Lily was one of the few who wasn't floundering any longer at the thought of chibi senshi being placed on the battle field. No, it seemed inevitable and Lily for one was more worried about making sure when the war ended they were all still alive. That they were all still alive and well, hopefully with their innocence in tact. For this reason she trained with Sam and encouraged the training.
Today however was not a day for training, no today was a day for fun. She afterall did want her little friend to have all the fun he possible could. So Lily drove up to his house parking and heading up to Sam's house. She was going to take him the state fair, so they could have a break, ride rides, play games, eat junk and buy everything their heart's desired.
Lily raised her hand and knocked waiting patiently for the door to be opened so today's adventure could be started.

The door was answered by Sam himself. He was wearing his usual summer outfit, and looked like he was ready for a fair. The dark-haired boy was wearing plain jeans and converse sneakers with a plaid short sleeve button up shirt. A blotch of white sunscreen was on his nose; Sam was trying to rub it in with his free hand. “Moooom, Lily is here! Can I go now?”
Sam’s mother, Delia, came down the stairs simultaneously trying to put in a pair of dangly earrings. “Hi sweetie, excited for school to start?” Once the earrings were in place, Delia went for her purse and pulled out a couple twenty dollar bills, handing them to Lily instead of Sam. “We really appreciate you taking him today Lily. Robert and I, we wanted to, but you know how it is, things come up. I’m sure you two will have more fun then we would have though.” Delia smiled, “and just make sure Sam doesn’t spend all that in one place. There’s enough there for rides and food, and a bit extra for the gas money. Have fun you two!”
Sam took Lily’s arm and ushered her out the door, waving good bye to his mom. “I thought she’d never shut up.” Sam laughed a bit.

Lily laughed lightly at Sam's attempts to rid his nose of sunblock. It was adorable and she had to resist the urge to snap a picture, which lucky for her was aided by the fact that she left her camera in the car.
When Delia came to the door and asked her about school, Lily nodded excitedly. "Yes, very. I mean my first semester of college, can you believe it Mrs. Delia."
She nodded at the woman's ramblings, accepting the money even though as soon as they got into the car she would simply give it to Sam. Of course she would make sure he spent it wisely, but she truly thought he was old enough to have it himself. He was afterall a senshi as well, it generally made one more mature. Chaonis came to mind and the word generally echo'd through her head.
At the have fun, Lily was being rushed out the door, calling goodbye over her shoulder and grinning at Sam. "Got a bit of cabin fever, huh Sam?"

“You could say that.” Sam scratched his head a little when he replied.
It wasn’t so much that Sam had cabin fever, it was more like he was bored out of his mind with the last few days of summer. His mom wasn’t much help either. There was always a bit of a nagging notion that he should go out and play like a normal kid. But when he did go out, it wasn’t often to play, and his mother worried about the times he came home. Being a senshi was draining work. Stressing about what lies to tell his parents about where he was going didn’t help.
Being a normal kid for one day, and doing something completely normal was exactly what he needed. He gave Lily a grin. “I just wanna eat hot dogs and cotton candy and ride the roller coaster till I puke. And then ride it some more.”
Sam followed Lily to her car and hopped into the front passenger seat. He all set for a day of normal kid adventures.

Lily laughed and shook her head, all kids and teenagers too got cabin fever so it didnt surprise her. "I've got cabin fever too, sssshhh though, mums the word. My parents swear I do not get it." She laughed again.
She however had to frown when Sam spouted about eating and riding until he threw up and she found herself decided not to simply hand Sam all the money his mom gave her right off. "I hope you save the puking for never and plays some games too. Don't you want to win some prizes. I'm going to try to win something for all my friends."
She climbed into the car and started up the engine, promptly switching on the radio and looking to Sam. "It's going to be a bit of a ride, so pick a station."
Lily fully intended to rock out to the radio with Sam on the way to the fair, singing her heart out. Thank heavens she sang very well.

Like a typical kid, Sam was much more excited about the idea of sugary treats and crazy wild rides then games. The thrill of whooshing down a slope at crazy speeds and ramming into other people with bumper cars. Sam was a boy, what could anyone except but for him to like speed and cheap thrills.
The idea of games and winning prizes never even entered his mind until Lily mentioned it. Like a competitive male, Sam puffed up his chest. “I’ll win you something!” She’d like that right? And if he was especially lucky, maybe he could win something else for another, smaller, friend of his.
Sam turned the radio to the general top 40s station. It was just what he was used to, all the other kids at school usually listened to it. The ride was over before too long.
When they arrived at the fair the duo had to line up to enter and get their ride passes, but soon enough they were through the gate and greeted with the bright whirling lights and sounds of the fair.

Lily grinned when Sam said he would win her something. He was her little buddy and it made her feel happy, even though Sam was hardly little, Lily was very lucky to be fairly tall for a girl and having several inches on the ever growing boy.
She of course sang on the ride up, pleased with the station Sam picked but they were there all too soon looking up at the ride. Even Lily couldnt help going slightly wide eyed at the all the rides and game and even the food.
She looked to Sam, "well what do you want to do first. Shall we grab some cotton candy or will it be a ride first?" Lily was hoping for a ride, wanting to stave of any possibility of puking for as long as possible.
She waited with an excited grin on her face.

