The jar of dust bunnies in her arms were hugged to her chest as she followed the Wrath demon out of class and to the demon dorms, not quite sure what to say to him... And she wasn't even sure if he appreciated small talk at all. Thankfully, they reached the common room soon enough; it was empty, which meant that they had it all to themselves to do their little 'dust bunny research'.
... Although she had no idea where to start.
She placed her jar down on the top of a table, squatting down next to it and staring into the jar; the dust bunnies were doing much, just... Standing around. Gently, she tapped the glass with a finger, trying to get them to react, before looking up at West, offering him a small smile, "So.... Any suggestions on what we should do now?"

West held his jar loosely by the lid with one hand, wiggling it a little before setting it next to Lizzy's. His bunnies were just as listless as hers, even after their brief shakeup. He hadn't ever considered that homework for sex ed would be easier than this, but if the stupid creatures they were supposed to be studying just sat there, it was going to turn out that way. They only really seemed animated when they were out of the...
"We could let 'em out?" He looked down at her and shrugged. "Seems t'be the only time they... ran around 'n stuff." West was moderately confident they could catch them all again with only minor casualties. "'Less we just tell Savage all they do is sit under beds, not scarin' anyone at all." Worst. Research. Ever.

"They like big spaces, maybe...?" She considered this for a moment, looking around the room before nodding, "Well! No harm trying!"
Taking the lid off her jar, she took one of the dust bunnies out, careful not to squish it as she set it down on the table, staring at it for a little while before gently nudging it, hoping for it to do something.
The dust bunny shook at the touch, peering at its fellow dust bunnies of the Dusterian religion in the jar church; it must somehow go back into the jar and be with its leader! It must-
Its attention went briefly to the jar next to the one it had came from, its eyes focused on one particular dust bunny inside. Immediately, it hopped over, pressing it's face against the cold glass at the dustiest, prettiest dust bunny under the bed it had ever seen.

"Maybe," West said, smirking a bit. Even if the bunnies just sat around once they were free, letting them out was the only thing he could think to do. He watched Lizzy open her jar and remove one of the animals. At first, it seemed they were forever doomed to fail this assignment. The bunny remained motionless, at least until it was poked. When it hopped over to peer inside his own jar, West gave it his full attention.
"Think they know each other?" he asked, half joking. He opened the lid of his jar and reached inside, lifting out the bunny that other bunny seemed so entranced by and placing it nearby.
Pat the Bunny might have been the dustiest bunny under the bed, but it was also the loneliest. It had never been one to make a spectacle of itself, and had lived a solitary life until the day it had emerged into Professor Savage's class and been captured by this horrible, smelly demon. Nothing to do now except stare at its feet and await death.
But wait! Out of the corner of its eye, Pat noticed movement outside the jar. Its own jarmates seemed just as dejected as Pat itself was, but this outside bunny was a breath of dusty air! It was rugged, strong and had an adventurous gleam in its beady little eyes.
Pat didn't even struggle as West lifted it from the jar. Its dusty heart went pitter pat at the sight of the other bunny, and it looked down at its feet, blinking in a way that it hoped was alluring.

The moment Pat was placed down beside it, the dust bunny from the Church of Dusterian froze, feeling like it might just explode into dust particles from nervousness; Pat's every movement was so elegant, so filled with dust that it was love at first sight for Dustin... No doubt about it. Pat was the dust bunny for it - there would be no other!
... But no! Surely its jar-mates would disapprove?! After all, the church required them to not love or make love... Its gaze lingered on the dusty dust bunny in front of it for a moment, conflicted; should it betray its Church and family for true love? Perhaps their love was just... Not to be. However, one look into those dark eyes of Pat and Dustin knew what it had to do; true love like this only comes once every few days, after all!
It leaned forward, nudging the other gently with its nose in greeting. Then, it shook its dusty body, sending dust flying into the air, some of it landing on Pat. The message was plain and simple - Be mine.
"Is that some kind of a... Ritual? Greeting? Either way, it does look like they know each other..." She immediately stood up when dust started to fly, not wanting to inhale any, "I didn't see any of them doing that in class though..." Then again, she was too busy going 'Awww, how adorable!' 50% of the time; the other 50% of the time, she was trying to catch one of them to put into her jar.
Dustin, meanwhile, gestured (as subtly) as possible to the open door with its ears. Its eyes said 'Trust me' - yes, it will elope to someone's under bed with its one true love, and they would start their own little family... If Pat was willing anyway.

