Thundara allowed the wind to fill her wings, carrying her over the earth. The storm was behind her and the storm was coming. The night was becoming darker as if evil was covering the sky then it happened. Lightning fell from the sky and that first sound of thunder rolled over the land.
She was almost like a legend only, coming and going with the storm, those large wings built to carry her in the high wings, and those years of practice helped. Eyes would almost shimmer before she faded back into the dark of the storm. She glided though the air, spinning and dancing on that strong wind and the smell of the fresh rain made her nostrils flare. Soon her fur would be drenched in the cool water as her eyes watched the ground for a bit of fun, something to eat and time to enjoy before she once moved on with the storm that brought her.
The land below was being pounded with the rain as the storm picks up and normal eyes could not see what was coming unless the lightning caught her shimmering fur, making her markings spark up with their own light. Red hooves would almost seem to carry her along air, legs flicking as if she was running along the ground. She would slowly move in closer searching for anything caught out in her storm.

Chloros swore under his breath. He hadn't expected the wind to be so powerful at this altitude. But when a sudden gust of wind sent him plummeting several feet, Chloros realized that he wasn't that high off the ground. A sudden feeling of panic began to sweep over him. The clouds were getting darker and thicker, the rain was coming down harder, and Chloros thought he heard a distant rumble of thunder. He was caught in a storm. The panic began to grow, and Chloros felt his skin itch at the foreign emotion. He was used to being in control, used to being the one in charge. This sudden change of status only fueled the panic.
Chloros began to falter in the growing gusts. The wind buffeted against him, tossing him about like a leaf in a breeze. When navigating the mountains near his treasure troves, the worst storms Chloros would come across were light blizzards. Those were easy to read; the wind would blow the snow about, and Chloros could predict the gust based on which way the snow spiraled. But this storm was dark like the blackest of night, illuminated only by the streaks of lightning flashing across the sky. There was little Chloros could do now. He was too far in to turn back, and besides which he was too disorientated to retrace his path. His only hope was to try and navigate the storm best he could and hope he got out. But in the back of Chloros' mind, he feared that he would not be able to last very long.

The Mare would allow her eyes to glance over the land and air, the red gave spotting someone, a smirk moving over her lips as her wings turned and the mare would roll and head off moving not only closer but around the stallion her eyes watching him, judging him. The only thing that would give her away was the flashes of lightning that was in the distance following the storm.
She could tell she was slightly smaller but that was not going to stop her from plotting what to do. To diorent the stallion and make him crash into the ground, or to just work on his fears. She would pull back and slightly above the stallion as she thought about what to do. A soft snort would roll from her nose, the wind hounding over the land.

Chloros breathed a sigh of relief. The lightning in this area of the storm was frequent, and Chloros was beginning to see the wind patterns in the illuminated rain drops. The Kalona let the gusts fill his large bat-like wings and soared in between the cyclones of water droplets. They were almost like tornadoes, Chloros thought absently. He had heard tales of tornadoes that would touch over the ocean and suck up the water. He imagined it would look something like the cyclones in the storm, but much bigger. He was more relaxed now, having mastered the storm. It was thrilling, being able to overpower Mother Nature herself. The stallion could think of no greater form of power. It exhilarated him, pumping adrenaline through his veins. It made him feel strong and confident. But that confidence was clouding his judgement. It made him cocky and arrogant. Like ink slowly turning water black, Chloros began to loose sight of the cyclones. Suddenly, and with a force greater than Chloros had ever felt before, an unexpected gust of wind below him up and to the side. His left wing twisted, contorting like the branches of a gnarled tree. The Kalona roared fiercely, his sharp teeth clamping down on his tongue in pain. He hadn't felt anything snap, but he was having trouble flapping. Every time the wing extended outwards an intense pain shot up all the way to the base of his neck. After only a couple of wing strokes, the pain had become almost unbearable. The panic came sweeping back in. Chloros had lost the pattern of the winds, and now with an injured wing it was 10 times as hard to manage the strong gusts. The Kalona kept a firm grip on his lower lip to try and distract himself from the pain in his wing. He was trying to concentrate, trying to find his way through the storm once more. But the pain kept distracting him. Chloros bit down harder, brows furrowed with his intense effort to focus his mind. He was in a dangerous situation. Not hopeless, but certainly dangerous. If he was careful, he might be able to sink below the heavy winds and get to solid ground or fly out of the storm. But if he met any other interference or anymore gusts like the one that had twisted his wing, Chloros wasn't sure if he would be able to keep going.

