x x x x x Tall by a human's standard and short by an Ayrou's, Syreen comes in at
x x x x x about six-feet in height (plus an inch or two with her boots on). She has
x x x x x a lithe, willowy build with long slender arms. Thanks to her avian heritage
x x x x x she is very light -- about two-hundred and fifty pounds -- but also has
x x x x x very brittle bones. She has high, dramatic, cheek bones and a flat nose
x x x x x beneath wide spread pupil-less green eyes. Her skin is a very pale shade
x x x x x of purple and her "hair" is actually fine white feathers. They grow straight
x x x x x back from her temple and are only a little over six inches in length at the
x x x x x longest. The bottom layer is interspersed with a few peacock like feathers
x x x x x in green, red, and yellow.
x x x x x Biography
x x x x x Syreen was born on her specie's home planet of Maya Kovel in the
x x x x x Mendell Sector. Her force-sensitivity was discovered at a very young age
x x x x x and because of the relatively lax Sith presence on the planet the Rebel
x x x x x forces were able to smuggle her away without notice. She was raised at
x x x x x the Jedi Temple on Tatooine by the people there, none of whom were
x x x x x her species. Although she studied Ayrou history and culture excessively,
x x x x x she was never part of it. She had no troubles living entirely among other
x x x x x species except for the matter of her voice. An Aryou's voice is an awful
x x x x x screeching noise that is nicely described as a songbird being strangled
x x x x x and less nicely accused of causing physical injury. When she was little
x x x x x people would flinch when she spoke and the other initiates would avoid
x x x x x her in the hallways. As she became aware of why she was being treated
x x x x x in such a manner she began to use her voice less and less, relying on
x x x x x the telepathy natural to all force users, until around age eight where she
x x x x x stopped speaking verbally altogether.
x x x x x She was accepted as a Padawan by a Jedi who was elevated to the rank
x x x x x of master shortly after Syreen passed to that of a Jedi Knight. She took
x x x x x part in all kinds of missions and adventures then, but once she gain the
x x x x x freedom of a Knight she took exclusively the missions that required tact
x x x x x and stealth over brute strength. She wanted to end the war as much as
x x x x x anyone else but she believed that somewhere there was a way to do it
x x x x x quietly and with as little bloodshed as possible.

x x x x x Syreen is a quiet girl, in a dangerous way. She is friendly and outgoing
x x x x x and constantly gives the impression that she knows something you don't.
x x x x x She is the type of person who sits by and watches everything unfold,
x x x x x waiting for the perfect opportunity to make her move. She is sarcastic
x x x x x and snarky but genuinely cares about other people. However caring
x x x x x about people and being good at working with people are not mutually
x x x x x inclusive. Syreen is a horrible team player. You can talk and plan and
x x x x x scheme with her as much as you would like but as soon as you leave
x x x x x the war-room you can be guarantied she is going to do what ever it is
x x x x x she wants to. If she sees an obvious hole in an ally's plan, instead of
x x x x x pointing it out to them she simply makes her own plan based around
x x x x x their inevitable failure.
x x x x x She will always prefer stealth and cunning over a direct attack; be it in
x x x x x the field or in person situations. Syreen is a pacifistic at heart and will
x x x x x never make the first move in combat. She will defend herself but she
x x x x x will not kill unless the situation absolutely demands it.
x x x x x Fighting Style & Skills
x x x x x Syreen is not an aggressive person; her fighting style reflects this. In
x x x x x battle she uses a combination of the Soresu and Makashi fighting styles
x x x x x that reply on agility and defence. She is quite skilled at deflecting and
x x x x x using an opponents attack against them. She is quick and hard to hit,
x x x x x she follows the Sokan philosophy of using her surrounds to their best
x x x x x advantage. When she does attack Syreen uses her speed and cunning
x x x x x to gain the upper hand, often using Tràkata techniques and force skills.
x x x x x Her talents are best utilized on covert operations, using her natural and
x x x x x force-aided skills for stealth and coercion to uncover information or
x x x x x retrieve important information (and, occasionally, people). Because her
x x x x x training was largely non-combative she is much more adept at using her
x x x x x force abilities than at direct lightsaber combat and will often call upon
x x x x x those skills first.

x x x x x translucent green sleeves, over tight fitting gray pants. On her waist she
x x x x x wears a green sash, fastened with a leather belt, which she uses to hide
x x x x x a variety of small items and to hold her lightsaber when she does not
x x x x x need to hide it. Her feet are protected in sturdy leather boots. Her outfit
x x x x x was designed for manoeuvrability and style, not defence, and has no
x x x x x additional armour or protective value. When outside of the Jedi or Rebel
x x x x x compounds she will often wear a hooded cloak with wide sleeves; both
x x x x x for environmental and disguise purposes.

x x x x x x x x x She had arrived on Hoth two days ago, with a handful of tourists from one
x x x x x x x x x of the smaller, neutral, planets near Tatooine. One of her projects for the
x x x x x x x x x order had involved a low-level Coruscant politician’s aid who had become
x x x x x x x x x a spy for the Rebels. He wasn’t able to tell them much (supply routes,
x x x x x x x x x crew manifests, and the occasional rumour) but from time to time his
x x x x x x x x x information had proved very valuable. A few days before he had sent them
x x x x x x x x x a hurried message to meet him on Hoth; he had found something very
x x x x x x x x x important that he could not tell them over the secure line. The message
x x x x x x x x x had been passed on to Syreen and she had been waiting at the casino
x x x x x x x x x bar ever since.
x x x x x x x x x Although she was his ‘official’ handler Syreen had only met the man in
x x x x x x x x x person once before; most of their communication had been through
x x x x x x x x x encoded data transmitions. Whatever this information was that he felt it
x x x x x x x x x had to be delivered face to face, it was clearly dangerous. The spy was
x x x x x x x x x not a careless man – he covered his tracks well and made sure to stay
x x x x x x x x x well under the radar – but in the transmition he had sounded scared.
x x x x x x x x x Syreen hoped that he had not stuck his neck out too far.
