Sweet warm spots of grey sunlight poured onto the monster hall floor. There was not a more comfortable place to be for a cold blooded half beast like Unstabul. It was unusual for the waves of light to be this phenomenally strong so when the boil paced down the corridor expecting to play some snotball he instead stopped- hypnotized by a warm streak across his body.
"Heeeeeeello there..." he cooed to himself and backtracked to the bright illuminated spot on the floor. Bul set his snot ball down and began to kneel, curling up in the spot on the floor, completely content with lying in the middle of the walkway. "This is perfect-" He curled up and rested his head on the snotball- gross- and let his tail surround him in the outline of the window's shape.
Should he be looking for classes to take? Yes. Should he be working out and practicing FEAR in his room? Maybe. Should he bother to get up and do these things now? Not a chance.
Bul was already dozing off in this little pocket of paradise, easily in the way of any other monster trying to navigate the dorm hallways.

Mot was not going to let his fear of the labyrinth that was the Monster Dorms keep him from seeing his friends. While his first trip inside had led him to temporary insanity, Mot was insistant on getting over this fear. Fear was weakness. And he was sick and tired of having a larger list of weaknesses than strengths. So, the reaper texted his friend Mitsu and asked for detailed directions to her dorm room. using this, he woul condition himself to not fear the halls of the Monster Dorm. Quote: go straight from the door until you see an small statue bust of a fishy like person (most likely 'decorated' by gnomes) make a left His entire focus was on the cell phone and whatever landmarks he needed to look for. Quote: there is a picture that looks like someone threw up paint on it, take a right at that Mot cringed, taking a right and trying not to lose his lunch. Quote: if you see a tapestry with the flying dutchman you have gone too far ... Mot grunted and looked at his phone. Quote: turn back and be sure to stop when you see the shredded couch in the hall and make a right With a sigh he turned on his heel and moved to change direction. A couple of steps in his foot caught on something sleeping on the floor. A gargled yelp escaped him as the reaper tumbled to the floor, his eyephone sliding across the hall out from his grasp. Mot groaned, and pulled himself away from what was on the floor. "Jacking Hell.. what--" Wait.. wasn't that Bul?! Why was he on the floor?! "Y-You alright, partner?"

Since when was a sleeping half beast a landmark in the monster hall? Bul opened an eye as he was stumbled over and growled momentarily until he saw who it was. "Mot? What are you doing here?" he asked sleepily and yawned. After watching the eyePhone come to a stop he slowly curled his tail around it and slid it back towards Mot while still laying.
"I'm totally fine though you look like you've seen better days. Just found this sun spot on the floor just HAD to take advantage of it," Bul replied and turned to lay on his back now, watching the many flecks of dust floating carelessly over his head. "So what are you doing here in the monster dorms anyway? You's a reaper right?" he asked with a raised brow. Both had good reason to question the other of his... location. Bul wasn't quick to suspect many reapers avoided sleeping in random locations on their floor. Especially if it was as dirty as his.

Mot blinked beneath his hat, effectively puzzled at Bul's lazy attitude. He seemed almost.. zen like? His gaze dropped back to the sunspot on the floor. Bul had seemed to camp himself there, much like a cat or lizard. The latter made sense. "Right. In the middle of a hallway?" Perhaps it was Mot's fault for not paying attention, but he normally did not have to worry about bodies on the floor.
Mot sat up, crossing his legs and set to have a chat with Bul, since he was here anyway. "Oh, uh yes. I'm a reaper. I was here to visit Mitsu." He answered, taking his phone now that Bul had been so kind as to bring it back.
"Do you often take naps out here?"

"Sometimes, not often. Most of the time you've got a lot of noise out here and I've got my own heat lamp in my room. However, today is one of those rare days where its just perfect enough. Also my lamp bulb broke and that s**t costs a lot. ******** my life," Bul pouted and tapped the floor with his loud claws.
"Mitsu? I don't think I know a Mitsu. Then again I don't know a lot of monsters, so.." he shrugged. "I've been out to the bog once since the swim lessons but I didn't go to far in the water. Can't afford another incident like that without someone there to keep an eye on me heh,"
For a moment he leaned on his arm to converse less distantly. "So Mot.. we haven't talked much really outside of the here and there. Been using the fitness room much?" Something about being in this patch of nirvana made Bul uncharacteristically social. He wanted to share his love for the warmth much like the sauna.

"Tough luck, partner." Mot nodded sympathetically. It wasn't as if he could relate to the boil's problem, but he could sympathize at least. Where would one find a cheaper bulb, he had no idea.
"That's probably a smart idea. Though if you really wanted to go back, you can give me a call." It involved swimming and helping a friend. Mot wasn't a particularly busy fellow so it was not out of his way.
Mot didn't know Bul that well, but he seemed.. chattier? Definitely chattier. More than the reaper was used to coming from the monster. "Ah, no. I haven't used it since the paintball match. The machines scare me." He admitted sheepishly. Dare he admit he signed up accidentally? Not that he regretted it, but the task of actually excersizing was daunting. Still, he didn't wish to leave either. There were people who would have a few cross words for him if he did. "You use it often?" As far as he could tell the boil in front of his was fit enough to pass off as a regular at the gym. Then again, anyone compared to Mot would look that way.