The mare watched though the storm, those red eyes locked onto the stallion. The moment she saw trouble and panic a smirk would roll over her lips, her wings shifting and turning, maybe she could bring this large stalion to the ground. Her mind would fill with ideas, her breath almost picked up with the though of motions it would take to bring him down. She was like a young foal again, filled with a joy that would normally sicken her, but this was her chance.
That dark frame would head in, keeping an eye on the stallion, the closer she got the more she could tell the trouble the stallion was in and it thrilled her, making her almost squeal in excitement. Eyes would move along his body, looking for the right point to hit him and send him out of the sky, or at least knock him around a bit more.
She was watching his side, just under the injured wing. Those long ears would flick and twist slightly before she lined up for the shot, taking her time to make her move. and like in a flash, her wings folded slightly and she was nearly free falling letting the heavy winds guide her. She was almost feeding from the thrill, as a lightning bolt flashes rather close she would flick those powerful wings open and move up, busting into his side with her body with enough force to send most into a barrel roll before veering away and returning to the black of the storm.
She would watch her deed, wanting to see what happens from her attack and get ready just encase she would have to move in once more. If she could bring him down she might be able to tease the wounded male even further, she had an advantage, her wings were use to this weather after a long time of flying in it. She was once more above him, holding that distance and trying to hide from the flashes of light that would give her away.

Chloros went spiraling off into the wind. A sudden force had crashed into him, stronger than any of the winds he had felt before. But as he tried to regain his composure, the Kalona realized that the force had been too solid to be the wind. He had been attacked. He snarled with fury. Who had dared attack him? Another Kalona? But why would a brother of similar blood attack their own kind? Surely Chloros could nto be responsible for accidentally flying into another's territory. After all, he had been swept up by the storm with no way to get out. Kalonas were territorial and violent yes, but not completely unreasonable. But what else could have the strength to by flying in this storm? An Angeni? With four wings it would be easy to maneuver these strong gusts. But the stallion had never heard of an Angeni that attacked for no reason. They had morals and virtues, and all that strange nonsense. Had he been on the ground, Chloros might have thought that a Skinwalker was hunting him. But he was not on the ground, and the rare batwalkers were still only the size of normal bats when they shifted. The thoughts had raced through his mind in a matter of seconds, analyzing each possibility but striking them down one by one. Now that he ruled out an attack, the only possibility left was that another flying Soquili, trapped in the storm much like himself, had been thrust into him by the winds. An unfortunate accident indeed, and Chloros was now barely able to fly. Perhaps, he thought, he would be able to locate the Soquili in his immediate vicinity and force them to help Chloros find his way out. The Kalona craned his neck about, ruby eyes squinting about in the darkness of the storm. He could not make out any shapes against the crashing lightning. If the Soquili wasn't anywhere around him or below him, then there was only one more direction to look. Chloros strained his neck upwards, hissing as the motion stung his sprained wing. A flash of lightning illuminated what looked the figure of a Wind, but in an instance the flash was gone and the shape with it. Chloros wasn't sure whether he had actually seen it or whether he had hallucinated. By now, the pain in his wing and his now injured side was so intense that hallucination was not beyond the realms of possibility. But nevertheless, Chloros decided that a possible shape was better than no shape at all. He roared loudly, trying to get the Soquili's attention over the thunder. Chloros would not be able to fly up to meet the Soquili, as his strength was starting to fail him. The Kalona was slowly sinking downwards, desperately struggling to stay in the air. He had to get the Soquili's attention and force their aid, and he had to do it quick.

