoying the light they shed and the simple beauty, and allowing them to keep her awake.

The sounds of another caught his attention. At first he was of course cautious. There were many times where he made sure to assess every situation that he was part of. He felt his mother cursed him in a way, no matter how much he loved her. He came across many hardships in his life and when he came across certain situations he checked to see if everything was goign to be okay. Especially when encountering another lion. He was cautious when it came to that, he liked to make sure that nothing at all could happen to him when he went to him meeting another. He looked around and smelt the air thinking about if he should go meet the other creature. It smelt like a lion and as he got closer he figured that it was a female.

He wanted a break, and for that matter some company, he figured that both of those sounded like a pretty good plan to him. He flicked his hair out of his eyes and then started to wander in the direction the female was in. He looked around as he did it smelt like swamp too and it wasn't long before he could find himself hitting the ground and not just the normal ground that he had been walking on but a swampish ground. He didn't really like the feeling of mud but he was so curious of who the female was. Maybe it was his mother? He was pretty sure he would know if it was her but he figured he might as well figure out who it was. even if it just meant he was going to have a little company. Or for that matter he could figure out if maybe he should get out of that area so he wasn't bothered by a dangerous female.

The sounds of his approach did not escape Hiana’s notice and her gaze narrowed, stopping her own travels through the swamp and trying to lower herself, hiding her bright form in the mud. She was not foolish, despite her desire to strike out on her own steed instead of travelling with her elder half-sister like her mother had wanted her to. She was just…interested in doing things her own way, and her own way did not involve her getting killed because she underestimated a stranger in the night.

Backing up, she stayed low in the swampy ground, hiding her form as much as she could before calling out, her voice disappointingly tired sounding, “Who goes there?” She demanded.

Anu was not as put off when he heard the voice of the lioness, he knew that being tired was somethin that was hard to make up in a voice. He knew it was he had heard others try before and the voice of the lioness sounded tired, not faking it but actually tired. He relaxed a lot and then flicked his hair out of his eyes and looked around he was moving clsoer to the bushes preparing to show himself. Now that he determined that the lioness sounded okay he knew the next best decision was to show himself before the lioness decided to draw him out and attack him, That would make him upset and he wasn't in the mood for that, not at all he knew what he had to do now.

He pushed his head through the bushes and nodded to the female. "I apologize if I startled you." He said with a nod before speaking again to the lioness. "I am Anu, I'm wandering these lands trying to find my mom, I really don't know where I am, or where I'm going." He laughed a little nervously he didn't like admiting that he didn't really know waht he was doing, but at the same time he would rather say that then lie, he wasn't one to lie, ever.

When the male revealed himself, Hiana was surprised to find he did not look aggressive, though he was darkly coloured and larger, as he was male and she had never been a huge female. She raised herself up from her 'hiding spot', her lower half covered in mud from the swamp but she didn't really care that much.

"Didn't anyone tell you you shouldn't creep around in the dark?" She muttered, even though she was doing the exact same thing herself. "I am Uzi'hiana," she introduced but struggled to explain what she was doing in the swamp, in the dark. She shrugged slightly. "I'm just...walking." What a lame explanation, she decided, and was quick to try and get the conversation away from her.

"Why are you looking for your mother? Is she lost?"