Pat looked up as Dustin nose-nudged it. This was a dream come true! It was the greatest feeling in the world! So freeing! Pat was floating on a dusty cloud of infatuation. It raised its nubby little arms high when Dustin's dust wafted through the air, pirouetting daintily through the miniature dust storm. So pretty!
West's brows furrowed. These things definitely hadn't acted like this in class.
"Dancin'?" he muttered. "I... uh... think we'd better..." He reached for Pat, but the bunny hopped out of the boil's reach.
Pat's return glance could mean only one thing. I trust you. Its gaze shifted toward the door, then back to Dustin. 'Hurry. They suspect.' It hopped to the edge of the table and took a deep dust-bunny-breath-equivalent.

"It does... Sort of look like a dance," She blinked, tilting her head as she stared at the dust bunnies. When West reached out to take his, she nodded, reaching for her own as well; however, it hopped out of the way, slipping past her fingers. She frowned, staring as they hopped to the edge of the table. A worried expression crossed her face, "I think we better put them bac-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Dustin had nodded at Pat, leaping off the table while letting out an odd, high-pitched 'wheeee'. When it landed, it rolled a short distance before glancing back at its love, 'Follow me!' Quickly, it then sped towards freedom, short limbs flying as it ran towards the open common room door.
"... WEST, THE DOOR. THE DOOR." She exclaimed, grabbing her jar and quickly screwing the lid on before running after the dust bunnies, "Hurry!"

What in the... West grabbed at Pat again, but was thwarted a second time.
Pat looked at Dustin. It didn't need to be asked twice. It hopped after the other bunny, holding its forepaws up as it jumped, then scampered out the door. Pat's whole future opened up in front of it as it ran, sneaking sidelong glances at the beautiful dusty being that was... Dustin. Sigh.
"HEY!" West slammed the lid back onto his jar, but left it behind as he ran after Lizzy.
Pat looked over its shoulder. Oh no! That awful boil was plodding after them! What to do? What to do!
"There!" West said, pointing at the tail end of his bunny as it disappeared through another open door. Where did it think it was going?

Dustin would grab onto Pat's paw, but the lack of thumbs made it kind of hard; instead, it kept looking back, making sure that its beloved was following. They were almost there! To freedom! "Come back!" She yelled, trying to keep up with the dust bunnies; for something with such short limbs, they sure move fast! As they darted through another open door, she skidded to a stop before quickly turning - only to trip over a cleaning gnome who was doing some cleaning (only it was skiving on the job and sleeping), falling flat on her face, the jar in her arm falling to the floor, somehow surviving the impact... And rolling down the hall fast.
"O-ow..." She muttered, rubbing her nose as she crawled up, her ego more bruised than her body. She twitched, glaring at the gnome who had tripped her (accidentally due to skiving on the job), before punting it and going after her jar, her face red with embarrassment.

The demoness was still ahead of him when she tripped, but West continued past her, glaring at the bunnies as they somehow managed to keep escaping. Maybe they were specially suited to riding the wind currents present in the halls of the demon dorms. Some deep, dark part of his brain tucked the speculation away for in-class discussion.
By the time he turned back around, the ghoul was already on her way to being upright again. Her jar rolled toward him, and West stuck out a foot to stop it. Even though he had kind of seen her fall, West only belatedly seemed to register that Lizzy was recovering from a faceplant.
"Yer fine, right?" he asked. She looked fine.
Pat kept hopping. They were almost there! Almost to the bed! To freedooooooooom!

