Natural Ability:
Shared Sight – A Muut can see through the eyes of their owls by closing their own eyes and concentrating. Through the shared vision they get the perks of the owl’s vision (night vision) and other similar vision based perks. This way a Muut can scout ahead to feel out a dangerous situation or to simply spy on others. Abrupt break in this connection can be painful for both owl and Muut resulting in headaches and momentary disorientation. During this sharing of sight the Muut can only move very slowly and usually with the aid of a guide that they can trust.

Personality:
I don't need help!
It is hard getting Kettil to admit to needing help and it is even harder to get him to allow others to help. He has a very self-reliant attitude when it comes to things that he feels need to be done. It is not unlike Kettil to take on too many responsibilities and work himself to the point of passing out before he even begins to admit that perhaps it was a bit too much or that he needed someone to take away some of the workload. He believes that if he agrees to do something for someone else then he must be the one to do it and no one else. Kettil has a very firm work ethic and will do what he can to see everything through to the end even if it means crawling.

Rivalry is Healthy!
He likes a bit of friendly rivalry, he is often on the lookout for someone that can and will compete with him even if it is on a very silly level. Kettil loves competition and trying to outdo his rival but it is never taken to a malicious level. If his Rival is hurt or something is wrong with them he will put all competition aside to try and help them. If the rivalry is unfriendly then he doesn't even stop to help his rival and just leaves them there (depending on the history they have together). Kettil believes in good sportsmanship above all else and thus will never cheat when in a competition no matter who the rival is.

Life is a Comedy!
Laughing is wonderful - or so Kettil feels. He loves to crack a good joke and to just have fun and sometimes it makes it seem like he doesn't take anything around him seriously at all. Making jokes is how he deals with most things that are happening to him or that he feels is hurtful. He refuses to shout. He refuses to cry. He refuses to be angry. Of course this means he bottles his emotions in and sooner or later he might pop but Kettil feels like he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it. He doesn't believe that sitting back and crying will fix anything.

New stuff? Count me in!
He likes to try new things. Strange food? He'll try it. A new sports activity? He'll try it. Anything and everything if he feels it is within his power to do so he will try it. This can be somewhat of a danger to him since sometimes the things that might get his interest might hurt him (or kill him) at some point if he isn't careful or doesn't take precautions. There are certain things he would NOT do so the urge to try new things doesn't make him completely unreasonable.

Family is love, family is comfort.
Being from a large family it is pretty easy for him to feel rather lonely when he is somewhere on his own for a long time. Kettil loves his family even if they might get under his skin sometimes, but still he loves them all just the same. He hopes that when he goes off on his own he will have a family just as big (if not bigger) as the one he came from but it isn't something he obsesses over. He daydreams about it and even tries to picture his perfect mate but other than that he's pretty cool with just being free and single right now.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
His family sent him to the Academy simply because it is tradition and because he bothered them until they deemed he was ready to go. Kettil wants to meet new people, learn new things. He was bored and boredom doesn't sit well with Kettil. There is of course the usual desire to do better than his siblings and to improve his skills but those reasons are boring.

FEAR Ability:
Unseen Mayhem - Kettil can go invisible, however, he cannot be in eyesight of his chosen victim and also if he bumps into something, trips, or physically touches (or hits) his victim then he becomes visible again. Kettil is allowed to speak or make noises as much as he pleases (to further unnerve his target before he strikes). This ability will improve as he grows. (Using Battle Mechanics: The Mind)

Physical Description:

Eye Colour: Dark Green. Cleek!
Hair Colour/Style: Hair is purple tinted like this
Out of personal preference he has his hair in dread locks. Length wise they come about to the middle of his back. The dreadlocks are nicely cared for, look clean. Styled something like in these pictures:

Colors should of course be in keeping with Halloween. So black, orange, or blood red would be best.
Skin Colour: Something like this but a shade or two darker perhaps. Up to the artist.
Clothing Style/Colours: Doesn't really matter. I picture a few belts with pouches. A lot (at least 4) of necklaces with charms. Easy to move in pants. Open shirts and/or vests vests. Woven bracelets. Maybe earrings/piercings. Additional owl feathers here and there don't hurt either. Inspiration from the image linked here is also good.
Extra: He's about 6'1", Pretty well built. It's easy to see he exercises a lot. Definitely loves to eat.

