Having exchanged eyephone numbers with her partner, Astra was keen to begin their research on the dust bunnies, as well as getting to know the shy baku ghoul. She seemed like a really friendly person, and the fairy wanted to know more bout her.
Over the course of a few days, they had decided to conduct the research in Xiu's room, since they wouldn't have to be quiet and privately she thought her partner might be more comfortable there then in her room. Plus, with all the plants about if the bunnies got lose, they may never find them again.
And so, on the appointed day she had flown over to the demon dorms, a small backpack over her should which contained the bunnies, as well as a few notebooks and pens to write their findings in, and lightly knocked on the door.

...This wasn't good.
The first thing Xiu had done when she got the bottle of dust bunnies was to sketch out how they looked, noting things like their features, size, and personality characteristics. For example, they all seemed to be...rowdy little things, pushing at each other in the small confines of the bottle. Now, though?
The Baku had been horrified to find that all three of them had grown exponentially over the days, and had eventually even found a way to break out from their glass prison. When Astra knocked on the door, one of them had been just about to launch itself at Xiu when Arashi--Xiu's Storm Melonkit--promptly swatted it out of the air with a low growl. While the feline was busy chasing the dratted things around the room, Xiu hurried to answer the door.
"A-astra!" She greeted, smiling as she pushed open the door to let her enter, "Ready to get to work?" If the ghoul were to look past her and into the room, she would find that Xiu's pet had two of the creatures under each paw, and one gripped gently in it's mouth.

Before the door was opened, Astra's antenna pricked at the sounds of something bouncing around in Xiu's room, following by something else growling. Curious about the sounds, she waited As the door was opened, and smiled back at the baku ghoul. "Hi Xiu!" she said, walking into the room and setting down her stuff she looked around xiu, able to spy the dust bunnies...which had grown up quite fast.
She had been feeding her own ones of course, but they had yet to grow as big as Xiu's bunnies. Although weather this was a good or bad thing, she wasn't sure.
"Yup, I'm all ready" The fairy replied as she began to pull out her equipment, including her notebook. It already had a few notes about the general appearance of the bunnies, and a little about their temperament as well.

 Indeed, the dust bunnies had grown...quite a bit since when they first got them. They were no longer the small, cute little balls of fluff, rather than something that was...overall, a little disturbing to look at. Smiling a little sheepishly, the Baku gestured towards the table, where she had set out two seats and laid out all of her work over the table. "Should we start by comparing notes? And then we can--ah! A-arashi!"
The Storm Melonkit was struggling to keep all the dust bunnies pinned down, so Xiu hastily grabbed a laundry basket and turned it over. Sneaking closer to the minis, she waited until her pet got out of the way, and then...there! A makeshift cage! She dumped a heavy textbook on top, just to ensure that the creatures wouldn't be able to escape.
Sighing, Xiu turned back to Astra with a small grimace. "T-these things are...kind of hard to take care of." It just seemed like they kept getting progressively more violent as well!

"Umm...S-sure?" Astra replied, eyes widening at the sight of the dust bunnies up close. They looked much different now then they had before, and it was a little disconcerting to see something that had been keen on attacking them...had grown a lot bigger. And stronger by the looks of things. While Xiu was setting up the..'habitat' Astra began to lay out her books and notes and have a glance at what Xiu had been able to find. The fairy was quite impressed with what Xiu had so far. The information she had down was quite informative. Looking up at the baku ghoul as she had finished, she then looked back to the minipet with a small frown, " Y-yeah..." She took out her own bottle, setting it down on the table and staring at it intensely, though the bunnies inside looked just as angry as the one under the table. "...Perhaps there is a way to make them calm down?" She eventually suggested. "Like....ummm, feeding them a certain type of fear candy?" They might have liked to be petted, but Astra was hesitant to put her hands anywhere near the larger dust bunnies.

"Fear candy, hmmm?" She mused, looking thoughtful. It was a good suggestion! "I have some that I bought for Arashi. Maybe we could see if there are any different, er, effects that it has on the smaller dust bunnies versus the larger ones?" To be honest, Xiu was willing to try almost anything to get the creatures to settle down. There was only so long before they were able to find their way out from under the basket!
As she peered in through the gaps of the basket, the Baku hummed thoughtfully, knitting her brows together as she gingerly poked a finger in through the gaps. "They weren't as rowdy when they were little," She murmured, jerking her hand back when one of them made a snap for her finger, "But now..."
Shaking her head, she straightened up and moved over to where Astra was. "I-I'm sorry, I'm being rude. Can I get you anything to drink? To eat? ...Spookies?"

"That sounds like a good plan" Astra nodded, thinking that she could have tried to make some herself, to get a idea of what they liked. However she then remembered that the only time she had successfully made then, was with the help of 4 other students. Her FEAR levels weren't high enough to make them by herself...poo.
Leaning over to the basket as Xiu stuck her finger in, she jumped backwards as the thing tried to bite it off. "Y-yeah...It could be a a-adult thing...They might be tamer when they're littler..." If only Professor malcom was here to give them some help...
"Oh! You have some spookies?" Her eyes lit up at the mention of candy. "That would be great! er, I mean, yes please" She added in, trying to be polite.
She then returned to looking at her bottle, trying to think of how to proceed in their studies. "...hmmm" She mused as she looked it over, then sighed. Just looking at the bottle was going to help, so...
"At least they'll be a little easier to han-AH!" She didn't get to finish her sentence. No sooner did the lid come off did the bunnies inside jump out, smacking her in the head, and then going to hide under the table.
"Come back!" She ducked under the table in order to try and catch them before they got away.

