It was dusk, a time when the sun was just kissing the horizon and the air was starting to cool, when a rather large stallion heard a faint cry. His ears twitched slightly, swivling around to find the direction it was coming from before zoning in. "Hm? Sounds as though whoever it is needs help..." He quickly got to his hooves, shaking his body to rid it of grass or dirt before quickly trotting towards the cries. Pretty soon it became more clear. A young colt, if he was correct, crying out "Mama? Mama!" over and over again. Eros flattened his eyes as he finally came upon the young boy and came near. Fortuneately this foal was difficult to spook. "Hey there, kiddo. What's the matter? Have you lost your family?" his voice had a trace of uncertainty but he was sure that he couldn't just leave the foal here to fend for himself. That would be a cruelty he was uncapable of. He looked around for any traces of a female, but none where to be seen. The young boy awkwardly balanced from one hoof to the other. "Y-yes, sir. I've lost my mama... I don't know... I guess I forgot which way I came from..." young Adakias spoke with a trembling lip.

Lady Aria Starstone Aurianna was trotting home, after spending a lovely day watching the newest babies and baskets, checking on new mothers, and mothers to be, and felt thoroughly content. She swished her tail, holding it high, in pure contentment. As she drew near, however, she found herself stopped. She heard a faint voice of distress! What was causing that? She turned and began to head towards it, focused on the direction it came from. She didn't, therefor, notice the voices talking as she drew close, not until she was almost on top of the pair. Her eyes went wide, startled, and she pulled up, to make sure as not to run into either of them. "Oh! I'm sorry. I thought I heard some one upset..." The mare looked between the two, foal and stallion, and found herself thinking they... probably weren't related. She glanced at the stallion, and blinked, realizing it was a fellow Angeni, but then refocused on the little foal.

Adakias jumped at the sudden appearance of yet another adult and he faced her with a look of pure interest on his face. These were funny adults to him. Many large pretty wings for him to stare at, and he seemed to be very distracted with doing so. Eros turned his attention on the new comer, though giving little glances to the young one to make sure he was alright. "Hello, miss. You had heard correctly. This little guy was awfully upset though he seems to have simmered down quite a bit..." Seeing that Adakias was focused on his wings he gave the mighty appendages a gentle flap to amuse the boy, who seemed all the more intrigued as he observed them. A warm chuckle came from deep inside of the stallion before his eyes focused back on the female. "Appears as though he has lost his mother, poor thing. Just then young Adakias snapped back to reality, nodding at Eros' words. "Yes, my mother. I can not find her... or my father! Even my sister is not around. I shouldn't have wandered this far... I'm lost and I shall never return home! I might even get kidnapped by goblins! They might eat my rocks for dessert!" Eros stared at the imaginative colt with interest. "Come now, I'm sure they wouldn't. I hear golbins are quite pleasant creatures, even if not the prettiest things to look at," he tried to comfort the boy without crushing his childish fantasies. "What is your name?" he lowered his head, so not to spook the child. "I'm Adakias. My mama calls me Kias though. What's your name, mister?" The tall angeni gave a comforting smile before bowing his head lightly, "The name is Eros. It's nice to meet you Kias." He glanced up to the dazzling female, almost expecting her to give her own introduction.

Aria Aurianna tilted her head back and forth, listening to this interchange, and tried not to chuckle at Adakias's concern about the rocks and the goblins. "Well, young Adakias, I will admit I have never seen any goblins in these woods, and I live here.. And as for who I am... I am Aurianna. You can call me Auri, if you like." She tilted her head, and pondered the lad, and Eros. He seemed to be working well with the lad. "Hmmmm so can you describe what your home looks like, perhaps, Adakias? Maybe Eros or I knows that area well enough to lead you back, and then we can help you find your home... Or, at least, I could. I do not know if you have things you need to do." She added the last apologetically, realizing she sounded as if she was volunteering the other angeni for duties, without asking. She did like the way he was trying to help, and thought it would be nice to have assistance. "If we can't, you can always spend the night with me and we can try again tomorrow." She flexed her wings some, thoughtfully.