She flashed the wrath demon a (lame) thumbs up at his question, feeling too embarrassed to actually admit that yes, her nose hurt from the fall and she might had scrapped her knee, but those were minor things and would probably go away soon - she had to adapt a 'Petro' mentality here.
Quickly picking up her jar and holding it up toe inspect the dust bunnies inside, she realized that the jar was now dusty, probably from dust generated by the creatures, and there was a lack of movement... Did the bump knock them out? Not wishing to risk opening the jar and checking while standing in the corridor, she looked up at West and gave his a nod, "Y-yeah, let's go."
Dustin was trying to look for the perfect door to duck under when it spotted it - the door it had been looking for. With a twitch of its ear, it gestured for its dear Pat to follow, ducking under one of the dorm room doors; with some difficulty, it got in, waiting on its one true love before making its way to the bed... To freedom.
Freedom also happened to be West's room.

With a nod of his own, West turned to give chase once more. It seemed the dust bunnies weren't about to give up. No, they were gallivanting through the halls like damned idiots and making him and Lizzy look like idiots as well. He rounded the corner at the end of this short stretch of hallway and called out to his bunny. It turned and looked up at him, dusty nose twitching.
"Listen 'ere y'piece o' crap. I'll let y'go if y'stop running." His promise made little sense, but West was more than confident that the dusty little menace would never understand what he was saying anyway.
It was true, Pat couldn't comprehend what the stupid demon was going on about, but his tone was clear enough. He was, well, not a very nice boil, and he clearly meant them harm. Pat's gaze strayed to the crack under the door nearest it. One barely perceptible rude paw gesture later, Pat had scrambled after its dusty love.
"What?!" West shouted. What had just...? How? He had been so busy paying attention to chasing and running and snarling that he kind of hadn't noticed where they were. "Those b*****d's're in my room!" He reached into his pocket, pulled out his keys and had his door open in record time. His bed was visible down the short hallway right inside his door, and sure enough, West could see Pat lingering around its base.
He knew he probably shouldn't startle them, but if they didn't do something, the stupid bunnies were going to get away.
"Grab 'em!"

She wasn't sure what to make of the boil's little threat, although it seemed that it didn't work anyway.
"Your room?!" She echoed, following after West and struggling to keep up; she was actually rather relieved to see the dust bunnies duck under (apparently) West's door, since it meant that they no longer had to run.
When the door was thrown open, it wasn't difficult to see where the dust bunnies were headed to - the bed. She had a feeling that once they dive under the bed, it would be impossible to find them again... Plus she wasn't sure West would appreciate them making the underside of his bed their... Uh, love nest.
"O-okay!" She ran towards the two dust bunnies with a determined expression, the jar clutched tightly in one hand as she stretched out the other hand, diving for her dust bunny... At least, she was sure it was hers. They look awfully similar to her, and it was difficult to tell them apart. To her surprise, her hand grabbed onto something soft and rather chalky as she flopped to the ground, wincing. In her hand, Dustin let out a loud squeak as it started to flail.
'Go without me!' It seemed to scream at Pat, the love of its love, 'Forget about me and be happy!'

Pat squeaked in dismay as Lizzy's hand closed around its beautiful soul mate. Nooooooooooooooooooooo! It held up its paws toward Dustin. 'I'll never forget you!'
West slid to his knees and reached out for the remaining bunny, but Pat turned and dove under the bed a second too quickly. With a silent poof, it became indistinguishable from the rest of the dust under the boil's bed.
"Jackdammit!" West shouted, sending the dust swirling with the breeze created from his fists hitting the floor. He clenched his teeth, but reigned in any subsequent outbursts for Lizzy's benefit.
"That's it," he muttered. "We're done." He managed to stop himself from telling her to get out as well. It was likely a moment of shame for wrath demons everywhere. West turned and glared at Dustin. Stupid bunny.

Lizzy lingered on the ground for a while, hand holding firmly onto Dustin as she peered under the bed, looking out for any signs of movement from West's escaped dust bunny. After a short while, she climbed to her feet and placed her captured dust bunny into the jar with the others, remaining awkwardly silent as she pondered what the boil mean by 'we're done'; she didn't exactly learn much, after all...
She was about to comment on that when she sort of sensed West's unsaid words - he must feel pretty bad about losing that dust bunny or something, not that she could blame him.
"Alright, I'll be leaving now then," She finally muttered, breaking the silence, offering him a small, sheepish smile, "Uh... Do you need my number for anything...?" She figured she might as well ask.