"I always have lots of spookies," Xiu admitted, looking a little sheepish as she went to retrieve a plate from the kitchen, "I can't go a week without baking, I swear." She grabbed two glasses of water as well, setting everything on a tray and gingerly picking it up. Her gazed was focused on the tray, so she didn't notice what had happened until she heard Astra cry out.
Nearly dropping the tray, Xiu managed to settle it down on her desk before rushing over, ears perked and eyes wide and alert. "A-astra! What's wrong? A-are you oka--" She cut herself off when she realized what had happened. She noticed a small gray thing streak beneath the table, followed by her partner ducking underneath in an attempt to retrieve it.
Oh...these dust bunnies!
Xiu immediately crouched down to help, hoping that the small dust bunnies wouldn't--somehow--free the larger ones from their basket-cage. Arashi was there too, ready to pounce if any of the creatures went his way.

Astra may have been small and quick in her own right, but in this situation, she was competing against someone who was much better then her. She crawled underneath the table, finding the dust bunny hiding behind one of the legs, and went to grab at it but it had ducked out of her way in a blur of dust and fur.
"Carefull Xiu!" She said, a little worried her partner might get hurt as she saw her trying to catch it as well. By now it was dashing towards Arashi, trying to manevur around the feline minipet before it could get caught, but it was having a bit of trouble doing so. It seemed like it was trying to reach the other dust bunnies...
((it's up to you if you want to let Arashi catch them or not :3))

Ooh, these things were speedy, weren't they? The Baku grimaced as one darted through her fingers, pausing to turn back and look at her as if it was taunting her. Fortunately, it looked like Arashi was waiting close by, ready to pounce on that same little dust bunny. The feline bristled at the sight of the creature, and once it was close enough, he suddenly leaped right at it.
The good news? He had managed to catch the little dust bunny between his two front paws. The bad news?
The basket-cage holding Xiu's larger dust bunnies had been tipped over as a result. Before Xiu could even react, they darted out in different spots in the room, effectively protecting themselves from the possibility of all of them being cornered at the same time.
"U-uh oh."

And somehow (but not surprisingly), the situation had went from bad, to worse in a matter of moments. Astra looked horrified to see the other bigger bunnies had escape from their cage. This couldn't be good, she didn't know how bad the bigger ones could get, or how strong they were too. Their teeth weren't very friendly looking either...
"Ah!" Astra quickly crept from underneath the table, searching around the room, she spied one of them bear the bookshelf. "D-don't worry, I'll catch them!" she said to Xiu, and then approached the shelf. She was a knob after all..so this wouldn't be to hard to do, right? If she had to, she could use her staff if need be...Although weather she could do anything useful with her staff in this situation, was another question.

"U-um, I...I guess we'll each take one!" She nodded as Astra darted towards the bookcase, and Arashi went after the one that had head towards the bathroom. As for Xiu, she hadn't seen where the last one had gone, but if the noise coming from the kitchen was any indication...
...Oh, that dust bunny had better not destroy any of her cooking equipment! The Baku puffed out her cheeks at the thought, rushing into the kitchen to find that the creature was trying very hard to shove a bowl of sugar off of the counter. It was only moving an inch at a time, but it would only be so long until the bowl was pushed from the counter and shattered over the ground. Without any hesitation, Xiu jumped forward in an attempt to grab the mischevious little thing. It managed to escape, but at least the sugar bowl was undamaged.
As she eyed the large dust bunny, hands raised to grab it, Xiu wondered what had happened to the little bunnies that had escaped.

Speaking of the little bunnies, They were doing a very good job of escaping Astra, as well as doing their best to frustrate her in the process. She had managed to corner one of the larger ones in the bookcase, but one had decided to sneak up on her and had jumped up on her, causing her to jump in surprise. And before she knew it, the one she had been trying to catch had jumped on her as well
"GetoffgetoffgetoffGETOFF" The fairy flailed, trying to remove both of them before they could bite her, but soon realized they had already jumped off. "Hmph" It was then she noticed that some of them had managed to get onto the table, and were currently eating-
"The spookies!" Astra cried in dismay "Hey! those are mine!" She went to save the remainder of the snacks, but unfortunately by the time she had got there, they were all gone.

Xiu fingers grasped air as the bunny jumped away at the last moment, rolling out of the kitchen and out of view. Honestly, the baku wasn't sure if the little things could make any noise, but she was certain that she heard a little cackle come in the direction that the dust bunny had disappeared in. Bristling, she was about to chase after it when she heard Astra's panicked calling.
"A-astra! Are you okay?" From the looks of things, the mischievous little bunnies had decided to hop onto the poor reaper, and then...hey! Were they devouring the spookies she had set out for Astra?
Puffing out her cheeks, the Baku rushed towards where the overturned laundry basket was, grabbing it and holding it over her head. Slowly, she approached the table where the little dust bunnies were and...there! Down came the basket, trapping the creatures in a makeshift cage. Phew, well...there were the little ones taken care of.
...Now what about the bigger ones?

Now that the spookies were devoured, Astra's blood was boiling, and she was out for revenge. And revenge she would get! The spookies would be avenged!
"I'm okay..." She said to Xiu ,a sligh note of anger in her voice, then gazed around the room in search of the bunnies. Aha! there they were, hiding underneath the sofa. Glaring, the fairy flew into the air, being careful to land quietly on top of the sofa, then creep to the edge, leaning over slightly so she could see them. And then, she waited. Waited patiently for the dust bunnies to move out into the open.
It wasn't long. As they scuttled out cautiously, she jumped down from the sofa, taking her hat off and slamming it over the top of them.
And just like that, they were caught.
"Haha!" She said triumphantly, holding up her hat with the bunnies squirming inside. "That'll teach ya for eating the spookies!"