'Auri' Eros stored the name in his mind, thinking it would be needed for later. Such a unique name she had. Adakias looks as though a wave of relief washes over him when Auri explains that she hasn't had any run in with goblins around these parts. Eros chuckled as the foal seemed to be genuinely serious about such nonsense. It was cute to think that one so young could dream and believe of such interesting tales. "Mmmm, my home? It's nice and grassy and has a big lonely tree... I try to keep it company though..." tilts his head and sticks his tongue out as he tires to think harder. "That's all I can think of... other than a rock... a tall rock that I like to try and climb... but I always fall off..." he appears to seem a bit defeated as he explains the last part. Eros gave a small smirk of his description of home but to his dismay he couldn't think of any place like that. There were many single trees that spread across the grassy plains and was certain there was more than a few good sized rocks out there. At Auri's suggestion Eros raised his brow, shaking his head firmly but slowly. "Nothing on my to do list that is more important than this." He gave a definite nod before staring down at the young boy whose eyes found their way back to the wings, focusing more and Auri's now. "Besides, it's better to travel in numbers after sunset. Safer," he knew all the dangers came out in the night and would protect these two kindly aquaintances if they were threatened.

Aria Starstone Auri smiled quietly at the relief the little lad felt, and gave the stallion a smile, pleased they were calming the lad. Well he had quite the imagination, and that was good, but she didn't want him to get all worked up over it, nor make himself sick with worry or fear. She listened hard to the boy, and though she kept the smile on her face, the description did not match anything she knew of. "Do you... recall at all what way you came into this grove, maybe?" At least if they got a starting direction, maybe they could work their way towards Adakias's home, and she could take short trips into the air to see if she spotted anyone looking for him, or something that matched the description, especially once they left the trees. "I don't know that spot, but I will most certainly help you find it." She glanced at Eros again and beamed at him. "Thank you, truly thank you for taking the time out to help. And yes, I agree." Her eyes shadowed a moment, knowing of the dangers, even if she had not, as yet, personally met them. "Two of us are better watchers then one." She nodded, and whickered softly as she thought.

Adakias listened to the lady and gave a quick nod, as if he already predicted her answer. "Oh, yes I do! It was definitely this way!" he stood in a pointer stance, nose facing the direction he was gesturing. Then his smile faltered out of nowhere and he glanced around after realizing those trees didn't seem to familiar. "Oh maybe.... that way?" he glanced the other direction. His fluffy ears and tail drooped slightly. Eros smiled down at the boy and shook his head at his cluelessness. "It's alright, kid. We'll find it one way or another. You'll be reunited with your family very soon." He leaned down and nuzzled the colts soft mane before focusing his attention back on the lovely mare, giving a tilt of his head. "Perhaps we should head off towards the plains... that's the location that comes to mind first." He galloped around them both once, circling as if to work himself up for the trip. "Though, we shouldn't rest there tonight. If we do not fine your home by sun down you'll just return with us. We shall keep you safe throughout the night. Correct, Aurianna?" He looked towards the mare yet again.

Aria Starstone Auri looked relieved at his certainty, and amused at the way he pointed, then the relief poofed, though she was careful to hide it. "It's so eay to get turned around in these woods, Adakias. I'm sure I would be all lost if I did not live here." She smiles at the boys and nods. "Yes, let's. It seems likely, to me, that would be were to go." She put a wing gently across the young foal's back, rather like a human giving a shoulder hug to some one. "Let us be off." She nodded again. "Oh yes, you are correct. If needs be, I know of a small cave near here, water-worn into the side of the river bank, that we can rest in for the night."

Eros gave a relieved and kindly smile to Auri, "Sounds cozy. A very suitable place for a slumber party, don't you think so Adakias?" He thought fondly of the way she comforted the foal. Almost as though she were a professional at easing a young heart. How he desired that sort of aura about his own self. Adakias tilted his head back and snugged himself beneath the wing, giving a firm nod. "Yes, sir. I have never had a slumber party or sleep over or anything like that but it sounds super fun." He bit his lip, wondering if the stallion might even tell him a bedtime story, or maybe listen to one of his own. Soon they were off, keeping a fairly steady and moderate pace so as not to loose precious daylight. The sun was nearly down and Eros' strongest wish right now was that the family resided just in the boarder of the plains in plain sight. Eros turned to Auri and looked her over from the corner of his eyes every few moments, wondering if he should make light talk between the three of them. "You know, when I was a young colt I often lost my family. I have made many helpful friends because of it, though I eventually learned how not to get lost so easily." He gave a usual warm hearted chuckle before fixing his eyes to the ground before them, watching his steps.

