She only had two days left until school started, and she certainly wasn't going to waste them at home!
Castille practically hopped down the street, feeling the breeze pass by her. While others had conceded to jackets, or long sleeves at least, Castille was stubbornly wearing a short sleeve tee and skinny jeans. She relented somewhat to the slightly cooler temperatures with her pink scarf, but it was more for fashion than actually keeping her warm. Flip flops further ignored the cold. No, it was still summer time and she was going to enjoy it!
Her wandering led her through the main part of town, where the shopping center and a few restaurants framed the now repaired fountain in the center square. She had come to realize that the fight last spring that broke out wasn't some strange blizzard, but in fact the work in part of Chaos. It was still strange to her that long before she had henshined up, she was still a part of something of that world. She stood a moment, staring at the fixed fountain babbling happily. People had a funny way of forgetting things. She could bet not many people would look at this shiny new addition to the square and remember what had happened. But then maybe that was the magic of the other side. Maybe someone took their memories away..
She shook senshi things from her mind. She wasn't patrolling, she was exploring! Castille wasn't going to let the past catch up to her and weigh her down.

Cas was reveling in the short lived freedom. His father, in a bout of mercy, lifted his grounding to give him a few sweet, sweet days of summer vacation unfettered before he had to go back to that godforsaken place known as Hillworth.
He was trouncing around in a t-shirt and light jacket, trying to avoid sweaters at all costs. That was his main beef with Hillworth; The sweater vests that came with the uniform. Ugh.
He didn't know where he was going. Maybe the museum. Would it be completely stupid to spend his last, precious moments at the museum? Probably. There was also the arcade, a friend's house... but mostly he was just skittering around the shopping center, going into stores, weaving up and down aisles, buying candy, skittering some more, when he bumped into a familiar face. Almost literally!
"Oh, s-sorry," He mumbled before pausing, trying to match a face with a name. "Oh! You're that... that girl! Castille!" He said, excitement building with each word, and even some minor arm flapping that was probably mostly to blame on the bag of assorted candy he was holding. "Do you remember me? I'm Cassi-- I'm Cas!"

She had just finished shaking her mind from unhappy thoughts when she was almost pitched headfirst into said fountain. Luckily her balance was good enough that she only hovered above the water for a moment before snapping back up straight. She whirled on the spot, anger contained for the moment, but it evaporated when she saw that the kid was actually apologetic.
Her face softened, and she blinked a couple times when he already knew her name. He then gave his own name, and she didn't say anything for a moment.
Purple hair....she remembered someone with purple hair...
"Oh yeah!" She said, her mind finally drawing the right conclusion. "I remember you! We had a couple classes together. But then you disappeared. How are you!"

"Yeah, I wasn't... um, very.... very good at socializing," Cas mumbled sheepishly, apparently reaching the end of one of many sporadic bursts of hyperactivity to come. What's worse it made him feel almost stalkerish that he could recall her name so easily. But their names were so close he knew her name before he had a face to go with it. Both of them were kind of just strung together by the school's old shuffling system.
"And also because I ended up... um, transferred. Do you still go to Meadowview?"

"Transferred?" She said, tilting her head to the side the same way a confused dog might. It was an old habit her sister loved to tease her about, but she found it caught many people off guard for some reason. It took her a second to recall all of the schools around the city until "Oh! You must have gotten moved to Hillworth I'm guessing?" Suddenly her demeanor changed. "oooo what did you do to get stuck in there?" She whispered dramatically, grinning foolishly.
"I still go to Meadowview yup." She continued on to say, thinking about the new year. She has already made one new friend, and the classes she was in promised more.

"What? I'm not smart enough to get into Azure?" Cas puffed up for a moment, but it was a quickly passing moment. Because he wasn't. "Nah, yeah, I'm in Hillworth. I... uh," He never told the same story twice. Because the truth was lame and made him out to be very silly and incompetent.
"Well, see, me and a few other guys, right? We had this sweet heist system for changing grades. All in all, things went bad and we started to turn on each other out of suspicion and we all got canned except one," He said confidently, never minding the fact he just outlined the plot to Reservoir Dogs with diamonds replaced with grades.
"It was all my idea, I'm something of a genius," He added, very smugly. Except he had kind of gone so far over the top he was just about making fun of himself. Moving to Hillworth didn't boost his 'dangerous' stat as much as he wanted so now his attempt to make himself out to be a cool, dangerous criminal was a running gag. In his own mind.

Her face instantly went into a shade of red as she stuttered "N-no! That wasn't what I was saying at all!" Oh she hadn't meant to sound mean! He looked hurt, and she felt a wave of remorse pass over. Poor kid, what if something bad happened and she just reminded him?
As Cas explained his transfer though, Castille decided that he really didn't feel too bad. Trying to forge a grade? Now that sounded more reckless and desperate more than anything. She felt a little amused suspicion as he proclaimed himself a genius. she crossed her arms, throwing him an accusing smile. "A genius? Oh good! I've been looking for someone to help me with math!"
Part of her wished he really was a genius. She really did need a lot of help with math. Numbers weren't her thing.
"So I see your better at socializing."

