Feeling refreshed after her meeting with the cute little leotah cub, Biopele, Cradily was actually feeling a little frisky herself. She could hardly sit and bush stalk her prey when the little guy had filled her with so much energy and so instead she jogged across the terrain in search of something interesting to do. A heavily muscled frame lifted clouds of dust with each step of her paws in the dry dirt, causing the flying insects in the grass around her to hop and take flight in annoyance of being disturbed. This created a chain reaction as the guinea hens in the area went chasing after them---and a game was already forming in her mind.
A rather childish one at that, but hey.. nobody was around to scold her for not acting her age.

Yamile sat in the grasses, her eyes scanning the savannah and wondering about what the future held for her. She wondering if she would do well enough in this life to return to her status as a goddess. Even more so she wondered about the other's she met who bore wings, surely they were not all god and goddess' of past. Sure they had not all had some grave error in judgement that ruined their lives.
Reborn as a mortal, it was unthinkable.

It hadn't taken the idea to form into a full blown mess as bugs went scattering, chased by hungry little land birds who were in turn torn after by a bored leopardess with far too much time on her hands. Naturally, this sort of chaos was just bound to be an accident waiting to happen. Laying in wait for the most opportunistic moment.
And what could be more opportunistic than an innocent lioness sitting by her lonesome? As the dull, deaf leaf colored grasshopper veered off the direct path and out of harm's way--surviving for yet another day--the rotund fowl that chased after it was hardly so agile. Its useless wings flapping frantically as it skid and slid towards the seated female only to end up crashing between her forelegs. This brought us to Cradily who, in her excitement, had failed to acknowledge the unwanted company that she happened to be heading straight towards until she was nearly on top of her.
Awh s**t. Groaning the words with a roll of her eyes, she didn't bother to even attempt avoiding the oncoming collision. There was little that would stop her bulk once she got to her top speeds, but the least she could do was offer a fair warning. Get out of the way if you don't wanna be run over you dumb puff tail! I can't stop!

Yamile looked up with distance eyes and hardly realizing the other was headed straight for her. She blinked slowly her thoughts which clouded her head falling away allowing her sense to drift forward. She blinked again the words of the other filling her ears then she jumped up in one fluid motion leaping to the side.
She looked to the other and frowned, giving her a hard stare, a look that said you dare. She shook out her fur, before sitting before the other, her ears twitching in irritation.
"Hello," she said in a slightly clipped voice, trying to allow her emotion to fall away.

Thank the gods for small favors. Was all that crossed Cradily's mind as the elegant lioness carefully stepped out of the way just as the green leopardess skidded by in a home run slide on one flank. A wispy breeze causing the grass to rustle as Cradily passed by, managing to sink her claws into the dirt an slow her momentum enough to stop. Unfortunately, she hadn't seen which way her guinea hen play-toy had gone which left her with just one option left. Conversing with this.... fine specimen of feline heritage.
Pfft. She could hardly think that with a straight face. Picking herself up the rugged female shook the dust from her flower-colored pelt and gave the stranger a long once over. Amused by her clipped greeting. Hey there snow white, you're pretty quick.

Yamile frowned slightly and shook her head, "thank you, I am told I am quite agile, but my name is Yamile, not snow white and you should address me as such."
She came closer and looked the female over, "I have never seen someone lose control of themselves while running, especially not a leopard." She sat regarding the other with a slight curiosity.
She gave a small smile wondering why this leopardess was sent her way and just what deed would be require of her on this day.

I'd rather not address you at all, personally. Cradily stated indifferently, sniffing. She could hardly muster the interest to glance at this Yamile character while she spoke. What was it about lions and their self important ways? Her gaze drifting two and fro in quick, scanning glances. Where the hell had that damn guinea hen run off to? Edging backwards away form the lioness as she encroached on the masked, female's personal space, her muzzle wrinkled with distaste.
Yea.. well I'm probably not like any leopard you've ever met. So deal with it. I suppose you wouldn't have happened to have seen which way my bird went, eh? Cradily tried to muster the desire to actually converse with this female, but it was difficult. She'd yet to meet a lion she liked.

Yamile frowned at the other's word, if she rather not address her than quite frankly Yamile thought she shouldn't have, but she did and so Yamile asked her voice soft and even almost floatly, "then why did you?"
She sighed her ear flicking to where she new the bird to be hiding hoping not to become dinner or worse a play thing. She desire to help the leopardess was weigning and despite her wanting to earn back her wings she was sorely tempted to walk away.
Yamile crouched down low eying the grass to the left of them. She was silent, almost eerily before she was off bounding with an astonishing amount of grace as if she floated toward the bird. She stopped with ease right in front of it and watched it flutter off terrified and rather confused.
"There are more," she said, " just listen. Can't you hear that terrified fluttering heart beats."