Aria Starstone Auri bobbed her head in a relaxed nod, as she comforted young Adakias. "Well I find it cozy, I've rested there once or twice when caught out by bad weather. It's lovely." She calmly kept pace with them, her eyes tracking the slowly lengthening shadows of the woods, just in case of something happening. She was prepared to do what she must, but she'd rather not have problems. "Mmm never a slumber party, lad? Well then, if it comes to that, we shall certainly have to remedy it. A slumber party with friends, now that's a delight no foal should miss!" She grinned down at him, then tilted her ears. When Eros spoke of his family, she smiled a little, wistfully. "That sounds like a nice thing, Eros, for surely such friends last a life time, and are worth any price to keep close." Friendship was something to be valued, after all.

Adakias gave a flick of his tail and cooed softly, "Oh~ Friends? Slumber party with my friends?" he contemplated things for a while, as if lost in his own thoughts and ignoring any of the adults words after he was hypnotized by his ideas. Eros didn't notice the disconnection from the foal and went on, as if teaching a great lesson, "Such friends are something to cherish for life. A good friend is always something to hold close to your heart and never let go. Never let rust." All the sudden he felt a lack of something and glanced down to the foal but saw nothing where he had once been. "Adak--" he paused as he glanced back to see the foal standing frozen in his tracks. "Kias, what's the matter?" The young colt had a determined look on his face and shook his head positively, "I don't wanna go home tonight. I wanna have one of these... slumber things. A party! With you guys!" He spoke excitedly. Eros widened his eyes and wasn't to sure about the idea. They couldn't really give the okay on this could they. After all, it was not their foal to decide for. He glanced over at Auri uncertainly so and waited for her response, because in this moment he was at a loss.

Aria Starstone Auri blinked, surprised a b it at the coo, and glanced at him. Seeing him get all zoned, she slowed, making sure to keep pace with him, so that when he stopped, so did she, amused. She kept listening to Eros with half an ear, trying not to giggle at how he was giving this lesson to the lad, and the lad was all but lost to it, focused on his own inner workings. When Eros realized, she bit her lower lip, carefully, the urge to laugh strong. Not a mean laugh, oh no, but she knew many stallions would be hurt in their pride at such, so she kept it inside. "You wish to have a slumber party..." She glanced up at the sky, eyes half narrowed as she thought, then looked back at Eros. "I don't think we'll make forest's edge before the sun meets the horizon fully. Perhaps it would be better, safer, to do so? Less risk one of us" She gave a quick flick of her eyes to the foal, her head turned so only Eros could see. "will step in a mole hole or something and injure a leg. And the cave is not far."

Adakias seemed to light up as Aurianna seemed to be shifting more towards his side but Eros still seemed a bit repelled by the idea. He glanced back towards the direction they were traveling, trying to calculate how much further they'd have to travel before judging by the shadows in the forest how much time they had left. He didn't even count in the time it would take to even search the lands of the plains. They were vast and seemingly endless at times. Finally, he came to his conclusion and nodded, "I suppose that it would be safer for all of us if we located this cozy little cave and spent the night there." His seriousness seemed to fade though as he watched the young colt bounce and cheer happily around their feet, ducking under their bellies and running around. 'Well, at least he'll tire himself out with all this excitement,' the angeni thought to himself rolling his eyes half heartedly before starting to walk back in the direction from whence they came. "The cave you speak of is back this way, correct?" he directed his attention towards the striped mare, being careful where he stepped so as not to kick or harm the frolicking foal in any way.

Aria Starstone Auri couldn't help giggling at the excitement the young foal felt at her statement. She took a good moment to get herself calm, then looked at Eros. She glanced at the lad, and murmured so only Eros would hear "Come on, it wont be so bad... He's a fine young foal, and I'm not such bad company as that, am I? I mean, I know I can be... um... very oriented on the foals, but really, it's what I am..." She was relieved that he agreed, at least. "It isn't far, and actually..." She turned and nodded a little further in the direction they were going, but into the trees more. "That way... The curve of the river it sits on is that way." She smiled a little. "Care to follow me, then, lad and m'lord?" She said the last in a completely friendly, but teasing, way.
