It had been a while since Grus had gone patrolling.

She whished she could blame it on something like finals, or a real life crisis or something. But the truth was, she was just tired.

Her last few encounters hadn't gone so well. Sure, Chaonis's training had helped immensely. She at least was able to throw a punch now and again. But the sickness, the feeling of horror she got from hit someone, and the subsequent display of this horror and sickness left her feeling ashamed.

Some senshi she turned out to be.

Even now, as a Super, she still hadn't managed to conquer this fear she had of fighting. Something held her back. It clung to her like a silly little sibling, unwilling to let go.

She wallowed in self pity above the bank, hiding among the shadows in case someone nasty should happen by. If they were human, at least he wouldn't have to fight. One bout of magic was usually enough to send them packing, if not flung to the floor asking her to not kill them.

She couldn't even if she wanted to.

He'd been part of the Negaverse for a day. A single day. In that time he'd done the only thing that you do after your life takes a drastic turn: sleep. All. Day. Long. He'd told his parents that his stomach hurt from stress (which, it had), but it was also just pure strain on having so much chaos shoved into his.. soul... body... star seed? Star seed seemed the correct word.

Yet, he'd decided to actually see what happened in Destiny City when the sun went down. He powered up and took a walk around the streets, his outfit not so outlandish that he stuck out. It was then he felt it, something intensely 'good' and also slightly more powerful than him.

Could it be a senshi, he wondered. Jarosite decided he would go check it out. He found himself in front of the bank, and looking for a way up. He found it after a few minutes of searching and climbed to the roof. It was there, he found a girl... wallowing almost, in a red and white costume.

A senshi. Perfect.

He didn't move from his spot next to the fire escape, simply watching the girl for a moment. He could do something about senshi now, couldn't he? Yes, he could (though Jarosite was slightly unsure as to how his picks would actually help him), but he'd be patient. Let her panic first.

At least for now.

She didn't feel the dark energy at first. She was too busy being depressed. But slowly it creeped into her sense, tingling like a shock from static electricity. Her feet moved of their own will and she rose, casting about for the signal that had disturbed her pity fest. She found him standing a few feet away by the fire escape. The same one Camelot had disappeared down a few weeks ago when he surprised her on her patrol.

He didn't do anything. Just watched her. It was kinda creepy. Grus faced him, tilting her head to one side in confusion.

"What? No battle cry? No sneak attack? No jeering or mocking?"

She crossed her arms in front of her and shifted her weight to her right leg, letting the other go outward.

"You new?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 02, 2011 12:14 pm

Jarosite watched her creepy like for another few moments. He snapped his fingers and held his picks casually, but firmly between his thumb and index finger on both hands. Oh he was definitely new. But he didn't speak, only thinking of the best way to attack her. His picks weren't the best thing for fighting, but maybe his steel-toed boots would enjoy her more.

He grinned, showing a bit of teeth. "Youma," he simply said, pointing a pick behind her. If she took the bait, and oh how he hopped she did, it left her wide open for attack.

He waited a moment, waiting for her to take the bait. If she did, he'd sprint towards her and kick, much like kicking a soccer ball, his left foot into her leg. If she didn't take it, well he was still gunna to it anyway. But at least he could be decieving first.

He just kept staring.

She couldn't tell what his weapon was. He seemed to be holding, it, but it was too small for her to see. That must suck for him. His weapon wasn't even that scary.

Instead f attacking he pointed behind her. Someone had told her that some Negaverse agents controlled youma. A creature of darkness to do their bidding. Was he sending forth his own youma to attack her?

She twisted her head, gazing over her shoulder. Her body went into a defensive stance, much like the one Chaonis had taught her. Of course there was nothing there. Just the darkness of the rooftop.

Grus tried to twist back around, anger flaring for a moment that she was fooled.

It was when she twisted back that his boot found home in her ribcage (or what he assumed was her ribcage; it was hard to tell with the feathers) and he followed through with the kick, sending her flying. Pain shot up through Jarosite's knee and he hissed.

Note to self: Living beings, aliens, senshi, human or otherwise, are a lot heavier than they look. Kick with caution.

His toes where fine, but his knee cried out in pain afterwards. Well it was worth a shot.

"Yer a heavy one aren't you? And what's with the like... one black bow? Don't you all match or some s**t?" he asked her, glaring at her mildly. He calmly walked over to her (forcing himself not to limp), moving his picks in between his index and middle fingers, pointy end sticking out. He clenched fists and looked down at her, grinning.

"Well fight back, jeez. Do I look that scary to you, really?"

She shouted when his kick collided with her body. She flew back a ways, landing on her injured side. She scrambled into a half crouched position, leaning on one knee as he approached. She inhaled deeply, feeling where the bruise was going to be.

Did he just call her fat? Her head shot upwards as he got closer. "Your asking me about fashion right now?" She said sarcastically, carefully inching her way into a position she could fight back in. He wanted her to fight back right?

She leaned sideways and shot a kick out towards his lower leg, or ankle. The kick unbalanced her, and she swayed heavily on her other leg. After the kick, she used the same leg to push herself away from the guy.

"The Negaverse matches more than we do!" She said, standing back up and putting her hands in front of her like she was taught. "Your use of blue looks perfectly awful, but at least your consistent." Being the art nerd she was, it felt good to be able to insult someone with color. "I mean, your outfit says cobalt, but your hair says..." she paused for effect "Easter egg."