"What, they scare you? How so?" Bul inquired while tapping his nails against the floor. "Are you just afraid to use them alone or..? Do you need some training or something? I mean I'm not one of the trainers but I at least know how to work the machinery.."
Expressing genuine concern and the desire to help the reaper was also out of character for Bul even in this change of atmosphere. Truthfully he considered Mot a comrade especially after the swimming lessons. So long as he didn't make fun of him he'd tolerate seeking help from the boil.
"I use them pretty often but I don't have a daily routine. It's pretty unrealistic to stay on a staple schedule for me at least. Even though that N.A.P. club is our enemy I sleep a lot more than I should.." Snickering a little he stretched his limbs. Right now he was a testimony to that.

"I've never used equipment before is all." Or exercised for that matter. "Some of them look like torture devices, don't you think?" Maybe if Mot actually wanted to train he would have asked, but as it stood, he couldn't care less. Now he simply liked the club for its members.
"No way~." Mot commented with a smirk. The way Bul was now it was almost like he was advertising for NAP. Well, if naps were blasphemy then Mot was a saint. Any nap he ever attempted never lasted past ten minutes.
"Is laying in a sun spot really that great?" Mot asked, shifting himself into the spot a little further. "Huh.. well this is kind of nice." Though he worried it might not feel so great if his leather coat got too heated. Maybe enjoying it was a reptilian thing exclusively.

"Torture devices, fun devices. Same thing really, right?" Bul's concept of torture devices was clearly different from the Reaper's. "But you wouldn't believe how much I sleep sometimes. I dunno, its kinda exhausting just doing workouts and playing snotball all day I'm shocked I haven't become comatose." Though when he did sleep in his room and it was stuffy and warm enough he could find himself in a state of hibernation almost.
"It's nice if you let it bake your skin. You're wearing so much that I think it'll only cook you from the inside out.. which makes even me sick sometimes.." he said making a disgusted face. There was such a thing as too warm for the lizard.

Same thing? "Don't want to know what gets you giddy, partner." Mot jested regarding torture devices being fun devices.
"Well, you keep on sleeping then. You want curses, then try insomnia on, my friend. In fact, let's trade." Mot grinned. "I'll do the sleeping and you stay up all night."
Wearing too much? Pshaw! Mot would be just fine! What was a little sunspot going to---
Oh Jack, he was cooking like an eyescream in Hell. Mot subtly slipped out of the jacket and slouched even further onto the floor, his hands behind his head. He could stay here all day! It was so warm and relaxing!

Bul couldn't help but roll his eyes. "And we'll avoid discussing them as I would rather not know what gets you off either.." he snickered and rested his arms behind his head. "Insomnia? Damn the closest I've ever had to that was just.. that one... time.." It was best not to bring up that subject in detail. He'd already had that misadventure with a horsewoman.
There was a pause when Bul practically counted down until the moment Mot would free himself of his coat.
The half beast was prepared to ask the boil if he'd be trying out for bruteball though the previous remarks on his experience with the work out machines was already a good enough answer. "So did you go out and get anything special with those seeds from the swimming lessons?" he asked. "It wasn't much split up amongst them all but he made sure things would be worth while. "I bet those massive coats cost a fortune eh?"

"That they do." Mot laughed. "I got this one in a discount bin, though." As he did for a good portion of his wardrobe. if he left it up to his mother to buy clothes, he'd never have the western attire he desired. "It'd be nice to have a fancy new one some day."
But what became of the seeds from the swim lessons?
"I bought coffee." He answered lazily. "Lot's of coffee." Mot fell silent for a moment, until he noticed the sunspot had moved slightly. Huh. Mot shifted over to accommodate.

Bul could not picture a discount bin full of western wear. Instead his idea of the discount bin was always graphic tees for scarelings and pants that were several sizes too big.
"Well I'll keep that in mind for the horrordays," Bul nodded and made the mental note- Mot. Wants. New. Coat. Thing.
"Damn. I hate coffee but I know a lot of creatures need it baaaaaad." The half beast grunted as the dim sunlight was crawling away from him and lazily he rolled into the new spot. "This ain't going to last too long I imagine."

Keep that in mind? Bul wouldn't be going to get him a new coat, would he? If so, Mot would have to be sneaky and find something equally awesome for him and may other friends. He'd either need a part time job or everyone would be getting hand crafted junk.
Mot hummed back in response, watching the sun spot move slowly from the corner of his eye. "Daaaaamn..." He whined. Clearly the lazy feeling was contagious. "I don't want to get up again." Why was he even here again? Did it matter? It couldn't be more important than this sun spot.
"I suddenly want to chew on a blade of hay..." That seemed like something a cowboy would do here...

"Wow that was incredibly-" Bul held it back instead and sneered a little. If Levi had been there he'd probably get a smack on the arm. Or a punch. More than likely the latter. "I can't say I've ever chewed on a blade of hay like in the pictures of cowboils but.. I couldn't agree any more."
Slowly the pumpkin orange glow of the sun was making its transition to purple. The warm spot that evening would bless Bul with was starting to vanish and the half beast stirred slowly.
"NNnnhhrhhhhh.... RRRRRRRRARRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr...."
A deep and menacing growl came bellowing from inside the monster's throat as his spines all stood on end and he pushed himself up gradually. "THE MOONLIGHT...
ITS...
ITS... HNNRKKK"
Flopping back down suddenly he threw Mot a scareling's pout. "It made the sun go away. >8"
