 Today was looking up for one female hyena named Jua'Binti. The dark-furred adult had been wandering for a while now - ever since she had ditched her idiot of a suitor months ago, far across the rogue lands, and had just come upon a bit of luck involving a nice meal and cherished time alone.
Really, though, every day since she had ditched that moron was a good day, even if she didn't know where he was. Stupid thing, thinking he could tell her what to do and that she would obey like some mild-mannered servant. Psh. Like she'd ever be tied down to someone that obnoxious. He'd run crying to his daddy the moment she'd turned around and bit his tail for sniffing after her like that. And she'd do the same to any male that thought he could win her over that way.
Snorting, Jua adjusted her bite on the bone she was chewing, trying to get the best angle to crack it open and retrieve the marrow from it. Yes.... she valued her freedom. It might be nice to settle down in one place, to have a home - but she would never bow down to morons in order to get it! And since it seemed most of the more interesting places were run by heavypawed idiotic males, she didn't think she would be settling down any time soon.
She chewed a bit more on her bone, then flicked her ears - had she just heard something?
"Who's there?"

 Sudaj had been watching the dark female for a while, and he'd made certain to be as quiet as possible. After all, how could he sneak around leering at females unnoticed if he made any indication that he was creeping from afar? It was bad enough that he was no longer Dikeledi's main man, which was just as well because that broad had given him a son that he wasn't completely proud of. She'd gotten the daughters she'd wanted and he'd just.. kind of gotten.. well, Kele. Exhaling softly, Sudaj got back to the subject at paw -- trolling for a**. The female he'd been watching for a few long moments had been gnawing on a bone like she knew her way around it ( if you catch my drift) and he couldn't help but continue to watch her, well, at least until he'd shifted onto a dry twig. The sound was pretty imperceptible but the female's head had shot up -- he'd been caught. Game on. Rising to his feet and peering over a big hunk of rock, Sudaj put on his best sexy face and watched her openly. "It's just me," he called out, making his way out from around the rock. A smirk on his muzzle, one brow raised in invitation; it was obvious that Sudaj had GAME. Well, it was obvious to Sudaj, at least.

Oh, great. From one idiot male to a worse one. At least this one didn't have any power to try and flaunt over her. Jua bared her teeth as her hackles lifted, and the female climbed to her paws, burning green eyes boring into the stranger. How long had he been there?!? How long had this stinking male been watching her?
"And who is 'just you', anyway? Or do you not have a name? Get out of here and let me eat in peace."
She would try the semi-polite route, at least for the moment. There was no need to waste her energy bloodying up morons for no reason, after all. But if there was reason, well... this idiot looked like he could use it. Regardless of his personality, she wouldn't be driven from her resting place, and she would never be dragged off by someone who... honestly looked like he had some kind of mental condition what was going on with his face?
Jua backed away a little once she got a clear look at it, slightly horrified - did he have some kind of disease that caused facial spasms?!?

Ohh yeah. That sounded good. That sounded awesome, in fact, it might've been the smooooooooothest thing he'd said in a long time. He couldn't help himself, he was just that good.
It was a gift, Sudaj thought to himself as he took a few steps forward. Even now she was staring at him like she couldn't get enough of his face. That was good. Sudaj didn't like chasing the ladies. He much preferred it when the ladies came to him.
"I'm Sudaj," he continued, that sly smirk still on his face. "But you can call me lover if you want to."
Smoooooooth. Oh yeah. This was going to be easy.

"... Did your mother drop you off a cliff when you were a pup or something?" Jua asked, suddenly unable to take then newcomer seriously. Did he really think that he was... flirting? Hitting on her? Doing something other than make himself out to be the stupidest creature in existence? She stared at him for a moment longer, then picked up her bone and chucked it at his head.
"The only thing I'm calling you is stupid. Is there something you want? Or will you go away like I already told you to do?"
Seriously did he think he was being attractive? The only thing he was doing was managing to make her nauseous...

Well, now, he wasn't expecting that. Maybe she just felt like she had to put up a front. That was fine, he would give her a little more effort, brush his shoulder against hers, whisper a few little sweet words and BAM, she'd be like mud in his paws. He would be able to do whatever he wanted.
"Maybe she did," he cooed at her, shifting even closer while he wiggled his brows up and down. Just as he was opening his mouth to continue with that train of thought, the bone she'd been chewing on thwapped him right upside the head.
"OUCH!!"
That had hurt!! Was she flirting with him? Is this how hyenas did things where she came from? Sudaj wasn't certain. And then she called him stupid. Told him to go away.
Sudaj was on to her game.
"You don't have to hide how you feel, beautiful. It's just you and me here."

"Oh, I don't, do I?" Jua asked, realizing that nothing would stop this idiot from... well, being an idiot. Quickly, she thought of an alternative solution. It wouldn't be pleasant, but if it would make him get the message. Or kill him.
Either way, she wouldn't have to put up with this stupid behavior any longer.
Stepping closer to him, she lowered her hackles and ducked her head, feigning a submissive posture. "You're sure? There's no-one around to see?" She asked, adding just a little quaver to her voice to sell the act - not that it would be hard to sell with someone as completely hung up on himself as this hyena was.
The dark-furred female batted her eyes slightly... then leaped for his throat, teeth bared. Even if she didn't kill him, maybe this would make him get the message!

Whoa whoa whoa! The broad was totally into him!! Like, a little too much, even!
"Hey!" He leapt back, a scowl coming over his face, "Look, okay, I know that you want me but I really think we should find a place with more privacy before you try and jump all over me. Sheesh." He shook his head and watched her warily. The last thing he needed was her attacking him just so that she could get some.
"Look, follow me back to my place, hmm? Afterwards you can hang out with my ex-girlfriend and do whatever it is that chicks do." That's right, Sudaj had to keep his ladies in check!

"WHAT?!?" Could any one male really be this dense? Jua had thought that her former suitor had been bad but... at least he knew how to take a hint when the fangs were bared! What would it take to make this disgusting, sorry excuse for a hyena leave her alone?!?
Okay. Okay. She had to breathe. Red was creeping into her vision and she didn't really want to lose it. Not here, not now. Not even on this idiot. He wasn't worth her time. How else could she get out of this situation? Violence obviously wasn't going to work, and there was absolutely no way she was going to give him what he wanted.
Instead -wait, ex-girlfriend? This.... maybe this could work!
"Alright. I'll go to your... 'place'. Ish. But first I'd like to speak with your ex-girlfriend. To... uh... be prepared for what to expect, so I'm not.... overwhelmed."
She had absolutely no intention of ever doing anything with him, but he didn't need to know that. Maybe his ex could help keep him off her back? Besides, she was kind of curious to see what kind of hyena would put up with... that thing.

Yes. Score. Score, score, score. Then again, he wasn't surprised. Of course she was coming with him. After all, what wasn't to want?
"Excellent. We aren't that far. I've had to kind of ...take a break from my home-clan because my break-up with my ex-girlfriend has been kind of messy." He gave a woeful look to the female before realized he didn't even know her name.
Hey, no problem. Less mess, no fuss. Sudaj was totally into those no-strings-attached kind of things. Hell yes.
"Like I said, we aren't far, and soon enough you're going to have me all to yourself." He was certain that thought thrilled the female.
Today hadn't turned out so bad after all.