Cas didn't think he was that much better at socializing, but he was forgetting that there was a time when he would've desperately hid from Castille, not actually initiated conversation.
"Heh, you can't, uh... ah-afford me," He smirked, mentally kicking himself for botching such a smooth set up. Now he was remembering how much he hated this talking thing, no matter how much of a boost to his ego his nighttime activities gave him.
"So... what're you doing with the fountain?" She seemed to be pretty into it when he interrupted her.

Castille smiled knowingly and said "Yes, I suppose not. No job equals no money." Haha now she fully remembered Cas. He was a bit of an overexaggerator, but her friend Melissa had thought he was cute despite the need to prove himself. But he was always so quiet....
He asked about the fountain, and she looked back at it, as if to check that it was still there. "Oh I was just....admiring the new one." The new one that had to be created after Snow Princess Kaguya blew it to smithereens. She could still remember being under her spell, unable to get rid of those stupid snowglobes.... She shook her head. "I was thinking back to when the other one got broken." She wasn't sure if he knew about it. She also had to tread carefully. No giving away anything.
"What are you out doing today?" trying to change the subject politely. "Besides reliving highschool by meeting up with a former class mate." She smiled sweetly, clasping her hands behind her back.

"Oh..." Cas hadn't been present for the Kaguya thing, and so he didn't know the story behind the new fountain. Just that it up and was destroyed one day. Though, if he had the presence to think about it, he'd probably classify it under all the 'weird alien bullshit' that suddenly seemed so simple after his induction to the ranks of the Negaverse. All the unexplained weirdness of Destiny City suddenly had a very simple and blanket explanation: An alien did it or something.
"Oh, I dunno," He answered honestly, cramming his hand back in the candy bag he was holding for another piece. "I gotta go back to Hillworth when the school year starts, guess I was just taking walk while I have the time."
Though, he did suddenly become aware he was holding a bag of candy and hoarding it like a pig, so he tilted towards her in a little offering gesture. Just to be polite.

"Yeah, I'm out here too for that reason." She said, looking down at the candy bag. Oh there were fun sized Twix! Castille reached into the bag, saying "Thanks! I love chocolate." and retrieving the small candy wrapped in gold. She unwrapped it and chewed thoughtfully, loving the caramel and chocolate mix. It was hard to think that she would have school again to add to her schedule. Patrolling was much easier when she didn't have to get up stupid early in the morning for classes, and stay after for volleyball. Many of the Negaverse Castille had run across looked to be about her age though, so hopefully they too would have to done whatever uniform they needed and go to class instead of cause trouble.
She waited until the candy was gone, then asked "So what do you do at Hillworth? I mean, besides classes? They have to have teams, clubs or something like that right?" Her legs were starting to feel stiff, so she shifted her weight from one leg to the other slowly. Damn cold.

Cas just nodded his response to the thanks and crammed his hand into the bag to find more fodder to stuff his face with.
But when she mentioned teams, he nodded vigorously and seemed impatient to swallow so he could elaborate. "Oh yeah, we have lots of teams and orchestra and stuff. I'm on the track team. And also there are dorms," He made a bit of a face at that, though, "It's kind of a creepy and unfun place, though. The dorms, I mean." He vastly preferred home, even his dad's house to the complete lack of privacy afforded by Hillworth.
He would've happily rambled on about the teams, though, and the various things he'd observed about each one when bored and gossip about players and such, but he caught a glance at his watch and realized how much precious time he'd wasted. Like all days, he suffered from Limited Time Syndrome.
"Oh, I should probably go. Bye, Castille!" He rambled off quickly as he ran off and waved at the same time, nearly running into a street light in the process.

Dorms didn't sound like the best thing in the world to Castille. Living with a complete stranger without having any say in who the roommate was. What if they had terrible habits? Or snored? Or liked to stay out late when you liked to go to bed early. "I'm happy I get to stay at home for now." She said, considering all of these thoughts. Instead of lingering on the lame dorms, she honed in on the track team.
"Track is difficult! Especially the hurdles!" Castille remembered trying to do the hurdles in gym. She had ended up with quite a few bruises, a couple on her pride.
Maybe it was her height that made it difficult.
Just when they are starting to talk, Cass ran away. Castille was left with her mouth half open, staring at the retreating back of the kid. "Um, ok. Bye!" she said, then shouted the last word. Just as suddenly as he appeared, she was left alone again.
A smile spread across her face and she shook her head, heading off away from the fountain. What an odd kid.