To find out where... Watching as the wing marked female bounded off, she sighed to herself, thinking that the lioness had simply left in the middle of their conversation--though it could hardly be considered as much. Muttering to herself under her breath, Well.. so much for that.
Yet almost exactly as the words left her maw, Yamile had stopped short causing her hiding hen to startle and squawk as it was flushed from the underbrush where it had been laying low. Waddling off with it's wings out stretched and flailing as fast as it's skinny legs could carry it through the tall grass. Huh. Interesting. Frowning at the criticism that was offered. She certainly wasn't asking for critiques. It was only a game.. not like Cradily was hunting in reality. I wasn't trying to.. no.

Yamile laughed lightly, "you should try it. I bet you can flush one out easily. I wonder who can flush out more." Yamile was challenging the other. It wasn't totally fair because Yamile did know where another two were, but there were probably more and since she was awaken and her blood was pumping why not.
Yamile did not think it was above a goddess to play just this once, she was turned mortal for a reason right. She did not know the reason, but she thought the solution was to help, guide and even protect other's so the challenged was issued.
She gave a soft smile, "so shall we? Me against you, to see who can flush out the most."

There was definitely something strange about this lioness, despite everything Cradily had said thus far, Yamile could still laugh engagingly and even offered to play with her. Perhaps she was confused.. or maybe the leopardess hadn't made herself clear... enough. Yet. Staring pointedly at the other from where she had stood, unbudging. Look. Maybe you're a little slow.. and you just.. don't understand. Or maybe.. you simply can't fathom a scenario where someone might not be automatically drawn towards you, but I.
A paw lifted to gesture at herself, touching her own chest purposefully. Don't like lions. Sorry I had 'ta crash into you and all.. but I don't want to play with you.. I don't even wanna be around you.
And actually.. it was true. Cradily was sorry. She almost felt bad for this oblivious creature. What an awkward situation. Nobody had ever reacted to her in quite this way before. She wasn't exactly quite sure how to handle it.

Yamile frowned extremely irritated at the arrogant words of the other before her. Did this leopardess think herself above Yamile. She was cursing the gods for sending her such a problem and was a bit unsure how to go about this one.
She moved back toward the other female with her soft gate that barely made a sound, circling her before sitting before her. "There is nothing slow about me. I would say if anything I have an astonishing amount of patience especially for the female who nearly runs me over, addresses me rudely and insults me in the matter of a few moments."
She looked up to sky, "by the gods," she hissed to herself.
"What reason do you have to hate lions, so much so that you would cast such malicious words onto me?"

So the straw had finally broken the lion's back had it? Cradily watched with vague amusement as Yamile came trotting back at her, giving her head and shoulders a disinterested shake. A gesture that seemed to give the illusion that the leaf-shaped markings which created a collar around her neck waved around as well. It was only too bad her words hadn't caused the lioness to flee in the opposite direction. It was more inquiry than a statement, actually. I didn't actually say you were slow.. merely questioned that you might be. You're the one getting bent out of shape over technicalities.
And actually.. that may be a good indication that you were. Most would have started a fight... or left by now. Why don't you? It seemed like a legitimate question. Golden eyes piercing Yamile through the blackness of the mask upon her face. Suddenly clucking her tongue dismissively at the question that was in turn directed back at her. It was certainly fair to ask, but Cradily didn't want to answer. That is none of your business..

Yamile shook her head, "I was offended as I should be if you think someone would want to fight over such silly words. They are that, silly falsities coming from the mouth of someone who knows nothing about me. As to why I would not fight or leave, you words insight indignation and curiosity not anger and I rarely see a reason to fight. As you can see I am different."
She seemed unphased by the leopardess snapped words although she frowned slightly. "Be that as it may, you display toward me has made it my business. You obviously need to talk about whatever it is."

Grimacing at Yamile, she didn't like the way this was going at all. What a strange lioness she had stumbled into and it certainly didn't appear as if she was going to go away with any small amount of nudging. Why, oh why had this happened to her? Was it because she had been careless about who she stumbled into that the Gods chose to punish her this way? Giving the sky above a questioning glance the leopardess frowned irritably.
Gathering herself to stand upon all four of her evenly worn paws Cradily made to brush past the pale female. She certainly wasn't about to get into it with some stranger. Particularly with a lion. Hardly. You make it your business because you've got nothing better to do, but I've got no time to sit around chatting it up with you. If I wanted to talk about it it certainly wouldn't be with some stray bimbo like you!
Maybe others would have seen it as running away from the situation, but to them Cradily would have also said "mind your own damn business". Her past was her own to share or not to share with anyone she so chose and at the moment she wished only to escape this awkward encounter which had gone on too long for her taste. Good bye, snow white.