Sam glanced at Lily, reading her face as she looked at all the rides with wide eyes. While the idea of sugar appealed to him, he was drawn to the rides and he knew Lily would probably enjoy something fun and musical. Maybe not the scary roller coaster just yet.
“What about that one?” Sam pointed to a ride that was called ‘Round the World’. It had loud thumping music and a background painted behind it of different iconic places from around the globe. Watching it go around once, he saw the ride spun backwards and forwards at various speeds; it started nice and slow until it picked up the pace. But it was relatively small and only a slightly incline. It couldn’t possibly be too bad for their first round of rides.

Lily turned and looked at the ride Sam pointed out and grinned. It looked like a lot of fun and it seems a good starter ride. Senshi or no senshi Lily wasn't starting off on a roller coaster right off.
She nodded, "that one looks like it will be fun," she said before winking at Sam and running toward the ride calling out, "race you," as she ran.
She slowed of course not actually wanting to beat Sam to the ride of possible loose him. Oh how would she explain that ... i just got here and I lost this kid I was with. Getting in line she grinned happy it didn't seem to be to long a wait.
She looked to Sam pointing to a building with crazy images painted on it. "Look its a mirror hall, we will have to try that later and maybe see if they have a haunted house, though I doubt it can scare us."

Running after Lily, Sam wasn’t far behind her, and he caught up with her in the line.
He looked to where she had pointed, taking in the sight of the mirror fun house. Not exactly what he would normally think of as a fun ride, wandering through a place that just made you look at distorted images of himself. But he could hear the laughter that was coming from the place, giggling girls stumbling out. Lily would enjoy it, and he got to pick first. “Sure!”
Before their turn on the ride came up, Sam watched the carts go around, trying to figure out with one he wanted to ride in. He was really specific about colors or numbers. Spying a flashy red one, like Lily’s hair, Sam decided he wanted to be in that one. “Hey Lil! Let’s go for that one when we get up there.”
Soon, they were let through the gate and Sam raced off to get the 'good seat'.

Lily grinned as Sam agreed to go on in the mirror house with her. She wondered if the room where you could hardly tell where you were was in the mirror house, she hoped. She remembered it was fun to play in that room.
She watched as Sam seemed to be looking for something than pointed out a red cart of them to ride in and Lily nodded quickly, "sure, why not. We got to beat everyone else to it though."
When the gate was opened of course she took of after Sam hopping into the red cart with him and waiting for the ride to start excited. They were checked as was the ride standard, the operator moved to the controls and the ride started, starting slow, jostling them around and causing Lily to laugh in enjoyment, grinning at Sam until it went backwards making her give a little yelp and dissolve into laughter once more.

Right there with Lily, Sam was laughing the whole way through the ride.
It was over much faster then he would have hoped. When it stopped it took him a few seconds to really gain his barrings when he got out of the cart. But when he did, he lead Lily off to the mirror fun house. He had never been in one before, so when they were allowed to enter, he let the redhead take the led.

Lily smiled at being able to go into the mirror house second. Sam was very considerate and she have to compliment his parents at sometime for doing such a good job.
As soon as she walked in, it was a hall with mirrors to once side and the very first on was the super tall which stretched Lily out and made her look like a stick. She laughed and moved onto the next one which made her super wide, she looked like she gained 300 pounds. It was so odd.
She moved on waffling moving past, giant head, uber short, big feet, long legs short body and so many more laughter erupting as they became more absurd, until they came to her favorite part the mirror room.
Of course she ran off and found a good place to hide before calling out to Sam. "Can you find me?"
All her reflections smiled. "I'm over here ..." all her reflections waved.

Mirror after mirror, Sam laughed at his distorted image. He made faces at himself, enjoying how when he bit his upper lip and pulled a face, one mirror distorted his head to look huge. Sam ended up looking very much like an ogre. In each mirror he did something different, until he got to the strange room were all he could see was reflections of himself and Lily. She had gotten ahead of him.
In most of the mirrors, it looked like Lily was standing next to him, but in reality she was nowhere near. “Where are you?”
Sam thought he saw the real Lily, and ran around a corner to catch her, but it was again just a tricky mirror. The darn things were messing with his head. “I can’t find you!” Sam huffed.

Lily watched as Sam called out asking where she was with a slight grin on her face, she covered her mouth to stifle a grin and it showed in her reflection. She watched as Sam ran over thinking he'd found her and she wasn't there. She was having a hard time not laughing.
As soon as he had turned claiming he couldn't find her she shuffled out right up behind her, "Boo," she called out smiling.
She laughed lightly and grinned at Sam, "come on lets get out of here. There are tons more rides to ride and games to play. Let not let the day get away from us."