Eyes would watch the stallion, wings shifting slightly to stay with the currents of the wind. She could barely hear the roar over the rushing wind and loud thunder. She knew she had to of ben spotted and the stallion did not fall from the sky. Mind rushed over what to do next as she moved down closer a cocky half smirk rolling over her lips as she started to circle the stallion. As the lightning lit up the sky she was next to him and when it struck again she was gone she loved how the rain and wind felt in her wings. She was now feeding off the light to strike fear in the creature. Cold heart as no good for her, it normally got her in trouble, though she was not going to try a strike again so soon, he would be expecting it, she had to do better.
Eyes flickered with light as she moved next to him again but on the other side this time, her voice cold, showing she was a proud soquilli, and it had an almost cruel tone despite just how lovely and hypnotic that voice was. "Looks like someone is at a disadvantage." She was almost a singsong tone at the idea she could probably take him down with the state of his wing and the high winds. The night might just get worse if those winds and the weather bends the wind into a destructive force, even then she could not fly it would snap her wings like twigs.
She flew with a grace like a dove in the finest sun. Red eyes almost shimmering with the flashes of light that fell from the sky, lain wet and clung to her body moved with the force of the wind, covering her features here and there. She was studying him closer, looking for a way to attack again, and maybe it could be read in her eyes that thrill of being in charge and the one at the top for once.

Chloros snarled. Maybe the Soquil above him had been a hallucination. Perhaps the other Soquili had been blown away in the winds, and was now far away and quite unreachable. Or perhaps he hadn't been hit by a Soquili in the first place. The Kalona growled with frustration. He had wasted precious time and energy in hopes that he could coerce the Soquili into helping him. Now he was worse off than before, with no possibility of gaining aid. As Chloros' mind finally convinced himself that the force had merely been another gust of wind, a tongue of lighting lashed out in front of him, illuminating his path. And next to him, a shape as well. Chloros started, not expecting to see the Soquili had just dismissed. The light faded, and Chloros roared again. But when another strike filled the clouds with vibrant white light, the winged Soquili was gone yet again. Chloros' brows furrowed. Was this Soquili playing games with him? Or perhaps it was another hallucination. But no, the stallion shook his head vigorously. He was sure he had seen a shape. He could even remember the colour; a dark purple that seemed to blend in with the clouds. The Kalona only grew more confused. Why had it flown away? Perhaps it had seen him and was frightened by his appearance. Chloros swore under his breath, now ragged and laboured. He had hoped it would be one those noble and just Soquili, willing to help even a Kalona like him. But now it seemed like he would have to either trick the Soquili or threaten it. A sweet, melodious voice snapped him from his thoughts. There, next him, the Soquili! Chloros could tell now that it was a mare but the voice barely audible above the wind and thunder. However, it was not the meek, gullible type that Chloros liked. No, it was one of those cocky arrogant females, the ones who often though they were stronger than he. Though with Chloros' injuries, it was completely possible that this time the mare was indeed stronger. The Kalona snarled both at the thought of being weak and at the mare's taunt. Gone were the plans of coercion and getting out of the storm. All Chloros wanted to do now was teach this arrogant mare a lesson. "I'll rip your throat out!" He swerved, using the wind to propel himself towards the mare. Teeth bared, Chloros snapped at the base of the mare's neck, determined to make her pay for her words.

The wind was only becoming worse and the rain was pounding in large drops, each one rolling from the lovely dark feathers on her wings. She was not as surprised that he would strike at her. She was on the side of the bad wing and as he leaned in she would lift and pull away, not a to bad of a bite he only caught a bit of her foreleg in the thick upper hide making a small would but she had lifted right into that wing with enough force to send him once more into rolling pain. Ears would flicker as she shakes her head at him, as if to almost scold the stallion for trying to hurt her.
She watched his reaction to her escape, fighting her in her own element was probably not his best idea, but then she new his breed and their easy temper. The scent of blood though made her only smirk more them before, a almost sadistic smirk and like that she was gone in a flash of lightning to make another attack. She was thinking to return the favor, draw the blood. Ears twitched as her eyes watched him, she was staying moving just watching once more, he would pay for her wound, the hard rain rolling over it was slightly painful.
The wind was starting to change and she knew what that meant, she had to hurt and do her dirty deed and head for a cave because this storm was just itching to become worse. Breath was heavier now then before, all this moving was tiring, more so because she had to shift though the wind going with and against it.