The kick off balanced Jarosite, and aggravated the already in pain knee. He went down with a crash, almost on top of her. At the jab to his clothes he simply rolled his eyes and pushed himself to his feet.

To the jab at his hair color however...

His fist snapped out with his pick in it and caught her full in the cheek. "b***h. Don't ever insult my hair again. It's not a damn Easter Egg!" he yelled at her, all pain forgotten. Insulting his hair, hair that was naturally that color damnit had been something he'd had happen to before, mostly when he was younger.

Most chicks liked his hair.

This senshi had just crossed the line.

Grus smiled wickedly as the insult seemed to hit home. Then something hit her. Her hand instinctively went to her cheek, and she felt sticky-ness where her face was split open and bleeding.

"You wanna fight with paper cuts." She muttered, drawing her hands over her head while feathers began to appear. "Fine!" The ball of feathers was twice the size of her hands and growing. Her heartbeat raced, but magic wasn't a problem for her. She could fire that all day with no problems.

"Feather-Fall Strike!"

The cloud of feathers, close to the size of her own body, fired forward at the kid. The feathers swirled around, edges sharp. Instead of waiting for the cloud to dissipate, she ran to the fire escape, leaping down it and into the alley. If she could get away, she wouldn't have to fight. Sure the kid was annoying, but he was a hand to hand fighter. Something she wasn't good at.

The feathers weren't surprising. The pain that came with it was surprising. His coat kept most of the feathers from cutting his arms, but his face was not as lucky. Both cheeks leaked blood and his coat was shreaded. She shredded his coat! He glanced around, cursing as she wasn't there.

And then he remembered he could sense power signatures.

He slid down the fire escape and charged after the senshi, tracking her signature.

"You ain't getting away with that!"

A garbage can went tumbling away as Grus ran by. The noise that followed it was surely enough to catch the kid's attention. She finished the alleyway and ran across the street, jumping up onto another fire escape. It wasn't the best plan, but at least up top they wouldn't be seen as well.

Grus rolled onto the rooftop, knowing she could sense his power signature. But could Negaversers sense her power signature? She was worried to find out that she didn't know. If he could, her running would be useless, unless she powered down. But then she would have to find a place with people, and that was even more dangerous than her current situation.

He'd almost lost her. Jarosite wasn't good with these things, but it felt more natural than breathing to follow her signature. The turned over garbage can caught his attention and he spotted red and white flitting up a fire escape across the street. He gritted his teeth and sped after her, narrowly missing a few cars. He took the rungs two at a time and jumped over the top, misjudging the distance and crashing into the roof top. He rolled and came to a stop half sitting up.

"You shredded my coat with those feathers of yours. Is that all you do, little senshi? Cover people in feathers that cut and run away from them? Pitiful. At least fight back," he spat at her, with a maliciousness he wasn't aware he had. Apparently he really was attatched to his coat.

Or just his natural angry disposition towards senshi was ringing out. Whatever the case, the feathery one was going to pay for ruining his coat. He clenched his fists again, picks between his fingers. A very sly evil grin spread on Jarosite's face, his cockiness getting the better of him. And his anger. He wondered if she would run again.

He almost wanted her to.

"Well maybe I wouldn't have ruined your coat if you hadn't attacked me!" She said, backing away. "I wasn't doing a damn thing when you came wandering up there like you own the dang city!"

Was he really this upset over a coat? Did he know that it fixed itself once you powered down and then back up again? At least, fukus did that. Maybe Negaverse uniforms weren't the same. In that case, she was sure ONE of them could at least use a needle and thread.

"If your not causing trouble, I don't want to waste my time with you." She said with more bravado than she felt, crossing her arms. She didn't want this to go any farther. This kid obviously wanted a fight, but that was a fight Grus wasn't sure she wanted to be a part of.

She concentrated not on worrying herself with what could happen if he called her bluff, and instead focused on making him go away. And fast.

Jarosite didn't know that his outfit would replace itself upon powering down and powering back up again. So yes, he was really rather angry that this senshi had torn his jacket up. How was he going to tell Painite that he'd got the damn thing ruined.

"You were moping. And you're an alien. It's my job to deal with the aliens. Hence, I'm not just going to run away, little miss feathers," he said with a bit of a grin. He watched her, the grin widening.

"And I think you're scared."

Her face colored slightly, both at the accusation of being scared, as well as the name he used. Both of them bothered her, but the first irritated her the most.

"I'm no alien!" She said with annoyance. "I didn't come from another planet. I was born here on Earth!" What was with negaverse agents and assuming they were from other planets? It wasn't like some giant saucer came down in the middle of a wheat field and a bunch of kids in funny outfits came rushing out. We she supposed to believe that these guys were 100 percent Earthling?

And as for the moping..."I'll do whatever the hell I want with my time." She said angrily, catching Jarosite's eyes. "Because I don't spend it killing people. I'm no murderer. And maybe I was moping because I actually have feelings. You know, those things that usually stop you from committing manslaughter.. I feel bad about hurting other people."

She uncrossed her arms, holding them to her side. This wasn't the best stance to be in, she knew this. "Do you? When you rip out someone's starseed, do you watch them die?" The words flooded from her mouth. Did he really feel anything? "What about their family? Do you think about them?"

Her anger boiled over and her body moved of it's own accord. She ran forward, aiming a swing at him.
