Awkward Inventors (Cadhla & Eden Cullen)

Finally, he'd gotten his mother convinced that he wasn't a complete shut in.. The fact that he'd showed some progress in making a couple of friends had been enough to ease her mind. Now having his tinkering tools back, he was busily working on something yet again.. something this time he'd been trying to improve. He'd made an attachment for his sisters to glide with.. but he wanted to make it better for them..

Stepping back, he looked at the hide covered contraption and mumbled a few equations to himself as he walked around it. Something just wasn't adding up.. sure it had worked for his sisters when thy were foals but now that they were grown.. it didn't work as well.. hill top glides just.. weren't able to be done. maybe it was the size of his sisters or the way he made it.. but he knew now that he needed to fix it. Turning his head, he looked over the pile of materials he'd gathered to make the adjustments to his old invention and sighed. What was he missing? His forelock flopped in his eyes causing him to shake his head to get his eyes free before he finally had an idea. The feathers he'd found looked like they might help. After all.. Ali had feathers in her wings... and she flew.. so maybe this was what the contraption needed?

Eden wandered along, she could feel the faint tugging on her mane, she had gotten herself well and truly stuck that time, but then she had gotten what she needed so it was worth it. The mouse sat on her shoulders between her wings and pulled twig after twig out from Eden's mane as it was gradually untangled. She had often wanted to cut her hair short, especially now it was so very long, however her mother seemed to adore seeing her daughter with a long mane so like her own that despite the strong desire to cut it... Eden never had. Instead she put up with how impratical the ground length mane was, sometimes sacrifices had to be made. Though where her family were concerned she made a few too many. Glancing down at the frills on her hooves she stifled a groan. She was not the girly girl her mother so badly needed, perhaps next time she would be blessed with a pastle of daughters that could take the heat off of Eden.

Chiding herself for her train of thought she paused and looked round, she was sure that she could hear.... mumbling? Starting off in a slightly different direction she followed the now finished mumbling to see what or who might be mumbling in this place of all places.

Walking over to the pile of materials, he started nosing around and sifting through the pile to find all the feathers. Picking up a wicker basket, he looked it over, and deciding it was a decent container for the feathers, started putting feathers in it to hold as he found them in the pile. "Ouch." He jerked his head back from the pile a sharp cactus needle had poked him in the nose and was now stuck in the soft flesh between his nostrils.

Eyes watering, he crossed his eyes to look at the tip of his nose and pondered hot to get this out. What was this thing doing in the pile? He tried to think of how it could have gotten into his materials then groaned. Binky.. that over grown fluff ball mare's familiar.. always giggling and mischievously doing something the only thing that came to mind was that the pink and white raccoon had put it amongst his things.

At any rate he needed this thing out of his nose.. and fast.. Wiggling his nose he flinched again and decided against it. why the nose? why not some place her could get it with his teeth?

Looking through the leaves as she came towards the edge of the forest she had been walking in. Someone had hurt themselves but all she could see was blue and something moving. Stopping when she cleared the trees and looking at the blue stallion and an assortment of things, and what looked like home made wings. Wondering what had happened to make him cry out in pain she moved closer. "What did you do to hurt yourself?" Her tone passively enquiring, after all she would need to see or ask to find out. The mouse peering round the mares neck, having paused in its work, inly having a couple of tangles left.

He froze as he heard the voice of another and slowly turned to see who it belonged to. He saw a green colored mare standing there looking at him. His nose throbbed and a bit of blood was starting to push around the cactus needle to flash red against his pale blue coat. "Cactus needle... unpleasantly found it in my materials.." He took the sight of the mare in with a calculating stare that wasn't threatening nor was it friendly it was more like he was calculating her in a mechanical sort of what. He eyes then shifted to rest on her wings then back to her face. "Would you mind giving me a bit of assistance please.. it's hard to make adjustments to the glider with this in my nose."