Spiraling across the stormy sky, the pain the Chloros' wing intensified to an unbearable level. After that last attack, the time the Kalona was going to be able to stay in the air was running out. He steadied himself out, making an extreme effort to straighten his injured wing out properly. But Chloros was feeling less pain and more rage. The only females to have ever staged a successful attack on him were those of his own breed and Skinwalkers. They were creatures Chloros could respect. Skinwalkers, while detestable in their unnecessary blood lust, were something to admired in physical strength. They were the very personification of strength. Kalona mares were a different animal, fierce in their opinions and ideas. Though Chloros didn't usually get along with these mares, he could still respect them. But this winged mare, this shadow amongst the storm, was no symbol of strength or power. She was a scavenger, an opportunist at best. She had seen his injury and had taken advantage of it. Chloros did admit to himself that she was a better flyer, but then again the thin membrane of his breed's wings were not meant for gale winds and pounding rain. The stallion felt sick to his stomach that he was the victim of a petty mare's attempt to make herself feel powerful. Chloros would not let this mare get away with it. However, Chloros was not in the proper condition to take revenge. He was close to plummeting straight down to the ground, and there really wasn't anything he could do about that now. But Chloros did know the one thing he would do at all costs; if he was going down, that mare was going with him. With a painful twist of his wing, Chloros spun himself through the air and bee-lined towards the winged Soquili. His dark ruby eyes narrowed maliciously. Though the events were happening in only a few seconds, Chloros could feel the world slow down around him. Keeping his wings spread out fully, he gained quickly on the mare. His wings acted as sails that propelled him forward. He was taking a risk, trusting the wind to keep blowing the in same direction, but it was one Chloros was willing to take. At last, the stallion was close enough to strike. This time, when he struck out, his teeth met their goal. The sharp, pointed teeth sank deeply into the back of the mares neck. Once he had gotten a good grip, Chloros let his wings relax. His sheer body weight bore down upon the mare's back. Chloros was sure to make sure he stayed on top of one of her wings. And with only one wing to keep two heavy bodies up, gravity won. The two went plummeting out of the sky and the thibk of the storm. Chloros bit down hard on the mares neck, making sure he never let go. It was sheer luck that the two were heading towards a tall forest of red woods; the trees would break their fall. When Chloros felt the first touch of leaves upon his legs, the Kalona let go of the mare. He rapidly expanded his wings to try and parachute down. However, at such a close distance to the ground, it wasn't physically possibly that a Soquili with even his massive wingspan would be able to pull such a feat off. He went crashing through the trees, branches cutting him and tearing at his delicate wings. Chloros crashed to the ground with a roar of pain.He hadn't felt anything snap, but he was sure to be severely bruised. Chloros quickly gained his composure, and sat up enough to try and see where the mare had fallen. The same branches that had broken his fall were now shielding him from the bulk of the rain, making it a little easier to see. His superb night vision was certainly a contributing factor as well. In the back of his mind, Chloros was worried he had killed the mare with his stunt. The winged kind had light, hollow bones that were fairly easy to break.

