I've decided to totally redo Elphie's journal--as in make a whole new thread for it. This old journal can still be used as a place to help me document private roleplay with Elphaba. If any wolves out there would like to meet or RP with Elphie feel free to post (this journal is now public) or PM Me, Tweek and we'll arrange something. :3

Background Story (Rough draft, here. XD) Elphaba was the second pup of her litter, born to alphas. It was her and her brother Chaq. Oddly, there had been two litters of pup within the pack in that one spring. Elphie's mother's sister had had a litter four weeks earlier. She was a beta female and her pups were healthy and assertive save for one, Brecka, who was obviously an omega. The other older pups paid little attention to the younger pups, they were more mature and more interested in eachother. Except Brecka, who was often chastised by his brothers and sisters. Even little Chaq(who clearly had the makings of an Alpha) ordered him around. Chaq loved teasing and pestering Brecka and Elphie would either join in or stick up for him, depending what mood she was in. She liked Brecka well enough but the main reason she'd join his side was to irk Chaq, who she was in constant competition with. One day the three were out exploring the boundries of the pack. Chaq and Elphie had slipped away from the old nursewolf babysitting them and had dragged Brecka along. As the pups trotted, Chaq with his head held high and the larger Brecka in stride with his tail between his legs; they talked of courage and what made a wolf brave. This led to an argument between Elphie and Chaq on which one was boldest. Brecka refused to take a side. Eventually they came to the skirts of the pack boundary. The three wolves were in respectful silence, appreciating the border that already seemed to challenge them. Chaq snorted to his sister, eager to prove her wrong. "If you are so brave, sister, go across," There was little doubt in his mind she would not. The elders had warned the pups time and time again never to go into no-wolves-land. Elphie smarted with anger, and she protested "That's not fair, Chaq," Chaq rose his head high in victory. Elphie, not to be bested, took a deep breath and gave a sudden hop across the border. Brecka gave an anxious whine as she grinned back at her brother triumphantly. Chaq growled. "That's not far enough," He protested. Elphaba cautiously paced a few steps further, gaining confidence with each stride. Finally, a good three yards away, perched at the edge of a chasm, she turned and barked victoriously. "You see brother," She cried proudly--but she never finished what she was going to say. Her foot slipped on some dry leaves. She slipped and began to roll down a steep incline with a loud yelp. Brecka and Chaq began barking furiously in panic as she disappeared from their view, but they held back from crossing the border. Brecka howled, and turned tail, running back towards the elders miserably. Chaq stayed at the border calling for his sister, but there was no reply. Elphaba seemed to have fallen to her death.

Devvyl The first pup Elphie ever met in the woods. They were fast friends and after Selia arrived the three formed the infamous trio! xD Now that they're grown Elphaba not only loves Devvyl as a close friend, but respects him, and gives her loyalty to him now that the pack's forming. And did I say 'loves him as a friend'? Because Miss Elphie also has a bit of a crush.. xD *cough cough* Though it appears it's not exactly requited. Aahh..the drama! Selia The other pup Elphaba grew up with, Elphie is very close to Selia. She's like a sister. From playing in the dirt to catching rabbits to forming a pack Selia's always been by Elphaba's side, and her sweet disposition has always cheered Elphie up. The two were in the middle of a love triangle with Devvyl but I'm betting they're still gonna be super close. Even in her sadness, Elphaba's impressed with Selia and herself for not letting one love sacrifice another. Faenaro Elphaba owes her life to Faenaro, and she's furious about that. xD Ever since they met as pups they never really got along. Faenaro seemed to have no respect for any wolf but himself, and still seems to be having trouble with that. He was invited to join the pack, but Elphaba's not sure if he's going to accept. He seems to want to be an Alpha, though Elphie can't see how anyone would respect him enough to follow him unless he changes his tune. Citlalin Citlalin was one of the first wolves to welcome Elphie to the forest when she was a pup. As Elphie grew Cit became a sort of mentor to her. As she learned to deal with learning how to hunt and later the confusion of becoming an adolescent, it was largely through Cit's advice. Elphaba respects Cit more than any other elder she's met. (Cit's also the only one who calls her 'Elpha', a mix between her nickname and her full name. x3! ) Other Friends/Encounters Inca--A spotted pup Elphaba has come across a couple times. She likes her well enough, though they haven't seen eachother too much Soul--An elder Elphaba has seen around many times. She's talked to her a couple times, but only short conversations. Notoka--Elphaba only met Notoka once. He seems to be a sort of leader for the elder wolves.