ABOUT THE FAMILIAR

Name: Endzela
Nicknames: Endy, Zela, La-la~
Gender: Female
Breed: Great Horned Owl

Personality: Amongst strangers Endzela can seem rather reserved, quiet, and even a little shy. When she gets to know others more and opens up to them she shows that she is just as goofy and fun loving as the reaper she is attached to. She tends to enable some of Kettil's behavior but she also draws him back if she thinks something he's about to do is dangerous, even if he doesn't always listen. Endzela is pretty stubborn in her own ways and if Kettil doesn't appease her she might take it out on him with a silent treatment or just simply not doing what is asked of her (a combination of these tactics are also employed). She is also very spoiled by the fact that Kettil rarely dismisses her unless he absolutely must or if she is in danger. All in all she has a good relationship with Kettil and they are obviously very dear to each other.

ABOUT MUUT

Origins____
The Muut can be traced back to a single individual who had started it all. This individual was said to have been named Muut as well and had started the philosophies and teachings of the group as a whole. It is uncertain the origins of this individual or where he is now but the group do show a lot of respect and love toward him for he was their foundation. It can be said that Muut is a bit narcissistic for allowing the group to be named after him and it could also be said that he was a little overly fond of owls but other than that not much more can be said about him since it'd been a long time since he was last seen or heard from and anyone that had regular contact with Muut has died or otherwise moved on elsewhere.

Culture____
Muut are a group of individuals that have Native American appearance to them and practice many Native American beliefs. Many of the Muut are most similar in traditions and mindset of the Cahuilla tribe in the human world. They are generally peaceful and tend to have the mindset of 'live and let live' unless they are attacked first. When forced the Muut are rather fierce and proud fighters.

They tend to form groups of what could be loosely described as 'tribes' that have a mixture of families that work well together or have a similar family of owls amongst their group thus allowing them to more easily agree on where to live. Some Muut live in trees, while others might burrow into ground it is all about suiting the conditions their owls prefer. A happy owl is a good owl.

Familiar____
Muut always, always have an owl familiar. Common type of owl is the Great Horned Owl since they are often associated with leading the dead into the afterlife in various mythos. Some Muut may have a different type of owl but it is never anything else. Owls are how the Muut do what they do. For some reason the Muut are deeply attuned to owl and their voices harmonize with these familiars best for the magics they do. After a Muut forms a bond with their owl they start to take on various characteristics of them be it through markings, hairstyle, or what they wear.

Owls generally have the same lifespan the Muut does that summoned them, usually only dying when their summoner does. Owls are fairly fragile in physical form and thus are very much protected and looked after by their summoner to make sure they do not get harmed.

Most Muut children 'meet' their owl at various ages though the usual age is around the age of five. It takes a while for the Muut child to maintain the owl without accidentally sending them away in some fashion due to the lack of control over the ability to summon. Parents of Muut children tend to allow the child to borrow their owls in order to learn proper care and handling during this transition stage.The owls essentially grow with their summoner starting as a young owlet and growing up with the child that summoned them.

Owls do not talk unless the Muut that summons them is nearby this is generally thought that it is because the Muut is the source of their voice via the FEAR they share in life together.

Inner Workings____
The Muut access their magics via chanting (these chants are passed down through generations of Muut by mouth). The Owl plays a part in this with the sounds they make in time to the chanting the Muut does. There are various little rhymes and chants that a Muut must do and sometimes they are accompanied by rituals depending on how complex the chant is and what it calls for. If there is no Owl there is no chanting. Harmony and balance is lost.

Owls also can act as a sort of a 'storage' for chants being able to helpfully remind a Muut if they can't remember a chant they learned but sometimes even owls have a lapse in memory depending on what is happening at the time.

FEAR and Muut____
Muut work best with the fear of the unseen or unforeseeable. The things that make humans worried or paranoid would be the FEAR they work best with. Thanks to the internet which helps circulate conspiracy theories and the like the number of Muut being born has risen these past years.

Some Muut are pranksters and will sometimes use owl calls to make people frightened in dark parks or forests.

ABOUT THE BLACKE FAMILY

Kettil's Family Members____
Right now Kettil's home consists of his mother, his father, three brothers, two sisters, and his widowed grandmother. They are a pretty tight knit group and willing to sacrifice for each other. Of course there is a selfish one or two in the bunch but all in all they aren't horrible people and tend to be pretty respectable.

Tradition: Name Game____
No one in the Blacke family recall who started it and no one really saw fit to call this 'tradition' to an end. The Name Game is simply the fact that if someone calls you by your real name you owe them 3 favors and no matter what the favor is you must follow through or else you 'lose the game' and have to take on a punishment of sorts for the refusal. Generally the Owls refuse to play along with it so it is just kept to the Blacke family. The three favors can only be cashed in once. This is why Kettil doesn't go by Kajika in general populace and thus far he's managed to keep himself (mostly) out of trouble.