The pain of the teeth at her neck made her whinny as she tried to struggle her other wing free, but there was no luck. She could feel herself being pulled down into the forest below. She was shaken, most did not mess with her in her natural element. She knew she was not going to pull out of this and the ground was going to be her downfall.
As soon as the extra weight was free she braced her wings to take as much speed off her body as possible, but it was still not enough to keep her gtom hitting the ground, mud coating her fur as she rolled a few feet, laying there in pain, She had wounded one of her wings, and was not sure just how bad, but the scent of blood overpowered the mud. A shake of her head made her main shift and eyes looked around the forest. Breath shaky as she tried to move, her wing bone was shattered, and allot of her feathers were missing. She found herself only fifty feet from the stallion, those red eyes flickering as she gritted her teeth and stood. Ears laid back, her entire body hurt, and it was hard for her to breath, let alone move from the powerful storm as the wind began to shift around.
She tried her best to hide the pain, though she stood tall, the limp hanging wing, and her eyes gave away just how much pain her delicate frame was. Breath was shallow, short, breathing normally hurt and she knew it meant her ribs may of also suffered some damage. She knew better then stay here, these trees were easily pray to the lightning and this storm was just starting, but she was at a disadvantage. She knew the stallion was the kind to pray on a wounded equine and she was not going to become some meal, but she also could not get away. She just stared at the shaded frame with those cold red eyes, her wet strands blowing in the heavy wind, dancing over and caressing her face.

The crashing thunder seemed louder than before, despite the fact that he was now farther away from the source. Though he didn't quite realize it and had blamed it on the rain, his vision was actually very blurry. The Kalona has sustained a concussion from the fall. Woozily, and slightly off balance due to the limp wing dragging at one side, the stallion slowly rose to his feet. Chloros' cloven hooves sank deeply into the mud, pushed down by the same body weight he has used to bring down the winged mare. Ah yes, the reason for why he had gotten up despite the pain. It would be a pity if she died. Chloros did ever so want to torture her a bit before killing her. Though in the state he was currently in, maybe he would grant the mare a bit of mercy and finish her off quickly. Pain was quite a damper on his cheery, violent mood. No matter how the mare died, Chloros planned to afterwards find shelter in some hollow or cave until the storm let up. The Kalona supposed he could find a Unicorn and force it to heal his wing. Chloros was worried that the injury was rather severe, however, and might need multiple healings. That would not be very enjoyable. Chloros hated Unicorns with a passion. Angeni could have many personality flaws, but Unicorn were the very definition of purity and goodness. Chloros' skin crawled at the thought of having to spend an extended period of time with one. The Kalona tried to raise his hoof, but it was stuck in the mud. He gave a great sigh. The stallion was now going to spend more of the precious energy he had left getting his hooves out of the mud. But as Chloros struggled with the sticky substance, he was unaware of another danger that lurked silently all around him. The lightning, in a great flash of anger and beauty, struck out at the trees near the Kalona. One of the strikes hit their mark, severing the great redwood in two. One half resisted the attack, standing tall in defiance of the storm's rage. The other fell with a great groaning sound drowned out by the thunder. It toppled over slowly, almost as if it was trying to give the Soquili beneath it ample time to escape. But Chloros did not notice the falling tree until it was too late. The first branch stuck him in the head. Skull already bruised from the fall, the impact quickly knocked him unconscious. The rest of the tree knocked him to the ground, pinning his back legs. The Kalona's limp body collapsed into the mud, which eagerly grabbed onto him. He was vulnerable now, both to the elements and to any ill-intentioned Soquili in the immediate area.

The storm became worse around them and that snap and creaking made her frame jerk, she watched that tree come down, turning her head away from the falling tree, Her eyes would close until it came crashing to the ground. Wounded frame and all she moved over to where the stallion was, wondering of he was able to move, but her eyes moved over the tree to the frame that laid partly under it. Slightly upset over the fact she may not get to torture him more then she already did. Eyes checked for a rise of breath before moving so that she could push the tree.
The pain in her body would seem to double as she pressed against the tree, there was no way she was going to be able to move it on her own, she was in to much pain, and each moment she wasted the storm grew worse. Those glimmering reds scanned over the forest, thinking of what to do next. Tail gave a heavy flick as she turned back to the stallion, moving slowly around the tree, her body weak making her grind her teeth. After a few minutes she looks at the sky, the clouds were starting to funnel, and the storm was hitting the point to find shelter.
This might be the final time the stallion would see light. Her frame seeming to shimmer as the lightning makes her fur light up, in the distance another crack and the smell of smoke. Somewhere one of the trees had caught on fire, her skin crawled, flexing heavily at the thought of just how bad things were becoming, but she would live, she knew the land better then most as much as she has traveled it, in not only air but ground.