(( Post for Aris, who has permission to post! 3nodding ))
Elphaba looked up at the bleak sky, fern green eyes squinted to avoid the still bright glare of the sun behind the otherwise darkened clouds. A tiny p***k of cold touched her nose and she licked her lips, a little disconcerted. It was first snow. So this what what the older wolves had talked about. Elphie had always listened with fascination to tales of winter. She breathed out a cloud of silver vapor, deep in thought. These tiny crystals could blanket an entire forest? The female remained standing, her tail a banner of browns held out behind her as she stood in the slow swirling powder, almost zen-like. How strange the whole idea of winter seemed. Elphaba frowned as she tried to puzzle the whole phenomena out, she was not used to not understanding things.

((Let's say this was before the meeting with Selia, and this is what led her away from the others, X3))
Raine stepped away from the others for a second as something caught her eye. A dot. A white dot in the sky, falling down..
She watched it land on the ground, just as another white fleck landed right between her eyes. It was cold! A second later, it was gone; melted into water. What was that?
She spotted another falling through the air about a foot ahead of her, and rushed forward with her mouth opened up wide, letting the crystal settle on her tongue. She laughed excitedly as more began to fall, following each one in no particular pattern, dancing about and catching them on her fur.
As she followed them however, she was unwittingly getting further away from the others..
((ACK! Gotta go, >_>;;.. *grumble*.. I'll be back in a couple of hours, o_o))

(( Aww..Raine's so kyoot! xd I'm assuming her coat's cleaner by now as she was gonna wash herself off last post..if I remember right. Oy. XD ))
A familiar scent hit Elphaba's delicate senses. A sweet, milky smell that brought all at once a warm feeling of dusty memories kept long in storage as well as a touch of hesitation. Puppy. Elphie's lips twitched and her brow clouded slightly. She had never been especially good with the pups, and often found them exhausting and exasperating. However as the brown wolf turned her emerald gaze towards the scent and the sight she had to tilt her ears back and smile.
The little female was bounding after the flakes, her mind completely with the snow. Elphie knew that if she'd been a winter pup this is how she would have experienced her first snow, though by this time, vices of adulthood demanded Elphaba act more mature.
The adult padded towards the pup and announced herself with a soft whuff. "Having fun?" Her low voice was a bit gruff, and obviously not maternal, but there was genuine warmth in her tones.

The blue pup let out a small 'yip!' as she jumped into the air, snapping her jaws closed around another snowflake as it tumbled slowly down. Her black-and-blue paws weaved around each other as she danced around in circles, chasing down the tiny fragile flecks and trying to catch them before they disappeared on the cold dirt. The wolf pup engrossed herself completely in this little game, ignoring the small animals, and the trees..
..And that wolf over there..
Raine stumbled as she finally took notice, the brown female's words taking her by surprise. She yelped pitifully as her once graceful interweaving feet became tangled, and she clumsily flopped to the ground, her blue eyes staring up at the stranger.
((Yeah, she took a bath. I haven't put that up in her journal yet though, X3
She's cyoote, but she's SO timid. *gigglefit* xd
The voice in Raine's head: DANGER! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!))

(( XDD! ))
Elphaba smirked slightly to herself, amused by the pup's actions. She paused in her tracks, her green eyes flicked back and fourth in a cursory glance to make sure no other adults were near. Then she trotted over to the little one with a bounce in her step, and craned her neck down, tilting her head slightly to the side so her eyes were on the pup's same level. She looked a bit comical in that position. "I'm not going to eat you, pup," Elphaba chuckled mischeiviously, pulling back in case her actions were to frighten the little wolf.
"I was just impressed by your preformance with the.." She barely paused. What was the word? "Snowflakes. What's your name, wolfess?"

"R-Raine.." the pup mumbled in response, nervously darting her eyes around herself in search of a trace of the others. Were was she? She'd lost herself in her game, and now she was alone again, only to face another adult wolf. However, she was slightly eased by this wolf's gentle tone. She backed away a little, lowering her tail between her legs as a show that she was no threat.
((rofl.. As if Elphie would see her as a threat, X3 X3))

Elphaba laid her ears flat against her skull in a gesture that would seem submissive to another elder, yet friendly to a pup. She was heartened by Raine's manners; always glad to meet wolves with respect, especially young ones.
"Well, Raine. You can call me Elphie." With a flourish she granted the use of her nickname, smiling a bit. (( xd Elphie's a little bit...proud. *snorts* )) She didn't know why she was reacting this way to the little female, but maybe she was beginning to understand why her friend Selia was so crazy about pups. "So, little Raine, where do you come from?" She wondered if the blue-jay pup had strayed from a pack. If so, maybe they were close enough to find again. Or..did she even have a pack? So many of the wolves here, Elphaba included had come completely alone: lost, or even outcasts.
